1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Wu Announces BM 7NM pending Miner release. 42 J/TH on: September 21, 2018, 02:43:07 PM
It will be more like 2 - 2.5 times power efficiency gain vs. the Ant S9.

Well.....depending on price......We'll see how worth it it will be to sit up all night hitting the "refresh button" on the bitmain order page.
2  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Small farm for sale Quebec on: September 21, 2018, 01:49:15 PM
I'm afraid all bids are automatically lower for Legacy Technology Gents. Bitmain just announced their 7 nm chip tech release as pending. 3-4 X efficiency gains.
3  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Wu Announces BM 7NM pending Miner release. 42 J/TH on: September 21, 2018, 01:26:04 PM
Thanks for the Link Hags. I'm a bit sleepy. Sorry.

Hey I'm curious as to your take. I'm throwing a wild guess at possible efficiency gain. My assumptions; 28-32 TH with a 1700-1800 watt power draw. So 3-4 times efficiency gain over the S9 13.5th. Yours??
4  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Wu Announces BM 7NM pending Miner release. 42 J/TH on: September 21, 2018, 12:49:17 PM
So today in Georgia Jihan made his long awaited announcement. ( See Bitmain Web page ) The new 7NM ASIC from BM is coming. When? How Much? most importantly " How much better. Claiming 42 J/TH for the 7NM. Thoughts?

NEW MINING MACHINE WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON
New Chip Uses the 7nm Semiconductor Manufacturing Process and Will Greatly Improve Power Efficiency

BEIJING, P.R. China, September 21, 2018 – Jihan Wu, CEO and co-founder of Bitmain Technologies Ltd. announced Bitmain’s next-generation ASIC chip BM1391 for mining cryptocurrencies using the SHA256 algorithm at the World Digital Mining Summit in Georgia today. Mr. Wu also revealed that Bitmain will soon launch a new generation of mining machines equipped with the BM1391 chip.

The new ASIC SHA256 algorithm acceleration chip carefully built by Bitmain uses one of the world’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies, 7nm FinFET. The ASIC chip integrates more than a billion transistors and is optimized for maximum efficiency. Thanks to its unique circuit structure and low power technology, it is stable and more efficient. Mr. Wu said tests have shown that the chip can achieve a ratio of energy consumption to the mining capacity that is as low as 42J/TH.

At his keynote speech at the summit, Wu Jihan said mass production of the 7nm chip will begin and be applied to the next generation of Bitmain’s Antminer machines, improving the new miners in various performance indicators, in terms of power and power consumption, and enabling outstanding performance.

Realistically, you shouldn't draw more then 160 total amps on a 200 amp service. ( 80 % rule) This avoids the very situation the OP shared. So 24 S9's puts you right at that threshold.

Anyway, I am interested in your situation. I pm'd you.

The Inno unit takes 8-10 months to pay itself off. How is THAT interesting??

What age are your units? What conditions were they run under? Any warranty? I am in Houston. Physical pickup? You can email me. I have interest in S9's.

Scam alert. This clown has "Stock pictures" up as some kind of "proof" of the miners. Literally C&P'd off some website. He has more compliments about what a "great guy he is" than he has sold miners. He's charging more than Bitmain for the units. STAY AWAY! SCAM.

How old are these units?

You know bitmain is selling S9i 14.5th for only $414 and with PSU for $499? With coupons they are even cheaper.
This is clearly a scam. Look how many people with the same post count as the Op came in and wrote what a "great seller" he is. Very suspicious.

That little asinine clip tells it all. Scam. Fortunately, it will take someone with an IQ above 78 to pull off a scam in here. That's not you.

I have the same MOBO and frame. Frame was never assembled and MOBO still in original packing. GPU market went to hell right when I got them so i never ordered any cards. I'll cut the same deal if anyone is interested. PM me.

~ Nope. Bitcoin manipulation is clearly impossible and unlikely. Banks cannot and do not manipulate entire countries ...

You can buy a real gold (or silver) coin or bar and hold it in your hand (like bitcoin) and only trust yourself.

or

You can buy an imaginary contract which says that own something you actually don't.
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futures_contract

...

It is a crime to sell someone something that you do not own.

EDIT: Also consider that these banking institutions had been reinforcing the same message for years ... that Bitcoin is a 'ponzi' scheme with no intrinsic value or worth. Now that they have customers who are interested in owning bitcoin, they are now happy to sell them 'fake' derivative based bitcoin contracts? Seriously.  Roll Eyes

“ imaginary contract”. LMGDAO!! Do you even read what you type? You have NO idea what you’re talking about.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: July 10, 2018, 02:42:38 PM

For those PM'ing me...and also to show what I got for my stuff...I sold all my Bitmain Stuff. I'm out of LTC mining as of today.

Just for those wondering on price, this is what I got.

14 Bitmain L3+'s at $250 each and $75 bucks for a total of $325 per unit with used (most more than 1 year) with Bitmain PSU's, for $4,450.00 USD.

4 Bitmain  L3's at $125 without any PSU's of any kind, for $500.00 USD.

  2 Bitmain D3's x11 miners at $150 each with Bitmain PSU's, for $300.00 USD.

Total $5,350.00 USD.

All above went to buyer(s) in the same Data Hall I'm at. Thus no shipping, and no hassle. Just a transfer or payment addresses.

Anyway, I'm out.

I still think Bitmain may spring the 'supposed' 3x the hash miner out this Summer, (being evil and all) we will see. If they do, I doubt I will play 'pre-order 4 months

in advance for fall delivery game, I'd guess they would try again. I'm now in full HODL mode, with no mining. Ack!

So, seems I'm out of BTC and LTC mining, for the first time since Oct 18th, 2013..feels weird...

but satisfied with the ROI from then till now and the price I got for the above...so can't really complain.

Anyway, for your info on what I managed to get for the above units, in case some on here are also thinking about selling such.

As always good luck and pray to the ASIC gods for a pump of all crypto Smiley

Will continue to 'lurk' this thread (sorry, for all that are now in 'dismay' on that!)

later

brad

Fare Ye Well Amigo. You'll be back. This isn't the final curtain.

If this is just a statement, I think it's okay. but what Goldman and his team are working for is to bring their clients to invest in bitcoins. it will have a positive impact on the market  Cheesy
NO, it will have a positive impact on GSA's fat bottom line. The "customers" will be raped and fleeced like all GSA "customers".
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs with the futures on: July 10, 2018, 02:39:42 PM
I believe ETFs should be in the game instead of futures, which is a gambling tool anyways.
I guess you don't understand that ETF's are constructed of various derivative products. Futures and Options being the lion's share of their construct. No Futures......no ETF's.

What is a Payout Accelerated Cloud Mining Contract (PACMiC)?

The PACMiC is a new value-added cloud mining service product from Hashnest. The PACMiC is an electronic contract structured in a new way. BITMAIN will pay all the maintaining cost of the mining rigs, and all the mining revenue will be used to pay back the PACMiC owners. When the principal is not fully paid back, it will share profit with buyers. When the principal is paid back, the mining rigs will belong to BITMAIN. Both principal and profit payments will be made to the contract holder based on the mining revenues of AntPool. Since PACMiC will not bear the maintenance cost, so the payout is accelerated.

Purchasing a PACMiC

In the initial sales open day, one PACMiC will be sold for one (1) bitcoin. Each PACMiC represents six terahash of hashing power. The contract will become active immediately upon receipt of full payment.

Computing principal and profit of an PACMiC

As soon as the PACMiC is activated, payouts will be made through Hashnest in accordance with the mining revenues generated by AntPool’s PPLNS payout method. Profit payments will be made beginning with the first block found by AntPool after the contract’s activation. From the first block until the contract’s expiry, profit will be accumulated every second.

Cloud Mining is a scam and a rippoff. Take this crap somewhere else.
