1961  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you do for a living? How much do you earn each month? on: July 25, 2021, 10:03:09 AM

I saw a video like this on YTB before, and now I’m suddenly curious about what work everyone in the forum does?

I see many forum members spend a lot of time on bitcointalk every day. That's why I was curious.

what do you do for a living?

I like your video I like the part where you interview the drivers of the expensive car asking what they do for a living and some of them answer they are pornstars, wow this is why many people wants to be a porn star, anyway back to your question what do we do for a living I have minimum time to spend here in this forum because of work in the office, yeah I work in an office but still manage to keep up on the latest news here.
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened with ICOs? on: July 25, 2021, 09:57:25 AM

After a long break from the whole crypto stuff I saw that the everywhere seen ICO thing isn't a thing today anymore.
What happened?

Two years from now there will be no mention of ICO as crowdfunding because it has become the favorite platform of scammers to scam investors, I've been scammed several times by projects using this platform, I prefer IEO preferable on Binance or Kucoin because you are guaranteed to make a profit investing here, you need not worry that the coin will land in the exchange.
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i find alt coins before they explod on: July 25, 2021, 09:06:26 AM
The market aggregator like Coinmarketcap and Coingecko are two sites you can look and analyze if the coin is about to explode you should also follow the telegram channel of the coin that you are interested or watching, you'll get an indicator if the coin will be pump based on the update the developers are giving to their community and how investors react of course.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything like excess gambling on: July 25, 2021, 08:44:43 AM
It becomes excess if you start depositing money coming from your savings or money that you should spend for your bills, once money for gambling keeps adding up and bills are delated for payment, then we can conclude that you are spending too much time and money on gambling and we can call this excess in gambling and this is not good for your over all health and financial situation.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the next bubble? NFT! on: July 25, 2021, 08:36:50 AM
Right now there's a lot of hype in the NFT but investors should be careful on their holdings we already have an example on cryptocutties that just show that there's a risk factor, I remember the exchange token hype many investors though that is a risk proof investment only to find that so many token-based exchange can not sustain their development and investors end up losing money.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 25, 2021, 06:37:58 AM
Most online gambling companies claim that they are ethical providers who are committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices.

They propose,  that their CSR are targeted at preventing or minimizing the harm associated with their activities. However,  we are aware that those who are severely addicted to gambling have shown several mental and physical health, social relationships and academic and work performance issues.

Have these companies taken any steps to minimize the harm related to online gambling?  Is their CSR functional? Not all bet sites encourage responsible gambling because they rely on revenue from the losses of  gambling addicts. My question is, should online gambling companies be responsible for the harm related to their activities because of their current failures in the implementation and control of CSR policies?

I am not aware of that corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices, all I know is a gambling site should be reputable and responsible on how they treat their players by giving them update about their policy and addressing all the issues their players are encountering but not on how they play and how they bet, if they want to bet thousands of dollars and he is ok with it, why they will forbid him to bet with that amount or the gamblers is losing a lot, this is something that they are out of control.
1967  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is not good on: July 24, 2021, 11:31:14 PM

if you bought Bitcoin a few days ago when the price was below $30k then now you have profited a few percent. the market will always be good depending on when you buy or sell.

People are looking differently in the market trend those who bought at it's highest has a lot to regret and thinking of cutting their losses if they have weak hands they are likely to do that, and of course, there are those who are always looking for the price to drop, so they can buy cheap and sell high when the market is good, some of them are FUDSTER always looking on a chart for their entry and exit.
1968  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go down below $20,000. on: July 24, 2021, 10:12:05 PM
I think it has something to do with the last meeting between Dorsey and Elon Musk where each one gave positive feedback on the future of Bitcoin and Elon Musk is very open in his support of Bitcoin now, the price is doing good in the market now I hope this brings back the confidence of investors to the market and hopefully it will reach $40k before the end of this year.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens have a future? I need 3 of them on: July 24, 2021, 11:58:08 AM

According to my Holding now and the Volume from top to bottom .

Ethereum (ETH)- 23% of my Altcoin Holding is in this coin.

Ripple (XRP) - 16% of totality of my Altcoin holding in this.

Binance (BNB) - 8% oin this one.

and the majority in which 53% are all In Bitcoin in my reason is more practical and rightful .

That's also the coins I picked because you are sure to make a stable profit if you have the heart and strong hands to hodl it, but apart from these I also allocated a portion to gaming tokens namely Binamon and DPET gaming are very popular ever since and these gaming tokens are the future of gaming this is because of the success of Axie Infinity.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 24, 2021, 07:29:54 AM

Casimero throws a punch statement again against Rigo, well his usual style. Smiley

“When I beat Rigondeaux on August 14, he’s going to retire. He’s finished,” – Casimero
“I can guarantee that everyone is going to see the best of me on August 14. I perform best under the bright lights,” – Rigondeaux

Rigo is the slight favorite to win the match but some analysts are looking forward for Casimero's win via TKO on which I doubt will happen. For sure Rigo's defense will be surely more prioritized as he's not like before wherein he can throw strong body shots to his opponent while doing some good defense.
I'm glad that they both want to prove something on this fight, this is very important for both fighters for Rigo a chance to come back again and capture the old glory, for Casimero a chance to prove that he is the best in his weight division even though on the other organizations a monster is ruling it, I expect a knock here hopefully Rigo will come to fight and stand toe to toe against Casimero.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: July 24, 2021, 02:46:56 AM
I have seen Nigeria beating the US but it's an exhibition match and it's non bearing I still see the US team the team to beat here and most likely to win the gold medal, they are going to blend their talent when the events start, the best contenders are Spain and Australia to me and Nigeria is the dark horse, this is going to be exciting to watch looking forward to seeing these matches.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: never invest in defi projects under the name Safe or Moon on: July 23, 2021, 01:31:48 PM
I already can't count how many defi projects were released today. I think most of the projects released are defi projects. and the coins coming from that project will just be shitcoins. If you still believe in defi and keep investing in such projects, my advice is to skip projects with the name SAFE or MOON. projects using that name are just shit. plagiarism project with a very big total supply. You will regret believing in such a project.
A friend invited me to invest in Safemmon and other similar schemes with airdrops but I turned them all down, because there is no usage to speak off and no platform, all they have is a scheme that is very much similar to a Ponzi scheme, there has to be money coming in and new investors investing if the price will go up, I prefer investing in a project that I think will last in bear and bull markets.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are MEME Coins A NEW Trend on: July 22, 2021, 08:56:52 PM
With the rise of Doge Coin, there have been countless MEME coins launch on different platform.
What are you thoughts on meme coins? Are they bad for the industry? Or Are they a gateway drug for newbies to enter the game?

It's a bad entry point for newbies to get introduced to Cryptocurrency because of MEME coins, these are pump and dump coin the chances to make a profit is lower, and you will end up losing or have to cut your losses if you don't know how these developers and old investors are pumping and dumping this kind of coins, newbies should start with coins that are on the top spot already.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 22, 2021, 08:50:41 PM
I have noticed that sometimes when I gamble, I used to win unexpectedly even when I never intended to bet. The most shocking thing is that I usually win when my mind is not that prepared to gamble probably jokingly. Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?

You are using the word sometimes, so it means it's not always all the time and we can consider this das luck and have nothing to do with your emotion, you can try it on a toss coin even when you are drunk, you will get your picked side if you are lucky to get in, same with gambling you will hit by luck whatever you are feeling and whatever you are thinking, and it's not you only I also experienced this and just ignore it.
1975  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has fallen below 30,000. Is there still room for appreciation in the future on: July 21, 2021, 10:39:19 AM
Since Musk banned BTC from acquiring Tesla, it has plummeted. When will it rebound? Smiley Smiley Smiley Kiss Kiss

There will be a meeting between him and Dorsey let's see if we'll have a pump if this meeting will bring positive news, then this is the right time to buy and if there is a piece of negative news on the meeting there's a possibility that Bitcoin will go down to $20k and that will start the bear trend, just when everyone is bullish that Bitcoin will reach 6 digits before the end of the year, these things happen.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 21, 2021, 05:21:06 AM
What do you think of sexy casinos? Do you think it's a good thing? Have you ever tried any? What is your favorite one?

I don't see anything wrong with it, in an open world it's natural for and they have a market for this we have a saying that the customers are always right and if they want sexy casinos and people will patronage it, investors will give it to them, I have not tried it before maybe I will encounter something like when I'm on traveling after this pandemic.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins to hold during a bear market? on: July 21, 2021, 04:25:59 AM
I want to know everyone’s suggestions.

I reckon the best cryptocoins to buy as long term investments during bear markets might be those exchange utility tokens like FTT and BNB. Exchanges always collect revenue in bull and bear markets and this gives the tokens some fundamental backing. Also, the utility of those tokens in their corresponding exchanges create a demand for them.

You are definitely right token-based exchange made a profit in bear and bull run, people continue to sell and to buy, the market has grown that these exchanges continue to make a profit and the profit is getting bigger as the community is growing, Tokens like Binance and Kucoin are here to stay and continue, it's worth to be included in any one's portfolio.
1978  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is fearfull. Someone said this is time to be greedy on: July 18, 2021, 11:40:45 AM
There is also blood on the streets, so someone said this is time to buy. Look at the amount of fear. So follow this?

That is part of Buffet's advice you should change direction when people are fearful to invest he applied it in his early years and he made huge profit from that philosophy, we should also do that if we want to be big in the Cryptocurrency market but of course do not spend everything you've got the Cryptocurrency market is a different market.
1979  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will Bitcoin go? on: July 18, 2021, 11:17:41 AM

The current support now is $30k, if that support will give up, then we might see a big fall again dropping from $30k to $20k is such big news and it will certainly create panic. Some investors are just here for the hype, specifically the bull run, but it seems the bull run is over, so they have no interest here but to withdraw their money with loses and come back next bull run which might happen again years from now.

The $30k is crucial but if ever it cannot sustain that level it will open a good opportunity to investors who are looking for a dip, I'm sure many investors are ready to buy when weak hands started to sell their shares, we need not worry when there are dumpers, there are always takers and these takers will be the lucky one.
1980  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Follows Ethereum? on: July 18, 2021, 10:56:42 AM
Do you think it's possible that the Bitcoin price will follow Ethereum price in the future? When Ethereum becomes proof of stake and becomes deflationary, can it happen?

It all depends if he takes the number one spot and he surpass the market cap but before he can do that it should upgrade it's platform, Binance is a big threat to his position and might overtake him in his position right now Binance is the best choice for DeFi developers because of it's cheap transactions.
