141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When your token goes down hard, are you going to sell it? on: May 06, 2018, 10:35:09 AM
I’m new to the crypto world, I have some bad experience yet but I’m being educated little-by-little, based on my experience here in crypto world. I notice that some users when they see that bitcoin and ethereum coin had a very bad drop, so does the token, they are selling almost 70% of their holdings of that token. And I have experienced that when the market goes down, so does the token doing some panic sell.  May I ask, is it advisable to sell the tokens you hold, when the price of your token goes really down?

No, it would be such a waste if I sell those token the best thing you should do on these moments is to be greedy because these moments are the best time to buy more of your token and if you are really having doubt about your investment then you can always play it safe and wait for the market to recover, just hold until then and then sell your token.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Earnings on: May 06, 2018, 10:23:46 AM
Hi guys.

Out of curiosity, what are you earning with bounty campaigns?
I think I'm somewhere near 1K USD/month, but I guess there have to be people here who are earning lots more.

Kind regards
Wow, 1K USD / month is pretty big. my income is uncertain due to payment delay from a project but if asked how much my income from 1 project is on average 2K USD.

And for a newbie rank that is quite very high and hard to earn in bounty campaigns what more to regularly receive that amount of income monthly. It would take your bounty campaigns to reach their hard cap normally and not to mention the irregularities of the dates when to receive the rewards.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greed and crypto !! on: May 05, 2018, 10:18:53 AM
I feel that i never have enough coins. To day i just bought another batch with Icon (ICX) i am not only bullish on ICX but wish i had more of WAN,VEN,ONT,NAV,OMG and EOS.

Do you guys feel the same thirst/hunger to buy/add more fiat to the crypto world. And when is enough ?

Because of the long downtreand we have been withness to now. Do i start to be positive to what i see right now. And want to take a loan in the bank 50k to buy more of the coins that i have mantion in this thread. The plan is to make 2-3x and sell some and pay back the loan. I know this sounds crazy to most of you and i know it is.

Positive and negative comments are all welcome in this thread. Thanks

I do regarding coins that I think has a lot of potential for growth and profit. And I often feel this urge during market crashes where most  of the coins have very low prices. I think it is good to be greedy as long as we bought our investments at the right moment but then again I make sure to think twice before giving in for my urges.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After a Bad Sell on: May 05, 2018, 08:36:42 AM
So this happened to me twice this week, first I sold Bitcoin Cash and the next day, it started booming and has not up considerably and still going strong, then I sold Golem and boom it goes too.

What do you do in such situations? When you finally sell for a small profit after a long wait but then you realize that you missed on big profit with you bad timing.
How do you deal with this? Any tips to minimize this or overcome after such bad timing decisions?

Already happen, accept the result and never do that again. The solution is only like that and never change but people have different opinion about it. There's nothing you can do " after ", but you can do something better " before ". For minimize loss you can use stop loss and stop greedy for bigger profit. Do that and you'll have better result.

If he is willing to take risks then there are still chance since the market is still starting to increase in price but then again he could always wait again for another market crash and buy again tokens for him to hold for another market pump, I think this would be the safest way theres no need to rush and make sudden choice that could worsen the scenario.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most cryptocurrencies will crash to zero on: May 05, 2018, 07:11:03 AM
Actually this is true, most tokens have no value but I think it will happen in the future not now. Most are in bubble, because majority of people buy them at the beginning without any success.

But still that won't affect us much since majority of these cryptocurrencies that doesn't have any value do not have also much investors. But as for the top cryptocurrencies in the market, I doubt that they will reach 0 value for a couple of years, yes we may experience crashes from time to time but there will always be moments where they recover their value.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency education in high school on: May 05, 2018, 07:03:32 AM
This high school in New Jersey is already teaching its students about cryptocurrencies.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/07/bitcoin-education-at-high-schools-and-colleges.html

I think it can be provided as an extracurricular activity or through seminars, but being part of the curriculum in each school is too excessive for me. Cryptocurrency would not take that much time to learn and teaching it as a subject would make it too saturated for the highschool students. But as a club or seminars, I think it would be very effective and somehow help the students to give them idea how to save and manage their funds at an early age.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you keep yourself from spending on unimportant things? on: May 04, 2018, 02:02:23 PM
I dont know if it is just me or others also experience it. I always set goals financially, set limits in spending and trying hard to save but most of the time no matter how i tell myself to refrain from spending in unnecessary things whenever i see something i really like even if i dont need it i cant resist buying it that cause me to regret later. Are you familiar with this situation?

I find it easy and simple because I don't have money to spend with in the first place Cheesy haha!. What I mean is my profit and investments from bounty campaigns remains in the market or wallet and I always divert the urge to exchange it into fiat. So I am forced to save my little salary for the things I need like food and utility bills which somehow became very effective for me unconsciously.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really anonymous? on: May 04, 2018, 01:22:43 PM
My questions is not on the technical side, since obviously you can create an address in a very much anonymous way. However, when it comes to spending it or convert it into fiat or even when spending it on a legit shop online you have to leave an identity trace.

I know that with small transactions is fine, under the radar basically, but what happens with significant ammounts?

I am asking this because I intend to become rich in 4 or 5 weeks Grin Grin

It is anonymous and at the same time not because in a way bitcoin's transparency provide informations for of its users to see but at the same time it doesn't provide information regarding the people behind these transactions that would Identify the user's profile. When you started to convert your bitcoins to fiat then I think that would only be the point where your privacy will not be protected by bitcoin.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future! on: May 04, 2018, 11:38:13 AM
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/bitcoin-millionaire-erik-finman-says-going-to-college-isnt-worth-it.html

Have you heard of the story of a 12 year old kid who wagered with his mom that if he will be a millionaire at age 18 he will not go to college. To his mothers surprise he is now a millionaire and never went to college. His secret he bought bitcoin at 12$ with a 1000 $ gift from his grandmother.

If we also dream of getting rich in the future it is now time to invest in bitcoins. Many said that we will be experiencing bubbles more often, that is true but we have survived it and still bitcoin keeps moving on.

If we want to get rich invest in bitcoins today. The price of bitcoin today is at 2600$ and moving up but imagine its value 5 to 10 years from now.

The kid is blessed having encountered bitcoin at that early stage. Though it doesn't mean that there is only a specific point in time to invest in bitcoin in order to become a millionaire, it is still such a great loss of opportunity for many of us who wasn't able to knew it at that time. Now that bitcoin is definitely higher from where it started it still proves to be a worthy investment as it continues to recover and hope fully moon again.

151  Other / Off-topic / Re: what wallet can you recommend? on: April 25, 2018, 07:45:43 PM
Hi there,

i'm quite unsure about where to save my btc and eth. personally as i travel a lot i will have difficulties using a hardware-wallet, so i was thinking of a kind of mobile version. is there anything you could recommend?

I definitely recommend myetherwallet, you can always check the reviews from the web or check it for your self. I also recommend it for newbies since I experience it first hand as a newbie how this wallet works because it is very user friendly and I didn't have a hard time figuring out its technicalities since it has plenty of easy to follow tutorials and steps to make my wallets more secure.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google results show more people searching for Bitcoin than gold on: April 25, 2018, 04:36:58 PM

I think this would be normal since bitcoin is something new and since it is much more accessible and primarily works through the web then it is very accessible for people that are much more curious since bitcoins nature is something new to most people unlike gold that has been part of trades from a long long time throughout the history.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you going to spend your bitcoin on? on: April 25, 2018, 04:28:10 PM
Hey guys. Its DOGE12321  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley again. What are you guys going to use your bitcoin on when you get a substantial total.

Enough to buy me what I need and for my family and hopefully also enough to become financially free and maybe establish a business or a new investment that I could rely regular money with for monthly expenses and savings for the years to come.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Cashout BitCoins? on: April 25, 2018, 04:16:12 PM
Hello, i'm kind of new into crypto currency, I am currently trading on few exchanges. But i noticed all of the exchanges use bitcoin to deposit and withdraw, also no matter what coin you trade use bitcoins. So when you decide to withdraw your bitcoin and convert to USD, how do you go it? I don't see any option in any exchange, which is very weird.

I easily cash it out through an local on line wallet app where I send my bitcoins and convert it to fiat  which the service providers are also in partner with common international and local remittance center where my online money is sent and is received by me in cash in a designated branches near me.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: April 25, 2018, 04:08:41 PM
Only collective human compassion can end world poverty.

I agree with this, it doesn't matter what currency or economic breakthrough there is as long as humans tend to focus on themselves and live and work selfishly then there will always be someone who will be left behind, someone deprived of something that others have in excess.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taking Courses to learn about Bitcoin on: April 25, 2018, 02:56:32 PM
Has anyone taken a course online on sites like Udemy to learn about bitcoin? I just received a coupon to enroll in a bitcoin course for free. Would it be worth the time?
If anyone has any experience, do share.

I haven't experienced it via official online courses but if its free then I think it wouldn't hurt your time to accept it since you may learn a thing or two but as much as resources regarding bitcoin and cryptocurrency related topics there are a lot of ways to learn for free and you can access a lot of resources nowadays online.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are active these days. on: April 25, 2018, 02:25:11 PM
Some bitcoin users told me not to do transactions in these couple of days because hackers are active these days. I want to know is it true? or some kind of rumor? Anyone here who have faced such problem?

Whether they are active or not hackers attacks whenever there is an opportunity or any security flaw in your account that they can exploit. If fear of hackers will inhibit you to do transactions then it will be very bad for your investments, I think what you have to do is to take extra precautions and research how hackers can access your accounts and wallets in order to prevent future attacks.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: April 25, 2018, 02:08:38 PM
If that's even his name. Just read the bitcoin wiki on him and I'm amazed. Nobody knows him.

Long time passed since he last posted in here. Why? "Busy"? I don't think so. He was active when bitcoin needed support but since the slashdot...
Also, it seems has knowledge in many areas, especially economy. He doesn't act like the average human. Not taking advantage out of his creation, leaving without telling anything. Is he even a single person or a group?

How can someone create something so great and not stepping out to get the credit?

Its like he has planned everything and have seen the future outcome of bitcoin in the upcoming years ever since he or they established it. I think it would be normal to hide his identity for security purpose bu I believe satoshi nakamoto represents not just a single person. It would be very hard to make something like cryptocurrency that can actually work and become a contender in the market and reach this value with an effort of one person alone.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone pays you 10 btc to legally change your name to bitcoin, would you? on: April 23, 2018, 09:42:59 AM
If someone agreed to pay you 10 btc which is currently valued at around $90k USD to legally change your name to bitcoin, would you? And you're not allowed to change your name back for at least 5 years.

I would probably do it and name my firstborn after bitcoin for 10 btc.

I would! But I would like to ask them if I could atleast be called bitcoinette or bitconnie haha anyways for 10 bitcoin I wouldn't mind of changing my name if I could secure the future of my family with a story I could tell them laughing. Cheesy
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin die, no more cryptos can alive. on: April 23, 2018, 09:14:56 AM
Someone says Etherium will be no. 1 coin if Bitcoin die.

But, I don't think so.

If BTC die, there will be no more cryptocurrencies.

Not quite, bitcoin among all other cryptocurrency has the highest chance of survival for the years to come, and if by any chance it actually " dies " then I think instead of dragging all other cryptocurrencies bitcoin's value would just shift to them as other investors transfer their investments.
