Ok so What defines a Bad Altcoin ?

i want you all to say what YOU think so the guys making the coins see what YOU say.
this is not a spring board for me to attack on some coins or something.
i intend on keeping out of it if i can lol

for me it just means a useless coin that does not fit a solid attempt at dethroning Bitcoin.
or at the very least a solid sincere attempt at being better than what is around..

for example i chose to support Jackpotcoin because when it was released a couple months ago
it was the best of the newer coins i figured and i seen it had some new features that were actually a step in the right direction for crypto.
the idea of using two separate Algo for POS and POW was a great idea !
and i wanted to pick the least worst coin to support pretty much.

anyway i thought it would be good for us to put it all on the table and talk about it !
like is a coin with scam code put in it any worse than a pure clone or a coin with just enough changes to say "it's different"
..I see it as same shit different pile.. ALL BAD !

but.. at least if guys TRY and make their coins seem legit that is step up sort of.. rather than not even trying (with clones etc)

I am curious what the situation is so i got a poll and i think the choices in it will explain

I have a crappy Fermi card i am mining with so i am not even counting that as Mining it's so slow and doesn't support many Algo's..
Also i know some guys had 100+ GPU's ..i had sold my last GPU a Radeon 7950 on eBay not long ago.. and i prob won't get any more GPU's any time soon.
So i voted option #1 = Sold 'em all off and not buying more.

    I have just come accross this news BitcoinExpress is Max Keiser.

    BitcoinExpress was defending Max keiser on the Max coin fail, saying Max didn't have anything to do with the coin fail/scam and that the developers used/gamed Max.

    When I spoke out against Operation Shitcoin and asked why they DDOSED me he said that's what you get for going against Max Keiser. In reference to a thread I previously made asking why Max had any more credibility.

Russia’s Ministry of Finance has announced proposals to ban the issuance of bitcoin and any operations involving cryptocurrency.

On Friday (1st August), the Finance Ministry announced on the government’s regulation website that it was drafting a bill relating to cryptocurrencies, which, if approved, will likely see those who break the new laws end up in jail.

The announcement said:

    “According to Article 27 of the Federal Law ‘On the Central Bank of the Russian Federation’ (Bank of Russia) the official Russian currency is ruble. The issuance of monetary surrogates in Russia is forbidden as well as the introduction of other monetary units. However, monetary surrogate has no standard definition in the Russian legislation.”

The Finance Ministry plans to make amendments to Article 27 of the Federal Law ‘On the Central Bank of the Russian Federation’, specifically banning the use of monetary surrogates, including cryptocurrencies. According to the ministry, the ban is necessary as monetary surrogates are widely used for buying illegal goods and money laundering.

Moreover, the government agency intends to restrict access to websites that enable people to buy, sell, transfer and use cryptocurrencies.

“Сryptocurrencies have no real value and their prices are determined due to speculations. So, there is a great risk that investors will lose their money,” the ministry’s statement concluded.

And right after that the price of Doge started to drop all over more and more..
So i occasionaly started dumping them for a bit of a loss.

I'd say this is a key issue consistently brought up in our crypto scene.
and I'd love to know what the general public thinks about this question overall.

I don't think any have done it and been up front about it but i am positive they are doing it secretly.

BTC-e staff sitting on Cryptsy chat trying to hype and pump some coin.. suspicious.
And also odd when they did that not long ago one of them.. Koolio was made a chat mod while he was doing it too !

Then you have incidents like TIX where all the Cryptsy mods staff played their own little part in making TIX / Tickets
with iGotSpots and another dev (or more ?)
They got caught bumbling around like fools getting tripped up in lies and games about it all..
but the problem was they kept opening their mouth admitting it all bit by bit.. sealing their fate.
For example Prime the chat mod had the exclusive ANN rights to post it on his own Crypto news site
far in advance of them posting it here.. deliberately avoiding posting about it here.... and duh..... flash miner advantage of course
and then it get 1000x worse from there too.. one of the guys who helped make TIX iGotSpots was the first guy to post a miner for the coin
because it needed a modified miner and he posted it publicly at the same time the coin launched,
and i said to him how do you deny working on the coin and even knowing to make a miner for it on launch day ?
And he would change the subject and troll me while Mullick and BitJohn and Prime etc sat in silence watching !
looking for the first chance to ban me on their chat.. Problem was one of them compiled it (Mullick) and uploaded the binaries
and another added it to his own crypto news site and another added it to the exchange etc
It was a Cryptsy coin made with iGotSpots but they ALL played dumb about it and lied their fucking balls off and trolled people non stop that asked questions.

There was some that did not add up !
iGotSpots had at the time the longest topic i ever seen here because Vlad had cloned hid coin Nuggets before Tix/Spots
and what was funny is that page was so bad they moved it to off topic for months because the drama was out of hand i think.
It was back then over 200+ pages of iGotSpots and Vlad fighting because iGotSpots claimed Vlad stoel hsi coin and he was made about it..
so in gods name would iGotSpots all of a sudden then be HAPPY about someone cloning his coin (TIX cloned from another coin iGotSpots made)
and why would he be advertising it on Cryptsy chat every 30 minutes when he was just fighting a guy for stealing his coin ? LOL

The answer was simple.. iGotSpots had stated publicly he would never release another coin and was not going to abandon "Spots" (the coin)
so he wanted to make another coin but was stuck.. he had to lie about it to in order to make TIX.
And the Spots bag holders were lied to, dumped on and left holding the bag as he dumped Spots and pushed TIX instead.
Ask anyone about the coin "Spots" ..he fucked them all !
He proclaimed he would ALWAYS support it and was banned for advertising it on cryptsy chat in like AUG 2013 and by SEP he had never mentioned the coin again.. ever !

iGotSpots was sitting on Cryptsy chat advertising TIX non stop on average about every 30 minutes he posted a link to the new coin (just like he did with Spots before)
and i said to Spots why are you posting about that coin so much and NOT your OWN coins ? He had no response of course LOL

i think i even have the chat logs maybe somewhere on my hard drive of all this stupid cocky deceitful cunts pulling all this shit too.

The kicker was BitJohn told me a day or two after the launch he KNEW who MADE the coin TIX..
because i had said on chat why would you add a coin if you don't know who made it ?
AND i said a bunch of times don't you think the public has a right to know who made the coin ?
they would not respond to that.. silence !
And think about it don't we all have a right to know ? If BitJohn knew ?? why was he deliberately with holding the name(s) On purpose ?

If someone has a plan to put in effect i think the time is right now.

the first coin to market that utilizes the entire planets computing power to solve our human race's scientific problems is the winner INSTANTLY !
and all other coins will be slaughtered instantly with out warning.. and this can happen at any time !
Coins such as Prime coin or Grid coin etc have touched on this.. but didn't go far enough.
What comes has to be modular i think.. a team at a university in Germany or what ever has to be able to call on our computing power
to setup a scientific project and execute it.. as in not just a coin / project focusing in on one project or means like Boinc.. we need it modular and accessible.

And this is not *only word salad but a warning..
The revolution could happen at any moment !
rendering your gimmick / clone coin worthless faster than you can login to an exchange to dump coins.

So God's Algo is not just the hashing algo we need to use but it's also the answer to all those scientific problems when used with our mining parallel computing

All the others suck .

Either they are useless or not worth bothering with.

Some may be too new for me to know about or too low in volume for me to have bothered with.
But if i had to pick one to recommend it would be Allcrypt.

The biggest reason of all is they are really good at notifying the users with information about any issues or potential issues directly on their site.
Something some places don't do at all ever !

And really there is nothing more important i think.. it's all about communication, because issues are bound to happen.

On a side note what the hell is with Coins-E ?
That place opened up before Crypsty and you would swear the guy running it is deliberately trying to hide it LOL
Last bit of news i heard about that place was when they had the Exclusive for Max Coin.. (they didn't)
And if people don't know that was a debacle..
You couldn't see any market orders listed so you had to guess what was going on.. meanwhile mcxNOW had it added and working fine.

Anyway, there you have it.. MY opinion (the correct one)

I am sure many of you know about a recent incident (couple weeks ago now i think)
Where some guy had found a way to exploit Cryptsy..

I had been "given" info from a few random sources as to what happened and i pieced together what i knew and had posted it briefly (on another topic the other day)
So it seems now after i have posted on this forum the Cryptsy staff are in a frenzy insisting they were not "hacked"
Makes sense because if it didn't happen their name is getting slandered unfairly.. i get that.

But i can summarize what i have heard about the incident and then ask you all do you consider that a hack or not.. please vote !

I was gonna let this all slide but since i have essentially been attacked and threatened and banned ..here comes the drama lol

Cryptsy i might add, so far has said virtually nothing publicly about what happened and at most had left a cryptic / vague message on their Main Page Twitter feed before.
Saying they simply rolled back "Points" ..obviously trying to down play it as much as possible.

So anyway the short version of what i heard from guys who where there when it happened and a mysterious un-named guy
was that Points was "Exploited / Hacked" and some guy had figured out a way to pretty much acquire on their systems HUGE massive amounts of POINTS.
 - Note: Points is Cryptsy's exchange currency of sorts.. a points program of some kind i think (not sure what to call it)
So after this mystery guy had got his unlimited points he was able to dump them for Bitcoin to the point the market had been dumped down to 4 satoshi's.
What happened at that point no one knows *publicly aside from Cryptsy found out and rolled back the points sell order / dumping.
And i assumed they banned the guys account.
At that time a mysterious character was popping up claiming to have been locked out of his account and another person and myself saved the guys ticket number
and said when we see a mod we would pass the ticket number on and try and get the guy some help on his account issue..
When i seen one of the mods i posted the guys ticket number and said can you help the guy with his account problem?
i was banned on the spot with no warning by an unseen mod (prob Jshock i assumed) ..so that was fishy lol

So another week or so later the same mysterious character popped up and was saying his account was locked and he would not tell me
if he was the same guy as before i tried to help out.. it was him though i am sure of it !
So since i had the fish on my hook and i was pretty sure i knew what was going on and i started to poke and prod this mystery guy about the Points Hack..

I started by telling him many times i was jealous of what he did and he should just tell me how to do it.. and he kept playing broken English dumb sort of..
And after a little while he dropped the act suddenly and started speaking rather confidently and was no longer sad about his account being locked
but was laughing his ass off hard and in a great mood and saying directly to me little comments like "what do i spend $89,7404 dollars on ?"
So i am pretty damn sure that was Mr. Points Thief based on ALL his comments combined and the rest of the info i had gotten etc..

The mystery guy nor Cryptsy ever said coins were stolen and taken off their servers 'AND' i did NOT say that happened at any time either !
BOTH parties were extremely vague as to what happened technicaly so anyone on Cryptsy Chat seeing it all or elsewhere had no recourse but to speculate..
And my guess was he dumped points down to 4 sat's and got Bitcoin of course then quickly pulled that Bitcoin out and cashed that Bitcoin out for over $89k usd
I think that is a rational assertion to come to..

Bottom line is i did not post false information anywhere at any time nor do i ever.. contrary to slanderous chat box comments implying i do i just got from JShock.
Further more i have repeated what information i had no more no less... i did not exaggerate or add to it etc. (i chose my words carefully as i ALWAYS do)
As it stands we were all told nothing and the market was rolled back ..screwing some people in the process who had dumped to buy up cheap points etc..

So explain to me how i don't have the right to call it a HACK when Cryptsy has to roll back the market and a guy says he got $89k ?
Sorry but if there was no hack then there would be nothing to roll back now would there ?

So hey why did around the same time the SAME GUY win the POINT'S drawing three times ? Care to answer why that happened ?

People deserve answers.. i *tried to provide what info i had nothing more.
Maybe you guys running exchanges should be transparent about hacker incidents and we won't have to piece together info to figure out what happened ?
It's on you guys NOT me !

So VOTE ? IS a confirmed and verified Exploit considered a Hack ?

They have posted "Your coin has been added to our exchange" with links to the exchange on 245 coin here so far..

i have previously pointed out how some of the coins they are adding do not even exist.. so..need i say more ?
