1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Deep Onion on: February 07, 2018, 06:48:26 AM
I think in any case, onion coins are not comparable to bitcoin, the two coins are not comparable at all. Although onions are good at privacy protection, Bitcoin has no idea of the distance it has in terms of its status as a cryptocurrency world.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Beginners Guide to Bounty Campaigns on: February 07, 2018, 05:25:16 AM
Welcome to what I hope will be an informative and useful guide for beginners who are getting involved in ICO Bounty Campaigns.

First things first.  Make sure you have an account for AT LEAST each of the following:

1. Bitcointalk.org (this one is pretty obvious)
2. Telegram
3. Twitter
4. Facebook (I don't do FB campaigning - I keep this just for my personal life.)
5. Reddit
6. Medium
7. YouTube
8. Steemit
9. Discord
10. Slack (maybe)
11. Any other Blogging platform that is currently popular.
12. Feel free to join any of the dedicated Bounty websites that are popping up. eg. bountylord.com (bookmark it) | Amazix Bounties @ bounties.biz (subscribe)
13. Cryptocompare.com
14. twitteraudit.com (for your Twitter account)

Have a selection of crypto wallet addresses for receiving your bounties:

1. ETH (most useful) and the Wallet must be ERC-20 compatible
2. XEM (Desktop version, not mobile app - Mosiacs currently aren't visible on the mobile wallets)
3. WAVES

### DO NOT USE EXCHANGE ADDRESSES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ###

Create a document/note on your desktop with all the various usernames, profile links, public wallet addresses, etc.  You will be using this information repeatedly.

Next, create a Spreadsheet Workbook and make a Mastersheet that you will duplicate for each Bounty you join.  Suggested columns include:

1. Date
2. Telegram
3. Twitter
4. Facebook
5. Signature
6. Reddit
7. YouTube
8. Medium
9. Other
10. Other

Row 1 should have each of the above labels.

Row 2 should be kept available for cutting and pasting the specific bounty instructions for each task
- under the Date heading, I add links for the BCT Bounty page itself and sometime a link to the ANN Page, Website, Whitepaper, and bounty spreadsheet.

Row 3 should be used to record which tasks were joined and any comments about what you did.  eg. under YouTube - "Joined - upvoted all current videos."

Row 4 - leave blank.  Use this as a delineation row from the actual work records.

----------

Now, to start with, users new to this forum will be Newbie rank.  This severely limits what campaign activities you can participate in.  Most signature bounties require Jr. Member as a minimum, but if you look around, you may find a bounty campaign that does allow Newbies to participate - just don't expect to get much in the way of reward.  Use this time as an opportunity to start contributing to the forum discussions.

Don't just post crap and spam the forum with rubbish posts.  Posts for the signature campaigns should be on point to the subject being discussed and add value.  Take the time to give your opinion on the matter and extrapolate your ideas to give substance to your posts.

Remember, to get to the higher ranks, you now need Merit in addition to Activity, so make your posts as valuable as possible and hope that you get a bit of Merit for your input.  Without it, you won't get to the Ranks that earn the big bounty bucks.

----------

Some campaigns require you to be a Jr. Member to participate in other/all parts of the campaign.  READ THE RULES CAREFULLY & FULLY.  You don't want to be wasting your time doing activities on a campaign you don't actually qualify for.

Be aware that some ICOs are now requiring KYC.  Are you comfortable with doing KYC?  If not, don't take part in those bounties.

----------

Become familiar with the interfaces for the various chat platforms - Telegram & Discord.  Understand how to reply, how to send a PM, and be aware that many ICO channels prohibit discussion of Bounties.  There may be a separate Bounty channel, or you may need to PM an admin to discuss bounty-related matters.  (The General Rules of the campaign should explain how/who you contact for bounty questions.  Sometime, there's a form you need to fill in; other times you need to post in the Bounty topic or PM the Bounty Manager in the Forum)

When you enter a room in Telegram or Discord, take the time to read the Pinned Message (Telegram) and check the Announcement channel (Discord), if they exist for the room you're in.  Read back up the chat for a bit to see what has been discussed.  Quite often, if you have a question, it may have already been answered recently or be included in the pinned message / announcement.  Taking a couple of minutes to read recent chat will make the admins work much easier - there's not much more annoying than answering the same question multiple times every minute or so.

----------

Okay, let's assume you've found a campaign you want to join.  What should you do next?  REREAD THE RULES CAREFULLY & FULLY.  Make sure you understand what tasks are required of you to be eligible for rewards.  Understand how long the campaign is scheduled for?  Be aware the schedule can change.  If they hit Hard Cap early, the campaign will likely be finished early.  If sales are slow, there's a chance the campaign may be extended.

Return to the campaign page at least twice a week to see if there's been any changes/updates to the campaign rules/timeline.

Be certain you know what reporting procedures are in place, if any. If in doubt, clarify uncertain points with the Bounty Manager.

----------

The first thing I do when I start a new bounty is label the spreadsheet with the name of the ICO, the weekly reporting date, and the campaign end date. eg. "AstorGame R-Sun Fin 14/3"  Now I can easily see that I need to do the weekly reports on Sundays and the campaign his due to finish on 14 March.  Use whatever format you're comfortable with.  People in the US will no doubt use the 3/14 format for Month - Day, whereas we Aussies use the old British format.

For each part of the bounty you signup to, copy and paste that section of the rules into Row 2 of your spreadsheet under the relevant column.  Now you have all the pertinent information on hand, which will make following the rules easier.  Be sure to add links to the Twitter account / YouTube Channel / etc on your spreadsheet as well.

If, for example, the Twitter campaign you've signed up to requires 2 Tweets and 10 Retweets per week, go ahead and lay out the numbers you need for the coming week.  If there's a max of 2 RT per day, then add dates spaced 2 rows apart so you can easily see what is needed each day.

Be aware that over-posting is just as bad as under-posting for some bounties and may disqualify you from receive a reward.

----------

If there's a Whitepaper available for the ICO, read it. Read it again.  Use the salient points in the Whitepaper for crafting your Twitter/FB posts, or for asking leading question in the Telegram channel (on those occasions that activity is a requirement of the bounty).

Take screenshots of graphics from the ICO website and White paper and add these to your posts.

If there's a YouTube video - share it.

Make sure you include any required hashtags and links when making posts.

Create interesting ways of wording your posts:  Pose questions | Highlight benefits | Make comparisons to other lesser Token in the same genre

----------

Be sure to check the bounty spreadsheets regularly - mistakes get made, so be sure you've been credited for the work you've performed.

----------

At the end of the bounty, don't pester the bounty manager or devs with questions like "Where are my coins?"

It takes time to ratify the spreadsheets, and even then, bounties aren't normally paid out before the ICO distribution.  The rules will normally say when the bounties are due to be paid.  Accept that they know what they're doing, but if no details on bounty distribution is mentioned anywhere at all, feel free to ask.

----------

You can also use the spreadsheet to keep track of any Airdrops you participate in.

----------

Well, that's about all I can think of for now.  I hope this info proves useful to you.  Happy Bounty Hunting!!

# Merit is always welcomed #

Thank you for sharing, I think your POST can help a lot of newbies.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No Information on how to collect coins for ICO on: February 06, 2018, 08:42:16 AM
ICO is asking you to invest the token to the project team, and then after that, they will inform you to send your address to them before going to the platform and then send you the token. Of course, before you choose the ICO project, because not every ICO will succeed, some failed or a liar.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is what i buy during the crash. on: February 06, 2018, 08:38:54 AM
I think at this time, what coins can be bought, as long as you think you can survive the coins, because as long as after this fall, the remaining coins are technical and quality.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your best investment in crypto? on: February 06, 2018, 08:37:28 AM
ICO stage of a coin when the ICO is the most profitable all the coins, as long as the platform are basically more than 10 times, this is I think the best investment, but occasionally encounter liar.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are u going to buy after this fall? on: February 06, 2018, 08:35:12 AM
I'm going to spend 40% bitcoin and all the rest is buying Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies I think there's not much left after this fall, so I do not think Bit is more stable with Ethereum.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don't think the gold value bigger than bitcoin on: February 05, 2018, 10:41:49 AM
It is my understanding that gold, to some extent, is comparable to bitcoin, is stability, and gold is more stable than bitcoin, which is inevitable. But from the return on investment, bitcoin's return on investment in the first phase is certainly higher than gold.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: February 05, 2018, 10:37:22 AM
Bitcoin works best at both but it is more recognized nowadays as an asset rather than a currency. Mainly because trading it yields profit to the investor and sometimes selling it also does. However, bitcoin also works good for buying goods and services that are provided on the internet obviously because it was meant to be a currency.
I think bitcoin can be both an asset and a currency because it has both functions as an investment, but at the same time acts as a medium for trading and its price volatility.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it possible that crypto will never rebound? on: February 05, 2018, 07:39:20 AM
A lot of coins are falling and not rebounding, and only a small part of them will rebound, since most Altcoin have no quality. And people only have long-term investment intentions for such promising coins that they can make money.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think the Bitcoin and Alt Coins prices will GROW. on: February 05, 2018, 02:41:36 AM
I think I should congratulate you, holding bitcoin at such a low price, but be patient, my friend. Bitcoin from 2009 until now, has been said to be over, died, but the result you can learn. We have to wait patiently, the time will tell you, and now too much negative news, I think someone is taking control of bitcoin's price to make a profit.
11  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin price fluctuations mainly affected by what? on: February 04, 2018, 08:55:50 AM
Bitcoin's recent price volatility is very large,
So in the end bitcoin price factors what,
Your opinion
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is this the end of crypto? on: February 04, 2018, 04:59:33 AM
This is definitely not the end of crypto. But it is worrisome that with every dip we have a lot of people are afraid that this is the end of it.
I think it is best if bitcoin is better developed when those who do not believe in cryptocurrencies leave and the rest are those who truly believe and recognize bitcoin.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people start to mix and buy bitcoins? on: February 04, 2018, 02:23:38 AM
I can understand why people want to mix other cryptocurrencies and bitcoin to buy together? If that is the case, the reason is simple: bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can share the risk that bitcoin is relatively stable compared to other cryptocurrencies because of its fluctuating price, but its own price makes it Enough to support the market volatility, and other Altcoin is very difficult to do.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Keep calm, and take a coffee. A trader said... on: February 02, 2018, 01:23:29 PM
If you are a trader, a real trader, you  will make your fortune when the market goes down and others sell! Short all & buy at discount. The sales time is starting

i would wait a little longer though.
right now the market is pretty much unpredictable. many say it will fall more and we will have a long bear market but at the same time many others say it is the dip for the next leg up to reach a new ATH.

i say i am a BitcoinHodler, i am going to HODL for the time being and when things became clearer then i start making decisions about what to do with my extra cash.
I think the wait-and-forget wait now is the best option and waiting for the crypto-currency market to change is not that big when it's time for us to start rejoining, and blockchain is a very important technology for the future so I believe bitcoin .
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin in a World War scenario on: February 02, 2018, 07:52:17 AM
I think that if world war broke out then the legal currency of all countries would become useless and the price of bitcoin will continue to rise and rise to incredible levels. Because it is unregulated, it can circulate in all countries of the world. When the war breaks out, countries will not arbitrarily trade goods and materials will be manipulated. Then the advantages of bitcoin will be reflected.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happen With Bitcoin? What is the Reason for this huge drop? on: February 02, 2018, 03:10:03 AM
I think some whales are cleaning up some worthless Altcoin. The price of bitcoin drops. Many cryptocurrencies go down. Some Altcoin with no technical and potential will disappear directly because of this drop, which is more beneficial to the market vitality. My guess.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i buy ethereum with all of my money ? on: February 01, 2018, 10:20:10 AM
You should always increase your ethereum portfolio. Ethereum businesses will never die. There are 1000s of upcoming projects. And  it will drive ethereum price to very high levels, always.
But I do not think putting all the money into Ethereum because that's not sensible. It's like we can never put all our eggs in one basket, and we have to keep some seeds for ourselves, and we can stay until the next time we join them again. Investment needs to be rational.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin loses its popularity ? on: February 01, 2018, 09:11:53 AM
Bitcoin is still more popular despite the existence of other coins. Bitcoin still receives love from investors, the price is actually a good advantage for them to buy bitcoin. They believe that after several months, bitcoin will pump up again so they want to buy now and hold it for a long time. Bitcoin will never lose its popularity unless one's country banned it.
I think bitcoin can survive even if the country prohibits bitcoin. Bitcoin is based on a blockchain. Based on the internet, as long as the Internet exists and there is a concept of cryptocurrency, I think bitcoin will exist. Bitcoin popularity will not receive the effect of other cryptocurrencies, new coins have brought new investment, but the new coin is often higher than the bitcoin's risk. I think bitcoin can be used as a countervailing asset.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethreum the new king of crypto? on: February 01, 2018, 07:08:57 AM
I do not think much that bitcoin is still the cryptocurrency for the time being, and although Ethereum has been chasing it, the gap between Ethereum and bitcoin is still far from the price, and bitcoin is the basis of all cryptocurrencies , Its price can not fall too much, because if it falls too much, the price of other cryptocurrencies will make us even more panic.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need a merit to go up, can I get it? on: February 01, 2018, 02:45:59 AM
I think what you need is not to merit someone else, but to send out some quality and meaningful posts.
