541  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of investment on: October 27, 2023, 01:13:02 PM
Hello friends

In our modern society, the fear of being scammed by king pins and other fake platforms has made many people to loose interest in investing bitcoin.
This platform is to enlighten the society that there are real investment platforms and also people earn bitcoins for a living, so they should give it a try and invest so they can also earn and also when it comes to this particular fear I think the environment where one is actually staying also contributes to this fear because just the other I was actually explaining the basic essence of bitcoin to a friend and all he could even think of was that I want to basically scam him of his money of which he doesn’t even know that bitcoin is actually a currency on which people benefit wonderful opportunity like through savings.
Perhaps, the idea of trying is good but should be careful where we try and the platform we use. As you have mentioned, a lot of fake platforms cause losses and interest to the people which is why we just try unless we are knowledgeable enough on what we have to do. We don't like those people who invest blindly and make an investment because someone told them about this. It is not about fear why we should not invest but the reason is we are not yet totally prepared as we can't just jump on the boat not knowing where it goes and what is the thing we have to do.

But you have to give up to the 76ers as well, without Harden they almost steal this one for the home court of the Bucks. But in the last 4 minutes Dame took over the game, perfect in free throws and then his beyond the arc attempts. Not sure what they stick with Oubre guarding him though, I mean Lillard is just going around circles with Kelly and then made those 3's.
It was a good match up and yes this 76ers team deserves some credit with the way they played. I think this is a much better line up than having Harden around. Just look at how many players were in double figures. Maxey was terrific overall but not on the level of Dame yet when it comes to taking over at close games.
Maxey has consistently performed at a high level, and I can't believe why the 76ers didn't offer him a more bigger contract. This guy should be earning at least $10 million per year as a minimum, but he's only making $4 million this season.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/philadelphia-76ers/tyrese-maxey-70663/

He already average 20ppg last season, maybe at least $20 million per year. Smiley

I've heard a rumor that Ginebra has secured Tony Bishop as their import. Now, Bishop isn't new to the PBA, having played as an import for a different team previously. The big question is, can he bring a championship to the best team in the league?

What's your take on Tony Bishop? Do you think he has what it takes to lead Ginebra to a championship?

Here's the player's statisticis

https://www.proballers.com/basketball/player/11652/tony-bishop

Brownlee is a beast, that is why Ginebra is always on the Final in an import-reinforced conference and I doubt Tony Bishop could fill the big shoes that has been left by Justine Brownlee. They may be running in the playoff but reaching the finals is a slim possibility especially now that Junemar Fajardo is 100 percent healthy and his added experiences in the FIBA and Asiad stint really boost his morale and confidence.

SMB will the champion of this upcoming conference sans Justine Brownlee.

There's no doubt that JMF is a beast, but it's evident that SMB hasn't been the same since Coach Austria departed. So, I still believe that the coaching job plays a crucial role. Maybe Coach Tim will be the one to bring out the best in Tony Bishop, even more so than he was before. While SMB has a good chance, I think Ginebra has the potential to make it to the Finals again. That would surely be another crowd-pulling attraction.
544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 26, 2023, 09:57:08 PM
We must take into account that not all who try trading become successful, some have also had a terrible experience and still, they continue trading.
For me, I don't think we need to sacrifice our finances knowing that we failed in trading, I think we should also know the words stop and quit if the the situation is not really in our favor. In fact, it was not a big deal if we failed and thought that some people would laugh at us but it was a big issue when we lost a lot of money and committed debt.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 26, 2023, 03:33:03 PM

Luka was efficient so do Kyrie and Lively, and those steals they made on the last seconds really make a difference to take that lead. I think both of these rookies has the potentials to improve and what an NBA debut they have had, it's totally a great match and feels like a playoffs category type of a match.

Luka is back in his usual form, notching a triple-double in the game, much like his buddy Jokic, who's also started the season with the same impressive production. It's great to see them performing at their best.

Irving is playing well too, and this time around, it seems there are no chemistry issues. They've likely worked out those problems after the disappointing outcome of last season.

But when you take a look at the Spurs' roster, it's nice to see how well they're sharing the ball. They're maintaining a high field goal percentage at 52%, and an impressive 7 players are scoring in double digits. That's some impressive teamwork.  Smiley
546  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First bull run - how to not sell too early? on: October 25, 2023, 10:18:01 PM
Even after the good few days recently my portfolio is still down 17% overall and at the worst I think it was 50% down so just getting back to break even will feel big for me but need to remember I am in this to do a lot better then break even.

What is your real purpose in holding assets when your target is just to break even? Are you too afraid when you can't see your investment making a profit? all you need is patience and don't be tempted by the break-even target. Make a profit target, even if it's not big. but try to be consistent with your target.
If you give up just returning your capital, it means there is no point in putting your money in your investment assets. you just waste your time to put your money to sleep without progress.

I did not say my target is break even. My target is to at least 10x my portfolio.

I said getting back to break even will feel big for me as i have spent all of my crypto journey up till now at a loss.
Then the best thing to do is to hold and wait for the moment it comes (bull run). You can never make an early sell, if you know your target and know that you are aiming for at least 10x from your investment capital, then must calculate it now. But the question is if you are buying potential coins because that is certainly achievable but if you are buying those in hype and shitcoins, you will just fail.
That is why investing should be planned very well at first - choosing coins and terms of investments.
547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of emotion while trading on: October 25, 2023, 09:44:18 PM
I would say, just do away with emotions when trading, trade with your head and not your heart, for we know the heart to be so tender and easily attached, the head is the dwelling place of the brain, which enables us to think, calculate and take important actions at the time that is right.

Trading with emotions may destroy the trader, it is the same thing as gambling, gambling with emption often times lead to nothing but more loses, the market is never merciful to any trader, it doesn't care how much you have lost and how emotional that have made you become, if you keep on doing the same thing, when the market demand that you do something to profit, you will keep losing trades as well as your money.
Emotions dealing is a very important thing that we need to practice as a trader. Most of us or if not, the majority has been in trouble doing this that is why hundred or thousands of traders end up losing their capital and quitting because they just let their emotions controls them. We should have practiced being like a robot, with no feelings and no emotions just to meet the requirements of trading. Emotions really have a huge impact on our decision-making and are one main reason why we fail to achieve our goals despite the thing that we are knowledgable.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just like visiting a cinema on: October 25, 2023, 08:26:35 AM
True that! We can't argue that gambling isn't for entertainment, but mainly for typical gamblers. There are, however, advanced gamblers who see it as an opportunity to consistently make money. Let's not dwell on that too much, as I'm sure only a few can relate.

So, yes, gambling is entertainment, and we should just enjoy it. When we go to a cinema, we spend money to get entertained, and it's the same with gambling. Because if you spend more than you can afford to lose, you're no longer getting entertainment; you've driven yourself into the dark hole of problems.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 25, 2023, 07:12:44 AM
When I thought GSW had a promising third quarter, I thought they'd have no problems closing it out, but the Suns immediately went on a run to take back the lead during the fourth quarter.

That 3rd quarter run was seriously impressive, but let's be real, the Warriors could've won this one. If Kuminga hadn't missed those 2 free throws, they'd have been feeling confident to close out the game. But man, CP3 had a rough night, going 4-15 on his shots. He took some crucial shots in the clutch moments, but they just didn't fall. I think he should stick to playmaking, especially when his shooting percentage has taken a dive. Leave the clutch shooting to Curry!
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why meme coins are trending? on: October 24, 2023, 09:49:07 PM

Meme tokens started as funny internet stuff, but they are turning into serious business with real communities behind them. $Opium, with its cool idea and excited supporters, seems like it's going to be a standout meme token. It's more than just a joke; it's a movement.
It is only a trend and some sort of promise but none of these meme coins shows an interesting artwork that would help the crypto community grow aside from Dogecoin. Just look what happened to Shiba Inu, Pepe coin, and many other meme coins, after the hyped they're been declining which means that people are not holding long their coins instead, they sell them and never turn back. None of them has a serious business, they are just wanting to take advantage of the situation while meme coins are too popular this time.
551  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Something dangerous we do when using Binance P2P platform on: October 24, 2023, 02:05:46 PM
Lesson; we should not rush to place our order but rather take time to read and review to avoid missing the warning. Though I haven't experienced this yet but probably someday.

Usually, I check these things - rate, number of trades, status of the buyer (online/offline). I send a message after placing the order and waiting for their reply, if none, then the last option is to wait time is over and the transaction is canceled. I refrain from sending any alternative payment option nor sending my number. The platform is just a tool and it was not the problem but the seller/buyer itself that is why we should take extra caution. In fact, there is a warning to read...and we don't have to skip them.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 24, 2023, 06:04:51 AM
     -      Mar Fajardo is a really humble person. I can't say anything to him; he's like Fingris; he's just quiet, but his offense is strong, and he also has shooting. He also contributes a lot to his team, to be honest. The last time I watched was when they defeated China in their previous match.

As soon as coach Cone became their coach, they immediately got gold, which means that our good players were really given a chance to play. Unlike the previous coach who handled them, I don't want to mention his name.

Junemar Fajardo has also some weaknesses just like the other players specifically on his defense, defending the pick and roll is a nightmare for Junemar but fortunately, the brilliance of coach Tim Cone offset that weakness by adjusting or pulling him out if badly needed just like what we saw in the last minutes in the China vs Gilas game, if Fajardo wasn't pulled out, we might lose that one so kudos to coach Tim for that one.

That's the big difference between coach Chot and coach Tim, I used to remember the name of Gomez, Ramas and those other supporting cast of Alaska's 90s dynasty, it's not just the main 5 but all those role players who played for them and fill all the gap whenever coach Tim give them a chance to play.

That's the same scenario and system that we witness with how he rotate his players during the gilas run, you said it right if JMF continue to play during that last few minutes against China it might be getting the same result as JMF is not good in rotating with the defense, more on offensive use.

Coach Tim notice that and give that spot to a much younger big man and let JBL to takeover of their defense.

China tried to exploit JMF's defense, but Coach Tim Cone saw it coming and made some smart adjustments. It's seriously impressive that, despite facing tall and youthful opponents like China, Gilas made them sweat in the 4th quarter. Defense was the key, and Coach Tim's in-game adjustments were nothing short of commendable.

Now, basketball fans are thrilled, and the criticism seems to have faded away. In the future, even if Tim Cone faces coaching challenges, I don't think people will be quick to criticize. He's earned some well-deserved respect.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thurman Vs Stanionis WBA world welterweight December 9 on: October 24, 2023, 05:22:50 AM
^^ Wow, so Danny Garcia also moved up in weight already and now going to fight Lara? Going to be very close as Danny has a great left hook and very sound fundamentally. But I'm surprised how Lara is still in this game, lol, no offense to him but I thought that he has retired already. But during his prime, he fought Canelo Alvarez and there are analyst who says that Lara schooled Canelo that time.

So with that, I think I will go with Garcia, he is still fresh, but Lara might give him a hard fight early as he is a southpaw and has great foot work. But in the middle rounds, I'm seeing Lara getting tired from all the movements and Garcia going to catch up with him in spurts and maybe hit him with his signature left hook knocking down Lara.

It's like a double treat for the fans. Danny Garcia vs. Lara could easily headline a card on its own, but let's pass the spotlight to Thurman and his pal. We'll find out if this young champion has what it takes to shine in the division for long period. If Thurman faces a loss, it might just hush him up for good. So, he better put in the work, not underestimate his young opponent, and maybe keep the trash talk to a minimum to avoid any bad luck.
554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there any safe ways out there to get 10-15 % ANY return rate ? on: October 21, 2023, 02:21:06 PM
is there any safe ways out there to get 10-15 % ANY return rate ?

as far as banks i noticed maximum 5 %

crypto exchanges upto 15 %   - but are they safe to put money there ? like nexo , kucoin ?
If you are asking for 10-15% returns that seems possible but if you are asking for safety assurance, you only just fail. Because the truth is that when it comes to crypto investment, nothing has been safe. We might earn this month for this amount XXX but we can't assure that we can still earn the same in the next month. And this is because we are not controlling the market like in the situation where there is a pump this month and then followed by a correction, we can't really expect good profit but possibly losses.

And much more if you put your investment into exchanges. You are risking too much.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7 ways to earn free cryptocurrency on: October 21, 2023, 01:09:53 PM
We usually think about free is totally free like just an airdrop. But actually, all of those things are not totally free. It is only a reward for completing a simple task. I don't think it is really encouraging but for those who did nothing, why not try?

I could say that this is a good way to start earning in crypto for newcomers but just to remind them also that be sure that they are visiting the right/legit site otherwise, they are just wasting their time. And aside from that, we must not expect huge rewards.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 21, 2023, 12:22:33 PM
6000 thousand dollars in the next 25 years is a high reward, especially for people who live in developing countries like the Philippines, it is quite a lot of money because with this money she can buy a house and support her family without having to bother working. That was pretty good luck for her and I wasn't sure enough that I could get that kind of luck.
Anywhere in the world, $6,000 per month which is $72,000 per year, is a high pay. For instance, the annual salary for a graduate in the US is around $53,000. I know the tax in the Philippines is far lower than that in the US so this is surely a life changing win for her. Besides, she does not need to work ever again. This is what is possible with gambling; big win with small money. It is not actually easy but the prize is enough motivation to give it a short.
As so people are chasing their luck in gambling because they think they become rich by just spending $100. Winning millions is a life-changing indeed but I heard a lot of people who won the jackpot prize but too unfortunate that it never stayed long in their hands and they got back to poor again because of money mismanagement. That is why we don't have to think of not working anymore and living in luxurious life after winning but rather plan for investment in order to keep money flowing in, not just flowing out without any return as in the end, it all dried up and become empty again.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 21, 2023, 09:04:16 AM
The Australian Government once said about abolishing gambling ads as a means of reducing gambling activities amongst underage people. But, I think they'll be no successful way of stopping young people from gambling.
No way to expect to stop these kids from learning gambling because some of them as been with their parents already and seen them gambling. Maybe we could there is a reduction but generally, it was not an effective way to avoid kids getting involved in gambling. We can't just them the truth that gambling already exists and with some of their games it seems to be they already gambling.

Whether we like it or not, the trend seems to be going where more young minds get into gambling. Online games are rampant nowadays, to hard for the government to track and stop them all. In fact, even social media influencers already promoting gambling sites.
558  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Security Should Be Your First Target as a Newbie on: October 21, 2023, 06:37:43 AM
Security is not a hard thing to do but what we did is we ruin it and let someone hack our keys due to the wrong practice of safekeeping. We usually think that by having those things that you have mentioned OP, we are totally safe which is not as we are still prone to these smart hackers. Honestly, we are all subject to that scenario as we are working online. But there is a way to avoid this (at least) and that is not to click and visit sites that are not known to us or something to say, unsolicited links that redirect us to account login.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 20, 2023, 09:51:25 PM
It’s the classic dilemma of the gambling world. Personally, I believe it all boils down to self-control and knowing your limitsw. I prefer to do both like do it in half. I mean it’s preferable to continue playing from my winnings, right? I think theres a thrill in the possibility of even greater winnings after a large win. It's not just about the money, it's about the excitement and the hope for an even more bigger prize. But its still essential to approach this with caution and set clear limits. Responsible gambling means knowing when to walk away and not letting the pursuit of more winnings overshadow the joy of the initial winning. It's a delicate balance between enjoying the moment and being mindful of the risks involved. After all, the key is to have fun while staying with what you can afford to lose.

What is a big deal in making a decision to either continue or cash out, it's not a dilemma stage at all because a gambler will not waste time in thinking on what to do in this kind of situation, if we think we can afford the risk to continue gambling because we already have that greedy enough, we may continue till everything got exhausted, if we are the considerate kind of gambler, we may quit for some other day.
Whether they cash out or keep their winnings on the platform, they are probably sure what they are doing. But for me, I withdraw some just to save my capital. Perhaps, responsible gambler knows what is best for them and when it comes to money, they are certain about it unless they are heavily addicted to gambling where they never know anything but to keep playing while they still have money. For at least, withdrawing some of our winnings could help us not to lose too much.
560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading on: October 20, 2023, 09:11:27 PM

Profits is something that in result with the good analysis that you have been making and on having that little bit mix of luck when we do speak about success yet even if we arent dealing with gambling but since this market is really that unpredictable then it would really be that so normal  that we would really be needing up that kind of approach or anticipations about random results because  there are factors which could really affect out market movement and this would really be resulting on messing up on the analysis that you had made out earlier. Trading is really not an easy path that someone could easily take on which it would really be needing that non stop learning and adaptability towards market volatility and random aspect or behavior, because if you dont have that kind of treatment or approach then for sure you would really be having a hard time on handling yourself towards this market or simply you cant really just that be able to make yourself that sustainable or could be able to succeed this type of career.
That is the case why we should not underestimate trading and the market which means that we have to enhance our level of understanding and skill just to fit with it. While we know that trading is not easy, therefore, we have to improve our knowledge as well because this is the only to help us succeed. So if we think we can't do it and still feel that we are hopeless and even too emotional, I don't think we need to force ourselves either. Otherwise, we are not trading but making it like gambling where we just rely on luck not strategies.
