Ups charging me 177 USD for 2 machines duty tax doesn't that seem a bit high wth...

Bitmain must have tripled the item value or UPS is price gouging.

DO NOT USE UPS for shipping. I repeat DO NOT USE UPS!!!

These fuckers charged me 163 USD for 2 machines just like you, and held it hostage until I paid them back. I will never ever use them again, ever! I advice people to choose other shippers other than UPS. They're not idiots, I bet they know what's in them, and they want to take advantage of it, as much as possible.
Where are you from ? What are your import fees ? Do you pay VAT ? That would be 5.5% total fees. Consider yourself fortunate wherever you live.

This is interesting!

9.4 amps at 208V for 2 D3's = 977.6watts each.

Those are VA, so W is even better. Might just get a few more while stocks last Wink

Actually not sure I am calculating correctly. Measuring 9.4amps on each leg of a 2 pole breaker. Each leg measures 120v, if I check them together its 208v.

Nice are they louder that S7/S9?

Seem to be the same fans, running around 4800 rpm so they aren't real quiet. Our airflow is not ideal right now. I'm sure with proper exhaust/intake the fan speed would come down some.

Someone can chime in but after reading I think I take the individual line voltage(120v) x ~9.4amps = 1128watts

I've just ordered another D3(god help us all) and shipping cost using DHL to Eastern Europe is: Shipping Cost:  + 220.92  USD same as the first order.

Somebody at YT use for Antminer S9  this PSU: EVGA 1600 G2 . Its Gold version, therefore much better, than Bitmain PSU I think.

There is no doubt, the bitmain is afraid of the Chinese government, however, the company needs to act in a way not to harm the first buyers of the batch at the end of November. Well, I made my purchase on 8/18 and today more than 30 days later, bitmain continues to sell for the same batch.

What a great surprise. That's awesome!
That's $27.00 a day better profit vs 15k and 1260 watts. Today's numbers of course.

Enjoy it while it lasts - a month from now X11 profitability will have crashed hard as LOTS more D3 (and other folks) miners get shipped up and running....

Not saying there won't be ANY profit by the end of October - just that it's going to collapse to ballpark S9 numbers and after another month probably worse.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Unless price matches difficulty to some level of profit. I suppose it's better to just assume these will be expensive heaters though since it's easier for people to stomach that they will never ROI and never make anything but wind from the d3. Hell why did we buy so many I guess all of us who bought these are just insane fools who love burning money.

Once my hardware is paid for I have absolutely NO problem with S9 profit numbers. I totally agree that that  will be the yardstick for all these Altcoin Algos. It just makes sense.

Yeah or sites like prohashing and zpool for x11 multicoin really pick up favor and deliver something worth putting our money towards. Anyone know if prohashing is stable yet? I remember reading they have gone down month after month.

They did a server upgrade last week. It was all good until then. After the server upgrade it got nasty. Going down 2-3 times a day. They have been stable the last few days but I'm gonna wait until it's been a week or so of stability before going back. At one point the pool was down but the miners were just in limbo and didn't kick over to their failovers. Some miners wasted a few hours just laying there dead in the water with no failover activated. Not sure what happened there.

Is it true that people in China can buy Bitmain products and receive them immediately without the two month wait like everybody else is getting?

Because I think I have some friends in China...

On the Bitmain twitter account some guy said that Bitmain didn't ship out his miner even though he is in China and could practically go and pick it up. I have a feeling that's not the case and Bitmain just goes by the list of who buys first. Remember, they sell by batch and manufacture by batch so they can't just take one out and give it to ya.

Not true. Dont bother.. if you order from china market they have different ship dates than the international batches.
Everybody waits till the estimated shipping dates of the batchs.
But everybody still waits...

United States! I would have been happier with Fedex instead.
