781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Something important is coming soon on: November 28, 2022, 11:59:39 PM
I learned to consider this kind of tweet FUD, doesn't matter the subject in question.
I tend to agree and it seems to me like a FUD, it seems like he warned people not to panic and hold their ETH, because seeing like this seems there's a dump, IMO.

It seems annoying seeing trusted people tweeting this random stuff, it seems like a clue.
Why do those people have a lot of drama, like CZ and now Vitalik?
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 11:30:02 PM
I'm lucky that my country and my government didn't against Bitcoin.
If I were the government, I wouldn't but instead, implement regulations and becomes Bitcoin a legal tender.  We know that there's no intermediary who can control Bitcoin, but you can use this as an advantage of the revolutionary blockchain as we know our technology evolves.

There are too many ways how to use blockchain networks which makes an advantage to our government.  Something like online crypto payments for real estate auctions, taxes, and fees.  So how could anyone be against the utility of blockchain aside from storing the value?

My advice, don't sell.
Not planning to ! :- Wink
It's a good decision.
Because there are a lot of ways to determine the changed hand account owner and your account becomes worth nothing when it's proven.
Plus another factor of a possible scam, this kind of transaction won't allow on this forum and you're not safe from making transactions outside because you can't use a trusted escrow that comes from this forum.

I have tagged a few newbie users who attempted to sell their main accounts and woke up from a deep dip sleep and posted a thread like this.
If I were you, don't attempt to sell your account.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion. on: November 28, 2022, 03:25:42 PM
Most people see Bitcoin as a religion and a must to believe in it and and feel left out if they aren't.
One of the reasons people who believe so much in Bitcoin is the possibility of making money with minimal effort.
Do you really see Bitcoin as a religion?
Is that not just you only believe in Bitcoin, it's just because the utility of Bitcoin is the reason I trust and believe in this digital currency.
Though it's a valuable asset, you can't treat this the same as your religion, it's a different thing because you never think it's religion when someone owns gold or a bunch of money.  You can't pray to Bitcoin itself to increase the price quickly so that you can get your profit, that's not how it will work.

It needs worldwide adoption so that the demand will increase that makes the price will increase too.  It's simple to think that the price was based on the demand and the supply which makes the price grow up, with minimal effort but it needs your patience which for sure it's time-consuming.

No.
785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10K BTC Linked to Mt.Gox Moved! on: November 28, 2022, 02:56:50 PM
Nothing we can avoid, even that whale just dump all of his bitcoin, we can only do 2 things, just keep Hodl or buying the dip when he dumped his bitcoins. No need reason to sell as well when he dumped.
You are right, some of our people does not comprehend the investment of Bitcoin during the bearish market and bullish season, in actual sense for people who have known the genesis of cryptocurrency investment, they do not invest in shitcoins during the period of bullish market, i believe that keeping your coin when the market is on bullish is the best method of investment, some people do panic and sell out their Bitcoin when market is going more dip, the only way we can make profit via cryptocurrency investment is through long hold of Bitcoin and buying addition of Bitcoin for investment.
The line that I bolded above made me confused.
Because usually when I see that my profit was there when there's a bull trend market, I cut it off so that I already have my profit and the rest just keep it again for an investment for a long period of time.

As you've said, whales moving a lot of bitcoin are no longer uncommon. Whether it's from Mt.Gox or any exchange, there will always be transfers that will happen.

Having that much bitcoins that should be refunded to the affected users of it is hard to be dumped at all once and whoever who has it now, knows that fact.
AFAIK, there's a going investigation about the Mt.Gox scam and I think if this is not a whale, it's a scammer trying to move away his Bitcoin holding.
The big question here is no one will really know, once that address owner will use the mixing service, it will surely disappear and no one can trace where that transaction is.

Another reason why the market can't quickly recover.
786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: November 27, 2022, 11:59:31 PM
Be careful on collecting potential altcoins, because might you will fall into their trap, tested and top altcoins in the crypto market cap would be better but still, it's crucial to invest.  I would stick on investing in Bitcoin and hold it in a long term, it's been proven so many years that it has more potential than the altcoins and when the halving comes of Bitcoin, it's anticipated that there's a new ATH will come that is worth it if you're waiting in a long run.

Collecting Bitcoin at deep dips are pretty good practice or continue doing it in a DCA way which is very ideal when it comes to increasing your portfolio.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Is Bitcoin a weapon or speech? on: November 27, 2022, 11:28:43 PM
Bitcoin is a weapon?  A speech mechanism?  Lol.

Bitcoin is the same as fiat and it was created for the purpose of a fiat alternative, nothing more.
We know that FinCEN and IRS don't consider crypto to be legal tender but they know how to have tax guidance and consider Bitcoin is good for money transmitters like fiat.  There's a proper regulation to combat global and domestic criminal activities in each jurisdiction and I think that's the best solution while adopting Bitcoin.

If you read the Whitepaper of Bitcoin it has a good purpose than using it as you've said.
It's a digital currency.
788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Misconception about cryptocurrency on: November 27, 2022, 11:04:54 PM
Just simply, because they didn't understand how crypto works and how to choose the right one to invest in if they invest in a shitcoin which is possibly due to hype because thinking of a quick profit, they will end up losing their capital.  But in Bitcoin, even though there's a massive bearish trend, the time will come it will recover, and a bull market will always be there or it will create a new ATH in the market price history.

A misconception is that because of the failure of the centralized exchanges or platforms in the crypto world.
They think that Bitcoin will do the same because they don't know what's different between decentralized and centralized projects.  As I said, knowledge is very important when you're investing in crypto.
789  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be vigilant on: November 26, 2022, 11:56:54 PM
Okay, I chose one of the two proposed addresses and clicked on "Withdrawal". A window popped up prompting me to enter a secure key.
I thought it was an old trick when you will hit the withdraw button it has a minimum amount that is required before you can initiate a withdrawal, so you need to deposit the required amount which leads you to get a scam.   But this is different now, asking for your secure key which is not given based on OP's image shown.  But is there anyone who falls into this trap?  It's obvious that it's a scam trap.

That's why we should always be vigilant in dealing with strangers people who send PM first.
There are too many ways how to scam naive people that new to crypto, but it has an advantage if you've knowledge on it.
790  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is this true? Coinbase has a Custody reserves of 2M bitcoin? on: November 26, 2022, 11:39:32 PM
There are some questions that have in my mind right now about revealing this reserve Bitcoin.
Based on the report that I've read, they have 73 million verified users so it's not surprising they have that large amount under their custody.
Now, I think they are affected by the FTX drama, by revealing this balance sheet people think that they aren't on the same side of the FTX drama about bankruptcy.

I think there's hidden agenda with this revealing balance sheet, to avoid not getting FUD by their users and remain calm not to withdraw their coins on Coinbase.  But at least people have an awareness now that keeping their Bitcoin on the centralized exchange is very risky same case on FTX.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two arrested in massive $575m cryptocurrency 'Ponzi scheme' on: November 22, 2022, 11:58:51 PM
Great job to the FBI they need more crypto-related investigators because there are a lot of cases like this at this moment.
It's 20 years of sentence behind the bars and I hope those who think of fraud might afraid of this, if your age was 37 plus additional 20 years of sentence, you're getting old in prison.

I hope the FTX case will solve the same, there are too many innocent people that become a victim of this wire fraud and it might also be because of their greediness they fall into this Ponzi Scheme which looks like a business from the start.

People must learn about this.
792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ftx case and law enforcement actions on: November 22, 2022, 11:44:56 PM
Why. FBI have not tracked down accounts wallet and taking money they can track down everybody.

It's Simple track the wallets and return the money money dont disapeare only exchanges from one pocket to other pocket.
Just follow and take it and pay back all the traders.

Not yet in prison, the problem is FBI needs strong evidence of wire fraud which engaged in a scheme to defraud.  We're in cryptocurrency which you can completely cover your ass against authorities.

How many years Sam bankman Will get prision ?
Probably 50 years Also Im sure he not weclomed by other inmates there becouse he been taking more money then madof or MT grox.
Based on the reports that I've read the maximum term is a 20-year sentence, plus addition to fines.  It's wire fraud.

Quote
Also now it's the time for FBI to show that they getting tax payers money for reason.
I think it's hard for them to solve when it comes to crypto.
793  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two important lesson I learn from this forum this year 2022 on: November 22, 2022, 11:16:28 PM
THE TWO LESSONS
1: I will never trust an exchange, most especially centralized exchanges e.g FTX Binance, etc.
Never fool with the sweet offer, there is no real SAFU on a centralized exchange, it is just a marketing ad.
But remember CEX are DEX are totally different from others, we can't move out of our Bitcoin without this exchange to convert fiat or purchasing from fiat to Bitcoin, we still need this exchange but on DEX not on CEX.

Quote
2: never n trust any other coin aside from Bitcoin for long-term goals, most especially the highly centralized altcoin as there are open to external influence just like centralized exchanges are also exposed to external influence.
Stop investing in new projects like meme coin or shitcoin for a long-term investment, safe to invest in Bitcoin nothing else.  I don't understand why there are people who love to invest in a very crucial coin like these.  We have Bitcoin which has been proven from day one until now.

Good to see there are newbie thinking like this and we hope everyone has learned about FTX and Binance adoption.
794  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Yobit not paying out YoFarm Rewards. on: November 22, 2022, 11:03:57 PM
It might not all were scammed by this exchange because I still have a friend who used this exchange when swapping coins.  I've warned him already but he said, he didn't yet scam them.  It might this exchange isn't directly a scam, it's just a crappy exchange that has moronic users who even though they saw a warning still using this exchange until such time they will get scammed.

You're still lucky you able to withdraw your fund without a problem.
Don't expect too much from this exchange because they have known a very shady exchange, their reputation has been ruined already.  Find a legitimate one or stop storing it for the long term your crypto asset in a centralized exchange.
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All the Alt Coins ar going to wiped out but bitcoin will resurect from the dead on: November 22, 2022, 10:47:08 PM
As long as there are investors that willing to gamble their money on shitcoin, they will not be wiped out easily.  People are always looking for an easy quick scheme that is only found on altcoins, they are hoping to grow faster their portfolio in just a certain of time without knowing that it's a risky method of investment.  Greed makes this shitcoin grows.
However, there are still few altcoins that have a real utility that has been proven in the market, they'll grow the same on Bitcoin for sure.

The resurrection of Bitcoin?
Is Bitcoin dead?  Besides all the struggles that Bitcoin has it remains Bitcoin doing fine, the correction of the price might be there but we know this isn't a permanent position of Bitcoin.  Anytime soon the most anticipated moment will come which is to reach the price at an all-time high.
796  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree that an employer should hire employees who are smarter than him? on: November 22, 2022, 12:04:14 AM
It depends on various facts though. What type business it is, how it runs and what are the required skills for the same?
I tend to agree with this answer, it depends on what type of business.
Hiring smarter employees is a wise decision and it could they are good assets in your company, they were like a gem.

You should know the consequences of possibly stealing ideas, I have been working in a known fast-food chain (Jollibee) for 5 years but I didn't know until now how they process the food because it's all a pre-heat process.  Something like that, you should prefer all the consequences in the future, and hiring the smartest employees isn't a big deal, instead a good asset in your company.
797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share your Crypto experience. on: November 21, 2022, 10:43:01 PM
My portfolio is currently 36% down And feel I have no choice but to hold till the next bull run which is hopefully only 12-18 months away. I will continue to DCA but in recent weeks I have slowed down having gone from investing every week to every 2 weeks as the prices just keep falling.
It's a good decision to hold until there's a new ATH will come but don't expect it will happen in a shorter time, there's no time frame for that so invest that you are willing to wait and the amount that you can afford.

Usually, as per the past history of Bitcoin price, ATH will come after Bitcoin's next halving and it's expected that will occur after a year.  So possibly 12-18 months isn't enough and might you need to extend your patience until seeing there's a bull trend in the market.
For now, full your bag, and continue purchasing Bitcoin in a DCA way.
798  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: first time using P2P on exchanges you may learn from this on: November 20, 2022, 11:59:10 PM
Actually, P2P has many categories that you should know, it doesn't mean you're using P2P then you're safe.

Here are their categories,
  • DEXs P2P
  • CEXs P2P
  • Broker-to-broker p2p

It totally has a difference between custodial p2p and decentralized p2p.
For further explanation just read this thread by @Ratimov.
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A reminder about the media on: November 20, 2022, 11:17:27 PM
It depends!
Social media reports sometimes depend on their broadcaster/author, while others will against it, while some of them are on the Bitcoin side.
I believed legitimate social media delivers quick news that happens in the crypto space, but when they give predictions on Bitcoin price or the entire crypto market, that's the time I won't listen to them because it might some of them, are attention seekers.

Prediction, guessing, or speculation regarding crypto price, no other than just believing in yourself.  Use social media to use your fundamental analysis but not their price predictions which mostly are terrible.
800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accumulation phase is out!? on: November 20, 2022, 11:06:37 PM
I'm not a big fan of chart patterns. It's because I believe Bitcoin reacts in real time. For example, if Elon accepts Bitcoin for Tesla again, the price will skyrocket. On the other hand, if major investors announce their intention to sell Bitcoin, we may see a massive drop as a result of Panic. So how Bitcoin reacts is dependent on various of attributes. So, instead of relying on chart patterns, consider the real-time situation. Because the market is so volatile right now, it's difficult to predict the button.
Sometimes I'm confused about which I do believe, relying on the chart and doing technical analysis or thinking about the fundamental result which reacts in a real-time.  We saw how Bitcoin price reacts when there's big news coming, from awareness to adoption which makes the Bitcoin price react and I think there's no such technical analysis that gives accurate predictions as of now.

There are a lot of theoretical speculations about which use of graphs and technical analysis, but in the end their advice is to do DCA way of investing in Bitcoin because it's the safest way of making profit and never sell when the price is drop.
