321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2017, 02:23:04 PM
What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?

Because they believe about the potential of bitcoin's growth in terms of its value and through long term holding they believe they could reap the benefits of investing to bitcoins when it reach its highest market value. Holding is always a strategy in every investments but somehow risky so you may want to set a certain goal when to sell or hold your coins.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2017, 12:16:30 PM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.

Just leave them be, its only a matter of time before they actually see how profitable bitcoins and othery cryptocurrencies are you don't have to spend time to skeptical people that might hinder you from choosing something that might change your life for good. Pushing your toughts or ideas to closeminded people is not very productive.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2017, 12:10:18 PM
I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

The value of the bitcoin really impresses me. The reason why I use bitcoin because I saw that the bitcoin is so valuable today. I think that it is better to have bitcoins today for us to have a great future.

Plus aside from its value there are so many ways to earn it that almost everyone can participate. I was impressed that even though its value was so high but we can still earn it through different ways.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: October 15, 2017, 10:21:34 PM
I bought some oxy and cokes from darknet. Bitcoin was the only mode of payment there.

Because the dealer prefer also to be unknown just as the buyer wants to remain discreet. Illegal transactions are surprisingly compatible with cryptocurrencies, and we all know that cryptocurrencies and internet goes hand in hand.
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: October 15, 2017, 08:41:09 PM
Op has the plan to save a the bitcoins for more than 5 years. In between he's not gonna use it, so its better to store it in a hardware wallet and keep it secure. For added security have the backup as well keep the public key secretly.

You may also try to increase the security of your backup files through encryptions and make sure you don't fall for any scam , malware or links in the internet that may compromise your account securities. I think each wallet offers dependable security capabilities and the rest is up to us to protect our bitcoins.

327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: October 12, 2017, 09:52:34 AM
interesting question and it certainly is one of every bitcoin user's hopes to see this happen. but it needs more time because we need more transaction per second capability and also we need lots more adoption so that there is someplace to spend bitcoin on. first people have to start adopting bitcoin then they have to start asking/forcing merchants to accept bitcoin and in time i believe it can replace Paypal completely.

It will happen soon enough, its complicated to start a paypal account in the first place and its a hassle using paypal. People find it hard to use specially those who are not that techie and do not have a debit nor credit card. I could say its too limited and fail to adapt that the fast changing online market that is why its starting to get outdated.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: October 12, 2017, 09:14:45 AM
Unfortunately unless you are actually working a real job and getting paid in bitcoin, there are not many good ways of earning any real money.

I agree, being a regular employee will get you nowhere and you will just end up in an unending cycle of work, sleep, traffic, stress, spend and so it goes on. Through investment is the best option to be financially free and you can't blame people specially unemployed to see bitcoin as an opportunity. Those who live in third world country know how hard it is to strive and improve one's financial status as a regular employee. The only advantage of being employed compared to bitcoin is the security benefits like healthcare and pensions.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: October 12, 2017, 08:25:29 AM
I think we can start explain bitcoin by tell them that bitcoin is like other international currencies dollar, euro and many else. They will understand and you explain more about bitcoin.

And also show them how easy it is for them to get involved, earn and start their own investment. Show them various ways to earn coins and give them a brief background about cryptocurrencies, make sure that you don't get too technical.  I'm sure they will be more than willing to learn about bitcoin once they see it as an early opportunity to earn ample amount of money at a young age.
330  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: October 12, 2017, 07:41:12 AM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.

I don't because it would just create additional fee for their services and it will eliminate the purpose of bitcoin to be accessible anytime I want without any hassle and processes and filling up of forms, falling in line etc in the banks. Also what ever happens to that bank may also affect my bitcoins, I would accept it if my coins were lost because of my carelessness.
331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire? on: October 12, 2017, 06:46:26 AM
yeah lol did you read the pizza story guy? that is everyone dream, to have 10k bitcoin and hold them until now, but i think already everyone dumped at the 2013 ATH, it's very hard and very tempting to sell at those price when you have so many bitcoins, and it's easy now to say that if i would have hold i would have been rich, try to say this when the value is shit lol

True! imagine that guy who bought the pizza, hahaha he would've been able to establish a pizza parlor himself with those coins today. You can't blame them though if they know that bitcoin will increase in value after couple of more years then I'm sure it would be harder from that time to earn it too.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: October 12, 2017, 06:31:49 AM
Guys I know that there are previous posts and polls regarding the highly suggested source of bitcoin but things always change do I want to know what is the current best source of bitcoin nowadays. Please participate on this poll and kindly tell us why that's your choice. Thanks in advance and God bless us more Wink

I  vote for others: (Signature Campaign, Your Skills, etc) though trading has a high potential in terms of earning bitcoins it also has a higher risk like gambling which shows the highest chance of earning but also a greater risk. That's why I think online campaigns which only requires skills and internet plus time is the most efficient way to safely earn coins.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: October 12, 2017, 06:10:25 AM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.

Both, because I save my bitcoins for future fun, things that I want to do and to have in the future after I become successful and hopefully financially free in the future. So I save my bitcoins until it reach a certain goal I set then reap the fruit of my investments and enjoy the rest of my life.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: October 12, 2017, 05:54:57 AM
I have brought PC bits and pieces, some subscriptions, I want some Tshirts but have not found a design I want yet, bitcoin from cassicus(sp) but I am mostly saving like I did with fiat that some like to call hoarding

I use my bitcoins too for my pc upgrades and somehow manage to buy upgraded hardwares and peripherals which greatly improves my efficiency whether on working with bitcoins or playing my favorite games. Then i hold the rest of my coins and continuously saving new bitcoins that I earned for future investments.

336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: October 10, 2017, 01:45:31 PM
Since bitcoin is trending now world wide because you can easily earn this and it exchange in real cash. Is bitcoin the new value of currency in the internet? Is he the new money? Can we use it in buying foods and etc in the future?

unless it is accepted through out the world and used for almost all basic commodities like cash then maybe you can consider it to be. But I think it is still too early for  bitcoin to be classified as that, more likely as of now I prefer to call it as an online currency.
337  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: October 07, 2017, 09:48:22 PM
Hello All,

What you think is the best investment to gain steady income in btc without actively doing anything?
So no trading/gambling/loaning etc.

Steady income more likely to be 'small & secure' than 'big & risky'.

Thanks,
BR Oinas

I think mining best describes your preference, that is if you are willing to invest for a mining rig. It would earn you a steady income with efficiency and much lesser risk than trading or gambling also you don't need to do so much aside from monitoring and maintenance check.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 05, 2017, 04:07:51 PM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!

of course it would still be risky, and at the same time would mean a higher income gain in your part of investment. I suggest don't go all out save some in case of emergency but it wouldn't be bad to invest your money to bitcoins by 70/30 in favor of bitcoins as early as possible.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: October 04, 2017, 04:42:32 PM
i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin?  Huh

There are a lot of ways but different risks, if you want high return but high risks then gambling is for you, but if you want to earn steadily then go for campaigns and mining.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the factors that affect the rise and fall of the BTC? on: September 28, 2017, 07:08:51 AM
