plasma1010 Btc-e, Bitstamp and Bitfinex is all big exchanges and should be good choises, they have been around a long time and most likely will be around for a very long time in the future to. just check there fees and choose the one that has the best conditions for the option your going to use.
82  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Coinbase i Norge.

How many sites are there still actually who offer securities, now Havelock is in its longest downtime so far? I do believe that they'll be back, complete with everyone's money, but that could be a nice opportunity to look left and right for alternatives! Smiley
If you talk traditional bitcoin stockexchanges we have cryptostocks & coinsortium, then if one check under assets on coinmarketcap one can find a number of other platforms that stocks are listed on like Nxt, Counterparty, BitShares, Mastercoin (Omni) & Horizon, how those all work i dont know but i guess its described somewhere on the forum.
85  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Open Source Plans for Modern Tesla Free Energy Generator Released to Public on: February 17, 2015, 01:55:00 PM
What do you guys think of http://www.free-energy-info.com/ ?

There are a few dozens of PDFs, with 100+ designs and patents.
Just pick an invention that dosent cost to much to build, one of those you find most promising and likely to work & produce such devise, if it works great then you can produce energy "free" or at least much cheaper than the current marketprice, if it dosent work then you havent spend to much on it & you could try another thing instead, you only need one invention to work to make a difference...

There is no doubt that energy can be produced in a more environmentally friendly way & much cheper then what the electric companys/cartells currently charge the avg joe around the world for it. The question is not if but rather how much cheeper it can be produced & distrubuted to people.

What does the electric companys & the government charge you for the electricity where you live ? 0.05$/kwh...0.10$/kwh...0.15$/kwh...0.20$/kwh.... if they do charge you 0.05$/kwh or more including taxes why do they charge you such a high premium(500%-2000%+ of the price it could be produced for) for it ?

Can electricity be produced for:
...0.01$/kwh.....  Yes certainly, for example wind power could probably get you around this level or a cheep solar panel in the optimal angle towards the sun would get you electricity at this cost even at 60 degree latitude seen over its lifetime & wave power can get you even lower cost.
...0.005$/kwh..... No problem either, in Sweden for example the avg production price for the water power from water dams is at about 0.0035$/kwh
...0.001$/kwh..... Probably
...0.0001$/kwh.... Maby
...0.00001$/kwh.... Impossible or not, well who knows ? If any of the "free energy" devises works we are probably here or lower i guess.
86  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Graet.Loan - Paying 0.05% interest daily on: February 17, 2015, 10:44:53 AM
graet is everyday at #ozcoin@irc.freenode.net

Thats interesting but why on earth dosent he communicate with his lenders here and/or throu emails and why hasent he payed a single satoushi in interest on his loan for over a year now, the 20 btc(1% interest) he said he was going to pay back in august isent a huge amount, about 4-5 000 usd in current btcprice but it would have been a step in the right direction and would have shown that his intentions were good at least.
Putting your head in the sand and hide isent the solution Great, come back to the forum as soon as possible and explain whats going on and make the promised payments.

87  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Careful with BTC loans on: February 15, 2015, 05:25:37 PM
At least they lost the collateral that they put up for the loan right?
After burnside closed down his BTC and LTC stock exchanges back in 2013 there has been no way for a borrower to use collateral for loans on btcjam.
88  Economy / Securities / Re: How do you invest your bitcoin? on: February 08, 2015, 10:56:58 AM
I've recently got into Bitcoin and I really like it. I can see its benefits for everyone. I use it for purchases when available, but I am also trying to find a good way to invest. I'm not interested in cloud mining. Any suggestions?

Like many others have said just buying bitcoins is an investment in itself, especially in times where big currencys like the EUR & USD may be heading down or into a deep recession/depression that might last for many years. So investing some into precious metals like Gold, Platinum, Silver, agricultural land, forrest property, electricity producing equipment like solar panels windpower, digital currencys may be a very wise move to secure your assets if the paper money of your country may loose (most of) its value in the future.

In the btcinvestment sector there is many different stock exchanges but there hasent been a high number of stocks that has been profitable to just buy & hold so what you possibly could do is do things like arbitrage between different exchanges for basically garanteed profit if done right.
Its also possible to lend out digital currency, safest would of cource be in cases where the borrower have security to offer you, one can also lend to out in unsecured loans on lending sites like btcjam witch has around 1000 activated loans per month.
Btcjam post some stat from time to time about the performance, some months ago they mentioned that the overall repayment rate was 87% and that the repayment rate for A rated borrower had been 98% during 2014.
If you would have invested evenly on all A rated borrowers loan you would have made 22-28% profit during 2014 accourding to btcjams official numbers depending on if you invested in normal BTC loans or USD tied loans. For B rated borrowers the numbers were 18,38%/4,12%, C rated 13,65%/-1,05% and so on.
Lending out btc in unsecured loans is of course risky just like any investment in the btcworld is but If your able to avoid most of the loans that dont get payed back or only gets partially payed back or your able to collect the missing payments throu collecting agencys/courtsystem in the borrowers country you could of couse do way better than those numbers to but its a learning process to get to know what loans to invest in and what loans/borrowers to avoid. If you decide to try it out i recommend that you start with a learning period of a few months where you only invest small amount and evaluate your result so you get better at screening loans before investing bigger. Something like 50%-100% yearly interest is surely possible to achieve as a lender on btcjam if your good at it.

I have 100 computers with good specs and internet 24x7 online at my disposal.I know mining wouldn't be possible. What is the other best way to monitize may be computational power or storage rental like storj.Kindly suggest.
What electricity cost per kwh do you pay where you have them, if you have very low electricity cost it could be profitable to mine coins on some algorithm that is made to be resistant for asics so do the math and check on comparison sites coins with unstable price &/or difficullty might sometimes be profitable to mine for you even if the avg state is not.

Im looking to invest my cold storage stash. Is there some consensus on the rate of return on BTCjam? What can I expect to make annually? Do you see this as a risky investment?

91  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Bitcoin Pool on: February 08, 2015, 08:17:20 AM

Deals done in the background, maybe??
Well I haven't seen/heard anything (unfortunately) and he still owes me 100+  Undecided

I still believe that the following IRC-log from December 17, 2013, is the best clue we have to what happened:
Code: (#weex)
<Ukyo> been fighting gox to coorolate things
<Ukyo> to find out exactly whats what on those orders
<Ukyo> er..
<Ukyo> >,>
<Ukyo> <,<
<Ukyo> i am going to shut up now.
It was written out of context and clearly in the wrong chat.
Trading on Gox was always a thing that i thought was possible that ukyo and Great could have been playing around with but would they really have been doing that unless ukyo were garanteed by the the ceo, his friend that there they would get there funds out when gox went under, it was very obvious that things werent as it should on gox for a very long time and even if the gox mess was the big reason why ukyo cant access a big part of his funds, how would that explain his claims that he cant talk about it, it just dosent add up i think.

94  Economy / Securities / Re: [AUTOTRADE]BTC hedge fund by BtcAutoTrader(The first automated BTC hedge fund) on: January 14, 2015, 02:57:51 AM
bentleysui have you managed to make contact with Kumala yet, when will he manually remove the IPO flag in this stock ?
This shouldn't really matter as dividends can still be paid regardless and that's what needs to start coming out on a regular basis to prove the product is being sold and that the wait was worth it. If not, stop pretending like something is actually going on here. Finally, if there is a legit business going on here, Mr. B needs to be more active in his thread here about keeping his investors up to speed on what's going on. The lack of contact in this thread is annoying.
Dividend should of course have been payed every week for the period it has been missing to based on the profit made during that time, no vote can change that as it dident excist any clause for changing the contract AUTOTRADE have with its shareholders.
95  Economy / Securities / Re: Any BTC exchange IPO worth of investing in? on: January 14, 2015, 02:37:41 AM
crazyivan i think it is worth it to regularly check all mayour exchanges if your interested in stocks, most if not all of the exchanges has had IPOs of new stocks that at the very least has been interesting as trading subject even if the amount of stocks that is a good investment to just buy and keep to the end of time sofar has been very limited.

Did BTC-e, Bitstamp or LocalBitcoins have had an IPO ?
I dont think they ever did, who the owner(s) behind btc-e is semms a bit unclear.A few examples of exchanges that did have an IPO is exchanges like Cryptsys and Vircurex. Vircurex is majority owned by Kumala and does not pay out dividend accourding to its contract and Cryptsys had relatively bad conditions so the dividends is very small in relation to the original stockprice so for investors to breakeven it may need to be around for another 10 years or something if the profitabillity is at current level.

Armis this thread is 3 years old and Kumala havent been logged in for 5 months, but if he happend to come by please make sure to fix the bug and remove the IPO flag for all stocks that shouldent have it active Kumala its been many many months now since it should have been fixed.
99  Economy / Securities / Re: 20 Bitcoins to Invest on: January 13, 2015, 02:18:01 PM
IG_Natrly there is bitcoins stock exchanges like cryptostocks, havelock, coinsortium for example where one can buy stocks but its generally much more risky to buy stocks in the btcworld so you really should spend a fair amount of time learning what works and what dont work before you invest any significant amount of money/btc into such things.

Is there a way to withdraw money from an investment if it didn't fund yet?
You can post a note, you do that in the investments page /listing_investments , then if someone buys your note they take over that investment and you get 96%(4% fee on sold notes) of the price you listed the note for.
