1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Ico's work ? on: October 23, 2017, 10:28:22 PM
Having to focus on ICOs of altcoins is actually another area very good you can earn good cash. But just like stated, one needs quite some time to really read through their whitepaper. There you get to fully understand what the projects are all about and the people behind the project. You can also visit threads and social media platforms to check and see the Attitude of buyers of the ICO. This can help tell if the ICO will be a success or not.
1962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: October 23, 2017, 10:18:13 PM
I did follow the queue in the understanding that bitcoin was the first birth Cryptocurrency made popular; like whenever or wherever Cryptocurrency is mentioned, bitcoin immediately comes to mind. As the times as gone by and is still going, more value is being placed on the coin and this helps strengthen the coin. The popularity keeps on making the gap between the altcoins farther. Just having an understanding that Cryptocurrency is bitcoin.
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that digital currencies will replace Fiat? on: October 23, 2017, 10:12:21 PM
I know it may not be possible right now, but do you think fiat will be gone in the future?

I strongly believe that the digital currency can and with take over the place of fiat. We are now in the new age and it's the way of the future where we are already threading. Just like you mentioned, it is with time and it is creeping in gradually. Some countries are already accepting it while others are fighting against it; fighting against technology. The best in which my country is adopting is to set up a committee to investigate into Cryptocurrency and see  how the government can benefit from it and make the best out of it.
1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: October 21, 2017, 10:33:02 PM
Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh

It is a good idea and worth buying down now for one's children. By the time it becomes globally accepted, one's children are also relevant. Also, one can have it in  reputable Investments too, so as Bitcoin is increasing in vallue, so also with the investment. As real estates and other like investment is applicable today, so will the bitcoin investment/invest will be releven
1965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as the currency of the future? on: October 21, 2017, 10:22:45 PM
I see that the more bitcoin the more users seen from the significantly increased bitcoin price increase, is this a sign that bitcoin will soon become the future virtual currency?

Maybe someone saw this ahead of time; Cryptocurrency and a major coin - bitcoin for the future. But the value can only get higher and this has to do more as it goes through these processes of adoption and adaptation. The future as we can all see is here and now; it has started. By the time it becomes globally accepted and by a somewhat regulatory body somewhere, you might be having it running in your system as codes being decoded to fund debit/credit card's.
1966  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is humanity gone? on: October 20, 2017, 10:07:11 PM
Everywhere we see double faced people. People help you but it seems like they always have an motive behind it. Is humanity really gone?

Hmmn... Real thought that has eaten me up severally, even today! It is really disheartening to see the way humans have now gone; even in the religious setting, so saddening and pathetic! And elderly recently said we have become really selfish. This also cuts across immediate families; fathers being selfish to their children. I am of the school of thought that you impart your world around you by helping in giving their lives a meaning. Though there a few persons with this mindset now and hope people will come to realize this aberration and rise to stop its decadence.
1967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moving bitcoin before the new fork on: October 20, 2017, 09:55:57 PM
can we move our bitcoin before the new fork happen? and after? how it work exactly do we risk to lose our coins because of replay attack? from 25 october to 1 novemeber there will be this new fork i want to know thnaks

For me, security is Paramount here. Also, you need to check with your current bitcoin wallet (that has been favouring you) to know if it will be supporting the forthcoming fork. If no, please, stick with your  wallet and hold on to the bitcoin you have dearly because a lot of scammers are searching earnestly to use this as a means to steal people's hard earned bitcoins. But you can make findings of a trusted bitcoin wallet to transfer your bitcoins to; I will also advise you do in a small bit too. In all, be careful not to lose all your bitcoins in a bid to get the bitcoin gold, so you don't end up being F**KED.
1968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: October 20, 2017, 09:45:05 PM
Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers

Answer is a relative: on the part of self, a real care is needed in keeping one's bitcoin wallet details safe; properly documented. Another means is by using a very safe and recommended bitcoin wallet also and ensuring one use their 2nd factor authentication. Now the other aspect of security has to do with the blockchain system; accountability with respect to the system itself having a means of securing against theft in the system. It's technology and can be worked on - I mean a real anti-theft mechanism within the blockchain system. This I believe will help answer those who are really really pessimistic.
1969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: interest in bitcoin is increasing on: October 20, 2017, 09:28:00 PM

We are definitely in the adoption stage! Awareness and soon adaptation by the global community. It is change that has cone to stay! I was just telling someone this evening as regards what I now know as regards Cryptocurrency, a new folder has been opened up my brain and I will be having a meeting with some friends too to spread the news. Likewise, I believe same with be going on around the world. The results are evident and it is speaking loud and clear. It is gradually being accepted, time is telling.
1970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INCREASING AMOUNT OF ICO(S) on: October 19, 2017, 10:42:09 PM
Going up on coinmarketcap and reading stats about cryptos will reveal that there a lot of cryptos in the market and most of them are not even known and one surprising stuff is that more and more coins are being created everyday, and there is the new coin(electroneum) which seems more like a refurbished Ponzi scheme(that's what I think about it though) isn't there a way for the springing up of new cryptos to be controlled as it seems like bitcoin is the controller of all the cryptos because once BTC starts to drop all the others follow the trend.

Even if the Cryptocurrency is a decentralized operating system, I do not condone the rate at which ICOs are springing up every now and then. I will be of the strong opinion that a mechanism/policy be put in place such that it regulates the creation of ICOs. The regulating body helps in maintaining adherence/compliance to strict and basic requirements needed for the introduction of new ICOs; very key. People are able to have integrity in selected/screened ICOs.
1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Dead Without China? on: October 19, 2017, 03:06:20 PM
Yes, China had a major stake initially when bitcoin started and thus had a somewhat power to influence the market then. With their recent withdrawal from the bitcoin market, it has been quite proven that they are now of non effect to the behaviour of the market; except they come up with another strategy. I believe with this recent outcome, China will definitely be banning a come back into the market as Bitcoin is entering into its full adoption stage.
1972  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum high fees? on: October 19, 2017, 02:53:33 PM
Hi guys,

I've recently started using Electrum and the fees seem crazy high. Heres the break down:

Send 0.00579666 BTC (£25.17)

Mining Fee: 0.0009334 BTC (£4.05)
Additional Fees: 0.002 BTC (£8.68)

Thats like half my bitcoin just to send it?

I thought the whole idea behind bitcoin was that it was cheap and quick to send currency? Super confused! I understand the additional fees are 2FA, but £8.68 and £4.05 for mining? So for me to send £25.17 its going to cost me the best part of half my bitcoin?

Whats going on here?

Thanks for any response!

If fees are high, I believe there are quite a number if bitcoin wallets with varying fees. You can surf the net to get the best with respect to fees and also with good security. Though I do no if you set the transaction fee yourself, it will take a longer time before the transaction is being confirmed.
1973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long bitcoin will survive ? on: October 17, 2017, 12:55:39 PM
Have you guys ever think to how long is bitcoin will survive in this world ? Well, I mean is there anything that can make bitcoin bankrupt or low price, then possibly will make bitcoiners doesn't want to invest anymore. And also is there any solution to avoid those thing. Just wonder to know.

The lifespan of bitcoin isn't really explainable and with lots of speculations here and there. The understanding that it is a technology that has come to stay should bring about its adoption/acceptance and adaptation/usage. It is a digital currency thriving on the block chain technology. So, a better question is  how will block chain stand the test of time. Well, a lot of people and some government are now looking into studying it and how it can be relevant/helpful to their mode of operation; in getting the best output.
1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: October 17, 2017, 12:31:04 PM
Bitcoin right now keeps on increasing its value, and many more cryptocurrencies are occurring.
Do you think someday bitcoin will end or will be replace by other cryptocurrencies?

Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance that bitcoin will be down?

It isn't too late to invest in Bitcoins as the price has not been fixed. There is still a projection that it will still get to the $10,000 scale. It is  still a long way to go. So, you terming your entry as too late is relative. As regards bitcoin going down isnt impossible because it is a digital currency that is being traded; there will be difference in levels of supply and demand pertime and these controls the bitcoin price/value overtime.
1975  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe the news ? on: October 16, 2017, 10:18:22 PM
Or do you think media is independent ?

News is most times biased! And when ever there's a digging into to find out the real truths, lives might be lost. Most times, news on TV are always there to tell us the obvious. The idea that they with old information and also regulating the extent of which they expose information. I don't like that part of getting information in bits when it's their sole responsibility to inform the public.
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do to earn btc and altcoins? on: October 16, 2017, 10:08:07 PM
What is your daily routine that you do in order to earn btc and altcoins?
Some people use their time to earn crypto with bounties or trading, but perhaps there are other alternatives not known for many yet?

I do investments with legitimate sites and you have earnings on a daily bases. Trading is good too if you have a good platform to help with it; also accustomed with a robot which will help maximize your profit and to cut down on losses. Having a robot trade for you is like you are taking about 20% decision and the robot does mist of the 80% trading for you. Other areas of earning is also through bounties and buying into ICOs.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about ICOs? on: October 16, 2017, 09:58:39 PM
I did love to go into ICOs soon but very importantly is a good background study of the coin developers, their motives, prospects and reputation. I do hope later on before I go on board fully, that there will be a safety/security/policy checker just to screen out scam ICOs. This can help with people losing money and time to scammers. ICOs is really another aspect to look into if one wants to make good profits.
1978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you combine signature campaigns with Facebook/Twitter campaigns and the like? on: October 16, 2017, 09:51:31 PM
Hi,

As I have recently been accepted into my first signature campaign I have been thinking of more ways to get btc online. I have Facebook and twitter accounts but I am trying to get more followers before I try to join campaigns. You can only be part of one signature campaign (in this forum) but can combine those campaigns with other forms of earning cryptocurrencies.

What are your experiences and views about this?

I  will take a queue in agreement with what someone said as regards combining socials with the signature campaign; meaning you get to earn more when combined. I will also suggest you get to increase your followers and friends on twitter and Facebook. Adhering strictly to the instructions given by the managers. I believe with time earnings will be worth the while.
1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is bitcoin Gold ? How To Claim It ? on: October 16, 2017, 09:35:27 PM
just read the title want to have all info on it.

Bitcoin gold is another Cryptocurrency that will launched on the 25th of October, this year. And it will be leveraging on the buoyancy and reputation of bitcoin. I got to know that you get an equivalent of btc gold when you have sane in your bitcoin wallet. Another important note is to check with your wallet holder if they will be supporting the Bitcoin fork.
1980  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the common cause of poverty? on: October 15, 2017, 09:38:25 PM
Will you explain what common  reason why some other country is still experiencing poverty and some person dying because of hunger because of efficiency on food?

It is quite a pathetic one when countries with mineral resources are being ranked amongst the poorest nations in the world! It is like a curse! I did regard my country as being in this category. Part if the reasons is due to selfish motives of leaders in places of power in the nation building. Everyone goes into government with sole motive of self enriching! The masses aren't being taken care of. Basic social amenities are being neglected and we found out that money allocation for execution of projects are being siphoned into personal pockets.
