241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [Cryptostocks] Scrypts Mining - legit or just a SCAMM? on: March 28, 2014, 07:44:00 PM
So this added to their new homepage:

Administrative and Support Address:
Mirae Asset Tower 166 Lujiazui Ring Road Pudong
Shanghai
200120
China

Email: admin@cryptostocks.com

weird. they are official from cryptostocks?? Huh

And the places of the datacenters were added.

Looking better, but stil very anonymous and just a little bit suspisious

There probably not Cryptostocks/Vircurex/kumala unless thats where the stolen Money from Vircurex and the missing Dividends to shareholders went to fund that mining park. If it had been kumala behind it, why wouldent he have said it from the start ?

They also claim to be selling gridseeds 5chip miners for 135 usd each in orders of just 300 devices, but thats prices you would not even get to if you buy directly from Gridseed in quantity's of 5000+ units so thats just not possible for them to resell profitable at those prices, they must be a scam and just try to use cryptostocks emailadress without permission to hope to attract some buyers before they dissapear.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Ticker    COINFARM - DigitalCoinFarm
Date   26 Mar 18:53 Day-30, dividend paid.
Please set your email account,s 2fa enable.  Some people is reporting their stock account been hacked. The password has been reset by others.

Set your email to be un-visible
Set your email,s 2fa function to enable

The owner of cryptostock said, reset password without enter 2fa code is method to let people who lost their device to access their account.

So we have to protect our email account.

If we disclose (visible) our e-mail we might have a backup if the site ever goes down and you could still operate in private. If we set invisble it's hard to proof if the shareholder is legit or not.

Our e-mail adres is only visible for CEO's of each project to their shareholders. That means they need to hack your account to see our e-mail adres.
The problem is that many people have stocks in a lot of companys and there is a lot of SCAM company's/listings on cryptostocks so until kumla has fixed all security issues on the site it's not safe to show your emailadress to the share issuers unless your certain that none of the company's you have stocks in isn't a scammer that may use your emailadress to hack your cryptostocks account.
The fact is that a lot of listings on cryptostocks is scams only setup to steal people bitcoins then it isen't that far fetched that one or more of those scammers, some of them scammers is probably behind 5-10 listings each(as there has been an explosion of very poor listings since November and onwards) on cryptostock would also hack peoples accounts to steal even more bitcoins/litecoins/devcoins.

A simple change kumala can do is let people enter a public bitcoin(, litecoin & devcoin)address and to let them show share issuer that instead of an emailadress or let investors pick one by one what listings they want to show the emailadress for and not like now none or all listings your invested in.

Another simple thing Cryptostocks should do to increase security is to also give you the option to set and lock for example 1-5 bitcoin(, litecoin & devcoin) adresses that is the only adresses you can withdraw to, that would take away the incentive for the hackers to hack accounts if they can't withdraw any funds.

Ukyo is just begging himself to be sued now.

I don't understand why he has said NOTHING in over 2 months now.

I've e-mailed him several times and he just stopped responding.

I'm willing to sign an NDA if it means he can share at least some of what is going on. Really, *anything* when it comes to the ukyo.loan funds.

Given that Ukyo still owes me about $150,000, it would definitely make sense for me to start talking to my lawyer.

Ukyo would have no option in that situation but to declare bankruptcy.
He should at least be attempting to work with his creditors and coming up with some kind of plan to get at least some of his money back. He must realize we will not wait forever. I'm getting pretty pissed off.

He clearly wouldn't have to declare bankruptcy for that small sum $150 000/250 btc, but i guess the legal system would then have to look at all the money he owes to people and if he's possible investments he claims to have done haven't started to produce enough bitcoins yet it may be problematic for him if they can't handle his assets wisely until they do bare fruit, then all people he owes bitcoins may end up getting back less than 100% back.

@Seb: why send a letter to Oz and not the States?

Weexchange is registered in australia primarely, as far as i know. And i guess using an american lawyer will be costlier than an australian one when he gets what amount it is about. At the end i only want information first since i dont believe sueing simply will yield any good result. weexchange and ukyo dont have money to be sued out of them.
He does clearly have some holdings worth some amount of bitcoins, the easiest ones is whats tied to a public bitcoinadress known to had the 232 000 activeminer shares at bitfunders closure that belonged to ukyo, that adress, 1Mn65Q9Xm6NBoPdF8ppS3AzgRLt92ZKtTq also had other holdings:

Thats around 1500 btc for those holdings alone.
If Ukyo also had other accounts/public adresses with bitcoinstocks in them on Bitfunfer or stock holdings on other platforms like BTCT-CO i don't know but it seems very likely.
There has also been several threads on bitcointalk where people seems to connect A couple of transfers of ~5000-7000 btc on 2 occations to a mining company and a bitcoin mining hardware producer, whether they got things right when they traced the flow of bitcoins and it was in fact Ukyo buying shares off the open market in the mining company and/or buying mining hardware from the hardware producer i don't know, i guess only ukyo and the 2 company's can tell.

Clearly some positions would have to be sold off carefully, dumping shares on the market wouldn't do any good for the price Ukyo get's for the shares and other things thats not listed may take time to find a buyer at resonable prices and if he in fact has holdings in the mining company that has had some problems sofar those will at least start to generate some btc back now and if ukyo possibly have started to get miners in the 100's of TH they would resonable be producing a fair amount of BTC each day for him now then.

In Ukyo loan it's pretty simple math Ukyo owes people around (2000-76,95)*(1+(0,015*3,5))~2024 BTC
In the weexchange balance matter it's a bit harder to know as we don't know how much of it that belonged to ukyo and whether his and/or cryptosyprus balances was included in the 6.175%, but around (386/0,06175)-386 = 6251-386 = 5865 BTC

I really don't think it will be good for anyone if people started 20 different leagal processes agains Ukyo that would just mean more costs for all parts and less money left to those ukyo own money, ideally Ukyo, Graet and cryptocyprus would talk more openly about what is beeing done and if/what people can do to help Ukyo/Graet to get back on there feets and sort this out as fast as possible.

Well i guess the obvious would be if everyone in the bitcoin community would point one or more of there Bitcoin miners & Litecoin/scrypt miners to Graets Ozcoin pools https://ozcoin.net/ and https://lc.ozcoin.net/ ,there hashrate is a bit weak at the moment and i think Graet would need and appreciate all the help he could get and by helping Graet you would not only be helping Graet and Ukyo but also indirectly be helping the something like 200 people that loaned Graet and ukyo money in there loans and also be helping the unknown amount of people that have funds stuck in weexchange get there bitcoins back, witch in many cases would mean yourself to.

Maby someone that actually have got any information whatsoever outside of whats been said in the open on bitcointalk from Ukyo/Graet/cryptocyprus in this whole Ukyo loan/Graet Loan/Weexchange mess would care to share some light on what really is going on and not just claim they can't say anything either.
244  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: March 26, 2014, 04:30:24 PM
This is really getting redicules, Deprived has now been gone from bitcointalk 12 more days after his 4 post 13-14 mars and before that he was gone for 3.5 months, wtf is going on.
245  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: March 26, 2014, 04:21:19 PM
If Sebastian only had funds stuck in Weexchange(or if he is mostly interested in what happened to the rest(5870? BTC) of the  ~6256?(386/0,0617) BTC in weexchange) and not in Ukyo loan, with Weexchange beeing registered(?) in Australia the logical would be to send the letter to the Weexchange's adress in Australia and not directly to Ukyo even if Ukyo that has handled most of Weexchanges business is in the Usa and it's Graet that is in Australia.
Or maby it's just because it's simpler to handle a process within the same country as he's using an Australian lawyer.

There are actually 2 WeExchange companies. One in the US and one in Australia.
Oh ok, that sounds a bit strange unless one of the two Weexchange companys is technically owned by the other, witch one were people that used Weexchange only to get BTC funds in and out of Bitfunder using, the Weexchange company in Usa or the one in Australia ?

Here is a discussion on reddit about using P2Pool :
http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemining/comments/1uncvb/the_benefits_of_mining_using_p2pool_better

Here is a graph of P2Pool luck :
http://p2pool.info/luck/

Here is a thread that compare p2pool vs pools :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=416933.0

Quote
The math shows that p2pool will come out better over time (plus lower fees, in theory lower orphans, mining right to your own address so no worries about lost/stolen coins), many people are impatient or haven't read enough and won't give p2pool a few months to show its benefits.
The OP is discussing doing a longer-term test to show this.  Pools have plenty of variance so even if the math shows that p2pool is going to come out ahead, there are weeks where it won't.  And visa versa, weeks where it would come out way ahead.

The info about stales on p2pnetwork and the fact that pool operators is at 0ms may give them a big advantage then so maby the return will be very good on p2pool mining. Maby it will be better to have a higher % of the miners at p2pool than what other numbers would indicate beeing the optimal then.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: DigitalCoinFarm - Get shares to build your own cloud scrypt asic miner today on: March 26, 2014, 02:45:56 PM
Sorry.  I was busy this week. And didnt check infomation and mail often.
I didnt check message here, please mail directly to me info@digital-coin-farm.com

And about p2pool,  I dont think it soooo bad.  After some test, I'm getting 5% profit more than cex.io. ( 105% ).  but you have to wait longer ( p2pool current have about 241T hash power, it require 36 hours to slove a block,  not 2 or 3 weeks ).

But payment is good.   And you might think,  it's not big deal about 3-5%.    We will have 20t hashrate, and we might get over 40t later.
for 20t, it's about 2 btc daily.  3% means, you can gain 2.06 btc daily.  I will test longer and compare with other site.

And if you want daily dividend,  we can do a easy math.  We can avg last 2 or 3 days's profit ..and pay daily.  So we can get higher return and daily dividend.

And some people ask me...Isnt this a scrypt project?  Well, It was.  But ltc diffculty rising crazy ( ...last week was 1.7% ..but if you do some math..avg is high ).

scrypt-n's profit is a bit higher than scrypt..but no too much for now  ( I believe it will grown up, but not now ).

And it's just time for asic sha256 miner,  it's hard to get in usa market. but it's easy to get in china market.  So our project can get miner before others.

Time is money!

And it's hard question... Should we get more gpu miner now?  dailly profit are lower than before, and scrypt miner is going to release. It's hard to decide.

Sorry for delay to respond.

Ok thanks for explaining how things on p2pools works. So all p2pools works together then, people mining on p2p pool A will get payed when someone on p2pool B finds a block and so on then ?
If that is the case and there return matches there Hashrate they might be a viable option to then.

from digitalcoinfarms message 25/3 on CS
"Currently, we are getting 93-95% profit rate, because pool lag, doa, time expire.....internet laggy"
If it's that bad return mining on cex.io at the moment it might be a good ide trying Eligus or Btc guild out with a few miners already at this stage.

Is it possible to set backup pools in the mining software on the BTC mining hardware you got, a second/third mining pool as fallback options if there is problems on the main pool your mining at ?

Anyway it might be a good ide to spread the miners out on the different big pools when you get 14/20TH, based on last weeks hashrates and the fact that cex.io was working bad for you, maby something like this:
16-22 mars
          %of found                                                             number miners
             blocks                info                                     14TH    20TH      40TH
Eligus      14.01%  (4962 TH pay txfee, 0% fee)                4-6       5-7      10-14    merged mining supported http://eligius.st/wiki/index.php/Eligius_mining_pool
cex.io      27.58%  (9773 TH ? if the pay txfee, 0% fee)     3-5       4-6        8-12    merged mining supported   http://ghash.io/
discusfish 12.38% (5129 TH ?%fee)                                 2-3       2-4        4-8    ? if merged mining supported http://www.f2pool.com/
Btcguild   14.86%  (5264 TH pay txfee,3% fee)                  1         2-3        4-6     merged mining supported https://www.btcguild.com/
p2p pool     0.51% (181.5TH. pay txfee,0-0,5%? fee)          1         1-2        2-4     merged mining supported http://p2pool.in/
ozpool        0.60% (211.8TH pay txfee 1% fee)                  0           1         1-2     no merged mining https://ozcoin.net/

And see how things works out after 2-4 weeks of mining.
Merged mining adds about 1.5003% for namecoins, 0,0481% ixcoin, 0,01781% devcoins, so it's around 1.5% extra if a pool has merged mining.

Expected income on avg for miners when the pool finds a block.
Eligus   25.475 ((25.1+0,375)*1)
Cex.io  25.375 ((25+0,375)*1)
discusfish ?
Btcguild 24.711 ((25.1+0,375)*0,97)
p2ppool 25.348 BTC ((25.1+0,375)*0,995)
ozpool   24.849 BTC (25.1*0,99)

and avg time to find a block for the different pools (based on 144 blocks per day, in reallity it's slightly more as long as the network difficulty keeps increasing) and blocks per day would look something like this
                     avg time to
                     find blocks      Blocks per day
Eligus              1h 11m 23s     20.17
cex.io              0h 36m 15s     39.72
discusfish         1h 20m 47s     17.83
Btcguild           1h 07m 18s      21.40
p2p pool           32h 40m 47s    0.73
ozpool              27h 46m 40s    0.86

If you spread out the miners over several pools the variance on BTC generated per day/week/month will be reduced and problems at a single pool will effect you less.

You can find interesting statistic on pools here http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/2014/03/march-23rd-2014-weekly-hashrate.html#!/2014/03/march-23rd-2014-weekly-hashrate.html or here less detailed here http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/top.php

What happened in the FAS stock on cryptostocks, the public shares suddenly increased by exactly 3 000 000 shares and i can't see that there has been any 3 000 000+ shares sold at 0.000003 recently ?

So with that venting out of the way, is this the definitive thread on the topic?
If not, where is the best summation of events and status?
I'll chip in to sic a lawyer on his sorry ass - who's coordinating?
Why can I not even access my 6.175%? (I can log in, I can see my balance, can't get to it)
Is the google doc spreadsheet (linked above) of any use? If so, how do I add my loss?
Edit: when I signed up for WeExchange, the website seemed unambiguous that WeExchange was Graet. What is his role in this, and why is he silent in this thread?
There are many threads but this one is probably the best to follow.

Timeline:
  • 2013-07-08 Bitfunder closed for us-residents and verification needed
  • 2013-10-17 Weexchange withdraw problems was first reported. Withdraws remained "processing" / "Could not connect to 2nd stage server" errors. Bitcoind kept crashing, according to Ukyo. Withdraws occasionally worked but the error appeared more often.
  • 2013-11-04 Bitfunder closed
  • 2013-11-12 Ukyo claims he still does manual withdraws from Weexchange funds though its probably the last time.
  • 2013-11-?? Legal issue started around here, according to Ukyo.
  • 2013-11-16 Ukyo removed the deposit address from Weexchange.
  • 2013-11-?? Danny from NeoBee got involved in fixing the issue.
  • 2013-12-17 Weexchange claim portal opens, allowing users to withdraw 6.175%.
  • 2013-12-29 Weexchange's bitcoind client is affected by the "block 277596" issue.
  • 2013-12-30 Ukyo opens the ASICMiner claim portal.
  • 2014-01-22 ActiveMining's CEO starts selling Ukyo's personal ActiveMining shares to recover what he is owed.

SOSLOVE868 is currently talking to lawyers about a case against Ukyo.

The spreadsheet was created to figure out how much btc was stuck in weex. The spreadsheet is not of much use now because Ukyo said how much btc weex had available in December (the 6.17%) which makes us able to calculate how much is still stuck in weex. This number turned out to be much larger than what was accumulated in the spreadsheet.

Graet is the Director of Weexchange. He is probably needed, since Weex an Australian company and Ukyo (the owner) lives in the US.

Ukyo was active on IRC yesterday. AFAIK it had been weeks since his last message. Nothing more than a sign of life though, just a "hi" and some guidance to someone who needed a reset of his 2FA.
Thats a good summary of things, I think you got that a few date's wrong thou:

from Ukyo's post the 4 nov
"In connection with BitFunder’s shut-down, please note the following points, which supplement the points outlined in BitFunder’s October 8, and October 11, 2013 notices:
* As of November 14, 2013, no BitFunder user will be able to enter into any new positions or sell positions on the BitFunder website.
* On December 2, 2013, bitcoin balances in the accounts of all users will be transferred to their WeExchange accounts."

I think 8 Oct not 8 July was when us-citizens needed to get verified but they were still allowed to keep trading for a while after that if they got verified and the final trade stop for all users on Bitfunder was the 14 Nov not the 4 Nov.

Ukyo have been writing on IRC within the last hour:
Code: (#bitfunder)
<Ukyo> hi
<nsa_> hello
<Syloq> Shhh.
* nsa_ whispers
<nsa_> any progress?
<Sebastan> i have to second that question. ukyo?
<Ukyo> for loan stuff? lots of stuff moving forward
<Sebastan> im interested into weexchange...
<Ukyo> sigh. I could say "Yeah, things are moving forward, but I can't tell you anything"
<Ukyo> but thats not exactly how it is
<Ukyo> I wish there was some movement on things
<Ukyo> I would love a chance to say that there has been something
<Sebastan> what about telling us what happened...
<Ukyo> thats kind of wrapped into things
<Ukyo> And to be honest, no matter what I say, unless I can provide proof backing it, will be refuted
<Sebastan> i mean you probably can see that its a bit strange not getting told what happened with ones own bitcoins. i cant imagine a situation where it would hurt to tell the truth. i mean the hacker (or whatever) already knows what happened.
<Ukyo> I was actually hoping that by now most people would have somewhat of an idea of whats going on
<nsa_> Can you say whether the situation at gox is related to weex?
<Sebastan> i cant believe in a gag order since i dont see a sense in it. they are used for catching criminals. stopping a service would stop that purpose.
<Ukyo> nsa_: for all intensive purposes i am only saying that I did not steal the bitcoins
<Ukyo> Sebastan: So many responses I wish I could make. :)
<Sebastan> anyway... i think the letter to you should be on the way already... or is it with you already?
<Ukyo> ?
<Sebastan> from my lawyer
<Ukyo> I havent seen anything ?
<Sebastan> ok... then i have to check back with my lawyer...
<Ukyo> what country did you send it to ?
<Ukyo> heh
<Sebastan> i gave them the weexchange address in australia
<Sebastan> its an australian lawyer
<Ukyo> ah yeah, that would take some extra time to get to me

That mostly sums up the 68 previous pages.

@Seb: why send a letter to Oz and not the States?
If Sebastian only had funds stuck in Weexchange(or if he is mostly interested in what happened to the rest(5870? BTC) of the  ~6256?(386/0,0617) BTC in weexchange) and not in Ukyo loan, with Weexchange beeing registered(?) in Australia the logical would be to send the letter to the Weexchange's adress in Australia and not directly to Ukyo even if Ukyo that has handled most of Weexchanges business is in the Usa and it's Graet that is in Australia.
Or maby it's just because it's simpler to handle a process within the same country as he's using an Australian lawyer.

kumala if you are reading you should translate "with significant unrecoverable losses" into percentage:

what % of LTC is missing, what of BTC, FTC, TRC.

at least people can figure out what's the best strategy to adopt here. everybody going bonkers and printing crazy prices (or maybe not, it all depends on the %)
I think it was approximately the equivalent of 2 500 btc and 20 000 usd they lost about a year ago you can read some about it in there shareholders qarterly repports here https://vircurex.com/welcome/investors or search biitcointalk for additional info about it.

By the way Kumala the Feb 2014 repport that should have been published the first week in mars is still Missing

Do/will you have only bitcoin tables in the pokersite or will you also have tables in fiat like USD, EUR, GBP... to ?
If you do/will have fiat tables also, will your sites fiat tables be part of any poker network like ipoker/merge/microgaming or so for a bigger playerbase from the start.

About the solo mining, Thy is right. We don't have enough hashrate for solo mining.
The variance will be too great. We cannot wait 20 days per block. What if we miss blocks for 2 months ?
This is too much risk.

Did you send the admin an email, did he reply ?

No i havent mailed him, but feel free to relay it to him if you like.
May be good if he has the time to checks in 5 min once or twice a week on bitcointalk to keep in touch with shareholders.

I keep getting this page from Havelock:
"One more step
Please complete the security check to access www.havelockinvestments.com

Why do I have to complete a CAPTCHA?
Completing the CAPTCHA proves you are a human and gives you temporary access to the web property."

And even if I complete it, after about 15 minutes it pops again when I refresh.

Anyone have the same issue?
Fabrizio89 are your ISP having shared IP's with 100's-1000's users under the same IP or are you connecting to havelock throu some proxy, that might be the reason then. CloudFlare seems to become crazier by the day.

It appears one cannot buy shares in WPOOL. The order book is missing and an error comes up when one tries to buy.
Have you pulled the listing or what?

Is the domain name btcquick.com count as an asset?
Yes both the corporate name btcQuick and the domain https://btcquick.com/ has some value for a potential buyer in the bitcoin sector, maby someone behind a similar business can buy it and get part of the thousands of customers btcQuick had as new customers in there business in the future.

Wolftechs anouncement today 24 mars
"Monday/Weekend Dividends due @ 1600h GMT - Vircurex issue
The weekend dividends are due at 1600h GMT.
Vircurex has halted Bitcoin withdraws
https://vircurex.com/welcome/ann_reserved.html
This currently affects us as autotrade is performed on this exchange and the Bitcoin profits are used to supllement the dividends daily.
Autotrade has ceased on Vircurex for the present time. This should not affect divdends too much as about 10-20% of the net dividend payment was made on this system presently.
I am using Cryptsy at the present time and leaving the Bitcoin holdings in Vircurex. (Sold DVC for 47% increase) WIll be paid when Bitcoin withdraw opens up or a time when DVC settles and can be converted back and move to another exchange for liquidation.

Regards

Shane"

It dosen't seem like Wolftech understand the scale of things, you just sold DVC(that you could withdraw from Vircurex) for BTC and left BTC in the form of BTC at Vircurex, that sometime today will become frozen for probably the next 15 years(if your lucky and can get them out at all...). Or are you taking a gamble that your holdings is so small on Vircurex that they will let you withdraw your frozen BTC funds this year ?

Announcement by Coinfarm 18 Mar
"....Let us wait tomorrow.... I might need to build a p2pool for our  14 x 1T asic miner...."

and announcement today, 23 Mar
".....So we will have about 19-20t hash rate. According this, I'm building our own p2pool. Someone said if i have enough hash rate Your own p2pool will incresased your daily profit. We will test it 16 more miner to come "

Running your own pool with 14 TH or later 20 TH is not a wise decition, you will most likely get a lot worse return, maby no return at all than having the miners at a big pool, preferable one with low or even 0% fee like Eligus.

The current Hashrate is 40 432 845 GH/s and you will have 14TH, 14 000 GH/s soon, thats 0,0346253% of the hashrate, it will on avg take over 20 days to find a block and in the mean time your miner gives no return whatsoever, 0%. In 1.0 days time the difficulty increases by around 18% and the 14TH is expected to only find a block every 23,66 days if you run your own pool and after around 12 more days it gets maby 15-20% worse again and so on, if your really unlucky you may never(not very likely but possible) find a block solomining.
So whoever gave you the advise to solomining with 15-20 TH really wasent thinking straight, there's for example 36,89% chance you find 0 blocks in your 14TH miners first 20 days if the difficulty woulden't increase from now in that timeframe but we already know it will go up in that time(a resonable expectation would be +56 to 70%) so the chance to find 0 blocks solomining will be higher.

The only resonable thing to do is to mine in a big pool with sha256/Bitcoinminers unless you have way over 1 000 TH and even then it's a gambling that in many cases would be negative.
