361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Maybe future trade is gambling on: January 04, 2024, 01:53:32 PM
-snip-

Now my question is futures trade is actually gambling? Or how did he lose all his dollars?
For me it's not. There are many types of trading with different patterns and technicalities.
Gambling is not trading and trading is not gambling. That's what I think.
Buy at low prices and sell when prices rise. Trading is about how strong you are in trying to make a profit with the strategy you choose to use.

Those who thought that trading was gambling were those people who never knew what trading was all about.
In fact, there is no fortune in gambling but trading does if we want. As OP said MAYBE, it means that it was not certain yet and we can change that view if we personally know what it trading, not just knowing it from other people or these influencers. I'm not sure but I thought that OP is pointing out about LUCK and this will happen for the traders who lack of knowledge and they just rely on luck to make a profit. In this case, I'm not going to wonder if that trader considers himself into gambling because he is not actually trading with knowledge and skill but purely relying on luck.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: January 04, 2024, 12:35:36 PM
I do not really know Buakaw but since they are fighting with boxing rules the victory should be for Pacquiao, still it will be interesting to see how his boxing skills are holding up, as father time is unforgiving and it is possible there could have been a significant decrease on his abilities, however for those that love Pacquiao and everything that he represents this is a fight they cannot really afford to miss, since we do not know if this could be his last fight.
You have to check Buakaw's highlights and judge if Buakaw is an easy fight, he is not a legendary Muay Thai boxer for nothing he is ruthless in the ring and Muay Thai is very similar to boxing minus the low kick, Pacquiao will have an advantage on speed and skill but I believe when it comes to power they are equal Buakaw has over 300 fights, this is indeed a very busy fight for Pacquiao this year he has another fight coming after against Buakaw but he must show a good performance against Buakaw for the Mayweather fight becomes attractive, same with Mayweather against Gotti.

Boom! The Deadliest Knockout Machine EVER - Buakaw Banchamek

My boy Pacman has fought a lot of knockout artists, but it was his quickness that helped him win. So, I don't think Buakaw will beat Pacman because if Pacman still possesses that quickness, he could tire Buakaw out, possibly leading to an early knockout. While Buakaw is very dangerous in kickboxing, and one might think it's somewhat similar to boxing, the dynamics are different.

Maybe this will end up like Fury vs. Francis Ngannou, where Fury still won despite a close fight and getting knocked down once.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 04, 2024, 11:51:49 AM

Lakers loss again. This team sucks!

The Lakers continue to play poorly. Although in LA Lakers there are many star players with super salaries and contract values every season.
1. lebron james 47 million dollars
2 anthony davis 40.6 million dollars
3. D angelo russel 17.6 million dollars
4. rui hachimura Japanese basketball player with a salary of 15.8 million dollars
5 austin revers 12 million dollars
and more

It doesn't guarantee that a team will play better because their players have received a huge contract. Lakers is just one of the teams that has its players with huge contract. We are seeing the players now but before it was the Warriors who also struggled and some of their players have huge salary this year.

Curry $51 million +
Thompson $43 million +
Chris Paul $30 million +
Wiggins $24 million +
Green $22 million +

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/golden-state-warriors/cap/

Warriors even paid more than the Lakers paid for their players.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a new trend of Altcoin Bull run? on: January 03, 2024, 09:42:03 PM
It is not possible to say exactly what this indicates, but one should be prepared for anything. But generally, when the price of Bitcoin increases, the price of altcoin also increases.  Because there are many altcoins that require Bitcoin to buy and convert to BTC to sell.  When the price of that coin increases, it is converted into that coin and sold.  For this, the price of both may increase together.
Indeed, the entire market is reliant on Bitcoin. With the current situation of the market, we can already say that it was on the bullish side. As we can see, some altcoins had already pumping which I believe that was an impact on the growth of Bitcoin price. As halving is expected to arrive a few days from now, the more we are expecting price rallies on Bitcoin which also drives the price of many altcoins to pump. Such a domino effect wasn't new to us, especially old-timers.
365  Economy / Speculation / Re: 112 days waiting for bitcoin halving!! on: January 03, 2024, 09:14:25 PM
I am excited for it to come, we've got side by side updates that everyone is expecting to help the market to get pushed like with the ETF. As we can see today, a single negative news brought the market a flash crash and that's how they're going to do so that they can buy the cheaper bitcoins and the ones that has been sold due to panicking. Don't be like that, keep holding and wait until the halving is done and maybe after a few months we'll see the sign of the bull run but typically, it goes for several months up to a year before it actually happens.
PS: 109 days left for halving.
Halving is more exciting than having an ETF approval, that is what I see and I'm looking forward to seeing the price of Bitcoin reach $50k.
And I've been looking forward to people still holding their coins and avoiding panic selling. Even just this time, I already consider the price of Bitcoin is bullish already, and I was expecting it to move higher after the halving event. As it happened in the previous halving, that gives us confidence that it also be the same scenario. Well, just to hope that everyone could wait for the right time to sell so we all will be happy.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 03, 2024, 01:03:24 PM
It make sense that they don't need to force Lonzo Ball to come back, it might be better if they prolong it till next season so that he will completely heal 100% and so there is a high chance that it will no re-occur.
They need to take care of him as they invested on Lonzo Ball a lot.
His contract is $80,000,000 for 4 years, they could still trade him if he doesn't anymore fit with the team.
Ball and Lavine will be gone, it will be a different Bulls lead by DeRozan, but this guy is also getting bigger, so I would not be surprise if they'll rebuild.

But it's just a question on whether he can get back to his old self or not.
Big question and my answer is 50/50. He is out of a while, so for sure it's a serious injury that needed an surgery.
Klay wasn't the same when he came back after missing a season.

For the Warriors, they already built a dynasty, but we all know that sooner or later this dynasties, like the Spurs and the Lakers before them, they will not last, core team disbanded. So for this season, I'm not seeing them making the playoffs unless they make a great trade next year.

You mean the Warriors? I would say 50/50 also, because they are still a good team and they are good during the playoffs.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Must you lose before you gain in Bitcoin investment? on: January 02, 2024, 01:53:35 PM
We have no control of the market, we can lose and also gain but it have to be different days, there's no day that passes by without traders making gains and also complaining about making losses in the system. There's no infinite or smooth path of generating quite significant amount of the system, just play safe and everything will run out smoothly. Losing is part of the game, we lose for us to gain, it's simple abstract and we should be ready to face whatever outcome experience. Bitcoin investment is risky and I've witnessed so many losses infront of my very own naked eyes.
But losing on the first try is a disaster for me. In fact, it shouldn't have happened to anyone if we invest our knowledge first before investing but unfortunately, many people think that crypto investment is easy and so they ignore the consequences. Of course, losing is a part of the game but doesn't mean that we just let it happen, we can do something to avoid it unless we don't do anything to help.

The simplest way to avoid losses is to buy low, hold, and sell high. That is basic as we know but the problem is sometimes we have been influenced by our emotions and that causes losses.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting to Public Wifi on: January 02, 2024, 12:52:44 PM
This should not be a problem for anyone because a casino player can easily connect to the Internet in a public place or any public place, but what interests him is that he can participate and deposit, and what the person does From then on it depends on what you do to win, but a casino who is willing to see that there are many connections from a public site should not be alarmed, he should feel good that people come into his casino to make deposits and play , not There should be problems, that's like having an exchange open and having someone open their exchange from the same connection, there's nothing to do there, there's nothing bad.

What I see is that there is a lot of fear on the part of the Peruvians to operate in caisno of that way, at the end of the day if a caisno gets into those things of prohibiting person from using those same public IPs then what They will be left without clients, if they ban my Account for connecting to a public site , I will never return to that casino again in my Life.

Is this some kind of AI text? Your post doesn’t make sense and not even relevant to the discussion because you are pertaining to a public place not the public wifi which is the main issue here for multi account violation.

What the hell does Peruvian even related to this topic? You should stop using this kind of tools or else you might get kick out to your campaign.

He state that using casino not allowing gamblers to use public wifi my result to losing clients. LOL.

How would even casino know if you are using a public wifi or a private one when only IP and device are just being logged on their website.

And about your question;

I did a quick research on the meaning of Peruvian ;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peruvians
Quote
Peruvians (Spanish: peruanos/peruanas) are the citizens of Peru. What is now Peru has been inhabited for several millennia by cultures such as the Caral before the Spanish conquest in the 16th century.

still I don't get the meaning and it's connection to the topic.  Tongue
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 02, 2024, 12:04:40 PM
Speaking of Junemar Fajardo, good news to SMB fans here as he will be back on January 12 on their game against Blackwater, so more likely they will be having a twice-to-beat advantage going into the semis.

Indeed it's a good news. I hope he has fully recovered from injury so we can see the same JMF before the injury happened.

They really need him because elimination game or a best of 3 game is different from the regular season game, so it's good for SMB. Now I can say that they have a legit chance of winning a championship.

Anyways, PBA will be resuming this friday with the following games.

First game Bossing vs Northport
2nd game Rain or shine vs TNT

Game starts at 4;00 PM
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich, average or poor. Who loses more? on: December 30, 2023, 02:56:01 PM
This is not about rich or poor. And this only shows more that the rich are likely to lose more.

That is most likely to happen. Those who spend more money are also those who lose more.
That is quite understandable that it points out to rich people. But it doesn't matter to them because they don't after winning, they just want to be happy spending their money. And it was a different story to poor and average people, they were seemingly looking for hope and luck to win the jackpot prize and become rich. And they feel mad when losing, unlike rich people who are still okay with it, they have plenty of money to lose.

But we have nothing to argue with because we all gamblers suffered more losses rather than winning, only the house benefits a lot.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: December 30, 2023, 01:55:45 PM

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.
As one of the bounty hunters before, this is really the thing that happens after the release of rewards, drops are very fatal and if we can't sell our tokens fast, you'll be selling for almost no value. That is the reason why I'd never have the guts to hold them waiting for hype unless I have no chance of selling them because no matter how long we've been waiting that seems hopeless to see their price increasing.

In fact, there are a few tokens left on my ETH wallet with and $0 value, we can do nothing with them other than hoping for a miracle.
So OP, better sells them while they still have value, it can be soon to die.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: December 30, 2023, 12:53:55 PM
Im ignore the other think you mentioned. I'm saying about gambling and treading. You said that gambling is bad yes it's bad gambling and treading crate financial disaster if you are not experienced. Many just take some knowledge about it and get in to it. That little knowledge is harmful for that people lost their economy. For that people conect with illigali activity to recover their money if they are addected the play more and lost more. So found that is you made for it or not.
It all depends on how we treat gambling and trading. If we can have the things necessary for gambling, we will not experience bad things in gambling, and instead, we can get the pleasure we are looking for. We will also not have difficulty stopping gambling because we have set a limit on how long we can gamble and when we almost reach the limit, we will stop gambling and will not look back to gamble again. And it will all help if we learn these things and try to develop them for our benefit so that we will be fine. But people don't want to learn these things so they fall into gambling without realizing that they have gone too far in gambling.
Well, everything is bad when treated in the wrong and I couldn't blame OP for saying that because it is probably he has a bad experience with gambling. But he should not say EVERYONE because not all are doing the same with him.

Anyway, we can't please people to see the benefits of gambling, many think it is bad and harmful to us (mentally and financially matter). But for the reason that I gamble just for fun and is able to relieve my stress, I keep doing this. It just needs self-control and it is all okay. Of course, we don't expect to win big but at least we are enjoying our time gambling.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: December 30, 2023, 11:51:20 AM
Can't believe it's real and legit. Cheesy These legends know how to take advantage of their names even after retirement. Technically speaking, Pacquiao still has the shape like he's not a retired boxer. Even if we put Pacquiao in an official fight the same within his comfort weight class, he can still probably defeat other boxers within that division.

Does anyone here betting on an exhibition match? They are just for entertainment right? Where's the thrill of betting there?

Yeah, basically that it, if Floyd and other retired boxer and MMA fighters can fight after retirement, then this two is not a exception. They are legend, both are still in their best shape of their lives despite out of their sports for many years.

This is exhibition matches, but I do not think that it will be a setup like other fight. Even in Manny's last fight, he really took it seriously to train. So maybe there will be odds out there and gamblers are still going to bet on it as it involves two legend in their own rights.

Manny's biggest paycheck in exhibition fight is just waiting for him, these two possible fights of Manny would bring him at least more than $100 million, just my wild guess though.

Pacman vs McGregor then afterwards, Pacman vs Mayweather 2.

I don't know what fights that are line up for him next year but hopefully at least one of these two possible big fight will happen.
374  Other / Off-topic / Re: Simple advice, don't get carried away by people success stories. on: December 30, 2023, 10:28:40 AM
Most influencers who like to advertise cryptocurrencies cannot be trusted. But maybe not all influencers who like to advertise cryptocurrency are like that. For this reason, don't focus on advertisements or other people's achievements. Because it could be that all these achievements are just lies, or that these achievements were really achieved by these influencers. In fact, it is not easy for us to imitate it. So basically we have to think more about reality rather than fantasizing too far. And the most important thing is to keep working hard and never give up.
That's a game of life now and greedy individuals easily hooked up with those encouraging and motivating stories but behind those success stories, lies are what we see.
 - many people show others wealth and claim is theirs
 - many people take a picture of other people's cars and say the fruit of their sacrifice and hard work

Scams are everywhere and they will take every possible way to gain attention and get victims. Influencers are great at such techniques which is why they are called influencers but sometimes we have to choose which one we follow and which one we ignore.

375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 30, 2023, 03:07:37 AM
Well, that matters in the situation.
If feel lucky that day, I could spend more time, 3-4 hours. But if I just lose my bet 3 consecutive times, I stop.
As a gambler, it was not important how long we had to stay on the casino but what mattered the most was that we never broke our limits. But I'd never say it was good to spend a long time gambling because that is also one reason why instead we are winning, we end up losing our entire money. Luck never stays long, so never wait we empty our pockets before going home or taking a break.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SOL LONG TERM HOLDERS COULD BE IN DANGER!! on: December 29, 2023, 09:58:54 PM
SOL has been controversial at times but it works. SOL ecosystem is rapidly growing with every new dapps emerging on the platform. Though I sold my sol early, the people that held it are now in good profit. And it is the right time to sell as there could be a correction.
The whole market works more on speculation than utility and in case of Solana, there's even some utility. Usless meme coins with heavily premined or a largely developer held token reaches spectacular prices in matter of days, on a comparison, Solana is more transparent and useful.
Indeed, this project is growing at this time and holders make a profit already (if they sell) but we can't take away the possibility that its price may fall in the future. I invested in Solana last year but I sold them because I don't have the confidence to hold them longer.

Well, it is better compared to meme coins but I hope the news won't significantly affect its price now, or else, this will be a reason why holders are selling off their coins before the Bull season. It doesn't matter if the price goes high these days but we are talking about the future which is still uncertain. You will need to remember what happened to Luna, it can be possible to Solana as well.
377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 29, 2023, 09:34:35 PM
Most trader expecially newbies think crypto is a get rich quick scheme, and they feel very excited and motivated to enter the market more believing that it's going to make them rich by over trading, they don't know that quality beats quantity every day.

Yes, many newcomers get into cryptocurrency with the mindset of getting rich in a short period of time. They don’t think of getting a deep understanding of the market, including the risks and how to manage them. It's very important for everybody getting into the business to understand the market before they start what brings them here, whether trading or investment, but they have risks, and those risks must be known for someone to be a successful trader or investor.

Okay, trading is not for everyone, that was the fact. Those who think they could many in a short period will never gonna make it, they will just lose their money. Based on my experience, impatience doesn't fit this job and that is who I was before I realized that it should never be like that si I change my behavior and market approach. It is very important that we are clear on our goal and sometimes we listen to the advice of these successful traders but other than that, it all be our actions and market response. If we fail, it means there is something wrong with us and that is what we have to correct or else, quit trading.
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 29, 2023, 03:34:47 PM

There have been a lot of talks of him and Nery fighting. And then Akhmadaliev winning a week ago makes him another candidate or mandatory for Inoue's belt.
Inoue could fight these two but he can never skip Casimero.

It's okay if he'll fight Casimero last, as long as the fight will happen. He was interviewed, and it came from his mouth that he is interested with Casimero also, aside from the two boxers that was mentioned.

And then the trash talking another Filipino in Casimero, they already have supposedly scheduled fight, Casimero just needed to defend his belt against Butler. But the rest is history. However, as you have said, this two are destined to face each here at 122 lbs.

Forget about his trash talking, there's nothing to be serious with that, it's his brand in boxing and he just have to live with that. I don't like to hear from Casimero that he don't want to fight Casimero because he is disrespectful, or talk trash a lot because that's certainly just an excuse.

All the boxers that Inoue had defeated is not on Casimero's level because the opponents of Casimero that he beat are very quality fighters.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 29, 2023, 02:34:01 PM
Let's see how it goes, line is Detroit to win 2.95.

I'm confuse, this is for what particular game?

I belive the next game for Detroit will be this December 31 against Toronto. I'm sure they are still the heavy favorite on that game, as usual.
Haven't check the betting odds yet but I saw it on their schedule https://ph.global.nba.com/teams/schedule/pistons/
380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 29, 2023, 11:56:39 AM
Knowing how to trade would only get you that far, but not j to the realm of successful traders. It takes a whole lot of desire to win, persistence and consistency to be a successful trader. So I assure that anyone who wants to be a successful trader can be by pursuing with passion.
I agree with you. Just because a person know how to trade doesn't mean he is profitable. There are lot of traders out there who can't manage to be profitable even though they spent a lot of time to trading. There are people who had been in trading for 5 years but still losing, but there are also 1 year but already profitable. Being successful is not about how long you have been in trading, instead it's how disciplined and serious you are in trading.
These are the reasons why;
 - emotional (that includes market response)
 - mindset ( they easily turn negative when suffering losses)
 - analytic skills ( lack of experience)
 - time and focus

All of these things affect our trading journey, nobody seems to be perfect but it doesn't mean that we have to let things happen if we know we can do it right. If these successful traders spend more time analyzing the market, why we should not if this is a helping tool to succeed? Unfortunately, most of us want instantly and so losing is so instant as well - impatient traders never succeed.
