1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: Today at 09:41:35 AM
Congratulations to Kuku's stack but they're now under the organization of TNC Predator. Now, the teams for the closed qualifier for the SEA region are complete.

Tomorrow, we're going to see the playoffs and this is just a quick one and it's for the qualifier for the Riyadh Masters.

The first team that TNC is going to face is Aurora. Do you think that they have what it takes to beat them on a best-of-3 series?

I think they don't stand a chance against Aurora line-up but I'm glad to see TNC Predator in Dota 2 pro scene once more and I'm sure Kuku's fan enjoy it as well because we know he is mega popular in South Asia.

Meanwhile , this Riyadh qualifiers looks very suspect right ? trows over trows , teams who line up a team just to compete for this ( bald reborn per example ) and losing dramatically or winning out of nowhere and so on. I've tried to place 2 bets in South America last night and I will never ever trow money in anonymous teams.
They've lost against Aurora and moved down to lower bracket. And TNC won against Execration, now, they're against Bleed Esports after Bleed got eliminated by Talon Esports a while ago.

There is no doubt that Kuku has a huge fan base in South East Asia.

And speaking of lower bracket, it is likely that they're going to be against Blacklist International later on.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please be careful when you download anti-virus on: Today at 07:50:52 AM
I had experienced this before when I was still naive, I was able to download a free antivirus, and that was like Avast, IIRC.

And then, all of a sudden, the computer became slower, and then a lot of pop-up ads came already. I think that I have downloaded a fake version.

If there are folks that are still using outdated windows operating system, they're more prone to these fake anti-virus which might contain malware.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: [poorbot.io] | Exchanger for Stake - fast, cheap, simple on: May 31, 2024, 06:57:45 PM
It is quite surprising that Poorbot team has instantly taken the action after knowing the decision of Eddie. They could have operated until Stake team removed the tipping feature permanently.
They know what's coming and that's probably why he had to remove it before it was officially removed.

I think it was better if there was a coordination about it and it will be officially a feature of stake per se.

Anyway, it's stake's platform and they have no choice but to just adhere to the decision of stake's management.

Possible that they might appear somewhere else after this that has also a tipping feature.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it proper for one to trade Bitcoin through a trusted friend ? on: May 30, 2024, 07:05:40 PM
I totally agree with you on this, but the question now is ?

How about one who actually have zero or no knowledge about the crypto but have an interest on investing so as to enable Him grow more weather?
If it's not going to take your time, then help that friend of yours.

Because with having that person wanting to trade from you with his/her fiat, all it takes is a simple yes from you. But if you're not comfortable doing that, you're also free to decline that.

You're in no obligation of doing the deal if it seems uncomfortable to you. However, if that person insists and really want to have it then just teach them how to buy in exchanges.

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Always Be in an Uptrend? on: May 30, 2024, 08:19:24 AM
Since the launch of a bitcoin exchange-traded fund earlier this year, bitcoin has recovered and even surpassed its all-time highs set during the 2021 bull run. But for weeks, it looked like the largest cryptocurrency was trading sideways at best.
Don't be in a hurry.

How long it has been since the ETF of Bitcoin has been approved and traded? It seems that the generation nowadays are always in a hurry and always want to see Bitcoin's action everyday.

It doesn't go like that but we're going in the bull run anytime soon and you have to do is to wait for it. It's not always green but it's also not always going to be red.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting bitcoin to fiat without problems on: May 29, 2024, 05:07:29 PM
Now that you have mentioned that you own it and you're asking for some help, someone might sneak out on you and try to convince to help you privately.

Be careful with those people because you will never know if they have genuine intentions.

Going back to cashing out your BTC into fiat. I think that has done it in the past knows that if there's a sudden big deposit on your bank account, that will trigger them to have some spot on you and will serve as a red flag without proving where it came from.

With that, whether you trade in cex, dex or p2p, don't withdraw it all at once. Do it in several batches.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do if you are loged out from your Sportsbet app after wining? on: May 29, 2024, 03:23:46 PM
I haven't gone into this kind of situation. I am trying to access the article but it's not loading on my end.

So, with his account that can't be accessed anymore. It's possible that he could recover it when he contacted immediately the support before he tried to log in several times.

I think that's one factor why the system or the support didn't give a response. But then, that's just my opinion because I can't go through with the full details through the article, maybe someone or OP can post the whole or the important details about this story.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How will you advice a newbie about this in 2024? on: May 29, 2024, 01:51:03 PM
I am willing to ask the audience though, so here it is,  is a copied white paper still a red flag for projects? If a newbie ask you this question what will be your answer to them?
It is a red flag.

Because a serious project won't copy any other project's whitepaper. Whether it is a few of it or all of it, a copy is a copy. It's a serious offense and just think about plagiarism. There's a serious punishment about it for example here in the forum.

Because this days, roughly all projects have same utilities, and also white papers, the only real difference I can see is the team members, and the money they are able to raise, is it a good advice to tell a newbie to count more on the team past experinece? Because saying this means that the team will atleast know how to do marketing and pump their token on their first bull market experience.
Well, IMHO, there should be a different approach about pumping their token. If the team is experienced and serious, they have to be grandstanding with the actual project itself that includes everything. Use case, whitepaper, tokenomics, etc.

I know that there successful projects that are not perfect but if it's with standard, you shouldn't lower yours even if a newbie is asking for it.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Im looking for passive ways to earn yield daily weekly ? on: May 28, 2024, 09:08:29 PM
Probably the best that you can do is stake your assets in different exchanges
I won't advice this. I know that we're all looking for some additional income and have it passively but staking it on different exchanges is like depositing your money in the bank.

They'd give you return a bit but the risk is passed on your money but, if you can afford to do that with the amount you have then I guess that's fine.

Another thing that I would like to add is that you can also try investing in the Ronin's Katana farm, it's basically staking but probably much more cheaper and the reward token has a high upside potential.
I think if this was done on the past bull run of 2021, it's better but OP may try it as long as he's ready to put that risk. Well, he's even prepared to do it with nexo although it's a known platform but we just can't be sure about these centralized exchanges in the long run.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do low fees matter most in choosing crypto platforms, or other factors? on: May 28, 2024, 07:30:18 PM
Why not all of those good factors are needed when we're choosing an exchange or any kind of crypto platform that includes are money? Except the investing platforms because there is a misconception about it.

There are scams that play around with that title about being called an "investment platform" by their own scammers.

So, going back to the genuine one. It's about low fees, with security, huge volume, etc. and all of those things that we all need as users.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lunatic gamblers who says Airdrop rewards are free funds. on: May 28, 2024, 04:41:46 AM
Well, just apply the rules about "my money, my rules".

And regardless of where they've taken that, it's not a problem at all on how they're going to spend it. By the time they've earned that money, they can spend it freely on anything they want.

Reinvest and buy Bitcoin or even gamble with it all day long. There is no obligation for you even you're friends with them if they have already decided and have a plan on how they're going to spend it.

I like that "my money, my rules" term, it's like that. People should be free to do whatever they want with their money. I guess we can apply "easy come, easy go" here as well, when we earn money in some easy way we usually spend that money pretty fast. Claiming some airdrops can be pretty simple & easy.
Yeah, that's very simple and we don't meddle with what others do if it is their private property or money.

There is always something smart that can be done with money, but the desire for easy money through gambling is very tempting, especially for those who love risk. I guess there are a lot of them here, a lot of active gamblers in one place... I am one of them, and I busted some money on gambling a lot of times that came from some work. There are no regrets, I guess I wanted that in that moment and that's it. Maybe we are all lunatic gamblers.
You said it loud and clear.

When it's about money making, everyone listens and has their own ways and many will agree that when the first time we'd knew about gambling, we have all thought the same thing.

We make some and bust a lot of it and this is the life of gamblers. But when someone tells or dictates you where you should spend your money, that's a different thing.

Even as gamblers, we don't want to hear something like that but we appreciate the concern.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lunatic gamblers who says Airdrop rewards are free funds. on: May 27, 2024, 05:23:19 PM
There is absolutely no Source of income that is free but some of my Bitcoin investors friends who are as much gamblers would not want to agree to that.
Currently, there had been several airdrops projects ongoing which participants are earning crypto coins without investing of money but executing some tasks.

So some of my friends says such funds are free money so they are delighted dedicating it to be spent on gambling and when they lost it all, it would be easier to let go because they did not stress to get the money.
Meanwhile... This usually comes a huge amount of money beyond their normal gambling budgets.

To me, they can utilize these so called free money by adding it up to their Bitcoin portfolio or even used it to spend on necessary things instead of dedicating to lavish it on gambling.

14  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to start portal like betfair etc on: May 27, 2024, 02:03:54 PM
Thank you all for your comments. To clarify, I am looking for an API and a portal similar to Betfair, where users and resellers can register and manage payments and withdrawals.
What do you mean by resellers? So, is it going to be an actual casino or not?

Perhaps a white-label solution would be a good starting point for learning and getting things up and running?
Don't get into any agreement with this kind of solution if you don't know yet what you're about to do. The tendency of you spending a lot of money and losing it is high if you don't know have an idea on what you're about to do.

So, if you want to learn the expensive way, well then this is the way to go. But if you don't want to, there are many ways and just as they say, one of it is to just hire a team or someone to do it for you.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens when the big Bitcoin whales stops buying? on: May 27, 2024, 11:05:23 AM
The question is, what happens when they stop buying?  It's possible these big whales might at some point reach there limits or for some reasons they might stop buying and just decide to keep holding or maybe sell there bitcoin at the point. what's going to be the fate of Bitcoin in that instance?
Always apply the law of supply and demand. If there are fewer buyers then the demand will be lower and that will result in a lower price of Bitcoin. Although this is very unlikely that they'd stop buying because we're still here, the shrimps in the big ocean of this market will buy all of those cheap Bitcoins then.

But with halving and ETFs, I don't think that the demand will be even lower this time because we're on the cycle and this is gonna be a bull run. And if they decide to sell Bitcoins, it's still the same thing, there will be more supplies in the economy that will result in cheaper BTCs too.

While with this kind of situation, maybe we'd get some view of it on the bear market but that's going to take time.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC/SAT/μBTC/mBTC on: May 26, 2024, 09:24:33 PM
IMHO, it's easier to understand if the measurement is simply to be said as BTC. But whichever you are comfortable to say the amount, you can tell that to whom you are talking to.

At the end of the day, there's always the internet that someone will use for searching the actual conversion per bits, sats, etc.

We should honestly be solely using either BTC or sats only, to make it a lot simpler for everyone entirely. The others are just useful in rare cases(I actually never used them myself as normies haven't even heard of them) but are entirely unnecessary complication in my opinion.
I agree.

Plain, simple, and easily understood by everyone and you can put any amount with them and just put that measurement however you want.

This is the same that we're in a class and there are a lot of measurements from other examples in weight, there's kilos, pounds, tons, grams, etc.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 26, 2024, 07:40:57 PM
Meanwhile, two games on lower bracket tomorrow. Totally leaning towards BB and AR. I'll just go with straight winner and not mess this one up, I just hope my confidence wont knock my sock off this time
I think that AR got this and if they win the series against Heroic, they're going to face their co-Chinese team, XG.
-snip

Well they did but I was unhappy that Roobet actually nulified my one of my bets on my parlay. Im not sure if this is the case on all other bookies but what the heck was this

BB's bet was not marked as a win because AR 'forfeited' by default? thats insane, it should have been marked as a win. Not that it really going to change that much of my profit but its just silly
It should have been a win when BB's opponent forfeited the game. Actually, it was the admins of the game that forfeited the game and made BB win.

And it wasn't AR that forfeited the game, it was Aurora Esports. I'm not sure about the rules of most bookies about forfeited games because it's based on their rules or biases. But IMHO, it should be a win for BB since the series ended up with a 2-1.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are undervalued in 2024? on: May 26, 2024, 05:58:13 PM
IMHO, any of them are undervalued right now. But the hype and trend will start to come back with these altcoins that will be filed with an ETF spot.

I guess that it's what the people will be flocking in when the institutions start to rampant with their applications to the next ones after BTC/ETH etf has been made.

And with the rumors in the circulation, the two possible next ones could be xrp and sol.
19  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for online job on: May 25, 2024, 11:03:31 AM
If no one contacts you here, try out the other marketplaces for developers like you and get paid with USDT.

Also try the common freelancing marketplace like fiverr and upwork, you'll get paid there in USD and all you have to do is to convert that into USDT.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of people in this section do not understand basic gambling concepts. on: May 25, 2024, 09:10:41 AM
Even for the top VIP accounts there's never a positive return to player. There's no casino that will allow any player to have more returns than losses simply by wagering. It never happens.

Many people are simply fooled by the vip programs. Yes, some sites are more generous than others but we have to realize that it's not a realistic expectation to expect at some point to be earning more than losing simply by playing at a casino. Even if you reach the highest VIP level, which means you lost millions, the casino is even st that point going to have a house edge against you. Maybe with the bonuses the house edge is lower, but never positive.
There are some privileges that casinos do give to the VIPs that they have. But you're right, it is not more than the potential win that they can get so, it's still under the lines of their losses.

But that feeling of what the casinos offer for VIPs looks great whenever you do. At the end of the day, it's still business for them and you as a VIP understands that but still have that privilege and some incentives coming.
