mmm, someone in the chinese forum confirmed the video:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=317586.new#new

I think it's time to open an account on havelock, is it fast?  Angry

Thank you but I'm having some trouble to understand what you wrote, google translation is pretty hilarious Grin:

Hard to believe that next year will reach the 1000p level. Unless the new technology to reduce power consumption 30 times. After baking cats, butterflies, avalon is not a professional chip design company. Up to 10 times more energy efficiency difficult.

Not too much wishful thinking, I hope not to renege roast cat, arranged before the end of 800-1000T count force.

She is saying something about Friedcat/AsicMiner releasing 1P on november 7th? And 3rd generation chips on february 2014?

Has anything about this interview been confirmed or is it all BS? Sounds too good to be true.

Actually it just confirms what was said earlier and isn't really news. Several hundred TH were schedueled for "end of the year" and I think 1000 were mentioned in rockxie's presentation. Not sure anymore..

This is the interviewer's thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=252469.0 (sticky in the Chinese subforum)

The thread is stickyed but I can't find any news about friedcat. Her last post is dated 20 october and her last interview 12 october.

It is estimated that the network hashing power would be 1000p then, while Friedcat would deliver several hundred of it.

Then you may have to wait some hours, as most people in China are still sleeping. Grin

I'll wait, I have time Smiley

Hi,
I'm sorry if I'm writing english but I need your help.
An user claimed that a member of the chinese community interviewed Friedcat (AsicMiner) and he released some really intersting news:

http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNjI1OTIxMTc2.html

One of our group members in Chinese community had an interview with Friedcat today. Above is the brief introduction of what Friedcat has done and planned to be accomplished in the next months.
To be short:
1. 1000T would be released around Nov 7th. These chips may be sold or deployed, depending on the situation then.
2. 2nd Gen chips have already been developed long time ago. But they were delayed to deploy considering the unsatisfactory performance.
3. 3rd Gen chips were also under development during that period. It is already developed now but still under test. It is expected to become a mature product in Feb 2014, which means its key indicators would be much better than those of its competitors. It is estimated that the network hashing power would be 1000p then, while Friedcat would deliver several hundred of it.

This is what realdos said to add credibility to the interview:

The interviewer is one of our members in the Chinese community. She is not one of AM's board members but she does hold some AM shares. She has been planning to have an interview with Friedcat and finally she made it. We the Chinese Bitcoiners have known her for a long time and she's built her credibility with her interviewing more than 15 people in this community.
I post this video and translation in this thread, assuming that since she already post it on Weibo, a twitter-like service in China, that should become some public information and Friedcat's consent must have been gained to release it.

I can't speak chinese, so if someone can confirm that the video really is what realdos said and the interviewer is really a well known chinese community member, I'd be very grateful.

Thank you

The interviewer's id here is fdahq. The thread she post is actually on top of this subforum.

Thank you, no offense, but I'd like a confirm from someone has not posted in the english forum this evening, yet Wink

looks very strange nobody posted this in the chinese subforum.

By the way I asked in that forum for a translation and/or a confirm, still no answer

I'm sorry if I'm insistent:

If you can join bitfunder as a non us person the shares are at .003 btc.   buying 300 shares is about 1 btc the dividend would be  pretty good. I would think you would get a nice return on your shares.

based on last week you would get .06 btc for 1 btc in 1 week that comes to %6 in a week. it will drop as difficulty goes down.

I don't understand your calculations...

If a share is worth ~40MH/s, 300 shares would be ~12000MH/s. So, with the current difficulty and owning 300 shares, I should get about 0.16 btc per week. Where this 0.06 comes from?

410  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] - ADDICTION - KNCMiner - Now hashing at 14+TH! on: October 23, 2013, 08:44:56 AM
hello,

I'm interested in buying some shares on bitfunder but I'm a bit confused about the group buys...

A share receives dividends from all the miners currently online? (I see about 14TH/s)

All the hashing profits are divided by how many shares in total? So how much hashrate a share represents?

Thank you

27x 12400 = 334800 shares with the rights to get dividends Smiley

Thank you, I see you are mining in P2Pool... Is there any public stats page available?

Noticed the difficulty increase?

Current Difficulty: 267,731,249 (+41%)
Next difficulty (estimate): 436,010,565 (+63%)

All the mining securities are being dumped, the one suffered most until now is Icedrill, about half price in less than 1 hour...

I'm in with ActM since the 0.0025 IPO, but I'm now a little worried about this difficulty growth rate without knowing how much hashrate we are supposed to bring online in november/december.

Some official estimate from Ken could help to figure out what we can expect for the next weeks/months

This 0.0003 should be the bottom now?

Shares at this price are like free money.

with this difficulty growth rate, are like free losses

Lohoris, are you in the informatics field?

Programmer, sysadmin, webmaster?

What is your background?
Marketing, obviously.

I'm a programmer, actually.

Well, then you should know better than good layout = security...

People come on, he's not saying pretty layout = security, he is just saying he trusts more a site with a professional layout because who spends time, money and efforts for security, probably he would be dumb if doesn't pay a bit more to hire someone for a nice looking site. On the other hand if your site looks bad, you could be a random guy who built up a site to gain some easy profit.

You can agree or not (I personally don't, for the most part), but he is not comparing security to fancy look, stop repeating it
417  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 02, 2013, 09:43:47 PM
ActM has killed my Bitcoin value moreso than Labcoin - just saying.

The latest SR news did not helped any share
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 02, 2013, 09:41:51 PM
imo I would still be cautious.  SR accounted for ~300-400 million in revenue a year for bitcoins.  Much of which was from fresh money being brought in by customers.  I don't know of anything else in the same stratosphere in terms of bringing in money into the network.  SR was/is a big deal.  Will there be other sites to take its place?  Sure.. but to what extent they will fill that void remains to be seen.  Also will customers/vendors of these sites be weary about jumping back into this market?

Bitcoin doesn't earn revenue, and SR was mostly neutral for supply and demand.

Buyers bought btc, sellers sold btc to buy product.

great analysis kleeck, thank you.

I'm still expecting some detail from Ken about how mush hashrate AMC is supposed to bring online in november/december.

We are supposed to get a profit greater than those prospected by kleeck's analysis because we could get chips at factory cost, but we still don't know how many we will get, so it's hard to figure out oru profits.

We won't be hearing those numbers for awhile. A few dozen of those 24Th units would be nice  Grin

I can't figure out why we can't hear that. All Ken needs to know to estimate the hashrate is the chips' cost (and he probably knows it in a good approximation, otherwise he couldn't set preorder prices) and the btc stored to invest in chips. So i think he could easily communicate a gross estimate of our expected hashrate.
I would also be happy just to know why we can't get this information at the current stage
