If they take time to clean them, there is no way to know if they have been previously mined. Truth be told.....7nm technology is in production. Samsung intends to ramp up chip production throughout 2018. Granted, ASIC miners are probably not extremely high on the distribution priority list, but it's coming within the next 12-24 months to Bitmain. This is why they are purging their current inventory. ASAP they will mine the 7nm and once they skim the cream off the top, we'll be fighting online to buy their scraps. Rinse repeat.

It's actually way worse than all that. Not only did they take full advantage of their monopoly on the ASIC market through selling the servers, They mined the everloving shit out of them before releasing them for sale. That guy Cryptocrane did a video of unpacking his D3 and the bastard had the dust from the mining farm all over it still!! They didn't even bother to clean it off. They ran the 16nm technology while the profits were fat and then dumped them all over the street. I'm sure they will be mining 7nm tech as soon as they can and we won't be able to buy it until they're done milking the teet.

While there isn't definitive proof of that -- their facilities could be absolutely filthy, for all we know, after all, it IS China we're talking about -- they are only interested in it for the $$$, so that's entirely possible.

That said ...... I'd estimate at least 75% of the people who ordered D3s for themselves aren't in it for the benefit of the X11 blockchain.

There is plenty of "greed" to go around.  After all, that's why miners mine.

M

I'm skeptical that they are assembling hardware in such a dusty environment. The dust was very visible on the intake side fan. Give it a look. I have no doubt that these miners are arriving with many hours of hashing on them.

All my L3+'s arrived clean and new, will pick up D3s tomorrow will see how they gonna be.

864  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S9. Is it best to wait for shipment batch or pay high price on ebay? on: September 21, 2017, 05:33:00 PM
It's very relevant. BTC profitability has just cratered due to Diff increase. Sub $10.00 per day for the S-9. Anyone buying ASIC miners from resellers these days has NO hope of making money. Well, for at least a year or more. If you pay the release price you at least stand a chance. Resellers today are just another form of scammer. Gouging people knowing full well that these machines will not recoup the costs of their sales. Think about it. If the machine was going to make money mining, why would all these thieves....er....I mean...."resellers" be selling them???

while there is some truth to what you are saying, i would comment:

whenever you guys read something like this, go and buy more asics.

please tell me another Investment to roi in 3-6 month?

its very true it always depends on your Situation.
most People will be happier if they just buy some currency instead of miner.

double Price Reseller? well.. opportunity.

now the op question. shipping is not the Problem.
its the pre-order, 2-3 month wait. Money locked.
if you can handle that then you should be golden.

in case of x11, that ship has sailed.
btc is on the low end too,
gpu are not very profitable also.

waiting for the next opportunity...

But the devil is in the details. The ROI everyone is so fond of talking about is ALWAYS based on current calculators. These calculators are virtually ALWAYs wrong by the very nature of their formulas. They show insane profit margins which drive more people to buy the units, which in turn drives the hashing on the network up. It's a self fulfilling prophecy. The only thing that can correct this spiral is for profitability to go negative. Which it will. It's a verifiable certainty. The only survivors will be those who maintained discipline and managed their costs. If you're paying >.07 Kw for electricity and you bought ASIC servers from resellers at double or more of release price, your NOT gonna be profitable. End of story.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 21, 2017, 05:25:14 PM
Now don't piss me off cause I can start swearing you for 5 minutes continuously without repeating myself....

I forgot what the specific term was but bitmain should release as many batches as it wants WITH numbers that don't fucking heavily influencing the price, the market or the difficulty.
It's all about putting a god damn brake on the greed but it seems that's not the case here....

Remember Bitmain doesn't care a single IOTA about the miners.  Or Bitcoin, for that matter.  All they care about it making money.

Therefore they are going to sell as much as they can for as much as they can, with no regard to miners or Bitcoin.

That said, they can only sell what people will buy.  There is plenty of blame to go around here....

M
The true poetic justice in this is yet to unfold. I would estimate that 70% of the last 2-3 batches of L3+ and D3's were scooped up by "resellers" trying to gouge people with 3x. 4x, 5x etc. markups. I can say with utmost confidence that those unscrupulous, self serving, greedy pieces of Dung, are gonna get their asses handed to them. Rightfully so. These people are a complete contradiction to what the Block Chain community is all about. Anyone who is disciplined and patient, can just sit back and wait for these turds to start puking these machines up like drunken whores at fantastic prices. I look forward to drinking their blood.

remember that when the next batch arrives to people the difficulty will rise, well it might not be that relevant for BTC than other crypto

I have PMd you

$9,000 per D3.
Wants 30% paid upfront

Wow. Ridiculous.

Lol wonder who will buy this crap.
Trust me dude....you'd be surprised. There's some goofy fucks out there.  Friggin DASH Diff already poked through 3m today. Anyone want to "catch the falling knife??"

i gotta say i love the way you hate on the d3s and resellers so much.

its kinda like in college where your buddy cant fuck the hot girl cuz she turned him down so hard that he goes around saying she has big toes or some shit to try and make everyone not like her.

listen we get it man, you dont have the d3 yet, you couldnt fuck the girl, just let it go. we all know you would of fucked the girl if you could, and if you had the d3 on hand you'd try to sell it too. just let it go bro, theres more to life than being constantly negative and pessimistic.
I don't need to fuck the girl. I'm fucking your mother. You dumb shit. I don't "hate on the D3" ( nice street wanna be lingo ) If you're too stupid to see what's going on here just keep quiet about it instead of proving it to everyone with posts like this. If one person wakes up and doesn't blow their money on a Ponzi bullshit reseller gouging them then my work is done. If you're such a lowlife worthless piece of shit, that you will do anything to make a few bucks or hurt anyone to make money, then that's your problem. Now piss off. I gotta get back on your mom.

why batch are so distant ?

I just bought one as gambling cause 2 month of waiting is century in crypto but im not sure anymore lol, they dont do refund right?

You can always mine other coins if dash coin is to hard to mine

Can you tell me good crypto I can mine besides DASH using Antminer D3?  Those of use who bought D3 lately will probably will not have any ROI with dash when we get it late Nov or early December.
You're gonna need a swithing pool Hombre. Try Nicehash. Set up as an ASIC X11 miner. They'll find the best coin for your gear at any given moment.

they don't mine coins their prices are purely buyers demand.

my pool however, www.zpool.ca,  will mine the more profitable coins all the time.
Yes and the net effect is the same, except with more stability for the seller.

Does any of you guys use some kind of vortex fans to remove the heat from L3+s.

I have a similar space as this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=317wqakIKx8&t but I cannot figure out how it works for him. He has 7 S9s outputting 250 CFM into 6" duct with Vortex fan pushing only 1140 CFM. 7 S9s output 1,750 CFM of hot air. How that Vortex fan and only 6" duct can handle it?

Thank you in advance.

Started a new topic about cooling here too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2191681.0

Mods just took a shit on your thread. BTW where are you getting the electricity to run that much hardware in a 80 sqft space??

I saw that. Whatever he says there is not 1 place for all cooling setups. I looked for it, did not find. You can look though all the old threads but that's scattered all over the place.

Regarding the power - I got 240A 220V power installed, the problem is the cooling. Didn't realize how much hot air these miners output.

What did they charge you for that install if you don't mind my asking? Did you need a new breaker box and meter?
872  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer D3 - AVAILABLE NOW on: September 19, 2017, 06:27:30 PM
holy shit.

25k each? Jesus Christ you could buy a Tesla Model 3 with that once you factor in tax rebates.

I will be watching this closely, hope you drive off into the sunset with a new car!

Haha Smiley How did you know my plan!??? lol jk,

In all seriousness, these miners will easily make $3000-$5000 a month for the first few months and then sit around $1500-$2000 a month for a good while. It should ROI in a year for the buyer.

If you check, they are doing 1500$ a month now, and with the amount of D3, Baikals, Pinidea's, Innosilicon's that are going to be put on the market that value will decrease exponential in the next few months. That being said, can offer you 1.15BTC for one or 2BTC for 2. Best regards

$1500 a month? Where the heck are you seeing that. I'm seeing $123 a day according to Coinwarz and $118 a day according to whattomine. Thats over $3000, and that's going to go back up once the market goes back to where it was.

Your offer isn't a bad offer, but it's way less than what I'm looking for. Sorry. 2.0 BTC wouldn't even be enough for 1. Especially with the pending BTC crash come the end of the month. The storm isn't over my friend Smiley I'm looking for Paypal only.
Coinwarz calculator blows goats. Like all calculators it is a "now" snapshot. Did you know that DASH Diff shot up over 3 million today. I'm afraid your numbers are way off. You just saw some dude with 5 "in hand" D3's launch them at less than $5,000 each and he started out at $9,500. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $4,000 for an in hand D3. Don't be fooled by "current" numbers. The D3 profit numbers will be sliding dramatically almost daily from here on out. I said the same thing about the L3+'s a couple months back and all the geniuses in here got all butt hurt and thought I was nuts. By December DASH Diff will be at 10 million. Truth

"The main reason why we are selling them is"......DASH Difficulty just went through the fucking roof and we want to cash out and stick these up someone else's ass. (truth)

I'll take all 5 for $3,000.00 apiece. You'll no doubt say no, and you will also no doubt end up regretting that.

I'm sorry but it was kinda funny to read this, only to see him sell them near instantly =P
At half his asking price....that we know of. A fair price for next to "in hand" D-3 I would say. Glad it worked out actually. For both sides.

After looking around the web, Zpool has a lot of bad press out there and they are not considered very trustworthy. I've never used it, but when I read that I stay away. Not just a story or two, but a LOT of stories. No Zpool for me. There are many "dirty tricks" pool operators can play to cheat the miners. No way you can detect them. Must have trust.

You may be referring to this ANN:

Affirmative. That's one of many.

or maybe we will find another X11 profitable coin

Yeah or sites like prohashing and zpool for x11 multicoin really pick up favor and deliver something worth putting our money towards. Anyone know if prohashing is stable yet? I remember reading they have gone down month after month.
They did a server upgrade last week. It was all good until then. After the server upgrade it got nasty. Going down 2-3 times a day. They have been stable the last few days but I'm gonna wait until it's been a week or so of stability before going back. At one point the pool was down but the miners were just in limbo and didn't kick over to their failovers. Some miners wasted a few hours just laying there dead in the water with no failover activated. Not sure what happened there.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 18, 2017, 08:38:43 PM
zpool.ca

2 hours of single L3+ running.
Profit: 0.00063164 BTC
so assume linear rate, that translate to 0.00757968 BTC/day or $30/day, more than PROhasing is giving out.
It doesn't work that way my man. It's not linear. LTC single coin mining today will be around $13-$14 per day. Unless I missed a HUGE Diff drop....

It's probably too small of a sample to make a good guesstimate for the daily revenue. Could have 2 lucky hours. That it'll be higher than LTC single coin is a fact Smiley
Yes but even the switching pools are down to $19.00-$21.00 per day. Not that that's bad. I'm on NH and ProHash. They run fairly neck and neck. About $20 a day right now.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 18, 2017, 08:36:41 PM
This is interesting!

9.4 amps at 208V for 2 D3's = 977.6watts each.

What a great surprise. That's awesome!
That's $27.00 a day better profit vs 15k and 1260 watts. Today's numbers of course.

Enjoy it while it lasts - a month from now X11 profitability will have crashed hard as LOTS more D3 (and other folks) miners get shipped up and running....

Not saying there won't be ANY profit by the end of October - just that it's going to collapse to ballpark S9 numbers and after another month probably worse.

Once my hardware is paid for I have absolutely NO problem with S9 profit numbers. I totally agree that that  will be the yardstick for all these Altcoin Algos. It just makes sense.
