Yes... not very a big deal is it?  Tongue

I really appreciate when others do this. It makes it more readable for everyone.

I really missed this feature and I'm happy to know about it now. Cheesy

Suggestion to all: shrink your pictures with [img width=MAX] and wrap them with a link to the full resolution picture.
1282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 11, 2013, 05:39:24 PM
Yes, it was me. Do you know when people can start using the bank? I haven't seen that anywhere. I imagine this will affect Bitstamp (depending on the interface) as the banking system, as bad as it is, is pretty sound in Germany and I think many people using Bitstamp, have the Slovanian bank they use in the back of their minds.

Sorry, no. I only have the same information as you from bitcoin.de (in English, in German). I didn't do my homework on Fidor Bank also, but I noticed them because of their wide social media marketing some time ago.

Though I emailed Fidor Bank on sunday and asked about Bitcoin. This was without knowing about the bitcoin.de deal and I ask companies regularly about their opinion about Bitcoin. This is what I received:

Quote
Sehr geehrter Herr dexX7,

Dear Mr. dexX7,

thanks for your email and your suggestion.

We are watching the phenomena Bitcoin with much interest. At the moment we evaluate how an integration into our product portfolio could be done. It is therefore not ruled out that there will be Bitcoins at Fidor someday. We are on it...
1283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 11, 2013, 05:29:52 PM
90 is a hard resistance, but I'd say, 90 can be broken soon and somewhere between 78-82 might be the last chance to buy low, if at all.

IAS: I think it was you who responded to the bitcoin.de and Fidor Bank deal. It's even better. This is first direct banking cooperation in the European Bitcoin sector (or worldwide?) and not only in Germany. Smiley Just imagine.. a full blown Bitcoin exchange, backed up by Germany's bank standard. Fast conversation between EUR and BTC, no more waiting time to deposit or withdrawal. The ultimate dream would be a debit card which can be refilled with Bitcoin.. but let's see, how things turn out. Wink
1284  Other / Archival / Re: btt on: July 11, 2013, 04:37:42 PM
Quite likely it is a bubble pumped by irrational investors who are excited about dividend growth but do not understand fundamentals.

To be honest, it was interesting to observe the rise from yesterday, because there was a spread of around 0.5 Bitcoin, but still big money came in. I would never go so far and call someone's investment irrational. I'm pretty sure the buyers knew, what he or she were doing and intended to do so on purpose.

Since my last post in this thread, I watched BASIC-MINER's development closely and I noticed every news post on BTC-TC or better to say, any fundamental change like receiving another Avalon unit, triggered another price rush. Yesterday was interesting, because no news were pushed on BTC-TC, but the announcement of selling 100x AM shares in this thread and the higher dividends might be the cause. I expect another rise after the forth Avalon unit was received.

^ Price was adjusted to Price = Price / 10 before the split, to make the chart consistent.
1285  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange w/ Options, DRIP, 2FA, API, CSV, etc. on: July 11, 2013, 04:27:44 PM
Is there a way to link to the news tab of an issuer directly?
1286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 11, 2013, 02:56:40 AM
Price is falling. Thinking of moving my bids up from $60 to $80.

Grin

What happened and what most likely will continue couldn't be better described as by your comment. People begin to realize, that they might already missed it and higher their bids, which results in an uptrend.
1287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 10, 2013, 09:31:07 PM
Coins in the ask wall going down ,are thay going lower or buy ?

They were bought with money which wasn't on the orderbook. That's a great thing, as it reduced selling but no buying power. At least on the books..
1288  Other / Meta / Re: [SCAM] Ongoing attempt - Phishing link send around in PM, copy of the forum on: July 10, 2013, 09:14:17 PM
Most likely the same. Just look at their posting style. Very short comments and almost everytime something like "that's great" or so. This goes on for weeks now..
1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 10, 2013, 07:23:46 PM

1290  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: July 10, 2013, 05:49:54 PM
Now found some more data: They say that shipment has 135 boxes, almost a million chips.

All 135 parcels were the complete stack of the transportation company. He has received 24 parcels x 6 boxes x up to 2600 chips, but more of them were declared with ~7800 chips per parcel, which is less than half of 6x full boxes with 2600 chips each.. My best guess: somewhere around but higher than 187200 chips or 47.9232 TH/s with stock clocking of 256 MH/s per chip.. Imho he unpacked them yesterday, so they are very fresh and most likely not deployed yet.
1291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This Is How You Can Earn Bitcoins From Dice Games on: July 10, 2013, 05:24:47 PM
Isn't profitable long term, but could be fun, because there is much volatility and it takes some time.

Does Just-Dice provide a high frequency betting interface I didn't notice?

Any thoughts about a good exit-strategy?

After losing 582 simulated Bitcoin, the average number of bets was 156,764, the average longest bet run 27.24 and the average highest balance 6.26276818. The highest reached balance was 481.1572913...  Cheesy

My ruleset:

Code:
Chance to win = 0.3
Payout = 3

Initial Balance = 1.00000000
Initial Betsize = 0.00000001

If Balance < Initial Betsize:
  Stop it, you're broke..

If Last Bet = Won:
Next Betsize = Max(Initial Betsize, Initial Betsize * Balance)

If Last Bet = Lost:
  Next Betsize = Min(Balance, Betsize * 2)
1292  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 40 nm ASIC coming, designed by those claiming to be behind the scene of Avalon on: July 10, 2013, 11:13:25 AM
I do some research
On box is Air Waybill No: 871 5050 8076
http://www.track-shipments.com/track-trace.aspx?pref=AWB&awbno=87150508076]
From PVG (Shanghai Pudong International Airport) to HKG (Hong Kong)
Total 135 pieces.
If on each box QTY 7832 that is 135*7832= 1.057.320 chips.

Good work. The original pictures from this thread provide some EXIF data:

Quote

Pictures were shot between 2013-07-09 18:09:55 - 19:09:25 with a Samsung GT-I9008 and Canon EOS 350D, and modified with ACD Systems Digital Imaging from 2013-07-09 22:07:04 - 22:58:16. I guess the pictures were taken during unpacking. Those 135 parcels were flown from Shanghai to Hong Kong on 2013-06-25 and received by UNI GLORY INTL LOGISTICS. There are two weeks missing, either for further transportation or redistribution.

He received most likely less than 374.400 chips in the last days or possibly hours. The bigger boxes are clearely tagged with "n/24" and thus 24 * 6 * 260 * 10 = 374.400, but on the upper left box is a label with "QTY: 7.834" which is far less than 15.600 per box. One box below: "QTY: 7.815". P/N is maybe "CME3256".

Edit: P/N CME3256 confirmed by barcode.
1293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Gridchip 40nm BTC ASIC chips (btcman) on: July 10, 2013, 09:19:52 AM
*AWESOME PICTURES*

Sorry, do you mind to provide some context for me? I feel kinda lost right now.

OP talks about a team which was part of Avalon's dev crew and plans to release a 40 nm chip and I think you are a board developer for Avalon chips. And you post pictures of a really huge amount of Avalon chips. I don't get the connection, yet..?

I'm sure those aren't Gridchip's 40 nm chips, so my best guess: their are all yours and you do more than delivering PCBs, but complete mining boards. But that would rise the next very important question: did Avalon begin to ship the chips and you already received them? Smiley

Thanks for answering that. Maybe you could enlighten me about the buying wall, too? Wink Seems like there is nothing to trade anymore in BtcTc right now, but a chance to sell or buy for the swap?

Small question without reading through the thread: is that order on 0.002500 of 1.988.133 shares on BtcTc real or just some kind of market maker mechanism to reduce spread?

They are real - they are the latest release of shares from AMC.

Big news for Germany!

Quote

https://www.bitcoin.de/de

They teamed up with a German bank and will announce the name of that bank tomorrow. Contract is signed already.

I guess they turn into a full blown exchange soon instead of their current state as "Bitcoin eBay".

1298  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 09, 2013, 02:49:19 PM
I would say that from June 29 the price is driven by traders/bots. From this moment, they try to make profit from this stock. I think, they can crash it till 3.4. Everything under 3.4 is pretty much bought by investors, 3.4+ is trading. 5+ price was here too soon.

I'd say the mild uptrend was due to the fact, that USB miners are available again.

friedcat has promised me the dispatch of 1,000 units for today

sorry for the lack of updates and PN answers.
But i have atm no time to answer all PNs individually..

to the 1000 units from today, asicminer will likely send another 2,000 tomorrow, and each day after Wink
That is why I stopped working on the timeline after the distribution of the first delivery.

Hope we can switch back to plan A:
Start selling with enough inventory  Smiley

Edit: sorry, completly missed the timeframe you mentioned.
1299  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Find shortest path between two addresses? on: July 09, 2013, 02:07:54 PM
Excactly.  Without having thought it through, what about simply applying Dijkstra's algorithm?  Its complexity (when edges are stored in a heap) is like N log N, where N is the order of magnitude of number of addresses / transactions, which seems feasible to me.  But please correct me if not, as I said, I haven't really thought that through.

Dijkstra's helps to find the shortest path, but I'm not sure if it reduces the complexity at all in this case, because each edge weight is equal and thus there is no path in favor and so we'd start with the source address and visit each neighbor. If target isn't found, we'd need to visit each neighbor of each neighbor. If it's not found, each neighbor of each neighbor of each neighbor and so on. I guess that would take something like E(k^n) = k^0 + k^1 + k^2 ... steps, where k is the number of connections per node and n is the search depth.

O(n*log(n)) (n for comparison, log(n) for going deeper in a tree) is the best possible complexity for searching based on pairwise comparison, but we don't have any attribute like "this tx-path is more likely than the others" to create an order.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, this is all stuff I know only vague about. Smiley
1300  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Find shortest path between two addresses? on: July 09, 2013, 04:21:50 AM
You'd need to walk through each possible path till you find a connection, if any. Quite complex. :/
