As was announced earlier, most of the coins that were stored in WeExchange.co are now gone. We are still limited in what we can share about how that happened, and what is being done about it, but we do have some updates.

There are still approximately 386btc available in the wallets. These coins will be paid proportionally to all owed users, based on current user balances, by Monday night.

All old withdrawal requests will be removed and each user will need to initiate new withdrawals when this new balance is ready.

Full instructions on how to access the site to process these withdrawals will be provided by 5pm (GMT+2) on Monday 16th December, when you should be able to withdraw the portion of available funds allotted to your account.

This is far from ideal, but it gets every satoshi that is available to those with outstanding balances. When we are able, we will announce more details on what is being done to repay the remaining coins that are owed to WeExchange.co users.

updated the first post, sorry about the delay

Yeah, but pirate was anonymous.

The forum participant Pirateat40 was not anonymous at all. His identity and his business relationships were well know by many people not only here, but outside this forum as well.

Notice the date of this post:

Pirate is 3rd from the right.  His real name is Trendon Shavers and he lives in McKinney, TX.  He will be turning 30 in September.

In fact, Danny runs a large start-up, has over 30 people working for his company, deals with several officials in Cyprus (part of the EU, not some backwater where people can run away), meets both businesses and individuals to discuss the neo, and has respectable international legal and accounting cover. Of course it could all be an amazingly elaborate scam but it wouldn't make any logical sense.

I verified that your participation in this forum did not completed one year yet. So you must understand that your speech for many of us, the old participants (which includes our resident troll Crumbs), is nothing new. The same kind of rhetoric you are using to defend Ukyo and Cryptocyprus was used several times by many people to defend Pirateat40.

That said, I am not endorsing the accusations made against Ukyo and Cryptocyprus. However, I must recognize that your effort to liaise in favour of both individuals appears very suspicious to anyone following this case.

By the way, if you want to use the fallacy guilty by association to prove that Cryptocyprus is a trustworthy individual, then I am sure you are doing more harm than good. Cyprus is well know for its corruption:

Banks, industrialists, politicians and those who had “insider trading connections” made millions from this financial honey trap, while Citizen Joe lost his savings, home and livelihood. To this day, nobody has been prosecuted or held accountable for the biggest financial scandal and fraud on the island. Profiteering, protected by vision-less governments has gone too far!

So, let's rephrase what you wrote, but with added content:

In fact, Danny runs a large start-up, has over 30 people working for his company, deals with several officials in Cyprus (banks, industrialists, politicians and those who had “insider trading connections” made millions from a financial honey trap, while Citizen Joe lost his savings, home and livelihood), meets both businesses and individuals (which has not been prosecuted or held accountable for the biggest financial scandal and fraud on the island) to discuss the neo, and has respectable international legal and accounting cover. Of course it could all be an amazingly elaborate scam but it wouldn't make any logical sense.

I'm beginning to be a little worried about ffs69 too.
It's true he was the first who raised the weexechange issue, and although before I had interpreted it as a proof of trustworthiness, I'm not sure about it anymore.
I'm happy about the danny's intervention in this huge mess and I agree with some ffs69's point, but his repeated need to justify the actions taken and trying to give Ukyo ever increasing time to clear the mess is really suspicious.
I remember this:
Nope, didn't miss that. And wasn't surprised to see it. Ukyo said there would be an announcement later today after which he would have more time to deal with weexchange issues. From the sound of it, weexchange will be sorted out properly in a few weeks but for now we just need the wallet to work again.

Let's hope much much much sooner than a few weeks..
That seems excessive...

At the time, nothing seemed to suggest a need of "few weeks" to sort the things right, Ukyo himself intervened to seem confident in a faster resolution. FFs69 has always been extremely tolerant, for someone who is risking 70+ xbt. I'm in for 10.5 xbt and while I agree we should not act impulsively to achieve some result, I'm really pissed and it is not easy to be quiet.

Finally, he REALLY acted shady when he was in the activemining board, when the share price collapsed with huge amount of shares sold in the same day and shortly after he and the other board members announced they left the board. Surely it was inside trading and I can understand it in the unregulated bitcoin securities world, it's certainly not a plus in its favor
346  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The 2nd Stage Server Con ( Currently ~$2,000,000 ) 2 MILLION DOLLARS!! on: December 12, 2013, 03:26:55 PM
...You are right ,I am worry of my BTCs everyday ,but I really can't do much about it ,however I am going to give them like one more week ...

This is my prediction:
Within the next week, you and others will receive a small fraction of the money that has been taken from you.  This will create enough "good will" to quiet the detractors, generate fresh hope and buy more time.
Given a choice between having hope and nothing, 9 out of 10 people chose hope.

Apologies for the slight delay in getting this information out.

Jon (Ukyo) is now here with me in Cyprus to ensure this problem is resolved for everyone involved.

The bitcoins are simply not there anymore, we are continuing to work through the implementation of a number of solutions to correct the issue. We are hoping to have one of many very important announcements before the Christmas holidays that will enable the bitcoins to be returned to those that are owed, however the run up to the holiday period may cause delays in some aspects.

The solution will take time to pay everyone in full however, there will be no preferential payments and the payments will be distributed proportionally.

A full explanation as to why the bitcoins are no longer there, will be provided as soon as we possibly can.

Neo & Bee has no exposure to the liabilities of WeExchange. The solution will enable Neo & Bee and all of those involved in Bitcoin to benefit greatly in the future.

The update that I had planned for today shall now be made at noon (GMT+2) tomorrow. Sincere apologies for this, however the information that can be provided tomorrow will be much more detailed than previously expected.

don't trust anything limbaugh says, but I think this time he is right in the short period, with millions of shares still available at 0.003 in LMB

an update from cryptocyprus will be released this friday:

Did I miss the update? It is past 5pm in Cyprus. In Europe, this is pretty much the end of the week...

You missed nothing, we are still waiting

is there a thread that follows the news about the 90k bitcoin stolen from sheep market?

Congratulations for the ZipZap deal, when you see that limbaugh pop-up in a thread trying to crash the share price, is a really good sign Wink

By the way, can you give an ETA for an update about the weexchange issue? I know you can't say much about the issue itself, but posting on a regular basis some clue about how the process is going would help to calm people.
I received at least two lawsuit proposals from other users, and although I'm convinced would not be the best thing to do now (since I feel confident you), it is not easy to keep quiet...
356  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thread deleted by admins on: December 03, 2013, 09:14:59 PM
Lophie's post, which is quoted in VolanicEruptor's post above, could be seen as threatening to Ukyo's family.  That's the likely reason for its deletion, since it contains no information beyond the implicit menace.
That post was very, very uncalled for (and so was, and still is, the volcanic reply), but we're talking about OP, here? Huh

I assumed that was the post OP was referring to.  Was there something else that was deleted?

Just the first post?
357  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: December 03, 2013, 05:56:39 PM
The excuse was holidays, now they are over what is the next excuse? This is getting ridiculous

They couldn't proceed with whatever they needed to do because of the holidays. We have had a whole 1 US working day since then. It's should be evident that whatever needs to happen is not a 1 day fix.

What is your estimate of the time scale we are talking about? I have seen no concrete info either from Ukyo or Danny whether we are talking about days, weeks, months or years. Is there anything out there that I missed?

[01:48] <@Ukyo> CuWireBeard: at this point, I would ask that until the next big announcement is made that we wait and see how that turns out Smiley

please avoid to report your personal opinions as facts.

Updated the first post:
- moved the relevant users' posts above the Ukyo's post (since he's not posting since november 17)
- added a cryptocyprus' statement

Bitfunder/WeExchange Problems:

We have ~106 BTC in the Bitfunder/WeExchange system which we can not obtain.  We have sent Bitfunder's/WeExchange's Ukyo a Legal Demand For Payment within 72 hours.  We expect this problem to result in the loss of the 106 BTC.  We are meeting with our Lawyers to determine what our next steps will be.  This 106 BTC has been deducted from our liquid cash position above.

I wish I had opened this thread as self-moderated.
