2  Economy / Currency exchange / [H] Paypal € [W] LTC, BCH on: September 25, 2020, 10:57:19 AM
Hi,

after a long hiatus I´d like to make another trade.

Have: 2,22 € Paypal
Want: 2,10 € in LTC or BCH (according to bitstamp.net rates)

I´d obviously buy BTC as well, but a trade of this size would be completely uneconomical
due to the high transaction fees at the moment.
Therefore I´m looking for LTC or BCH.

E.g. Litecoin?

as for the possible reasons it could be the tainted coins you got from an exchange or your IP flagged
...

If tainted coins are the problem he would have a problem with the exchange as well.
But he stated that he has no issues with his account at the exchange where
the funds were coming from.

I´m really curious which 3rd party Fairlay is talking about here. Given the fact that
Fairlay is not licensed anywhere in the world I don´t really understand why they would
work with a company like Chainalysis (I suspect that the 3rd party that they talk
about is one of these blockchain analytics companies).

What is the minimum bet at each exchange?

Is the Bitcoin transaction fee for withdrawals covered by SportOdyssey or
is it deducted from the user withdrawal?

Thank you for your reply.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How I lost 200,000 EURO on Bitcasino.io on: July 29, 2019, 11:54:25 AM
...
I'm not worried about how much I've lost I'm simply posting about my losses to see if others believe its fair to lose so
much without winning anything. If others believe its fair to dump so much money and not win a single jackpot playing
max bets on almost 80+ slots then I will stop complaining.

I definitely believe that something shady is going on with your Bitcasino account. Of course
it is possible to have bad losing streaks when playing in a casino, but if your description of your experiences is accurate
I doubt that your results are within the range of possible outcomes at a legit casino.

I also have doubts regarding the integrity of Bitcasino as they advertise a lot
on shady sites (e.g. sites that offer pirated movie streams). Maybe it is just affiliates
of Bitcasino, who advertise on these sites, but it is also possible that Bitcasino itself
is paying for ads at these kind of websites.

...
I'm losing on average 15,000 EURO a week on this site. I keep depositing hoping that one of the games might pay me. It is now clear they wont.
...

Wow, I have been trying to pay back a 9000 € loan for years and have only managed to pay back
a fraction while working a 2nd job and you are casually losing 15000 € per week  Wink
You surely are a successful person!

I wouldn´t stop gambling if you enjoy the activity, but I would definitely not make
another deposit at Bitcasino again. Maybe switch sites or try some gambling
variations like sports betting where you aren´t subject to possibly manipulated
slot games. Or maybe stop gambling altogether and use your BTC for a more
satisfying purpose. You could even sell some of your BTC and invite a few of your loved ones
for a nice dinner or some other treat that you will 100 % enjoy more than
another losing session at Bitcasino.

I wish you the best of luck in staying away from that particular site.
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwC Poker RELAUNCH ♣️ BITCOIN POKER 3.0 ♣️ BIG BTC🏆 ♣ Win✅ Mac✅ Android✅ HTML5✅ on: March 23, 2019, 02:06:42 PM

There is another site, which I shall not name here, with a wider variety of mix games and structures that is stealing your market share.

Do you have any plans to add more mix games to the lineup? Games like Archie, Dramaha hi/2-7, double board Omaha, super/pineapple stud hi/hi-lo, etc.
...

None of the mix games that you mention is running on the poker site that you refer to.
What would be the advantage for SWC in offering additional poker variants when they already
have one of the most manifold poker environments in terms of available game types?
What would be the advantage in adding a game like Double Board Omaha when at the current time
only 1 single table of regular PLO is running (2 guys playing Heads-up)?

What SWC really needs in my opinion is a "streamlining" of available stakes. The current lobby
where games are available from 1/2 (or even lower if we count the no-rake microstakes tables)
to 10k/20k for every gametype just gives a bad impression to a newbie when nearly all tables are empty.
A streamlined lobby would make for a much better user experience, especially for newcomers.
You could always add additional stakes later on when the liquidity of the site increases.

Not much detail but the recent terrorist attack was by a bitconnect investor who made money on it!
https://www.ccn.com/christchurch-terrorist-invested-and-profited-from-crypto-scam-bitconnect

I highly doubt that this is true. The manifesto of the Christchurch terrorist contains several memes and inside jokes
and many media outlets simply took everything in it at face value.

From the same article that you linked:
Quote
After revealing that video game Fortnite taught him how to be a killer, the gunman
disclosed that he has dabbled in cryptocurrency, writing:...

The part that Fortnite taught him how to be a killer was 100 % not serious and yet CCN
ran with it anyway.

Another media outlet posted about his 300+ confirmed kills as a sniper when it was a known
copypasta of a meme from 4chan that has been around for several years. This dude never
was a sniper and never even was in Afghanistan.

I strongly assume that the part about Bitconnect was a joke as well.
Most media outlets that write about this apparently have a hard time distinguishing
the honest parts of the manifesto from the obvious trolls/memes and jokes.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitfinex Recovers Stolen BTC with US Government’s Help and Reimburses Clients on: March 07, 2019, 03:06:40 PM
...
not to mention Bitfinex logo suddenly vanished from Cryptocapital site (which is the payment processor for Quadriga, Cex, Coinapult etc, all of them have gone dead).
...

Cex.io is still operating as a cryptocurrency exchange. Only Quadriga and Coinapult have paused
their operations for the foreseeable future. Nevertheless I agree that the removal of the Bitfinex logo is
probably not a good sign for the future of Bitfinex.

Another red flag is the increase of the minimum deposit for new Bitfinex customers. They claimed that they want to shift their focus on institutional clients,
but which institutional investor is going to choose Bitfinex over one of the more reputable exchanges?

And of course if LN works and transaction costs go really down.
...

I doubt that most centralized hubs will process transactions out of
benevolence - they will take a cut from every transaction. Even if the
Lightning Network works in practice (which is doubtful) and even
if somehow it manages to gain traction in the African countries you still
have the problem of funding LN channels in the first place.

It would not be of much use to people in poorer countries when LN
transactions are dirt cheap (which they probably will not be when
the liquid LN hubs will be run by banks and exchanges), but to get started
you would need to pay a 20 $ fee for the funding transaction on the BTC
main layer.

...
2. At the time of writing his investment would represent
a share of ~15 % of the total bankroll (1000 BTC / 5539 BTC (currently invested) + 1000 BTC (his investment)).
...

Actually these numbers would be slightly worse, because the 20 BTC dilution fee
would be part of the total bankroll as well.

I should have used the following calculation:
980 / 5539 + 20 + 980 = ~0.148 %
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: January 28, 2019, 02:15:52 PM
The dilution fee is way too high in my opinion.

Let´s take the hypothetical example of a guy, who is in love
with a girl, who only dates 6+ ft guys, who have more than 20 million $ in
their bank account and own several properties in exquisite
towns across various continents. In order to at least have a remote
shot at getting a date with this girl, he decides to get his
precious Bitcoins from cold storage with the aim of
investing them all into the Bustabit bankroll - his only
shot at getting the money to get a date with the girl
of his dreams.

1. He deposits and invests the 1000 BTC at Bustabit and his investment
immediately declines to 980 BTC due to the 2 % dilution fee.

2. At the time of writing his investment would represent
a share of ~15 % of the total bankroll (1000 BTC / 5539 BTC (currently invested) + 1000 BTC (his investment)).

3. The investors have an expectation of 0.75 BTC for every 100 BTC that are wagered.

4. Let´s say players lose a combined 100 BTC in the month of February and the house bankroll therefore
increases by 75 BTC. If we assume that no additional investments or divestments have been made, the
hypothetical investor gets 15 % of this amount, which is roughly 11.25 BTC.

5. Even though he was invested for a month and the house made a healthy profit of
100 BTC (which is far from guaranteed) he is still down a whopping 8.75 BTC due
to the dilution fee. With the used numbers players would need to lose at
least a combined ~178 BTC just so he can recoup this daylight robbery
dilution fee.

If players run exceptionally well or a whale puts a dent in the house bankroll, it could
take our guy months just to breakeven due to the dilution fee.

I understand the rationale behind the dilution fee, but I think that it is too heavily
skewed towards protecting existing investors at the cost of attracting new investors.
Now you will probably argue that the site bankroll is already the biggest of all BTC sites
and the max profit is high enough, which is why Bustabit doesn´t really need
additional BTC investments. But this misses the obvious fact that many investors
tend to gamble from time to time and investors going crazy (or simply trying to recoup
investment losses by gambling) has been the fuel for
a big percentage of site profits from time immemorial (the Just-Dice days  Wink ).

A dilution fee is fine, but the breakeven point shouldn´t be reached after several
months for a new investor if we assume that the site makes a profit. Of course
you can´t protect new investors from a downturn due to players running better then
expected.

I´m not sure whether I should be more appalled at the entitlement mentality of
the woman in my example or at the daylight robbery dilution fee that new
investors are currently charged at Bustabit Grin

And of course Happy Birthday to Bustabit!
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: GAME game *game* "GAME" QUARTER PREDICTIONS on: January 15, 2019, 06:57:29 AM

that's a longshot. the SEC merely needs to publish a decision---it could be a few sentences long and they can elaborate on their reasoning at a later time. even in a full government shutdown, the SEC still retains ~6% of its staff. they can publish a one-page letter.
...

I´d be content with a two-word decision like "MOON NOW!!!" from the SEC.

My prediction for the game:
3352 $ / BTC

high linguistic ability (an entirely female trait) in order to try and maximize scamming ability.  Males tend to have lower linguistic ability than females
because men can just go and do things themselves.
...

This is the reason why it is so great when you have high linguistic ability as a man.

Men have a weakness for visuals in general while women have a weakness for
soft words. If you have a certain playfulness with language, you can seduce literally
any woman. As you already pointed out most men don´t have this level of linguistic ability,
which makes seduction so easy for the men that possess that skill.

Market cap is down to ~95 billion $.

I still think that the drop below a market cap of 100 billion $ is only temporary.
Too many parties are incentivized to keep the price above the level that is necessary
for a 100 billion $ market cap.

The quality of answers to this threat has been really low... roughly half of the answers are either plain wrong or do not answer the question.

To clarify, we all agree that provably-fair algorithms are superior to the intransparent algorithms of traditional online casinos! However, the question in this threat is:
Why are Fiat online casinos not adopting the new provably-fair technology?

To have a reasonable discussion on this, please only reply if you either (a) know a Fiat casino that already offers a provably-fair algorithms or (b) give ideas on why Fiat casinos are not adopting the technology.

I started a similar thread a long time ago and received better replies
(including answers from users like dooglus or Stunna, who are highly
knowledgeable about the subject).

Why has no fiat casino adopted provably fair gambling?

Quote
Investors could open accounts by simply providing an email address and a user name – no additional information was required –
and could only fund their account using bitcoins.

Also 1:1 wie bei BitMEX.

Wurde 1broker wirklich so aktiv genutzt? Hatte bisher nicht den Eindruck, dass der Service
besonders populär war.

I have decided to leave the BQT Signature Campaign. This is not related
to the max post decrease, I would have left anyway, because of a lack of time
in the upcoming weeks.

I will remove the signature tomorrow.

Thank you for the reliable payments and the solid campaign management.

Maybe you could give my spot to the user @bitmover, who recently ranked up
