162  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption? on: January 15, 2018, 02:55:46 PM
Now that governments have a competitor in terms of currencies, do you think that they will make an effort to make the economic system more transparent or will they just try to ban everything?

Well, the government all around the world has it's own ways of manipulating or regulating certain currencies. Sadly, some of them corrupts it. And most of the government doesn't want to recognize bitcoin maybe for the reason of reducing the opportunities for them to corrupt again and again. So in line with the idea of using cryptocurrency, one of the highest asset of it being transparent with any transactions, the government might ban bitcoin hence, they will do their best as well to be transparent about their currencies.

166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever borrowed fiat to get btc? on: January 09, 2018, 02:09:27 PM
Whether it be buying btc or buying equipment to mine btc. Did you ever borrow fiat to make your purchase? I have not. Just curious if anyone ever has.

Of course, others have done this because they really want to earn big time most especially around December 2017. But as for me, I didn't. I just use my personal fiat and invested it in bitcoin. I just use small money though and I don't need to borrow anymore for it.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: lest we forget, Bitcoin is a blessing. on: January 09, 2018, 09:21:12 AM
Bitcoin has pass through many stage, limitations, attack and forks issue but its price keep on increasing from inception till now. At this time Last year bitcoin price was $450 but today it is $1245 that was over 180% increment in just a year. This is what we call blessing, that is making progress in the face of strong opposition!!

Bitcoin became a blessing indeed to many especially last 2017. We have to be grateful about it. Now, that a lot of people withdraw and just pulled out a lot of their investment in bitcoin because of the holiday season, it is not also the reason not to believe on bitcoins capability to rise stronger this year.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin illegal in Nepal on: January 09, 2018, 09:04:42 AM
National Bank of Nepal Deems Bitcoin Exchange Operations “Illegal,” While the CIB Police Force Arrest Seven Exchange Operators

Source :- https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-illegal-in-nepal-police-arrest-seven-individuals-for-trading-operations/

Another sad news. However, we cannot force people to do so. In any changes, it is not that easy for people for adopting new ideas or initiatives. Nepal may look at it as illegal for now but in due time, bitcoin will be widely accepted if all the developers of it will strive harder for people to embrace it.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop? on: January 09, 2018, 05:01:50 AM
Usually you earn tokens worth very little with airdrops (but you don't need to do actual work). Bounties it depends, I have earned very little sometimes (worthless) or I have been pleasingly surprised with more than USD 500 worth of tokens. I only do bounties for projects I like and invest myself, it is a way to earn more tokens you like on top of your investment, like the cream on top of the pie.

I have the same thought with you. I do bounties more than airdrops since bounties are usually done in projects and this could earn better than anything. However, waiting for it is a little way beyond how we think of the waiting time of earning in bitcoin. Bounty takes more time but it is worth it.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine Bitcoin recognized around the world. on: January 09, 2018, 04:54:15 AM
Do you think there will be a chance that bitcoin will be recognized by all people around the world? If so, what would you contribute for the success of bitcoin in adapting human culture?

A chance for bitcin to be recognised by all the people around the world could take time. As bitcoin circulates for almost ten years, there is still more to go for more people to adopt and recognise for various transactions. Trust must be generally built that bitcoin can last and perform well in the next years to come.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin Down? on: January 09, 2018, 04:26:12 AM
The bitcoin is down just as how other investments, it is normal for the market to go up and go down as well. And as we invest, we should believe on it on a long term period. It is going down as well I think because many are scared are pulling out their investment on it for the fear of losing their resources.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ? on: January 09, 2018, 04:00:47 AM
Very recently I read an article , which assumed bitcoins to be exactly like the Dutch tulip mania , the Mississippi bubble and the south sea bubble.

The author of that article (which was published in the economic times ) said it's now time to move away from bitcoins , the market has ended and the sooner you forfeit the lesser will be your loss.

What do you guys think about it ?

To say whether it is the end of bitcoin or this is like with any other bubble, we can't say yet until it finally fall. However, that is not our hope. Our hope is that bitcoin will continue for it has helped many to generate their income to help their family.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: How bitcoin can help for working abroad specially OFW on: January 09, 2018, 03:43:54 AM
Bitcoin/Coins.ph are so many way to make our life easier specially for OFW.
*They can use it to remit a money for their family in Philippines in a very convenient.
*Bitcoin is also way to earn extra money by using earning some satoshi or faucet.
Please share more on how bitcoin can help.

I could agree well on this. Those OFWs can put their money on their bitcoin wallet and use it for remittances or sending bitcoins for their family and loved ones. Then their loves are those that will just translate it to cash since there are still many stores in the Philippines that can't use bitcoin for transaction. Bitcoin could also help OFWs on investing their money to earn more of it.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: January 08, 2018, 03:52:44 AM
In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.

This can be a possible state for now. However, things are still uncertain. It is better to still keep some of your bitcoin and invest on alternative coins like Ethereum if you prefer this way as well. In every investment, we always have to think long term as well as with risks that can be involved.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If ETH price exceed the BTC's on: January 07, 2018, 01:50:38 PM
I am so curious that if Eth price overcome Btc's, what will happen in crypto world?

Etherium price exceeding bitcoin price in the future could not be impossible. Ethereum has learned a lot bitcoin hurdles and most probably bitcoin can lose it's value over Ethereum especially on the people who use crytocurrency. However, we may not know. Things changes easily.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding will be a risk or not?? on: January 07, 2018, 11:24:21 AM
From the very start you actually believed and invest on bitcoin, the have already started. The same principle as you invest your resources to other crytocurrencies or stuff, risk is always involve. Holding your bitcoin is absolutely fine depending on the state of your courage and preference. At the end of the day, it is still up to you.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin affecting the Environment on: January 02, 2018, 11:56:41 PM
If you take a look at the coinmarketcap.com chart you will see that the crypto currency market cap is continuously increasing at currently $660 billion! Yes, bitcoin is affecting the environment and you can easily see this in the online gambling industry where customers use it to easily deposit and withdraw to and from online gambling sites. However, bitcoin's dominance decreased recently to only 37% and I assume that it will dicrease further to only 20 or even less per cent. Hence there wil be other coins also affecting the environment.

Yeah i agree with you not only in the gambling people adopting bitcoin are now focusing how to agin in cryptocurrency using modern techonology learning and learning until got the success, bitcoin giving people the direction how to become have better life.

And as bitcoin continuously give a better option of who we can live our lives through the income we earn, this could not escape the reality that bitcoin is also affecting the environment. Ofcourse technology has been a big factor since then but let's that this will not go father from what we expect.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 was not my year in bitcoin world... and yours? on: January 02, 2018, 04:09:03 PM
As the title says... realize this year that i missed the bitcoin train and it feels like i was to late for everything. On every airdrop this year i was to late, not accept because of my bitcointalk account was to low or because i have no twitter account and so on. How was your year in the bitcoin world? Hope it was better than my. Cheers to the new bitcoin elite out there. Wink
Sorry for my spelling mistakes. Im a litte bit tipsy. Wink

Anyway people, have a good new year and celebrate it. If you feel good, send me a tip... Just kidding, i will never begging here Wink
Party on, garth Wink

2017 somehow is a year of bitcoin for me. This year I have not just earned but I also gained a lot of confidence to work on it. I have learned much as well and I also enjoyed discovering much of it and how it will be profitable for me from time to time.
179  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 will be “The Year of the Cryptocurrency Craze”!!!! on: January 02, 2018, 04:02:11 PM
according to Scott Rosenberg.

So well, what is going to happen in 2018???
Bitcoin boom is in the spotlights as well as wars...

2018 will be “the year of the cryptocurrency craze”!!!!

This could be really possible. Crytocurrency is becoming more and more familiar to many and many are now using it not just bitcoin but even alternative currencies. Bitcoin might really boom in the spotlights because of those who continuously believe in it.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saved my year on: January 01, 2018, 04:48:46 PM
I started 2017 broke and with a very low wage. My girlfriend also broke up with me in the beginning of the year.
Although I had committed some trade mistakes I was able to get 400% gains, thanks to btc.  This gave me hope and made my year a lot better.
I wonder how many people bitcoin "saved" this year, even preventing some suicides maybe.

Bitcoin have saved me from losing resources especially on my out of the country travels for leisure with my friends. This has helped me add some of my allowance I can use for my expenses. Bitcoin have saved my allowances and helped me experience financial freedom on that moment from what I gained.
