21  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you expect from the halving in 2016? on: May 30, 2015, 03:12:12 AM
I believe the halving in abount 60 weeks time will be yet another factor that will press the price of bitcoins up in the future as the supply of new bitcoins will be reduced and bitcoin miners will act as another press upward on the price for them to remain relatively equally profitable on there mining as before the halving.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: May 30, 2015, 02:43:16 AM
The price of Bitcoin does matter for many people, for example those that invests in, trade, mine or get there salery in bitcoins, also for merchants accepting bitcoins as payment and keep part of there sold amount in bitcoins.
If btc will reach mass adoptation in the future, lets say 1% of a worlds population of 7 billion people will keep on avg 10 000 usd in btc simular to an investment in gold to become more independent of fiat currencys then as less than all bitcoins would have been mined by then the price per bitcoin will have to be over 10 000*7 000 000 000*0.01/21 000 000 = over 33 333 USD per bitcoin to handle the demand from people that want another option when many countrys fiat currencys will default in the future.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the price of Bitcoin on 1 April 2016 - win CBX (Crypto Bullion) on: May 30, 2015, 02:24:25 AM
On the 1 April 2016 12.00 AM i believe the avg price of bitcoin will be 2416.37 USD on bitstamp, bitfinex and simular exchanges.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: May 30, 2015, 02:15:24 AM
Is it even technically possible for Greece to default without taking all other Euro currency countrys with them ?

As far as i remember from when we voted against changing to the Euro there was no exit paragraphs, if a country changed its currency to the Euro there was not possible to exit the Euro and go back to a separate currency so changing into Euro as national currency was a decition that last forever for those countrys that choose to do so.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000? on: May 30, 2015, 02:02:35 AM
What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000?

Let's discuss.
It will eventually get there again without any thing have to change but there is a number of factors can speed up he process for example when new more efficient miners starts to mine, a rising bitcoin difficulty in general, if miners is demanding higher price for there mined bitcoins that they choose to sell, miners keeping a higher portion of there mined bitcoins, bitcoin accepting merchants/bitcoin processors keeping a higher percent of the sold amount in bitcoins, if bitcoin accepting merchants/bitcoin processors try to sell for slightly above marketprice instead of at marketprice in a higher degree than today, if the big investors that has been buying into bitcoin cheep the last 1.5 years decide they have accired enouth bitcoins and that its time for the price to go back up again, time is also a factor that will work in favor for higher bitcoin prices, when the bitcoin halving occurs in around 60 weeks time there will be even more pressure on the price for it to go up for example.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: I need bitcoin to be $690 to break even.....will I make it? on: May 30, 2015, 01:38:21 AM
Will I make it?
Yes i believe so. Hard to say exactly when btcprice will start to rise against the fiat currencys again, it could be a month or it could be a year until we see 1000+usd/btc, i doubt that it will take much longer that that.
27  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you watch Eurovision song contest? Share you opinion on: May 26, 2015, 07:43:31 AM
So.., do you watch Eurovision song contest? Just about to come live on tv now any minute. It happens every year, all EU countries participate to become number one and host the event next year. This time seems like Australia is participating also. Share the songs and predictions if you feel like sharing your vote Wink
Gonna post my favorite after the show Wink
I think Australia has been a member of EBU(European broadcasting union) for a long time(ABBA that won with Waterloo 1974 got very popular downunder so they probably was a member already back then) and broadcast the show every year, they were invited to enter the competition this year to celibrate the 60 year anniversery of the event, that was a nice gesture.
I dident see the whole show just a few songs and some of the voting, cool for måns to win the competition, Sweden has done fairly welll for a relatively small nation in the Eurovision, 10% won, 6 out of the 60 years.
28  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How does BTCJam calculate interest rates? on: May 26, 2015, 06:33:59 AM
Is there anyone with info about the recent change in interests on BTCjam?
Itīs kind of skyrocketed and now its weird levels of interest rate on new loans.
Good for lenders but less good for borrowers. In long term i believe this will reduce the use of jam because itīs to expensive to take a loan.
Rates are 10-35% per month and that is not really ok in my opinion.
Any ideas of how the new calculations are made?

GreenCoin
Btcam seems to take a lot of ideas from prosper, they also use set interestrates for different borrower risk ratings, the problem with some of the changes btcam has made recently is that they dosent look to be enouth thought throu, its not a good time to set locked rates before btcjam have got the defaultrate down to a resonable level like something in the 1-5% level so they should have worked on that part first.
The first attempt btcjam did with locked rates obviously missed the fact that they had to set correct risk premiums, all A rated borrower for example cant have a 0.3% interestrate on a 7/7 loan unless btcjam handles collections centrally as the defaultrate is more than 1 on 333 on such loans so that system led to a lot of investors having negative return and btcjams stat page keept getting worse witch isent good advertising.
I completely agree that the current interestrates is extremely high especially on shorter term loans on the lower credit grades, but the second attempt btcjam did with the current locked rates is probably on a more correct level in relation to the avg defaultrates but people in many countrys and businesses understandable cant afford such rates so the late payments & defaults will probably get worse as the category of borrowers that will still take such high interest loans is limited.

Btcjam really need to step back and take a different approach on the locked interestrates, its ok to cut the top and bottom rates that people offered before the locked rates a bit, for example things like <0.1% interests or >100% interests per month should not be possible to set as uneperienced lenders has a hard time to judge the risks, but there still must be some spectrum of allowed interestrates until btcjam can shown that the defaultrates for the last 12 month period is on an acceptebel level before they force borrowers and lenders into set rates as they clearly dont work good with high default rates.

If btcjam would work more on solving the problems the platform currently have instead before they are introducing more new functions i think the site would work much better for both borrowers, lenders and btcjam.
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2020 years profitable in mining on: May 09, 2015, 08:09:39 AM
example.

2020 years that will be btc price and difficult same what is nowadays will be same profitable if more low profitable will be ?
I believe it will be more profitable to mine in the future, the price per btc will go up, the cost of electricity will go down, there will come more efficient miners that is cheaper to produce in the future. The difficulty will go up to but it will not keep up with the other improving factors.
30  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: May 09, 2015, 06:51:29 AM
Details pls. How does your payouts system works, I suppose dividends. How often, based on what, pls give us a short overview.

Thx

If you're looking for constant dividend payments, we're not the right investment. We are a startup company focusing on growth which means we have very little focus on dividends. Not at this stage, at least. Right now we're putting our money in investments that support our growth plan.
Actually i think your company Bittiraha.fi might be very interesting also for those that want dividend to but they would have to do a little workaround to get it.
If your valuation now is 2 750 000 euro, it should then be at least 2 900 000 - 3 250 000 euro after the funding round has succeded and if your currently process around 1 million EUR of trading volume per month and maby have a net profit somewhere in the 1-3% range of that, then with the added capital and new projects lets you can up those numbers to around 2 million EUR volume per month and an avg profitmarging of 2-4% instead then the valuation of the company should resonable at the very least increase by something like 0.34-2.46% a month. If  somone then wants a monthly dividend then if they for example bought 10 000 shares either directly or throu alcurex they could just sell off maby 0.15-1.2%(15-120 shares) of there stocks each month if the price per stock goes up as it resonably shuld do and they would both get the dividend they wanted and also have stocks left that has a higher value than they initially invested.
31  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this man Dooglus? on: May 09, 2015, 06:37:47 AM
Who is he anyway?
Dooglus is the owner of the just-dice gambling site that at its peak had over 60 000 btc invested in its bankroll, the picture clearly cant be that dooglus.
32  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: About anonymity for Newbies on: May 09, 2015, 06:30:19 AM
There is a number of incorrect statements in what you say.
While using bitcoins is an excellent way to make your purchases, donations, and p2p payments, without losing money through inflated transaction fees, transactions are never truly anonymous. Buying Bitcoin you pass identification, Bitcoin transactions are stored publicly and permanently on the network, which means anyone can see the balance and transactions of any Bitcoin address. Bitcoin activities are recorded and available publicly via the blockchain, a comprehensive database which keeps a record of bitcoin transactions.
There is no need to pass identifications to buy bitcoins, there is a number of exchange sites that has never asked for any type of identification and im sure it will stay that way in the future to and people dont have to buy bitcoins to acquire them, it is for example possible to mine them annonomously depending on how people set there miners up and there is free givaways like faucets and such where people can get coins to.

All exchanges require the user to scan ID documents
An exchange can not just demand that users from any countrys send them scaned ID documents as that is agaist the law in a number of countrys, if they did that they would be commiting a serious crime and will most likely be charged for it, the exchange can only ask for scanned ID documents from people in countrys without laws against such illeagal procedures.

, and large transactions must be reported to the proper governmental authority
Some countrys dont have such policys some does and it also depends on what you would define to be large amount. Here your for example allowed to take the equivalent of around 12 000$ with you each time you pass the border to another country but there is no law regulating how many times your allowed to pass the border each day so you could if you like walk back and forth past the border 100 times(it would look silly thou but thats about it) and absolutely legal take with you 1 200 000$ if you want to. Simular tings apply for electronic transfers to.
. When you use Bitcoin to pay for goods and services, you will of course need to provide your name and address to the seller for delivery purposes.
That also depends, you dont nessesary have to buy things online, and you dont have to identify yourself to be allowed to buy your groceries and such. If you buy things online the goods dont have to be sent to yourself you can for example send them to one of your companys or a boxadress instead if you would prefer that.

But i do agree that mixers could make it simpler for those that want to stay anonymous in the Bitcoin world and avoid compromising privacy, we dont need a new GDR stasi society in the western countrys of today that some countrys try to create in violation of international human right laws.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Kindly help me with meaning of the words in Bitcoin's term on: May 09, 2015, 05:07:35 AM
Same meaning as it is. But actual meaning for faucet is 'pipe settings (or something like that)' here faucet means 'a website which is giving away a tiny rewrd for just visit that website and solving captcha', faucet rotators are the website which is having a list of faucets. And sig. Campaign, which is mostly exists on forums, might be used for publishing/advertising something.

~Rude Boy
You dosent neccesary have to solve a captcha to get a reward on a faucet site, in the early days there was several faucet sites that started out withou users having to solve captcha and there may still sometimes be faucet sites around without the need to fill in captcha but its way rarer nowadays.

It's kind of a bit risky I would say, because you risk even investing in BTC, but here you also risk investing in a casino and an altcoin which depends on a success of a single project (Just-Dice.com). There seems to be some other little projects, but they would hardly save the day if something would happen to Just-Dice.
Bla bla, ok I'm gonna grab some CLAMS and try this Grin

True enough but if JD still had a Bitcoin bankroll I would use their site.
Nothing like getting a portion of the gambling revenues from the whales eventually (variance and all) but at least with Clams the coins value is smaller but it has a stake so an addtional revenue model is nice, it does add two additonal layers of risk verus Bitcoin one it adds an Altcoin to the mix then the price of Bitcoin as an additional relation, and second operator risk, still it is better than most of the ideas I've seen in the thread so far, conversion considered its been pretty stable.

Old members  can just claim free clams and turn them to BTC using their old Bitcoin addresses and move any balance in them to a new address without even needing to buy any clams from an exchange so free BTC in a sense (And I won't get in trouble for saying its practically a giveaway for oldies whistle) all it requires is a 2.53 percent increase in effort to be precise ha-ha
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623147.msg11264272#msg11264272

Why clams? All these other elements seem OK but clams??? Using BTC or some other more prominent alt would be much easier option.
Dooglus the owner of JD had to stop the old casino witch used BTC as gambling currency because of regulatory changes as new laws were directed towards BTC in Canada. But maby it would be possibe for him to in paralell to claims run a few other currencys like LTC and such also if the demand for gambling in other currencys is large enouth.

Yes, my point exactly. If he had to ditch BTC, why clams, there are several more prominent and more secure currencies available.
Oh i guess that it was to promote the claims coin, i think dooglus was the person in the world that had most bitcoinadresses with a balance large enouth on them when claims started to qualify for free coins so he was the one that got most free claims, more than anyone else in the world did get.
35  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: May 08, 2015, 07:18:28 AM

Anyone else getting repeated error 500 in some pages after login?

There has been severe problems with loading some pages on btcjam for the last 1.5 months now, the last time this problems starting was when btcjam added the new 5 currencys BRL/RUB/EUR/INR/MXN the 16 Mars. The /listing_investments  /notes/issued_notes and  /notes pages then started to take something like 6(could possibly be somewhere in the 3.5-7 range for different persons) times longer to load when the avaliable currencys for loans increased from 2 to 7 witch obviously made pages timout as btcjams databases couldent retrieve the data as fast as they did before the change.
The issued_notes page hasent been working at all any time of the day since the change on Mars 16 if you have bought a large number of notes or have a lot of notes issued. The other two pages has also become almost impossible to load recently unless your trying off peak hours.

Btcjam really should be fully aware of the problems as there has been simular capacity problems before for those investors that have many investments and many notes bought/issued so if they did any form of testing before they made the change they knew the problems would occur but obviously didnt care that the site becomes increasingly unusable the more investments an investor makes.

37  Economy / Securities / Re: Secured mortgage borrowing & lending through self-issued crypto-bonds concept... on: May 08, 2015, 05:19:57 AM
The main problem is market liquidity. Bitcoin investment for the most part is quite stagnant, and in order to just do an average mortgage, you're talking about a significant sum of money. It can be done legally, but the cost is going to be rather high due to the required legal structure, permits, ect.
I dont think there any problem with liquidity for bitcoin investment. This ide would basically work simular to the other bitcoin lending sites like btcjam/btclendingclub/... that also have possibilitys to lend in fiat currency denominations but it would also have the added benefit of a real valid security in the form of a house. The other bitcoin lending sites probably have a lending volume of the equivalent of around 1-2 million usd a month in total so around 12-24 million usd a year. The main problem why they dont grow faster than they have done is that they havent got there loan/btc/fiat returnrate up in the 95-99% region yet and that really should be there number one priority to get there as soon as possible, the bitcoin lending site that first gets there has huge potential for increase in volume and will without a doubt grow a lot when they get there.
With your ide of a site with loans with house as security and the loans croudfunded from investors from around the wourld in it i see a huge potential as it should be easy to get the returnrate up in the desired region, so handled right i dont see why you shouldent be able to get past the othere lending sites and easily reach 100 millions $ volumes in a couple of years time.
38  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: May 04, 2015, 06:59:06 PM
Hey guys,

I post these questions a lot recently on different forums but I ve not been able to receive a satisfactory answer. Has BTC economy really turned into a sea of ponzies and scam?
Is there ANYTHING worth of investing these days? Anything which might provide sustainable dividend, regardless of how low it might be?

Pls do not post cryptodublers, pyramid schemes, 5% per day ROI websites and similar junk. Only verifiable and transparent options pls.

Just Just-Dice in my opinion, I haven't seen a service where there is a non-guaranteed but solid chance of return other than that gambling site, not that their aren't good investments around the problem is that they aren't IPO or fundraising at this time.
In my opinion its a good time to wait or sit in cash/btc while waiting for investment opportunities to spring up.

I presumed you wanted an interest bearing investment in the entire crytocurrency sphere that can then be reconverted back to Bitcoin with a solid chance of a positive return in a future point in time.

Since there wasn't much mentioned in the Bitcoin sphere I think the whole crytocurrency system + conversions seems like a better area to look at and we might get some interesting ideas if anyone has any suggestions.

Interesting, could you elaborate a bit on just-dice. How does all this investment process work? What is your personal ROI experience with them?
Your investing in the bankroll of the site on just-dice and gets % of the earned profit  depending on your % of the total bankroll, i think the sites part of the profit is 20% so 80% of the profits goes to those staking the bankroll if it works the same as it did back when the site was btc based.
39  Economy / Securities / Re: Secured mortgage borrowing & lending through self-issued crypto-bonds concept... on: May 04, 2015, 06:34:31 PM
DavidMc0 If it would work simular to how loans with house as security does in the fiat world i surely think there should be a market for that type of secured bond/PTP lending for house loans in the BTC crypto sector. Is your ide that the loans would be tied to a fiat currency like USD/EUR/GBP.. or straight BTC loans or that people can choose anywhere in between (1-99% BTC tied) also ?
