1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: June 16, 2015, 01:22:47 PM
the site is full of scammers...not safe for investors but very good for borrowers

just double checked my stat's and i did 5 Loan's to people from India all A Score, all 5 did not repaid.
And those accounts are still all active, BTCjam did nothing about it!
5 out of 5 late/defaulted is not representative for loans from India on btcam, India has better repayment rate than countrys like Germany, Spain, Unitid Kingdom for example and is just slightly below the sites avg.

Seems like Tulkas connected today , It would be nice to answer us man .
In case you missed my message before "@OP or any other staff members around here , Does the documents like ID or Passport needs to be in English language ? because some people simply aren't from USA , or United Kingdom or any other country that don't use english as main language "
The documents should be translated to English(or possibly other languages the staff members understand) i think i read somewhere in the past if they arent in English from the start so btcjam can understand them.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 16, 2015, 11:40:59 AM

if he can RMA it I agree he should send it back to KNC for a replacement ..for those however that CAN'T RMA say because they are say over the 3 month warrenty already...could they do the following if I remember right.... (note: don't do this others on here will let me know I'm sure if this is a last chance no RMA available thing to try)

anyway I seem to remember some Titan units with incomplete or too think 'thermal paste' on the chips ..thus causing these issues?

if it is a long shot lost hope and you are not eligible anymore for an RMA is that something prudent to try?

but if you can send it back do so and get a replacement ...the catch on that however it has to be at least 2 dies or more or they will not RMA a cube (got 2 cubes with 1 die each
not sure I would have done so..but in the asking last year was shot down with a NO pretty fast by knc)

anyway others on here? is my memory correct or would it not do zip in such a circumstance?

KNC is a Swedish company, if you bought the miner as a private person and not as a company there is no way they can claim that the warrenty period is just 3 months, its at least a 1 year period(when its not the customer responsibillity to show that they have opperating the device correctly) and up to a 3 year period in total. If the same error repeats itself after KNC has repaired the device then after the 3rd time the consumer has the right to return the device and get a full reund of the products cost. If KNC dont follow Swedish laws then all affected customers should get together and sue them in court to get what there entitled to.
4  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: June 16, 2015, 11:04:50 AM
Can you put some statistics about overdue / default loans on btcjam....
so lenders can know how much lending is risky? Thanks
The all time fully repayed loans for the site is increasing gradually, last stat was about 76.94% of all loans that has been taken out have been fully repayed and then there is some loans that is partially repayed and some of them is still active but not overdue so the total repayed on individual payment level is probably in the 85-90% level.
Its always recommended to diversify the investments to some degree, calculations from the fiat P2P lending world showed that one needed to make 146+ investments(but for example 500 was better) if investing equal amount in each investment to be garanteed to have +ROI on lending club, as the default rates is slightly higher and the interest rates is higher in the BTC P2P world its likely that the diversification needs to be larger so in the region of 500-1000-2000 investments will probably be needed to give a equally stable result. If one dont invest blindly in just any loans but choose wisely, then ones investments should be able to outperform the sites avg result a lot.
5  Economy / Securities / Re: Las Vegas Casino Strategy Investment Fund -- Strategy at baccaratforcash.com on: June 16, 2015, 10:15:27 AM
About the Investment Fund:
The site owner claims that his strategy can earn up to 20% per day; that is better than any trading system! Since the site owner promises to use his own money to demonstrate the strategy in person, I will travel to Las Vegas to do so. I will pay for his course only once I have seen the success with my own eyes. This strategy could win BIG and I perceive the risk to be small. The site has been around for 6 years and so far I have not found any complaints.

About me:
I love to trade Peer-to-Peer and I have thousands of satisfied customers--see my page on LocalBitcoins; although I have some bad debts on this forum (I am working on it), I am obviously a reliable individual. I will determine the odds of success before risking any of your hard-earned money, and I am very well-qualified to ensure the success of this venture.

Returns on Investment:
Once I learn the strategy, anyone who invested at least $250 will have that information disclosed to them (by phone or email). This means that you save $1,250 on tuition costs.

My plan is to issue colored coins for every $1 invested; I will return 50% of the profits from this strategy to investors at the end of each day. Returns are paid as daily dividends until all shares are bought back.

Payout Structure:
Up to $5,000 Pledged or Funded: 'A' Shares are bought back at $3 per share OR three times the bitcoin amount, whichever is greater.
Over $5,000 Pledged or Funded: 'B' Shares are bought back at $2 per share OR two times the bitcoin amount, whichever is greater.

If $5,000 is funded, $2,500 must be spent on tuition; that leaves $2,500 in "working capital" earning 20% each day; shareholders receive half of the profits, so $250 is estimated to be repaid each day (assuming that the strategy will always net a profit by the end of the day). If for some reason the strategy fails to return a profit on any day, the fund will be liquidated to make investors whole again and buy back the shares as much as possible.

If you would like to pledge funds, please express your interest here or in private message; I will launch the IPO as soon as $5,000 is pledged. Thanks for reading; Happy trading!  Cheesy
bl4kjaguar you dont need to pay 2 500$ to learn a winning baccarat system, the information is freely avaliable already, card counting for Panda 8 and Dragon 7 on the $100 level has the expected profit of 62.70$ per hour so at 12hrs a day 365 day, then the expected yearly profit is 274 626$. Casinos in the USA have a nasty habit of banning winning players thou but if you have any use for the sytem to save you the 2 500$ tuition cost, information is avaliable here for example: http://wizardofodds.com/games/baccarat/appendix/8/
6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: June 09, 2015, 10:10:11 AM
mmm but basically people look for big loans like 50 BTC , most of people iwll borrow small amount small amount till the one need the loan gets the full amount , let's say who need the amount is from Africa & the borrowers is from Asia , Europe or America or Australia and he don't give them back their money and walk away ? they will use Interpol or what exactly ? I mean how in the world they will sue him for not giving back their money ?? Shocked So unless borrower and who need the loan are from the same country or continant the borrower is screwed ? Shocked not very cool if you ask me
The avg loan on btcjam is no way near 50 btc, its a much smaller amount. There is debt collectors firms that operate internationally in basically every country of the world, there is no reason why they shouldent be able to collect on a loan that has been taken out in bitcoins, its no stranger than if a person in the UK is taking out a loan in Euro for example so a lender could use one or several of them for collection on debts out of there own country. A lender could also sell off bad debt notes in borrowers in countrys far from themself and buy up notes in borrowers loan in there own country or surrounding countrys and take those debts to court if necessary. The best would of course be if the debt collection process would be handled centrally by btcjam and debt collecting firms working together with them.
7  Economy / Securities / Re: How do you invest your bitcoin? on: June 09, 2015, 09:46:47 AM
Is investing in the bankroll of a dice site (like Just-Dice) worth it?
If I left 0.1 BTC in there overnight, what should I expect to have when I wake up the next morning?
The avg interest people can expect get depends on the bankrolls size in relation to the avg daily betvolume on the site, but if we for example look at a situation with a daily betvolume of 10 times the size of the bankroll with a 1% house edge and a profit disturbution of  80% to investors/20% to site owner then one can expect something like 33.9% yearly profit on the initial investment if one left the whole investment in the bankroll at the site for a full year and 29.2% if one withdraws profits regularly.
Maby it could be a good portfolio choise to have something like 10% of ones capital in a dice site if it would have bets in BTC and perhaps 1-2% if it runs on some other digital currency.

These rates re based on your own experience or what?
The actual win/loss one gets from investing in the bankroll can vary a lot if a big whale comes in and bets huge but if a site only has a lot of smaller bets the return will be closer to the expected value.
The 80/20 distrubution is what justdice had when they operated with betting in bitcoins, the house edge is usually 1% or close to that on most dice type sites i think. The size of the bankroll one should be able to see on a serious site the, the same goes for statistics on daily betvolums so one should be able to do such type of calculations for the sites one may be interested in investing in.

Basically the higher the total bankroll is in relation to the daily volume the less profit/yearly interest(as a smaller percentage of your coins is used for each bet) is to be expected.

If ukyo was messing around with tradings on mtgox(witch could explain his claims about the funds currently(back in 2013-14) not beeing avaliable) he should now get back about twice as many coins as he had on mtgox(if the bitcoinprice stays at the currently low level in september when the mtgox funds will be payed back to people as it looks like the refund amount is locked at a fixed usd per coin amount that is way higher than current price. He should then not have any problems paying back the loan 2 000 btc*1.32 = 2 640btc and the other maby 8 000 btc that he owes people from weexchange. Hopefully the great loan will also get solved at that time.
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: please anyone help me on this case..thanks on: June 09, 2015, 08:47:57 AM
Hi gas7uazz i dident see that you were on bitcointalk before, its a bit hard to understand exactly what happened from your post.
Is it just one site you are having trouble with or is it several sites ?

If cloudbet(dot)me was one of the sites you made bets on it seems like they have sportsbets, its more or less standard practice(very bad behaviour thou) among such companys in the fiat betting world in many countrys and online to reduce the max bet amount for those people that are winning(or potentially should win in the long run), some countrys dont allow such negative special treatment on a selected categorys of gamblers(for example gambler that only would bet on "sure bets" where they could never loose, for example a soccergame between lets say real madrid and barcelona and betting site 1 offers 3.1 odds for a real madrid win, site 1 offer 3.05 odds for a draw and betting site 2 offers 3.2 odds for a barcelona win, then if one wants to bet 1 btc in such game one could bet 0.334992 btc on Real madrid win on site 1, bet 0.340484 btc on draw on site 1 and bet 0.324524 btc on barcelona win on site 2 and no matter of the outcome one would get back 1.038476 btc so a garanteed profit of 3.8476% in that example) so depending on what country a company/site is located in leagal actions may be able to be taken to lift the restrictions as the restrictions may be against local laws in the juristiction the gambling site is registered in and/or operate in.

I guess accidents happen , and even if it never happened to me I would like to know from people here who already used the Service ... In case a guy Class A let's say and he is verified and stuff and he scam you and don't wanna pay back ? Does BTCJam pay you back or nothing at all ? and what they do about it
Btcjam dont act as an issurance company in those cases when borrowers is late or end up defaulting on there loans but they do followups,  borrowers that is late on there payments btcjam mails and is calling and such, they said back in september that they where going to partner with collecting agency(s).
But as far as i can tell its not fully incorporated on btcjams site yet. So you cant just sent your defaulted note to a collecting agency onsite and they will collect the full debt in soething like 85% of the cases for a 10% fee on collected amount type of thing yet, but im sure it will come in the very near future as it already has been implemented on several P2P lending sites in the fiat and BTC sector already.

When a debt gets defaulted it will be sent to an arbitrator and you will get an arbitration award in witch the borrowers debt to you and the borrowers known information, name address, phone, social networks and so on is included, this award you can use to either contact the borrower yourself to collect the debt or sent it to a collecting agencys or go directly to court to reclaim the debt and most or all cost involved in collecing the debt depending on in what country the borrower is in.

As its time consuming to follow up on defaulted loans until the site will handle it in a central and more or less automatic way it is in general safer to spread investments around to reduce the risks and reduce the effect of a single default, in an example from the biggest fiat P2P lending site it was calculated that one needed to invest in a minimum of 146 loans to be garanteed to have a positive return (0.02% - 14%) but if one spread it to 500 loans the lowest and highest expected return got a few percent closer to the avg(6.93%) return.

If ones good at judging borrowers way higher avg returns can be achived in the p2p lending sector than the fiat one thou.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: What was BTC price? on: June 05, 2015, 05:30:05 AM
If i remember correctly i think the price was about 4.8$ when i first heard about bitcoins back in 2012.
12  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: June 05, 2015, 05:10:42 AM
The service was good until I got charged 56% for my potential loans. 56% for a weeks worth of loans is absurd. I stopped working with BTCJAM because of such a large jump from 1.35% to 56%. It was good while it lasted.
Btcjam dont charge 56% they charge 4% on loans under 5 btc and 1% on loans from 5btc and upwards.
1% on the equivalent amount of a 1125$ loan is not unresonable at all, 11$ is most likely way less than any normal bank in most countrys or internet fiat lending sites would have as minimum charges.

The now automatically set interests they started with more recently depends on defaultrates in different borrower categories, dont blame btcjam for that as its the borrower that hasent repayed there loans that has caused the situation so btcjam have to set high interestrates on some credit ratings and terms until the repayment rates gets better in them.
So if you for example are verifying more information you will get a better grade and as the defaultrate will be lower on higher grades you will get lower interestrates. You could also make the situation better if you knew any borrower that has defaulted and you can convince them to repay there loans.

The previous problems with some pages that dident load has also been corrected maby a week ago.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 02, 2015, 05:18:44 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
Seen over a longer period of time investing in Gold have always been better than just holding fiat and the interest the banks offer dont beat the inflation so keeping money in the bank is not a good investment option.
14  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: June 02, 2015, 05:00:06 AM
suppose you sign in many faucet websites, stay online for approximately 15 hours a day for a week. raping the faucet cashout and captcha solving MANUALLY. no bots involved.

how much will you earn at the end of the week?

i have been trying to understand faucets. how much you can make out of faucets a week. every person will have a different answer since there over a dozen if not more faucet websites that you can earn.

taking into consideration that we are spending 15hours on btc and ltc faucets altogether for 7 days in a row.
The best thing for you to do is probably to go throu lists of faucets and check how ofthen they can be visited and test to see how much they pay on avg, those capcha solving sites that some people in poorer countrys work on probably pay something like 1$ per 1000 solved capcha so you should probably only do faucet sites where the avg return is better than that if you still have time over you can probably work for some capcha solving site for the rest of the time, if people for example on avg would solve a captcha in 10 sek then 15h a day should have a bottom income of 5.4$ a day or 37.8$ a week for the time spent on such work.

16  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: June 02, 2015, 03:33:51 AM
Sometimes i feel Greece case is so much martketed in media.Portugal already rejected any EU financial help, thay have huge debt, but his debt stop to grow, and now more and more investors are coming there, just becouse thay are EU,IMF free

Greece is picture of big problem what is all EU,IMF,money printing

Finally it has comeback to normal economy, investing instead of rising taxes and cutting spending
If that wil not happen euro will fail andaftereven EU may fail and then reborn one time again

Next victim after Greece will be Poland, i know becouse i am from that country
Why do you think Poland will be targeted by EU and IMF, looking at the debt to GDP numbers Polen was only at something like 50.1% debt to GDP ratio by dec 2014, is the debt growing fast in Polen at the moment ?
If one looks at USAs numbers for example 105.06% in 2015 up from 72.5 % 2012, they look to be in way worse shape than Polen.
17  Economy / Securities / Re: Is BTC Shorting possible ? on: June 02, 2015, 02:40:37 AM
There is several forex sites that offer short/long on fiatcurrencys/btc nowadays and last time i looked a site like bitfinex for example had the possibillity to lend usd that one could buy btc with internally on there site and then you have the obvius option if you currently have assets in the form of bitcoins you can always move those temporary to the other side of the fence, sell them for usd/eur or simular on some exchange and rebuy more btc if the btcprice goes down.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin be around in 5 years? If so, what's its price? on: May 30, 2015, 06:27:56 AM
Yes bitcoins will be around in 5 years time i guess the price will be in the 5 000-10 000 usd/btc range if USA hasent defaulted by then, otherwise the price will be infinite verses that currency.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold Losing It's Shine? on: May 30, 2015, 05:35:29 AM
The most important factor affecting the price of gold is real interest rate.

If real interest rate is more than +2% , then easy money just leaves gold and goes safe harbor "interest". If real interest rate is low than 2% then easy money stays in gold. Whenever FED makes an explanation about the rate of interest it directly affects the price of it.

So , I dont believe gold will increase sooner. Since there is no new quantitative easing and there is tendency of interest rate increase , there is high possibility of decline in prices.

On the other hand, bitcoin has different price dynamics according to gold. To replace the position of gold as a safe harbor , bitcoin (services)  should be more user friendly, easy and massly adopted.
Why would investors prefer investment in a interest bearing paper currency at just 2% interest that also could potentially default depending on what countrys currency it is is, when gold has a way higher avg historical gain verses the fiat currencys.
If we look more recent in history then during 2000-2015 for example gold has increased 118.6% verses the CHF, 148.9% vs AUD, 165.9% vs EUR, 168.0% vs USD and 180.6% vs GBP.

If someone had got a 2% yearly fiat interest they would in 14.5 years just have got 33.2% interest so 2% can hardly be the correct equilibrium point to move values between gold<->fiat even if somone would counted on a 0% default rate for a country.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Satoshi return? on: May 30, 2015, 03:25:18 AM
It would be cool if he did return, maby he can come back in a few years time and buy a "small" island in some nice climate zone and make it a no fiat, bitcoin only "country" or something like that.
