It's a lot.  I've my own business now just because of Bitcoin and this forum.

As I said above, there's nothing wrong if they asked a public address as long as your private key is safe, besides, it's their staff who asking for the public address.

Yes, those air-gapped wallets offer excellent security benefits, they're best suited for users who have a good understanding of the technical aspects of cryptocurrencies and are willing to invest time in learning the setup and usage process.  But, for non-techy people, IMO using a reputable hardware wallet with a more user-friendly interface might be a better option to ensure both security and ease of use.

However, you can try if you pursue yourself using an air-gapped wallet but make sure you already tested it already with a small amount first.

As long as you're using a decentralized platform, no one can stop you because there are no intermediaries involved in the Bitcoin which is purely decentralized.  You may encounter problems when you mix it up using decentralized and using centralized platforms.

Why a barcode instead of a QR code?
I have read that barcodes have limited data capacity and can typically store a small amount of information, such as product identification numbers not like QR codes have a much larger data capacity than barcodes.  They can store various types of data, such as alphanumeric characters, binary data, and even hyperlinks.

IMO, the QR code has more advantages than the barcode.

IMO, that's normal of course to see the 7 addresses that you have and which one the right you chose and use.

As for tools to view these metrics, there are numerous options available depending on your preferences.  Some popular tools include financial news websites, trading platforms, that IMO dedicated market analysis platforms, and financial data providers.
But if I were you, just hold your asset for a long term and do sometime DCA way of purchasing Bitcoin, monitoring metrics doesn't important if you understand how Bitcoin will work.

I freshly remember that I was also nearly a victim and almost compromise my Electrum wallet but luckily I know that it is safe to download on the official website.  This is on the desktop and not in the Android app, the version mentioned by OP was vulnerable to hack and there's a pop-up message that says you can't proceed with your transactions not unless you need to install a new version by the given link in the pop-up message.

So the comment above was right, you downloaded the fake Electrum app on your desktop and you're not alone because I saw here before someone posting the same problem as yours.  If there's any amount left, just transfer it quickly because that's already a compromised account.
