541  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction: 500 Gh/s Mini rig from BFL on: September 06, 2013, 09:59:39 PM
This is for unit number 2, Start the auction at 200btc with increments of 1 btc  this is for a 500ghs minirig from BFL.

Johnk will hold escrow.

This auction will last 10 days or if I decide I get a good enough offer... I tried to post a picture but had an issue uploading, If you are serious, Ill send it via email or pm..

Pm me  with any questions or concerns....

Buyer is responsible for shipping costs as overnight can be expensive.

BA
Witch country are you shipping from so people can estimate how long shipment of the miner will take before it can start mining ?
542  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction: KNCMiner Saturn Order (200GH/s), 1st day delivery. No reserve. on: September 06, 2013, 09:37:04 PM
I sent a support email to KNCMiner asking if the shipping address could be changed. Here's their response:

Quote
We can only change the shipping address of paid orders within the same country. We do not support the change of address with a new account owner. The order will ship to the current account holder.

So there are 3 options the auction winner can choose from:

1. KNCMiner sends the device to my original address.
I forward the package the same day without opening it. Shipping costs to be paid by the buyer in BTC.
If using escrow, the funds will be released after a successful proof of delivery (e.g. http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/proof_of_delivery.html).
The buyer also can pick up the device directly at my place (Austria).

2. I change the shipping address at KNCMiner.
I can change the shipping address to a new address in Austria (but it still would have to run on my name). If you're living in Austria or know anybody who is, this could be an option.
No additional shipping costs here.

3. The miner gets hosted at KNCMiner
KNCMiner offers hosting for mining devices, here's their hosting options. No additional shipping costs here.

Is it possible that KnCMiner accepts a 4:th option, that the one that buys from you picks up the device at KnC in Stockholm, Sweden ?

Yes
544  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Profitability of the new bfl monarchs (600ghs) on: September 05, 2013, 03:41:07 PM
Profitability of the new bfl monarchs (600ghs)
I would say it's looking to be a certain EV- investement even if they would deliver on time, there's no chance you will make your btc's back on an investment in BLF's ASIC at the prices they charge now.
545  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How long will it take to reach 1 billion difficulty? on: September 05, 2013, 03:36:40 PM
How long will it take to reach 1 billion difficulty? What are your thoughts on this?
November 20-25 or so when KnC has started to deliver there 2nd batch of miners.
546  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why is the difficulty sky rocking on: September 05, 2013, 03:33:43 PM
Why is the difficulty sky rocking like crazy?

Old and new ASICcompany's is starting to get there volums up.
547  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: who is this unknown "20% of the network?? on: September 05, 2013, 03:23:27 PM
This kind of distribution cant be healthy for the network for any period of time.
If that rig went down for any period of time transactions would be insanely slow for a while, but eventually the network would catch up and carry on.

Anyone have any guesses as to who this unknown is? I have a hunch that its BFL.

http://blockchain.info/pools

I think BitFury is said to mine at around 2 times ASICMINERS hashrate a while ago when ASICMINER was at 10% or so, so maby 20%+ or so at the moment in the unknown might be from Bitfury if thats true. They have asked blockchain to add there pool to the list i read in some other post but looks like blockchain haven't added them yet
548  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How high will the difficulty be in 60 days? on: September 05, 2013, 03:17:38 PM
4-5 PH/s at least i guess so it should mean 550-660 million or so.
549  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hashrate drops immediately preceding diff rises? on: September 05, 2013, 03:11:38 PM
I've noticed that lately network hashrate drops briefly by ~10% (or more) just before a difficulty retarget. The most recent example of this was (yesterday) was about 100 TH/s.

Does this suggest that some of the large players are deliberately taking their estate offline in order to try and keep difficulty lower than it would otherwise be?

This would strategy would require that difficulty is calculated by the spot network hashrate at the changeover time - is that the case or is it based on a recent average?

Kate.
I would rather suspect that it is some scammy ASICcompany that holds customers ASICS a few days extra and mines with them and orders pickup for big batches for around the time they predicts the next difficulty change is about to happen and sends them out then. Hashrate then recovers a few days later when they scamcompanys have got themself up a decent set of customers miners that they yet again mines with and the delivered miners also start to arrive at customers after from a few days up to maby 10 days later depending on how far away in the world people who bought the miners is located.
550  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It's 86.9M. Do you know where your ASICS are? on: September 05, 2013, 03:03:34 PM
The 2 ASIC miners i ordered from AVLON dissapered somewhere between a worthless paymentprocessor and a scamming company that mined with peoples ASICS and dident deliver on shedule...
551  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining with asics is already dead. on: September 05, 2013, 03:00:35 PM
Your correct psjw4450, ASIC miners bought today will not make there money back at the prices there sold for today.
552  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: KNC miner with hosting not profitable on: September 05, 2013, 02:57:38 PM
KnC miner will probably have a hard time making the money back for those that bought the housting package from KnC, the exception may be those that has there delivery the first 2-5 days or so.
553  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin: On our way to a Petahash on: September 05, 2013, 02:54:02 PM
If KnC holds there schedule and starts delivery 25 sept or so we will see 1 PH about the second day, 26 sept and when there first batch is over around 21 days later, the 15 nov we will probably be at 4-5 PH at least.
554  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin network reach 1 PH/s? on: September 05, 2013, 02:46:17 PM
We have already had 8h avg spikes up in the 950-980 TH region but if you mean more permanent avg at 1 PH/1000 TH i guess we will be there around the 2:nd day of KnC delivery, so i would say the 26 september.....
555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi. Im angelfoxx, a newbie on: September 05, 2013, 11:40:06 AM
hi guys. I'm new. can somebody explain to me how can i earn a bit coin by playing? and do i need to invest money on this? thank you in advance. Smiley
You could try out Dragon's Tale http://www.dragons.tl/ It's a BTC based MMOG casino.

You don't need any btc's to start playing it. For example you get some free money in the game from soldiers and herbs(1btm-1 btc each) that you can find. You could transfer in funds to speed up things but we are a few players that has started with only the free money that has earned several hundred BTC's in the game, so it's possible you could do the same. If you try it out get to level 2 as soon as possible as it will be easier for you to earn money then with access to more islands and get yourself a good mentor ingame, one that can help you with good advices and that gives you rakeback....
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: September 04, 2013, 05:00:20 PM
hmm.. i made a deposit to the address i always use at just-dice, after 3 confirms the site transfered the funds away to other adresses so the site has clearly seen the transfer by now but it hasen't shown up in my account at just-dice yet, the deposit is up to 5 confirms now, this is starting to get silly...Isen't it 1 confirm until the funds should show up like the deposit message say and it has been before ?

Is the commision changed to 10% now by the way, i havent noticed that before, when did it change from 5% ?

Edit:  It just showed up, thanks dooglus/deb...
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 04, 2013, 01:56:57 PM
VAT should be included in the price on anything(that has VAT added, witch is pretty much everything in Sweden) that you buy from a company based in Sweden.
The VAT that is added is 25% on these type of things in Sweden, so the price without VAT is 80% of what you paid, for example on the    6 995 usd miner it's price is in reallity 5596 USD and has 1399 USD added in VAT(Moms). If your in another EU country thats all you have to pay. Theoretically if your in another country with lower VAT you may be able to get the Swedish VAT you paid for the miner refunded if you collect the miner in person in Sweden and manage to convince the costums it's a tourist mergendise you bought, but that is a bit far fetched i guess, anyway you will then get a refund on the Swedish VAT (1399 USD) and instead pay (your lower) VAT in your own country if you succed with that....
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: looking for a coin developer on: September 04, 2013, 07:53:59 AM
I have a few ideas for a alt coin i want to have built for me . If anyone has any experience in making alt coins pm me . Have btc and usd looking to pay some one or a partnership.
If you have BTC's maby you should pay off the rest of your BTC loan first on BTCjam, it looks like you still have half the loan, 3.33232 btc left to pay back there ?

https://btcjam.com/users/5687

If your still are a little short to pay it off, maby try minig the most profitable altcoin witch you can check here http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/?cal=1 if you have some decent GPU's or buy btc's at some exchange https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Buying_bitcoins.
559  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: wtb 1btc using paypal on: September 04, 2013, 07:41:32 AM
Buying bitcoins with paypay is problematic as people can use paypal to make chargebacks. You can use paypal money to buy bitcoin at the exchange VirWoX https://www.virwox.com/ thou. You have to buy SLL there first and then buy BTC's for the SLL and there fee's is pretty high, first time people use paypal to buy at VirWoX they hold the funds for 48 hrs i think, to reduce the risk for chargebacks.
