281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help me to understand Security breach with cryptocurrency on: April 10, 2018, 10:16:38 AM
Security breaches happen in every computer system, this has nothing specifically to do with Bitcoin or blockchain.

Bitcoin is secure and decentralized, it never suffered a significant attack.

News you have been hearing about refer to single central entities like centralized exchanges and online wallets.
They have nothing to do with Bitcoin except that they use it as everyone else, but when they get hacked hackers take their bitcoins.
Not much more to it really.

Just like robbery of some bank doesn't have anything to do with the currency that was stolen, security breaches have nothing to do with Bitcoin.

YOU WANT TO MAKE PEACE WITH THE NAZIS? THE SOVIETS? who else? forgive the rapists? and maybe censor speech? fuck that, let's burn the pharaos, his palace, his offsprings, his sugar babes, all his slaves... and send egypt underwater. no mercy.

It isn't mercy that I am advising, it is a sense of mind to understand that these people aren't incompetent.
If it was mercy that stopped these wars from happening in the first place, we would already be in war.
There is a reason people don't act so stupid and attack anyone they disagree with.
You aren't the only smart one, you are the one that doesn't understand the arsenal these people have.

You want to give your life for nothing, go ahead, but don't call for people to lose theirs and their children's for your ideology.
War is not naive, death is a certainty.
283  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are we heading towards war - Is Russia that Stupid? on: April 09, 2018, 07:05:57 PM
Hello, Russia repeats the error of fascism.
And it is very a pity that the rest of the countries still hope to resolve the conflict through political negotiations. How much more in history do human victims need to understand and start more aggressive responses from Russia?

How many nuclear wars would you need to understand that war only means death for everyone?
You think you can just go around starting wars and think the other side will just fall like that.
They will wipe you, everything you knew and loved and the whole World with it if they need to.

There is a reason nobody didn't attack North Korea by now and it isn't because they are all somehow stupid.
It because even a small and undeveloped country like NK can do enough damage that it makes it all useless.
Try that with Russia and in 15 minutes you will have every single part of the globe bombarded with thousands of nuclear warheads before you can even turn on the TV to tell you to kiss your loved ones and say farewell.

Don't be so naive to think that somehow all that you hold dear can't evaporate tomorrow if you step out of line.
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are we heading towards war - Is Russia that Stupid? on: April 09, 2018, 06:47:04 PM
I would say that anyone who falls for any government's narrative is stupid.
There is never just one bad guy, things are a lot more complicated than that.

There will only be war if both sides want it, there is never only one side to blame for war.

I am not saying Russia isn't responsible for these things, they very well could be, but you have to understand that these things can be seen as absolutely negligible to the things both sides do. I don't know who is responsible for these things, but I do know that this is almost certainly just an excuse for the actions that governments wanted to do anyways.

There are millions dead as a result of War on Terror,. There are absolute monarchies like Saudia Arabia that still exist in the World and are largely supported by many developed nations. There is spying done to top government officials on both sides. Spying on them and on citizens.
There are elections rigged in middle east by very developed countries, there have been for decades.
There have been human rights violations that continue to this day for years, despite the ruling of United Nations on both sides.
And last, but not least, there are millions dieing every single year by easily preventable diseases in Africa where lives can be saved by a very very small fractions of what is spent on the military on both sides.

There are plenty of horrible things wrong with this World and politicians will only pick to scream about those that are in their interest.
Don't think they care about anyone, but themselves. This is a job for them, they earn money and constantly need it to keep ahead of their very strong competition. Their lives aren't easy because the system is very cruel, but you need to remember as a voter that they don't give even slightest care about you and that you know absolutely nothing about them, their intentions and where their money comes from. They can and will turn on you whenever there are few bucks in doing so and they have to, otherwise they lose their jobs to someone who will.

When one side says it is because of democracy, chemical weapons or anything else, know that it is a lie.
It is money and power, it always is, history always shows that.

It is politicians to blame for all of these. Politicians on both sides and no country in particular. They are all as bad and corrupt as they can afford to be, you really can't blame one side and cheer for the other. In every conflict you will lose. More of a conflict there is, more the civilians suffer. It has always been like this.

Don't trust any of them and think only on how to achieve peace and peace is always achieved with mutual understanding and never with war.
If you want to help yourself, take away as much of power from these people as you can and learn as much from the other side as you can.
They all have their own problems and it is never in theirs interest to hurt you, the World is too cruel on it's own to fight against each other.
285  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transactions per second with the Lightning Network? on: April 09, 2018, 06:23:39 PM
There will be as many transactions as we need, LN isn't really limited in this manner.

The question still only remains on how many on-chain transactions we will need, but we will have to wait to see that.
My guess is, not very much.
286  Other / Meta / Re: Serbian local board application on: April 09, 2018, 06:18:44 PM
Probably yes. They are in EU and they have some bigger right at the moment other thing is that they got it and we dont. How much it will be that is another topic they dont have much activity they had it when it was announced but lately they dont have that much. Hopefully this will might be good for our effort.

I guess we will just have to wait 10 years for Serbia to enter EU and in the meantime admins might respond and tell us to use the same Croatian board that will be renamed to Ex-Yugoslavia-n or something.
287  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Is this a good DEX Idea? on: April 09, 2018, 06:09:51 PM
As far as I know tether is also pretty centralized.
Decentralized exchanges like Bisq makes most sense to me.
288  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system and Forum rank on: April 08, 2018, 10:53:40 AM
I am not sure if I understand your first question, but the second one is a genuine and known concern. I assume selling merit will result in negative trust feedback, but it will probably not result in users losing their rank.

If you are asking on how did the merit system affect higher rank users, well, it depends.
Legendary members are obviously not affected by this in a negative way at all, since they can't rank up anyway.
As for Hero and Senior members, they got some merit in the begging, but it made it very very hard for them to rank up further.

Closer you were to ranking up, more negatively did the merit system impact you.
If you were a week or two away from ranking up, like I was, then a sudden requirement of needing 150 merits slowed down your ranking up a lot.
I was lucky to get the merits I did, but I still haven't ranked up since the merit system was introduced.
289  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are best and cheapest hosting and domain provider? on: April 08, 2018, 10:44:51 AM
I use Namecheap, since they accept Bitcoin and sell domains and vps.
290  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Can a fork fix the problem of possible price manipulation? on: April 08, 2018, 10:42:17 AM
I was wondering if forking could prevent a possible price manipulation of Bitcoin?

I really don't see how this could prevent it. Whoever is manipulating the price will move to this fork alongside the rest of the users.

As for Bitcoin's deflationary tendency in the long run, I don't know how this would help against price manipulation either.
Deflation would be pretty small, only due to people losing access to the bitcoins and the amount of bitcoins in circulation would stay pretty stable over time.

Bitcoin doesn't necessarily have to be the same as it was inteded. It is ok to innovate and it is ok to address any possible problems or concerns we didn't know about in the past. But discussion about this isn't really useful, since we couldn't stop it from evolving even if we wanted to.
There will always be forks and there will always be new implementations, we can only hope that majority will pick the best.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can address be hidden? on: April 07, 2018, 03:12:21 PM
Hello.
Bitcoin and crypto currencies are well known for its security.
I also agree on it as no third party is required and also because it is based on P2P transaction.
But, what if some one knows our wallet address because I once sent him some bitcoins.
And after some time, he was willing to hurt me if I send some btc to one of my friend [his enemy]?
It happened with me.
He knows my address and will hurt me if I send any coins from my wallet to any other wallet.
He started checking my recent transactions and will ask me to whom I send bitcoin and why?
Is there any way we can hide our wallet?
But, it will create problem in transactions, right?

Other than the fact that I think you might need to call police, I have another suggestion for you.
You can tell your friend that your wallet was hacked or that you decided to send your BTC to a new address for security reasons.
Since you already sent BTC from that address before, your public key is on the blockchain now.
In case there are quantum computers big enough to break your key or that public key cryptography is broken in the future, your bitcoins would not be as safe as they would if you sent them to a new address.

This new address can be of your friend and he could send you change on some other Bitcoin address your other friend doesn't know about.
That is if you trust that friend and doesn't want to give him all of your bitcoins from that address.

You could do some other stuff as well, of course, but all of it will be obvious that you moved those bitcoins.
Blockchain simply needs to know if some address has bitcoins to spend or not. (not literaly but close enough)

Lightning network is already being considered safe enough to be used on mainnet and I think there is a new Eclair Android app for LN.
This is a good excuse to lock your funds in a payment channel and use it to send your friend some bitcoins with basically no fee.
Your other friend will see that your bitcoins are locked in a payment channel (if he knows what that looks like), but he will not be able to see whether or not you spent some of your bitcoins and where they went. Only upon closing a channel there will be obvious lack of funds, but still no known destination for them . You don't need however to ever close your payment channels if you don't want to.

You could also, of course, use an excuse that you want to switch to a new bech address format and have cheaper transactions in the future.
And send your bitcoins to your firend's bech address.
292  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Is it right to kill a violent burglar? on: April 06, 2018, 11:03:29 AM
I don't think it is right to kill anyone, but I don't think you can blame someone for defending themselves either.

In my opinion, if a person violently entered your home, it shouldn't be punished with jail time if you kill them.
You can't be at fault for not willing to risk your's and your families lives.

Old dude shouldn't go to jail for this. Give him some fine, sure.
Just so he knows you can't just kill someone and have no cost or consequences for it.
But he isn't really at fault here. This should be a legal decision someone can make.

Pozdrav svima, jeste da je BTC u padu ali ova tabela koju je objavio CEO Binance-a govori zašto ne bi trebali da brinemo za njegovu cijenu.

Ne brinem se ja za cenu BTC-a Cheesy

You would think such a big company knows to which countries they can ship to.
295  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that Jack Dorsey (twitter CEO) is an enemy of the human race? on: April 05, 2018, 06:41:05 PM
Okay... would you death penalty those who rape your loved ones? or you will be kind and forgiving? your choice, it doesn't matter, one kill, and it's done.

Of course I am not perfect and always objective. I make mistakes, I feel anger.
I don't believe those people should be killed, I think they should go to jail, but not killed.
That doesn't mean I could resist the urge of course, I know my limits, I am still human.
I would never forgive them of course, I don't know if I could stop myself from hurting them.
296  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that Jack Dorsey (twitter CEO) is an enemy of the human race? on: April 05, 2018, 04:35:27 PM
Well, I don't believe in death penalty.

yes, I agree twitter is only used by the lowest form of human life.

I didn't say that. All kinds of people use twitter, especially people with public lives, celebrities, political activists, etc.
I am sure you can find at least one person you respect that has a verified twitter account.

would you let usama ben laden too have his website in the usa?

Of course. This is what freedom of speech is. You let people have their own websites where they can put their own views, ideas, suggestions, rants.
I think you have a right to call for murder and I believe others should too. Committing it should be illegal, not discussing it.
297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bible downloads banned in China on: April 05, 2018, 04:20:54 PM
I don't think government should have anything to do with religion.
Not regulating it, not give it tax brakes, nothing.
298  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that Jack Dorsey (twitter CEO) is an enemy of the human race? on: April 05, 2018, 04:12:08 PM
I sense a lot of hate. Dude, chill out. I am sure he is doing what he believes is a right thing to do.
It is his job, he owns that website (or at least he is responsible for it). If he thinks he needs to remove certain things from his site, it is his right to do so and your right not to use it.

We just shouldn't give any benefits to Twitter that we wouldn't give to it's competition, that is all.
Twitter is a really unprofitable website ( I heard) and it is having more and more trouble staying alive.
I am sure it's executives are desperate to do anything in panic to try to save their dying company.

300  Other / Serious discussion / Re: technology and technology blockchain on: April 04, 2018, 01:38:53 PM
I doubt any of these new technologies will be used in future.
It is really hard to predict how these things will work out in the future and what we will use and in what way.

It is very rarely that new technology replaces the old in such a 1 to 1 manner as this picture suggests.
There were many different Internet protocols for news and messaging in the past, but we all ended up mostly using one HTTP website for all of this.

Future is really foggy to look at. All of this might be a lot simpler in the future than we can see now.
