1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found This Stupid Promotion Circulating on Social Media on: June 11, 2024, 10:21:55 AM
This thread proves how much everyone here in the forum believes in Bitcoin, it shows in the reply that everyone has done. What I do not understand is that even with those replies these shitcoins are challenging the Bitcoin community as it does not make any sense. Today they might be gaining the popularity and the support of their community, can they sustain that kind of support? I do not think it is possible the reason being a community needs to believe in the principle of upgrading or changing the existing financial infrastructure. Whereas these shit coins only believe in one thing and that is utilizing the hype to create a trend, which I agree they were able to do it. Looking at the amount of projects being launched for tapping suggests that this is another hype, which will go on for a few years and then it will die. What makes me happy is that shit coins now will have a new way to attack investors.
Shitcoins and these meme coins continue to grow and the hype makes it more appealing to greedy individuals which is why no matter how we convince people not to buy them, they still do. We can say that social media's influence has a huge impact on the market and manipulates the mindset of the people. At this time, social media platforms helped a lot of scammers to become successful in their plans, and more innocent people got into trouble for trusting and following them. I was sad how it has been allowed and no restrictions happen knowing that they are scamming people.

3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you really want from gambling? on: June 10, 2024, 08:27:36 AM
...
Maybe the sensation we get when we gamble is where the fun lies, because I sometimes feel confused about those who gamble for fun, unless they are ready to lose money and fully understand what gambling is like. But even those who gamble for fun doesn't mean they don't want to win.
There is no fun if you just gamble for money but this is the undeniable fact that, if not all, the majority are thinking of growing their money from this. That is why even poor people, despite their situation and for the sake of their gambling habits still have the guts to spare money for it.

The common reason why people gamble is for money but unfortunately, we all not given such an opportunity to become lucky and win. While only a few gamblers are winning, the majority are losing badly. As a gambler, we should accept the fact that gambling is not a place to rely on when it comes to earning because no matter what we do, it can never change the reality.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 07, 2024, 01:38:31 PM
The majority of us will say NO but why not if we are destined to be a successful gambler? Of course, our negativity drives our minds to think negatively but it is possible in real life.

It can be one source of income but it doesn't mean we have to be fully reliant on this.
We have not to generalize that all gamblers are losers, many also have made their life better by doing this. We can say only a few of them, yet it is not really convincing but for them, they had already achieved things that can't be simply achieved by having stable jobs.

7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What type of a trader/investor is this? on: June 03, 2024, 11:22:25 AM
Too much assumptions and greed will certainly end up in regrets. It has been shown and proven many times that this is not good in crypto and even in other forms of trading. That is why we should have to change this kind of strategy and adopt the best and working way of trading.
I would prefer to earn at least 3-5% every close trade rather than aiming for 101%.

A smart investor/trader knows what is best for them but that person pointed out by OP is a newbie to this. I think he/she needs some experience and trading advice or else, this will happen again and again.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it proper for one to trade Bitcoin through a trusted friend ? on: June 01, 2024, 11:46:01 AM
Haven't nurturing this idea of trading a Bitcoin in the near future, but one question that's always come as a concern to me is. Is proper for me to trust a friend of that high magnitude ?
That is an option if your friend deserves for such a level of trust. I know some people are doing this and still doing it well but yes, some also got in trouble due to misuse of funds. I hope you consider this situation and take extra precautions when doing this because when it talks about money, many people are wrong and get tempted by it. But if I were you, I'd rather take the risk of doing it personally because if ever I lose, I know where I am wrong and I could learn something about it. And it is not difficult to accept it than it happens because we let other people do it.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greediness or Addiction -which one is more disastrous? on: May 31, 2024, 02:22:40 PM
People who can not control his greediness in gambling will falls deeper in gambling without seeing that he is makes mistakes. When people becomes addicted to gambling, he will not thinks about himself and only want to playing gambling and when he win, he wants to get more win and at that time, his greediness will becomes big. He will not have a chance to control himself and that will only makes him deeper in gambling. Both greediness and addiction can makes someone's lives ruins and can not see what happens to him. That is why we must have good self control when playing gambling so we do not addicted to gambling and we can control our greediness. Playing gambling is just for fun so we can always limits our gambling activity and not trying to playing gambling excessively which can effects us to addicted to gambling.
I do not agree with this, addiction could make you fall into a pit, and being too greedy could turn into addiction as well, but greed itself is not dangerous at default because it can be stopped. You could be greedy once, and learn your mistake and never be that greedy again, in that case greed isn't bad because it teaches you how to do better.

I personally believe that we are going to end up with something much better one way or another, and should definitely consider how we can get better from it. Addiction on the other hand is not something that would be all that great, we should consider how we could get better and how we could move forward with it, it shouldn't be really all that complicated because addiction is much worse.
And I believe that greediness can be stopped as we realized that we are doing wrong but addiction seems to be a big challenge for everyone that hardly changes. The more we chase losses, the more we become addicted, and the more it becomes disastrous to our lives.
Maybe, if we can stop our greediness to the fullest, I believe this will end everything we suffer which I believe it is the main reason for addiction. Having these things, gambling is not enjoyable anymore and this brings us to the worst scenario as we are about to compromise our lives mentally and financially.

Honestly, it is too lucky to see a gambler who is addicted but not greedy or vice versa.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exposure to bitcoin at young age on: May 30, 2024, 04:46:19 AM
Do you think if someone knows about bitcoin and just spends time learning about the technology and how it works without taking advantage of it to make a profit? I don't think anyone can do that, especially young people who always desire to get rich and even have the idea of getting rich quickly.
It’s true that some people are too greedy but I don’t think that that should hinder them from learning about bitcoin still. Greed and impatience can be changed over time with effort and dedication. New knowledge is always helpful if we just learn how to manage and control it.

Besides not a lot of people would be able to invest right away no matter what they try to do due to lack of funds. Still it’s nice to have that knowledge in store.
They want to learn about something for a good purpose and investment plan. It makes no sense to learn things that you never use instead, make it a reason why we should push through.

I hope young age also give a reason to prepare for their future as early as possible and see Bitcoin as one of their opportunities. They are more advanced and more techy individuals which I believe it was not difficult for them to adopt.

Money is not a big problem if we really have to make it happen. Parents could give support if they know their kids have a good plan in their lives.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does addicted gamblers only lose money all the time on: May 26, 2024, 10:42:40 PM
Addicted gamblers have nothing to do with their life but to keep on gambling until empty. Winning and losing are natural in gambling but because of their gambling habits and addiction, even if they win, they lose them all as they continue to gamble. Nothing important for them other than gambling and every time they have money in their hands, they walk away and please themselves to the casino. That is how bad the addiction would be. Mentally stressful that ruins their life and finances.

JMF will be relax, will probably be streaming with his mobile legend games, LOL.. That's how cool their big guy but is beast in the court because he is unstoppable. I didn't finished the game but i think it was Don Trollano which was named as the best player of the game as he is the reason for the big comeback of the SMB.
Does he plays ML and LOL? I thought that he's only playing Dota 2. But yeah, he can have his relaxation for now while waiting who's going to win against Ginebra and Meralco Bolts. By the way, congratulations to SMB for advancing to the finals after defeating Rain or Shine with a straight 4-0, they really are a strong team no doubt.
They rested early, I think they'll easily win the championship again in the Finals. I don't know if it's Ginebra or Meralco, but I like to see Meralco advancing to the Finals so it's MVP and Cojuangco group that will face, no more "cooking show" rumors between the two. It was an impressive performance by Ginebra in game 4, they were able to even the series but I think Meralco will bounce back next game and will also have their big win.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 25, 2024, 11:07:18 AM

Then, literally speaking, it is really bad, because this is what has formed in the minds of the majority of people that gambling is bad because there are many ruined lives and suicides
due to gambling addiction. But the truth is that it is up to the gambler how he handled it because if it is wrong, the outcome will be really bad, but if it is right, for sure it might have helped him.
Yes, gamblers who think that this is the solution to their financial problem will suffer difficulties in life. Because no matter how much they spend in gambling and how long they've been doing this it won't change and increase the chances of winning still, it lies on luck. This thing must be understood first before gambling and change our mindset because gambling is not a money maker that makes a gambler become rich but this is just for fun and entertainment instead.

As a gambler, I would say we should be responsible and if we introduce gambling to the people around we should give them time to educate them as well and tell them what are possible things may happen to us.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are your holdings ready for this altcoinseason? on: May 25, 2024, 10:33:20 AM
I'm feeling the pressure not to miss out on this bull run. I'm confident in my portfolio of solid coins, but I don't think they're quite cutting it. I want my investments to bring in serious wealth. I've heard about meme coins making people rich overnight, but I'm a bit wary of jumping into that arena.
Don't make yourself a fool by those people who spread wrong information and pretend they become rich overnight, it is a big lie. I could agree that they are earning money for meme coins but not in saying they become rich in real.
Quote
By the way, do you think older coins will see the biggest price surges compared to newer ones? What are your thoughts on this?
It depends on the coins/projects but most of the old projects have working projects which is a ticket or our assurance of success and profitable investment. Unlike new coins like meme coins, they are just built with hype but no working project to keep them sustainable because after the surge/hype, it will start to decline and the worst is to die. Perhaps, they are known for such an ending story as these meme coins are not far from being shitcoins.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How you trade in uncertain times? on: May 25, 2024, 08:44:21 AM
I always use highly volatile coins and stable coins trading pairs. Sometimes it works well but sometimes, as normal I lose.
I would say that trading is just good and profitable during bull season but not during bear season. Although I was not a full-trader but with my experience in all market seasons, I could really feel the big difference. And this is what I usually did, I held during the market crisis and just went back to trading when it started to recover. From that strategy, I secured my funds but I'm not sure if this will work on others because of different styles and market approaches.

But for me, we'd rather not trade if we feel uncertain instead, hold them. There are good and bad times for trading, we must know it through market analysis and experience.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 25, 2024, 07:58:17 AM
I think we heard it all and surely we all agree that this is not a good idea nor thinking about it every time we gamble.

If we are a responsible gambler, we don't have to compromise finances for the sake of gambling. Not that I call this useless stuff but it is not the necessary thing that we need to fund money.

This is all about funds management and keeping in mind that gambling ensures nothing but more losses. I am a gambler but just use only my extra money.
I believe that changing our gambling habits by minimizing our time spent and funds allocation is a good way of dealing with this.
