881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 15, 2023, 12:05:10 PM

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.
To avoid any issues, better do it betting and do gamble alone. Because many gamblers come to temptation when they have money on their hands, he will spend it without telling anyone and if he wins, he will take it alone. And this action will lead to misunderstanding and confrontation which results in a fight or something we really don't want (being killed).

I'd never experience like this and don't want as I preferred to gamble alone and never shared the money with anyone because if ever I lose, I only blame myself.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: July 15, 2023, 11:29:55 AM
I completely agree with your perspective. It's important to approach it with respect and consideration for others interests. Forcing someone to learn about Bitcoin goes against the principles of individual choice and curiosity. Rather, educating people about both the benefit and risk of Bitcoin is essential to provide a substantial understanding and manage expectations. Leading by example through personal investment experiences can be influential, but it's important to recognize that each person's financial situation and risk tolerance are unique. Finding a balance between theory and practical knowledge is key to effectively promote Bitcoin awareness and facilitate good decision making.
Because the most effective way to promote crypto and teach people is if they have interest and yes, if they are capable enough to invest. Maybe I was bad but approaching poor people and convincing them to invest will probably result in rejections. Bitcoin is not for everybody and no matter what we do, it was hard to convince close-minded people as they believe what is in their mind (of course, negative). We also have to know how to read minds and have their time to develop and have a reason to invest and make this their choice.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: July 15, 2023, 10:05:05 AM
Is it possible for a casino to go bankrupt because a player gets a very big win?
Things like this are likely to happen to a new casino that’s just trying to establish, that’s why sometimes all those new casino those not always survive, sometimes some new casinos will end up holding down their customers money with any reason for that, maybe those casinos are just trying to grow and they don’t have enough reserve, so if their customer win big amounts of money it’s really going to affect them, which can make them even go bankrupt, but am sure a already established casinos will not really go bankrupt because of their customers win, they will have enough money in reserve to cover for all those things.
It was not because many gamblers wins but it is due to mismanagement. Casinos are truly winning, if we hear that gamblers are cheating, casinos do more as well. As you can imagine, thousands of gamblers come every day and use their platform but of these numbers, only a few go back home and have wins while the majority lose and emptied their pocket. That is why the number of casinos is growing because it was earning and if managed properly, no way they'll go bankruptcy, instead we see them growing.
884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading and gambling on: July 15, 2023, 06:14:58 AM
Well, I guess OP had already an idea of what is Gambling and how it differs from Trading, and I assumed that he finds already the answer.
That is why it is very important to know what we are doing ( unless we don't) because whatever happens after, we can't complain that we are unlucky. Even in gambling, not all the time we rely on luck especially when it talks about sports betting, we indeed have the knowledge as well. And much more on trading which is totally necessary as it was not our luck but it was because we did something right.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: July 14, 2023, 07:54:03 PM

I personally feel it has changed most of us in our life, In terms of technology and development we every one know the way we are heading towards web3, metaverse, defi are remarkable. All credits to development of bitcoin Smiley I am earning this from as well, I never thought I would make much descent money in this sector. share your success as well thankyou Cheesy
Some got decent profits but some also got a worse experience.
However, when it comes to development and earning opportunities, we believe that crypto does well but what just we need is to be more cautious when choosing the projects to invest in because not all are worth investing in, many were just a scam. But for now, I won't say that we are already achieving the goal yet from being considered as another payment option but with the growing adaptation, we can really be taking it there and that's the time we can say - it was successful.
886  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell...next bull run? on: July 14, 2023, 07:35:46 PM
Nice contributions from you all,and I am happy to read your plans on when to sell your bitcoin. This shows that so many of us are into the making profit lane from bitcoin in the next bull run. Only few members said they wouldn't sell but hodli till the next two bull runs. I was also thinking that hodli and not selling even after this next bull run will be the best but we all have our mindset and goals on our bitcoin journey. From what I understand, I believe that one can sell as long as you have made profit irrespective of the price but with patient, one can make more profit by selling at ATH. I hope that the price of bitcoin will hit $120k next ATH,because the price of bitcoin is now 31k+.
Yeah, holding will depend on us and selling is also an option and when we are doing this doesn't really matter as long as we earn. It was very important that we know what we are doing and most of all, we also have to know to analyze the market movement and progress as this is our basis for whether we have to hold or sell them. As long as we are investing and holding potential coins like Bitcoins and Ethereum, there is no worry of holding them for many years as we are confident enough that they will continue to grow and make the reach of another ATH.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 14, 2023, 03:28:01 PM
On this fight, I have the same thoughts as with you. As I have said, I'm seeing Fulton as trying to get very tough and will want to proved that this is his division. He might run though and will used his boxing IQ and try not to fight toe to toe in the beginning. That Figueroa shows that Fulton too has heart and will not go down easily so let's see if he can do that and last the distance against Inoue here. Yes, lots of fights this July so it's really hard where and who to bet to, maybe a good parlay will do as well.

If Fulton have the reach advantage then it would be the smart move to strike from the distance avoiding face to face confrontation because we all know that Inoue is a devastating boxer especially when he get his opponent in his range.  The body punch maybe the huge factor here so if Fulton can withstand these body punches then there is a huge possibility that he maybe able to outmaneuver and outbox Inoue.

As per their record,

Fulton's reach - 70½″ / 179cm
Inoue's reach - 67½″ / 171cm

And Fulton is taller by 1 in. So he has the advantage as far as their physical is concern. But we all know that Inoue has the advantage of his power. So Fulton will have to play smart that's why I'm seeing that he might used his boxing IQ and keeping Inoue at bay with his stiff jab as he has the reach here.

Fulton can also go to a brawling match, again based on his fight against Figueroa but it will be a bad idea for him.

Forget about that reach advantage as Inoue has already fought taller boxers before. In fact, he KO'd Donaire in his last fight and the latter was tall and even quick but Inoue showed his dominance. So Fulton is no difference IMO, although he is the champion and Inoue should respect that, but as a fan and judging who had the advantage, I'd say overall it's on Inoue.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 14, 2023, 02:44:45 PM

Phoenix ML @2.78 vs NorthPort
Phoenix +4.5 @1.95 vs NorthPort

^^ My bet for the second game, hoping that i can recover my first game lose.

Unfortunately it didn't hit because Northport were able to dominate Phoenix by beating them in a 19 points margin. I was also thinking that the game should be close, but it turns out it has become a one sided game. Anyway, that's normal in gambling, you win some and you lose some.

By the way, it seems like no one is talking about Kai Sotto's performance in his first game in the summer league, he was given good minutes to showcase his skills and AFAIR, he had like 6 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in just 13 minutes of playing time.
889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multiple timeframes is another means of getting better market clarity on: July 13, 2023, 10:28:00 PM
In my opinion, daily trading is more inclined to small time frames, and larger time frames are used as a reference for analyzing longer markets. I usually watch the trend from the larger time frame and place transactions on the smaller time frame. the smaller the time frame used, the more support and resistance areas will be visible, and we can use it to trade with faster market reactions in the visible support and resistance areas. if we analyze on a large time frame, the price reaction will take longer, even though our goal is for short-term, or daily trading
Trading in the bull and bear seasons can become difficult; we simply require to comprehend the market's concepts and price action; this will at the very least facilitate our trading journey. We are acquainted with trading strategies, alongside the support and resistance zone becomes obvious with these smaller views and advantageous trading intervals. I prefer shorter time frames because I am an experienced scalper in the market; trading daily will result in more stress. Despite bigger time frames, we can see the chart perfectly, and the market is turbulent at all times.
You have to use different time frame, different indicators to know when to buy and sell and see your current position, there’s no wrong on doing this and you can become more effective trader if you have this trading strategy since the market can’t be ok in just one time frame or indicator, expect for a trader to use multiple strategy. This is trading and you are looking for the best combination, day trader are often looks at a shorter time frame.
These time frames are available because they are very helpful when doing analysis. I indeed use short and long time frames just to picture what really happens on this particular project as we can't just rely on what happened today or this week but also, we consider what happened several months ago. Yes, the use of multiple timeframes makes us clearly understand their situation and it was easy for us to decide whether we have to buy this or not based on their previous performances.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling Bitcoin on: July 13, 2023, 01:54:51 PM
There are two types of Bitcoin Holder,
 1. Short-term holders - those who usually sell their coins and empty their wallets.
 2. Long-term holders - those who usually hold for many years and see their wallet address filled with a lot of Bitcoin.

Perhaps, it was their choice and you know what, it was hard to convince a person to hold when in their mind is to sell when the price went high. You can't force someone to hold if it was not in their mind.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 13, 2023, 11:50:53 AM
In on-tour games TNT still not winning anything and with what bisdak bet he managed again to win as the outcome only gives ROS 6 points that's something far from the handicap bookies gave for TNT. Not sure why it was being brought here about the regular season opportunities of TNT as we all witness what they've got last season, they are still in the competitive status and with coach Jolas we might see them competing as hard as what the fans expect from them.

FOr now, just chill and continue enjoying what the PBA is offering as the preparation for the world tournament is affecting the
PBA, let's hope for the best in this upcoming new season.

Maybe he was not following the games here and thought that the games held were for the regular season  Cool.

That 21.5 points handicap was a sure winner even before tip-off hehe, just too wide of a spread considering how a defense-oriented ROS played, i mean coach Yeng Guiao will not be happy at all if his players won't play defense and with that, their offensive output will also be affected, low scoring game i supposed but surprised to see that the total over-all score reached 200+.

If my memory serves me right, the ML odds pre-game for TNT to win was @11.xx, that was huge if you have bet for them and TNT won the game.

They came close to winning that game and gave ROS a tough time. It's fortunate that you bet on the handicap, which turned out to be a sure winner for you. In their next game, I believe TNT may not receive a high handicap spread anymore, considering how they performed in their last game. Bookies might make some adjustments, but if we can identify any value in their odds, it would be wise to take advantage of it.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2023, 11:19:47 AM
I agree with you that it might be tough for them placing him as they already have lots of scorers who
can give them good offense. And same with the Warriors, though let see if what's the next update about Wood we never
know which team will sign him.

The Lakers faced the Nuggets because they were a strong team, with the Nuggets holding the top spot during the season while the Lakers barely made it to the playoffs. From my personal observation, what seemed to be lacking for the Lakers at that time was support for Davis. While Davis could effectively guard Jokic, he appeared to be burdened with both scoring and defensive responsibilities, leading to potential fatigue. It might have been beneficial for Davis to focus on one specific role, whether it be offense or defense, in order to maximize his impact.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shuting down all bitcoin ATMs illegally operating in Uk on: July 12, 2023, 09:52:21 PM
I'm in favor of what they are doing, that is the thing they are supposed to do because the moment that they just tolerate installing BATM, they are also letting these owners to helping illegal transactions. What they looked at is the welfare of everyone, well, some people would say it was unfair but that is the law, those businesses that have not permits are illegal and should be stopped. Because I don't that the UK is against crypto but only these owners are lazy enough to comply with their requirements in order to become legally operated.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 12, 2023, 01:45:26 PM
Two new rules have been approved recently and will be effective this upcoming season.

1. In-Game Flopping Penalty. It's almost similar to what was previously proposed and what we've already discussed. The main difference now is that the opposing team will only be awarded one FT attempt and no more ball possession.

2. Awarding of second challenge to the coach when the first one was successful.

https://twitter.com/NBAPR/status/1678918316667068416

A lot of veteran floppers will have to adjust to this now hehe. Good for the game.

I believe the flopping rule has already been reported here, and we are all aware of it. However, the second rule, which awards a second challenge, seems to be something new. Personally, I like this rule because it rewards teams if there are any incorrect calls made against them. So far, these two added rules appear to be very helpful in improving the league.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 12, 2023, 01:07:32 PM
Referral bonus system is actually an advertisement system. It is the strongest advertisement system employed by gambling companies. This means that some parts of the money the company should be burning on promotions is channeled to referral bonuses. In a real life it is not a waste of time and according to Paxmao, it is not a favour the gambling company is doing for you. It is the reward of work done and people who knows how to convince others to play in their favourite platforms benefits from this.

Affiliate Marketing is one powerful marketing tool in online business for many companies. What online casinos did was to take it to the next level by giving a high percentage of referral bonuses than any other business? This is the only reason why everyone wants to venture into this business. There has been a rise of influencers who are trying to promote an online gambling platform as they are actually targeting the referral bonus. My opinion is that in the AI anyone can become an affiliate marketer for a casino if they have a plan in placed.

It's still effective if the actual person markets to gamblers based on their experience. It's more convincing than an AI. Perhaps AI marketing could work, but it will never be as effective as a person who is highly recognized on social media promoting a gambling site. AI has its limitations since it is created by humans, so it will never surpass the overall abilities of a human.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: July 11, 2023, 12:44:03 PM
I think it's good that Donaire really measured himself against Inoue and so he knows where his power is and maybe it is still the best in this division since Inoue has move up in weight already.

We will find out if he can reclaim the championship title. While Santiago may not pose a significant threat, this is still a championship fight, and Santiago will undoubtedly give his all to have a chance at defeating Donaire. I'm hoping for an exciting fight, and that often happens when a knockout occurs.

Donaire @1.60 by the way, I think it's already a good steal.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2023, 12:04:12 PM
Wemby is gonna take the break in the NBA summer league and will now focus on the upcoming season. This is as per the decision of his team, Spurs.

Spurs decide that Victor Wembanyama’s Summer League is over after two games

I guess this is all part of the grooming plan and he had shown enough for the summer league. The preparation for the upcoming season should be prioritized then.

They made the right decision. I was waiting for such a decision. We'll see when the regular season starts.
Popovic has plans for Wemby and Popovic doesn't want anything to happen to him in the summer league.
Yes, wise decision with Wemby, they have seen him play in the second game and have great numbers. But most likely, they will have to sit down with him and discuss what should they improved.

There are still a lot of games int he schedule of the summer league if I'm not mistaken, so maybe we can also see some players who has the potential to be the next hype player not just Wemby in this draft class or even undrafted players.

The Spurs have seen enough from him, and they want to prevent any potential injuries by preserving him during the regular season. This approach is similar to what happened with Chet when he got injured last season and missed the entire season. The Spurs are likely taking precautions to avoid a similar situation with Wemby if he were to see more action in non-crucial games.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having no money to invest in Bitcoin is even better on: July 08, 2023, 08:28:04 PM

I won't say having no money to invest in Bitcoin is better but I agree it has its advantages.
I would prefer to have money and make mistakes the learn form my mistakes. If you don't have money to invest, you might just keep beating yourself up every time because of the opportunities you're missing out on.

Although you won't make the kind of mistakes a newbie will make, learning before having money to invest doesn't always guarantee that you you won't make losses.
Perhaps, learning is expensive and we need money to do that. A reason why rich people become richer is because they are not afraid to take risks even if they will spend more money just to get information or ideas. Unlike those who have no money, let us say that they have a good level of knowledge and skill but because they don't have money to start making a business, they remain poor.
Therefore, we can say that money is very important and this is a tool that would help us to grow our finances as we can afford to invest if we want to.
899  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: July 08, 2023, 07:53:05 PM
Usually, the government supports farming because it was a helping tool to improve our economic system. There are many programs that support farmers in order to survive from the increasing materials needed and to keep farming. That is why I'd still see Farming will continue and be improved. In fact, in some countries, the government is very focused on this as it was considered a big asset knowing that people need supplies to live. Perhaps, we can't do magic in doing foods and so farming is necessary. In fact, we are all encouraged to do backyard farming and many individuals do and even make it a source of income.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 08, 2023, 07:24:59 PM
The thing is that the lottery or every other gambling is dependent on luck because the outcome is quite in two ways, I have a friend who played the American lottery some years ago, just one ticket and he win the prize right now he has relocated to the US for over 7 years now.

So the possibility of winning may be near zero, but if luck is on your side obe may end up winning, but it's better to limit the number in other not to get addicted.
We can't really imagine how people got crazy doing this when the situation is not fair - near to zero chances? We are just putting our future into almost nothing and besides, we never know when we become lucky and get the jackpot prize. Maybe some gamblers have been doing this for several years but got no luck, yet they are still buying tickets and joining lotteries hoping that one day they become a millionaire. I'd never say it was a big mistake but believing that this would be the last option to improve our finances, that was a big mistake.
