121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on the new merit system? on: January 30, 2018, 06:21:41 PM
Well the new merit system for me is absolutely fine. Though this could be more challenging for the members to rank up, this will surely help the whole bitcointalk community even more as the members also post more quality posts and not just spam posts all around. Exchanging of thoughts and idea will become more beneficial for everybody.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $500 Portofolio on: January 30, 2018, 11:09:32 AM
My $500 portfolio picks would be -
BTC - $200
ETH - $150
XMR - $50
LTC - $50
NEO - $50

Same thought in this. You may want also consider Waves and the newest ICO, BitcoinWhite. Read their whitepaper and you'll be surprised of what the future holds in these bounties. Bitcoin is a little expensive so I suggest buy the new ICOs with great potential to increase it's value.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: January 30, 2018, 10:45:38 AM
Where do you find interesting ICO or crypto projects to invest ? Here on bitcointalk announcements or on other websites related to new ICO  announcements !

There are interesting ways on how you can find a good ICO. Ofcourse here at bitcointalk you can see those in the annoucements. There are also ideas which you can at the websites. Better to read further including the whitelist so you where is in your interest as well. A sample ICO must be interesting for me but for others is not. So I encourage you to read.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers? on: January 30, 2018, 10:15:00 AM
Being afraid of them will just paralize you and me if we keep on thinking of it. What I'm saying is, better to have safety precautions like making sure to browse in secured setup. Also, be careful of clicking unknown sites. Don't put your passwords wherever. Keep everything secured and private. Be mindful of your transactions as well.
125  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 25, 2018, 04:30:03 AM

Trivia:

For current members, your initial merit score is equal to the minimum required to your rank. Of that, a certain amount (less than the usual half) is spendable. The spendable amount was calculated based on your current rank and the number of activity points you earned in the last year.

So much grateful for it. Thanks for being fair to all the members here who worked hard on making sure they rank up accordingly. Also, the Merit and new rank requirement is a good avenue for the whole forum community to have a better and healthy exchanging of ideas and not just sharing a blabber all around. This will surely empower the members to produce quality posts over time. This will also for sure encourage highly educated people to join the forum since they don't just see low-quality posts.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: January 24, 2018, 02:26:22 PM
Eventhough Ripple is gaining it's market value, it doesn't mean that reaching 10,0000$ could be easy as that in 2020. Again, predicting the market can be an roller coaster journey. You may not really know what's gonna happen. Also, we know for sure that Ripple is not a crypto currency. It is not as liquid like the other altcoins.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to leave Altcoin in Exchange on: January 24, 2018, 12:42:50 PM
If you are not sure about it, better not to leave your cryptos in exchange. Better to keep them witb you first. There a lot of people who have already said that it is not safe.
128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to Buy bitcoin? on: January 24, 2018, 12:04:32 PM
The best time to buy to bitcoin is when the price of bitcoin is low. Nowadays basically is the best time to buy it since the impact of people withdrawing great of amount of bitcoin happened during the holiday season. In few weeks or months time, the price will go back higher again.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchanges! on: January 24, 2018, 11:38:06 AM
There a lot of them. You exchange your crytocurrencies on the following:

Kucoin, Binance, Polo, Bitfinex and Bittrex.
Bittrex is a recommended one for it serves well the purpose of exchanging cryptos. It caters a lot of it as well.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your top 3 alt coins to invest in? on: January 24, 2018, 11:27:51 AM
Although there abrupt highs and lows nowadays happening regarding the cryptocurrencies, people will not stop of investing to altcoins. As for me Ethereum is worth it to invest your money with. Waves is also a considerable one because of it's uniqueness and how people are accepting it. Lastly, Litecoin. There are also a loud noise saying the bitcoinwhite could of be a great potential.
131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening to Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2018, 11:22:25 AM
Bitcoin is taking a huge plunge!
Are you guys selling to be safe, or still hodl in the hope it will go up again?

Selling some of it could be a good choice and holding some can be practical. However this depends on an individuals' preferences whether he is good to risk or not. Whatever is happening to bitcoin now just happened last year. So instead of being scared and immediately selling it, hold and buy some more.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The END is NEAR! on: January 24, 2018, 11:14:12 AM
Yes, the END of cheap, great quality crypto is NEAR.

Once Amazon.com adopts crypto, the masses will fully awaken, and will come pouring in. Get your crypto now, my timeline says in February Amazon will launch something MAJOR, and this article supports my conclusion:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-22/could-amazon-be-gearing-cryptocurrency-exchanges

Once the largest American online retailer fully supports crypto, the FUD will no longer be as effective in tanking the markets.... you will never again see a time to buy such great quality crypto.

Many look forward in this hope that cryto will reign. This could be an amazing time that we expect on February especially when Amazon starts to use crytocurrencies in letting the market buy their products. This could sure aware all the more the people globally the great possibilities of cryptos to impact the world market.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SOUTH KOREA BACK IN THE GAME? 24.2% isn't too bad on: January 24, 2018, 11:08:50 AM
Well that could be a good sign that crytocurrency is being adopted by people around the world. Since South Korea is a first world country like Japan, this could be a future for many like us who believe in crypto world. As South Korea is back in the game now, I'm sure there will be more countries who'll follow.
134  Other / Archival / Re: Are you worried? on: January 24, 2018, 09:37:57 AM
Since the market is going down and down are you worried about your Bitcoin? I saw someone asking what to do with his/her bitcoin? S/he has 12 bitcoin. What are you doing with your bitcoin?

Worrying about your bitcoin balance will not lead you to anything. Better not to check the value of it and watch it from time to time. It will be back to normal soon. Just HOLD it for now. That's the best approach for it.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japan's largest bank Mitsubishi UFJ to release their own crypto. on: January 24, 2018, 08:06:31 AM
So this got me thinking why wouldn't all other financial institutions & companies create their own crypto instead of buying into existing and expensive cryptocurrencies? For example for privacy & security why couldn't the Swiss Bank create their own private cryptocurrency instead of using DASH or MONERO? Or logistics & supply chain related cryptos Vechain/Wabi/Walton why wouldn't multi-national companies just create their own? Or even IoT, AI related cryptos like Cindicator, Deepbrainchain, IOTA, why couldn't IBM or Google create their own instead of buying already expensive and inflated cryptos?

This is an amazing news though. This shows that a bank institution is capable of doing their own cryptocurrency. Though Japan has been really good in adopting new ideas or they have this attributes of continuously improving things, we can say that Japan is really eligible for doing this so.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Alts In Red Again? on: January 24, 2018, 07:52:33 AM
2-3 Days back we saw the huge dip in all cryptos, later market recovered a little bit but right now market is in red again!

Just like the other investments like stocks, the market always changes. The same as your investment with cryptocurrencies or alts, the market can be red again. This is a normal state. Better to continuously hold. Do a lot of research and know where you invested your resources and be vigilant enough.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when btc will go 10x in value does this mean my alts go too ? on: January 24, 2018, 07:26:43 AM
that is my question.

It really depends. Bitcoin is definitely independent from any altcoins. Though they are all cryptocurrencies, this doesn't mean that whatever the bitcoin's movement, that will be the same for other crytos. There are instances that Altcoins are really pumping but bitcoin's value is getting lower. So it depends and it's a case to case basis.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Down down we go. on: January 24, 2018, 07:01:17 AM
As the cryptocurrency goes down, it is normal for people to have panic selling. However, the best approach for it as many real believers of cryptocurrency do is to hold their cryptos and buy for more while the price is low. This times basically tests who really believes or not.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the most stable altcoin? on: January 24, 2018, 03:21:06 AM
Aside ofcourse of having bitcoin that increased an amazing value, I could say that one of the most stable altcoin is Ethereum. Litecoin as well is becoming stable however Ripple doing good according to market cap. See coinmarketcap.com for reference.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i think to store my salary in crypto wallets. it's good or bad decision? on: January 23, 2018, 08:42:33 AM
Hi,
i convert to my salary into xrp and it store in ripple wallet every month for (i expect) one year. it is good or bad decision? i think XRP hit $100 in near future

I have thought the same too before. However, when you do it you should also consider the risky side of it. Meaning, the value of the specific crypto you want to put your money to is not that really big and it can depreciate the value of your money. However, it could be also a good way to make a valuable asset to earn over time. To be safer on it, do not put all your salary in your crypto wallet.
