521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know how to use Fundamental and Technical Analysis on: November 11, 2023, 06:20:20 AM
Fundamental tells you what to do, while Technical tells you when to do it
This is the shortest explanation for this two, and yes this is correct.
Fundamental tells us if the project if worthy, and technical analysis helps us on timing the market so we can get the best price at the right time. This two should complement each other and if you are a long term investor, better not to forget to do fundamental analysis because not all project can be good in long term.
Both of them had different roles, traders would use TA while Holder would use FA. This is why we just focus on understanding the one the most needed for us, though we can still learn both of them as well. But the question arises if we could execute it well because it makes no sense if we fail to understand the situation of the market. We know TA and FA, plus executed well, and choose the right project(s) --success isn't far from happening. That is obviously not an easy job for us but certainly earn good rewards in the end.

522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes to watch out for on: November 10, 2023, 09:49:51 PM

- Always calculate your loss before profit: when you trade with what you can afford to lose, it is near impossible for your emotions not to be in check.

I don't think this is necessary as we are just spending and wasting our time on a thing that won't help us.
Because we probably know what is the possible outcome when trading and we certainly lose if lose control of our emotions. It is very important that we know how to manage our emotions as this is the main reason why many traders have failed. It is a big challenge for everyone but it is a must if we want to gain success and achieve our goal and it was not impossible either if we are too determined about it.

523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 10, 2023, 12:57:34 PM
The Bitcoin price has zero impact over my gambling habits. Why are you asking this question? Does the Bitcoin price have any impact over your gambling habits? I agree with other forum members that gambling with a deflationary currency/asset like Bitcoin seems totally stupid, because the BTC price might grow in the future. That's why I usually gamble with really small amounts of BTC or with fiat/altcoins.
People who gamble always focus on how much they can win. And gamblers never hold bitcoins on their gambling sites. a gambler's target is only to place a potential bet. So I agree with you that Bitcoin price increase will not bring any change in gambling habit.  But the change will bring those holding Bitcoin. So neither pumping nor dumping the price of Bitcoin will bring any change in gambling habits. Meanwhile, I always gamble against the dollar, so it doesn't matter to me whether the price of Bitcoin is pumped or dumped when it comes to gambling.
There's still a little change, I think, because if you own Bitcoin and you are just using it bit by bit to gamble, you might sometimes feel that if you lose your Bitcoin, you are also losing the opportunity to see it increase in value due to the bullish movement of Bitcoin. As a gambler and investor at the same time, it's important to ensure we treat what we are doing differently, and that would only happen if we are not greedy to make quick profit.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: November 10, 2023, 11:17:37 AM
I think it's hard to only gamble in weekend because we're free and we can do anything that we want. As long as our working friends or boss is allow us to gamble, most of people will being transparent and gamble at work.

Gambling is one of many ways about entertainment, similar like people who're playing game at work.
As long as your boss doesn't forbid it, it won't be a problem and if you can't stop your desire to gamble, there's nothing that forbids it. Moreover, every workplace has different rules so it's definitely not the same, maybe if the workplace is strict it won't be possible to gamble while working because you can Just being fired just because you accessed a gambling site and gambled would definitely violate the rules too.

But if your workplace allows it and your boss doesn't forbid it, I think it's a little strange, unless your boss is a gambler too and wants his workers to be lazy about working because of the emotion of losing at gambling and making their work a mess, to be honest, that will definitely have a bad impact on work. .

I honestly don't know any company where a boss allows its employees to gamble. Maybe some companies don't strictly enforce the rules, but I'm sure the 'no gambling at work' policy is part of the basic rules. It's not okay to gamble just because we're not caught; it's still unethical to gamble at work as an employee who is paid to be productive during working hours.
525  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 09, 2023, 09:49:48 PM
AI is created to help and bring convenience to humans, it is not created to replace or destroy humanity, so we should stop making exaggerated assumptions about AI.

Well, there is a theory that AI one day will launch missiles, as they are controlled by programs. But this theory is a complete fiction, movie or book plot. Not a single reasonable human will ever believe in that. As well as I wont believe that one day we will have manufactures that will provide so many robots (not exactly they must be managed by AI), that they will replace humans, and the only tasks humans would do are clicking button and creating new tasks for them. There are robotic helpers, but they work they can do is greatly limited. They wont be able to do something, where creativity is required
In the end, human skills and knowledge are still different from these AI. Maybe some type of work can be replaced with these robots but having said it replacing all, that seems impossible in the sense that their actions are limited. Yes, I really admire how this AI has been created to fill some important roles, especially in big companies but still, it is not enough to say that it takes everything otherwise, many people will become jobless which badly affects the economic growth of the country.
526  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 09, 2023, 02:57:32 PM
This is how the AI has been programmed and there is no difference from humans' expectations of the market. But all of those predictions pretty be wrong just like before. I see AI is good in some areas but getting involved in prediction, I don't think so.

Well, it doesn't matter, and if AI gets it right, will expect people to get crazy about it. Yeah, let us see how it is going and witness the end of 2023 if AI makes it. Well, $45k is quite high when considering the current price and a big chance that it never go beyond $40k
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rodriguez Vs Edwards IBF and IBO WORLD FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DEC 16 2023 on: November 09, 2023, 02:02:06 PM
Both fighters are undefeated, but I'm leaning towards Rodriguez due to his higher knockout rate compared to Edwards. According to their BoxRec records, Rodriguez has 11 knockouts in 18 fights, while Edwards has only secured 4 in 20 bouts.

This matchup is interesting as both remain undefeated, but I'm going with the underdog, Edwards. Even though he may not be a knockout artist, if he's a smart fighter in the ring, he has a good chance of extending his winning streak.

Voted already.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 09, 2023, 01:24:53 PM
I was so close to hit my first NBA betting ticket this year but unfortunately Clippers decided to lose against Nets and that ruined my entire bet.
LOL, do you really buy into that? I think the Clippers are still in the process of finding their true identity. The trouble began when Harden joined the team. For now, I'm just going to steer clear of betting on this team because they seem more like hype on paper than in actual games. Maybe when they start winning consistently, that's when I'll consider backing them.

I had , 76ers ML , Pacers ML , Wizards ML and Clippers ML with a total odds of 9.25  Sad and it was too late for me to actually stay awake and hunt a cashout option  Grin

Who would have thought the Clippers would lose? They're on a losing streak, so you'd expect them to play harder, especially as the heavy favorites in that game.

Anyway, better luck next time, bro.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Plan to Make the Most of Your Bitcoin Investment Before the Halving? on: November 08, 2023, 10:32:21 PM
Honestly, OP, don't focus on investing in Bitcoin alone because what you did is just like forcing yourselves to the limit and it looks like you are too aggressive. I'd never see any wrong with Bitcoin but must slow down as well because this is not competition and I don't want you to miss other investment opportunities aside from crypto. Because what if you fail from your assumptions? DCA is somewhat a good idea and the majority are using this strategy. And the thing that I would say --set a limit on your investment.
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 08, 2023, 10:07:31 PM
I would suggest sticking to top Altcoin and Bitcoin.

To keep it safe, we must do this but can't hold those gems hunters as they are happy hunting those projects that promise them XXX returns rather than choosing known coins like BTC and ETH.

Anyways, investing depends on our risk appetite. Some people have no worry about investing in new projects as they are not afraid to lose their money as well but those who are looking for safe investment (at least), better not dare to try this because that only will lead to losing, especially when doubts and uncertainty arise.
531  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 08, 2023, 09:48:37 PM
Well, no plan is made to fit perfectly into any situation which is why we can never expect that it will work perfectly, yet failure can still be possible. But yeah, it doesn't mean that it goes like that always as sometimes it works good but in the case it still incurs losses, modification is the next step. This is why we have Plan A and Plan B it is just an option where we think which one will function well. But it is not necessarily we have to push B if Plan A still gains some failures because our main goal is to reach Plan A.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 08, 2023, 02:25:15 PM
Turns out the ROS and Meralco game has become a high-scoring one, LOL. I hope they'll continue shooting well, as I have my bet on the total range of 221-230 with x20 odds. If I win this (lucky), I'll have more funds to gamble tomorrow since there are plenty of NBA games available.

Good luck on that, mate! In the 2nd quarter, they slowed down a bit, so let's hope they'll start to step on the pedal again in the 2nd half so you'll win your bet. Meralco is known as a low-scoring team, and when they are in control, the result is likely to be a low-scoring game. So far, they are leading by double digits already, so let's see if ROS will come back in the 2nd half.

The 2nd and 3rd quarter were the low scoring quarters but in the 4th quarter both teams scored at least 30 points but it was suppose to be a foul game and maybe his bet has a chance of winning. It's just unfortunate that ROS melted a lot of time and failed to shot the 3 point shot, that could have made the game interesting as they still have time out I believe.

Final score 107-102. MERALCO wins
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 08, 2023, 01:36:27 PM
The last undefeated team in the league has fallen now with the Minnesota Timberwolves beating the Boston Celtics. Minnesota is also the only team in the league to have beaten the Denver Nuggets. While it’s still early, the Timberwolves are showing they’re a team to beat this year. They’re also the number one rated defense in the league.

Another big win by the Timberwolves. That win should boost their morale somehow and continue to their winning ways. However, there's still a lot to improve before they can consider themselves a serious contender this season. Their 2 towers need to be consistent. I am not sold on Conley, they need a stable and younger PG, and it does not have to be a star player. Nonetheless, the Timberwolves are still undefeated with a 4-0 record at home.

They need that kind of consistency at home especially when the playoffs comes. That win was huge as they have done that even without KAT.
It's now looking good for the Wolves, the addition of  Conley to this team has somehow contribute well to what they have become now and Edwards had already matured as a player due to his big experience, especially playing the FIBA WC.

If they continue to work well and develop then they will become a serious problem to any teams. They have their 2 towers who are both capable on offense and defense while Edwards is starting to show his leadership. A PG with good passing skills will definitely make them much better since the current roster is very good already. But if they have no other other option then Conley is decent. I just see his $24 million purse this year is too expensive but I understand that no other team will accept him with that kind of salary.

Are you referring to Conley with that contract? I know he had a huge contract with Memphis before he got traded, but he is a decent player, no longer in his prime, but he could still improve a team. I don't even understand why the Jazz let him go.

Boston and Philadelphia are now tied with 5-1 records. Philly has a 5 game-win streak.

It seems like they really don't need Harden after all. Speaking of Harden, he made his debut with the Clippers against the Knicks, but unfortunately, they lost.

Good thing they unloaded Harden in the early part of this season. Now Tyrese Maxey's potential will be fully realized. I have high regard for the kid. The Clippers only started well but are now losing games against top-tier teams.

Chemistry cannot be easily formed. The good thing is that Harden was traded early in the season, so there's still plenty of time for the Clippers to fix their team. What's important for the Clippers now is that Leonard is fully healthy. I think their squad will be strong enough once they are in the playoffs.

Clippers at +1200 now to win a championship, I think this is a good steal.

534  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: November 07, 2023, 10:36:31 PM
Don't buy exactly at $35k unless you are a long term investor because we are at a stage from where price might either increase and take a leap or else if it was a trap then there would be a correction phase then it may drop slightly and then will take some more time for price to start increasing once again. You may set up a certain target above $35k let's say $36k and once Bitcoin crosses it you may enter and set up stop loss and take profit accordingly in case if you are not a long term investor as there is nothing like entry price for long term investors except he fact you should be entering at ATH peak value during bull run which is yet to be achieved this time. Plan it as per your requirement and what's the outcome you will be expecting like is it short term profit or long term gains and then take a call.
If we think if the price of Bitcoin rises and are able to reach $40k or go bullish, why not buy at $35k? It is just similar to buying them at $31k because we believe that it reach $35k.
People usually get wrong about investing as we think about the negative rather than thinking positive. Most of the time the suggestion is to wait for the correction but it is wrong because what if there is no correction starting today and the price keeps on climbing, it is totally a regret.
Buy low --it doesn't mean that we always have to wait for the price correction and dump before buying.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: November 07, 2023, 03:05:21 PM
Time to talk about Fury's willingness to face Usyk and what's next for Ngannou. Fury trained at McDonald's in this fight so I still doubt Ngannou can beat any of the top 20 in boxing. Derek Chisora is Ngannou's easiest fight that is also marketable but the former is most likely to win if given proper time to train and isn't paid to take a dive.

Why not go directly against popular heavyweight boxers like Joshua and Wilder, for instance? I mean, if Ngannou almost beat Fury, I'm sure he can compete well against boxers who have a lower ranking compared to Fury. However, if what you stated is true that Fury trained at McDonald's in that certain fight, then I guess Ngannou was just overrated.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: November 04, 2023, 02:42:43 PM
Maintaining your limit in gambling is a good idea, but how possible is it, Lets not forget that gambling has its sweet side and nobody knows when he or she will win or lose, just imagine when you keep winning, will you still have a particular budget to maintain, these things are not easy as we are outlining them here, if you are into gambling you will understand what am saying, it is said than done when you sit and think about gambling, you will understand that their many things involved this activity, how can chronic gambler listen to you in terms of maintaining his or her boundaries and a weekly staking budget, this is no for them, they keep gambling whether they lose or win.
It is certainly impossible if we are not serious about it. I know it was tempting but if we kept in mind the things that we should do, I guess nothing is impossible. It is just a matter of how we respond to the situation because in the case that it was hard for us to adjust and become responsible gamblers, then we never have to think about it.

 - needs dedication
 - persistence
 - needs self-control

It never happens right away but if we make it a habit when gambling, then I am sure that it become reality.
537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much money can you make by investing in Bitcoin? on: November 04, 2023, 02:24:09 PM
Yes, it is possible to believe that one can invest huge capital and profit in Bitcoin as it grows. However, Bitcoin investment can be very risky as it works mainly based on growth.  It is important to determine based on your own knowledge, situation and process. Security is very important to keep in mind before investing in Bitcoin. You can try these security tips that will help you monitor your Bitcoin, keep an eye on security and prevent. It is important to follow the usual preparations and exits when investing in Bitcoin. There may be times of gain or loss, so it is important to take care. Consider your own financial status and circumstances, and if you don't trust or have doubts about investing, it may be better not to invest a certain number or amount as soon as possible to be safe.
Investing is quite risky as we know but what I did is to forget about it and focus on my goal. I do this because I believe that the more we think about risk, the tendency that we lose confidence in our way of managing it, plus it affects our emotions. A reason why we should control our mind from not thinking about or else, that we can be one of those investors who lose their money and surrender.

We need to be smart enough, we can invest more and possibly earn more or lose more. But it doesn't matter because as long as we are able to control our emotions, the situation will give favor to us.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the last 5 years compare to now on: November 04, 2023, 01:40:10 PM
The way Bitcoin is been used by large and small companies and organizations. Do you think this will continue in the coming years?
If that is what you see and it happens now, then it is absolute that it will grow demand and its adoption.

We'd never think this thing happened because what is in our mind is full of uncertainties but we believe it now that this new technology gives us something new. As the years come by, we can expect more things like this -- and more people gain interest in investing, trading, and using this as a payment option. It is really true that the development and acceptance of the community takes years, not just a single day.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your nice hit to leave the casino. on: November 04, 2023, 01:20:43 PM
Honestly, the only thing that I hoped was to go home without losing my entire capital. That sounds too funny but yes, at least I'm leaving crypto not empty because winning is just an option for me knowing that luck always be on our side. I know we all have experienced this one, the more we stay in the casino and chase winnings, the more we get into the temptation of gambling more turning all of our money will be used. Which is why I'd just hope to get out of that thing and still have money in my pocket.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Massive rise on bitcoin price, Is this a bullish Sign or ETF hype? on: November 04, 2023, 11:21:59 AM
Over the past two weeks we all witnessed a massive spike on btc price around 10k$ pump which I never expected though I feel this could be a trap from whales in the crypto Industry. On the other Hand The market is still waiting for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to give the green light to spot bitcoin ETFs, If the SEC delays or shows red signal to this ETF then I think there could be a massive drop as the market is always run according to the fundamental situation. Guys share your thought which can be expected?
That ETF has been influencing the mindset of the people, yet it just looks like a trap. Why? It is because the price of Bitcoin will move high without ETF but this rumor regarding its approval gain hyped turn the price of Bitcoin looks bullish. However, to early to think about knowing that and even recalling the previous ATH, it's started after halving and we're not done yet. Therefore, we can give the thumbs up saying it was bullish already but instead, we make ourselves ready for the possible price corrections.
