1  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: May 28, 2024, 06:47:18 PM
It seems that the performance of the Nigerian board has improved a lot, they now have a board and a local mod so things are moving in the right direction.

Sadly, Brazilian board still the on the "top" smaller merit/post ratio.
I would definitely want another merit source there...

I will give it a look in addition to Indian board.
2  Other / Meta / Re: Application for Merit Source - TheUltraElite on: May 28, 2024, 04:40:54 AM
@logfiles, there is no official mother tongue in India, we all have our own regional languages but English is spoken by most of us and hence we converse in that. This is both a boon and bane in the context of being in this forum.
It seems logical, but it is as if you want to be a global merit source to support your local board.

I want to ask in this thread and for anyone, don't be too serious. Have you ever felt that it is very difficult to get merit and think something is wrong that is happening?
It depends on where you post and how good your posts are, but it is normal not to get merits for a week and then 10 merits so As long as the long-term trend is ease of rank-up, I donít think there is a problem.

I support your application, but if you want to be a LB merit source, it is better to quote the 10 posts from that local board.

I remember that someone PM me about Indianís board merit problem , and until anew merit source chosen, you can quote links to the best 10 posts on a weekly or monthly basis and send them to me.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why will the number of bitcoins[btc] in circulation be limited to 21 million ??? on: May 27, 2024, 09:24:37 AM
In fact, it is not 21 million, but rather the results from this equation

This will answer your question: Why less than 21? However, if your question was about limited supply, perhaps the reason was what happened in 2008, the debt crisis, and the random printing of money.
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is KUCOIN in trouble? on: May 27, 2024, 08:25:02 AM
Indeed, after a long wait, it has finally resumed services here in my country again following local regulations which forced them to enforce TDS on every transaction we made mainly on P2P and sell orders. But I know this resulted in many of us shifting to other major alternatives like Bitget, Bybit, Gate etc. These are very user-friendly with huge volumes.
When the platform turns to mandatory KYC exchange, it loses the advantage of being a global exchange that everyone can use, and therefore they must compete with local platforms and other KYCed exchanges.
KUCOIN can compete during a bull market, but when the crypto winter comes, they may not be in a good position, so it is best to avoid trading with large amounts and withdraw your profits on an almost daily basis.
7  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: تعود الورقة البيضاء الخاصة بالبيتكوين إل on: May 26, 2024, 08:22:42 AM

8  Economy / Exchanges / Re: There's Something About This New Crop of CEOs... on: May 26, 2024, 08:16:08 AM
CZ was always trying to be the focus of controversy, not Binance, so that his picture topped the lists of newspapers and news, just like Justin Sun, so the new CEO must be weak in character and rarely appear or declare to the media.
In the end, as an investor or as a person who used Binance, I look for the success of the platform, not the success of the CEO, and as long as Binance is still successful and generating revenues, what is the problem?
9  Other / Meta / Re: Some people that left this forum recently on: May 26, 2024, 07:49:59 AM
I don't have a list, but a few signature services were paying more than $200 per month, and the problem currently is not that mixers are banned, but rather that there are no signature campaigns other than gambling, which often focus on ad impressions more than the quality of posts, so you see most campaigns paying less than $100 but it employs more than 30 members.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC/SAT/μBTC/mBTC on: May 25, 2024, 08:18:06 AM
Most of these units are general units, as μ, m, K, and others are used in most measurement methods and to abbreviate zeros, and therefore the only important conversion is Bitcoin to Satoshi and vice versa.
Overall a good effort.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: participating in the forum in order to be able to access campain in the future on: May 25, 2024, 08:08:36 AM
How many languages do you speak? I see that you post in PortuguÍs, German and English, so your chance of collecting more merit is greater than others.
You can get an average of $50 to $120 per week, and if you are distinguished, you may earn up to $300 per month. If you keep these coins for several years, ROI may be greater.

anyway +2 Merit
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins on Bitcoin blockchain, new crowd in announcement? on: May 24, 2024, 06:24:07 AM
The beginning of stablecoins was on the Omni Layer, which was a Bitcoin transaction except that it represented USDT value, and many stopped using USDT on Bitcoin blockchain due to high transaction fees, so I do not think that returning again to the Bitcoin blockchain would be beneficial.

The report above talked about test transaction on the Lightning Network using Taproot Assets protocol, and therefore it is similar to L-USDT Liquid-based Tether, and its impact on increasing bitcoin fees will be low (Lightning Network transactions will increase, which require two onchain transactions).
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List Of The Longest Forum Signature Campaign Above 100wk That Left/Still Active on: May 24, 2024, 06:09:49 AM
Does this mean that it wasn't a manager that counted and processed the payments. And why do you think that nowadays campaign stopped the idea of automated payment?
In 2018 it was easy and fun. There were not many restrictions and merit system was in the early days. I was lucky because I joined CM as soon as I reached SR rank, so I imagine it was much easier in 2016 and 2014 as there were no standards for high-quality posts and the forum was the only place for these projects to advertise, so they did not care about the quality of the posts.

The only thing that everyone was afraid of was ignore lists and ban lists, where campaign managers prepare black lists[1] that prevent you from participating. If your name is not on those lists, your chance of earning is guaranteed.

These lists may be the reason why so many alt accounts are created. Grin

14  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best way to protect your Bitcoins wallet on: May 24, 2024, 05:58:14 AM
1, the best way to secure your keys is to combine cold and hot wallet uses so that only the cryptocurrency you need at the moment is in the connected wallet.
How will you combine cold and hot wallet? Because the moment your wallet is connected to the Internet, we cannot say that it is cold storage.

The only way for this to be acceptable is to create the private keys yourself, but in this case, why use an exchange, as centralized exchanges do not allow this.

3, some exchange provide institutional_level secure cold data storage for user's kes, but some critics advise against this method.

15  Other / Meta / Re: Wouldn't it be nice for edited posts to reflect on wherever it was quoted? on: May 24, 2024, 05:48:18 AM
This feature may be abused. It is best that if text is quoted from the forum and modified, the color of the link changes to red. Then it will be easy to distinguish between the quote and the modified quote.
16  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Swap Cab on: May 23, 2024, 08:11:13 AM
I liked that you included the "Affilate system" option on the GitHub page and added it to your website page under "using it you are supporting my work"
I respect your experience, but please review ChangeHero's 5-star rating despite the many scam reports against them.
Dividing the list into P2P and Automatic separately would be better.

Other than that, all great, good job.
17  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SwapTo.Cash - is your reliable partner in the world of cryptocurrencies! on: May 23, 2024, 07:54:36 AM

Quite unprofessional and frivolous. I also see that many pages on their site go to a blank page or have no content. A very bad way to introduce a business for the first time.
I already tagged @ex7.io but since SwapTo.Cash is not working let's wait what will happens.
18  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum getting worse and worse? on: May 22, 2024, 10:06:38 AM
The answer to this question will be determined by new advertisers. If there is no interest in the forum, the value of the forum will certainly have declined.

So long as theymos continues paying the bills and keeping the lights on, the forum will remain the foremost repository for Bitcoin-related information; especially from a historical standpoint. Not to mention the plethora of luminaries and legends that have created accounts and posted here over the years.
So what will happen to the forum's reserves if there is no continuous development? +500 Bitcoin is enough to make the forum better.

I may ask him about this soon.
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List Of The Longest Forum Signature Campaign Above 100wk That Left/Still Active on: May 22, 2024, 09:53:11 AM
In the past, most signature campaigns were paid in Bitcoin, and we did not hear about paying for $ per post until after 2020, so it is difficult to guess how much they pay, but few campaigns exceeded 100 weeks and 50 BTC.
Bitmixer was the longest campaign that decided to voluntarily stop , and some of the campaigns had automated payment so that payment was made for each post and not weekly.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] Share your best local board posts/topics on: May 21, 2024, 09:26:01 AM
Although this is not a discussion thread but it's good to see that this thread is back again. However you are doing well to distribute merits to unmerited posts that worth meriting. The new rules looks good because there is another thread by fillippone that allows only 5 posts links to be submitted. like this one.
Yes, tracking 10 posts is tiring my eyes out.
Entries must be from local board only.
