1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - 🔥 🚀 Minereum World Metaverse Land Pre-Sale LIVE! 🚀 on: January 18, 2022, 11:22:31 AM
Good day!
I am running in circles here so I need your help.
In 2020. I received 32.000 MNE tokens.
Then I received new tokens from a new contract address and I would like to do something with them now.

I understand that the address you receive them is considered a "genesis" addres. However, I have other tokens in this address and I don't wish to do any kind of a third-party upgrade in order not to mess up with the other projects.
Now, I am lost at how to move MNE tokens out of this wallet. Swap is available only in small quantities and it is pricey at that. Maybe I could send them - but where then - is it possible? Would a new address be a "normal" address and could be the token be traded from there. On the other hand, if I would like to stake the tokens could I be able to claim this new address as genesis and upgrade it to level 2 or level 3?

Finally - all fees are in ETH, I understand that as perfectly logical. However, shouldn't be the option of conversion of MNE to ETH as part of the payment be available as well. I don't see a problem here as the token is listed and has a certain value. Thus the project managers can, if they need money to support their project, sell their MNE and find the budget that way. It is hard to invest in a project with your own money when it is not fully verified yet and the fee is very big 0,075 ETH or more is NOT in any way "a small fee", I have nothing against small fees.

Since POW was first launched here on Bitcointalk I think it would benefit the community growth if they would regularly post updates here as well.

I second that.

This year world cup was just a joke. So many paid actors and so many players seemed to get paid by others to make their teams lose.
I could tell after watching some games, some players just "walk", they didn't even run.

You obviously haven't been paying attention.

Tražio sam jednom i nije odgovorio.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3119547.msg39173586#msg39173586

A country of just 4 million people winning the world cup? That would have been historic... BTW.... around 20% of the world population reside in my country and we were not able to qualify for the tournament. On the other hand, Iceland (with a population of just 300,000) managed to qualify.

How did Iceland do that, its not even the size of a large city in population so they must have some amazing strategy or training in place there.  Or was it purely lucky and poor performance by the opponents along the way ?

Iceland team has a great dedication. They don't have many strong players, but are all great runners and rather tall and good at jumping. Hence they organized their game basing it on the strong defense, semi counter attacks and set pieces. They don't deviate from that strategy in any circumstances!

They created a fantastic ambient which provides a great moral support for them. Their team manager started having a routine of hanging out with supporters a few years ago.
They are a team - that is what is so strong about them. They cannot beat a well-organized top team, but they will take out opponents exploiting every weakness they show, o matter how strong they are. That is why Argentina wasn't able to beat them. They are 100 times stronger but were not very well organized..... and obviously not with a right mind (missed penalty).

Maybe VAR refs should just tell the ref what to do and skip the bit where he runs off for 10 minutes to watch a tiny screen.

Even the VAR decisions turned out to be the wrong ones. The best example was of the penalty kick for Serbia, which was turned down by the VAR ref (Mitrovic kicked down inside the penalty box).

You are referring to that notorious Switzerland - Serbia match, right? The German referee Felix Brych was sanctioned and excluded from refereeing any more World Cup games by the way. The Serbian football federation made a complaint to FIFA after the match about the controversial penalty.
I don't think the VAR referees can tell the main referee what to do. They can only advise him on the situations, but they can't influence his decision. The main referee could refuse to watch the replays altogether as it happened in a couple of matches in Russia.

OK.. The referee was sanctioned and excluded. But that could do little to quell the sense of anger among the Serbs. They still feel that the match was stolen from them. On top of that, previously Serbian teams such as Partizan Belgrade were sanctioned for displaying Serb symbols. But when Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka openly displayed racist Albanian gestures, they were let off without any match ban by the FIFA.

I always look at those kinds of situations in a bit different way. In that game, Serbia may have been damaged, but  Swiss were a better team on the field. Just a little bit, but they were. They did deserve to win. It might be wrong of me to speak about their game since I am Croatian, but I really didn't have anything against them winning, I never do. I always get furious about the games where the referee damages one team that was better on the field, or was equal, or was here-there but was a "smaller" team.

I also agree that it was very wrong from Swiss players to use politics in the game.... from that point of view - maybe they didn't deserve to win after all? The players should use their charisma to calm down the political atmosphere in the stands, not to ignite it up.

In any case, VAR helps a lot but its use is still far from perfect.

Enjoyed the World Cup Final, fitting end to an entertaining month. France deserved the win, although Croatia had a great game too. Match of the tournament for me was the France v Argentina game. 92 unit profit over the tournament too, should've really done better, but I'll take it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4463916.msg40008679#msg40008679
Croatia really played well but it was French day and won the final by 4-2 which is a good win of lead 2 goals. Croatia was better in the start but second goal from France reduced the dominancy of Croatia and France became more dominant over Croatia. In the second half Croatia returned with level but again France hit another goal which clinched the match for them and the final trophy.

I think we can all agree that it was a good game. Finally! A good game in the final, not seen in a long time..... Too bad it was ruined by bad refereeing. Same with Barca 5-10 years ago for example - a great team, maybe the best of all time, yet we remember them for bad refereeing. Or Juventus, a fantastic team, would win 9/10 times anyways, but they had to give them an easy edge. We have the same situation with Dinamo in Croatia (and the only thing it does is ruin the competition and making their own chances in Europa league worse... ironically they even earn less money because of this).

France is a fantastic team, I saw them as tournament favorites number 1. Their third team (the one that didn't play on World cup) could win the World cup. However, I have nothing but despise for their win in the finals. And why? Because of some politicians. Come on. Let us play and watch football.....
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 17, 2018, 01:54:10 PM
President of FIFA Infantino gave a very strange statement before final match which is a pretty angered some Croatian players and citizens. He say that Croatia is in final, but who could expect it?
LOL How is that a "strange" statement?? Let's be honest, before the WC even started, who expected to see Croatia in the WC final? no one, whoever says otherwise is a liar.  What Infantino said was pretty much what the entire world was thinking before the match.

I also don't think there is a problem with that statement. There was only one of our players who misinterpreted it. I don't believe Infantino based his opinion on happenings on the football field, but rather on the expectations before the tournament. Lucius has a good point, but I think FIFA is happy with the outcome - they are all about money, and this actually raised the popularity of the World cup.

Being objective, I must also say that Croatian success is a surprise, but it is not the "what the...." type of surprise for anyone with a deeper understanding of football fundamentals. Belgium and Croatia were the true dark horses of the tournament - so many good players in their best years.....
France is the strongest team at the moment, no doubt about that. And they are also very young.

What I don't understand is why Brazil, Germany, and Spain had better odds then France, but OK..... Probably because France wasn't (and arguably still isn't) playing all that good. All those mentioned are great teams nevertheless.

I am sorry that Uruguay lost Cavani before such an important game. They were unrecognizable without him.

^  VAR sucks.  It's not football anymore.  I'd love for the game to be pure and still have that human element in there.  It's not perfect, but that's part of what makes spectating it fun.

And it's funny how stupid that ref is if he really got the handball call wrong even with VAR.

No man, VAR is a positive thing. This was the best tournament regarding the refereeing so far. Just remember years 2000., 2002., Euro, World cup, League of champions - the refereeing was at its bottom if it was ever good...

However, Juventus and France examples showed us that VAR can be used in a negative, selective, way too.

Not to me.  It's just another tool for corrupt refs to manipulate the out come of the matches.  Think about it.  Even with VAR, Perisic's 'hand ball' is still being argued if it was really a hand ball or not.

And it slows down the game too...  And it made football corny.

I agree with you, but not hands down. With this tool,  football is still corrupted but is much less corrupted. We are slowly getting there..... If you disregard Juventus case, there was almost not a single game within last 2 years where you could clearly say "they got robbed!!!!!!!!". There are only "small favors" done here and there and mistakes that can, in theory, be justified by words "he couldn't have possibly seen it", or "it's his call and depends on the referee and criteria".... like this final or Bayern - Real game.... And this tournament was the tournament with the smallest number of cardinal errors. I cannot count them on my two hands. In past tournament, they were in almost, literally, every game, I mean, the championships would had ended in a completely different way without them!!!!!

There was no free kick from which France is score first goal, and also Pogba was in offside, two big mistakes from referee. Second big mistake was penalty kick, most of biggest football experts agree that referee made a totally wrong decision after using VAR. At first he was 100% sure it was not penalty kick, but he could not to withstand pressure and remain on its decision. I heard that 3 VAR referee are for penalty kick, 2 against.

A list of world famous football players&coaches who believe that Croatia has been unfairly treated in this match is big : Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand, Jürgen Klinsmann, Luis Suarez, Iker Casillas, Dermont Gallagher, Peter Schmeichel, Howard Webb, Gary Lineker, Mark Clattenburg, Roy Keane, José Mourinho...

I can only say that France has two more players in the field, Argentine referee and VAR. There is not team who can beat all that, Croatia to win World Cup is just not fit in Fifa plans.

Lucius, thank you. It is hard to lose this way and see French people celebrating without admitting the mistakes, but the support from all over the world really helps. I've been playing football for 30 years and I know how hard it is to recover after such mistakes. Thank you!!!
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 16, 2018, 07:18:30 AM
Still 30 minutes to go start the final match of FIFA world cup between France v Croatian as per my prediction the France going to win the game with 2-0 and I am going to bet on France around 300usd I hope that I am going to get back 600usd let's see.

At half time, France are leading 2-1 but Croatia look by far the better team. Both of France's goals came from dubious refereeing decisions - the first from a free kick which shouldn't have been given and the second from a questionable decision on handball. Croatia would have the confidence to fight back in the second half.

Thank you. That is what decided the game, and that is all there is to say.
So proud. I'd never seen one team so dominant and unlucky at the same time in the finals of any sport.

P.S. First goal was an offside too. No VAR on that one, huh?

Well, all my bets failed. I betted 100€ for Germany or Belgium as the cup champion, 50/50, but I simply lost. It is going to be a super final with mysterious winner.

It was a fair bet though, good thinking Smiley
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 13, 2018, 01:18:51 PM
France -croatia is hard to guess the odds , i want to go for Croatia but in the papers france will take the cup , what is your prediction please ?
this is a very heavy choice .. croatia do have a very strong middle player .. but french has a quality player that is flat on all line .. I also tend to choose croatia ,. but if we look at the quality of players ,, french is superior

it looks like I will not bet anything in the final game

Why do you think that?

OK, on page 6 I was lucky enough to predict the final between France and Croatia using the match-mismatch logic (although I have to admit, I didn't see France getting there after I found out that Payet will be missing the World cup, but kudos to France for making me wrong).
I was wrong about one semifinalist, but who was not wrong about that one (Germany)?

I also predicted that France will win the World cup. However, that was based on the opinion that they will have strong ball possession and Dimitri Payet to rule out the game.

Now, let's compare the lines (it's hard to expect that the managers will change anything):
Lloris vs. Subašić, I say 50-50% (both in great form);
Varane, Umtiti vs. Lovren, Vida, 60:40% (France defense is much faster although I think that of those 4 the only one clear for WC top 11 is Lovren);
Pavard, Hernandez vs. Vrsaljko, Strinić, 55:45% (French sides play a fantastic tournament, but Croatian are even more dangerous offensively)
Pogba, Kante, Matouidi vs. Brozović, Rakitić, Modrić 45:55% (French middle is very strong in the defense but Croatian is much more creative);
Griezmann, Mbappe vs. Rebić, Perišić: 55:45% (Mbappe is not constant but is still one of three best players on this tournament (besides Hazard and Modrić) but if you look at the tactical display so far, Rebić and Perišić are equally important and efficient for Croatia; slight advantage to France, but only because of Mbappe's display against Argentina and Belgium, but you have to keep in mind that it is much more easy to stop one player than 10 of them);
Giroud vs. Mandžukić 40:60% (Mandžukić won more balls and is far more dangerous in finishing).

Deschamps vs. Dalić - 50-50%, although you could really ask yourself - which of the two managers got more of the potential out on the surface from their respective teams?

I think you will have to mostly agree to this evaluation, so I don't see why France should be such a strong favourite. Besides their reputation I mean? Both France and Croatia were lucky enough to get to the finals (Croatia twice on penalties, France lucky against Peru and Australia and Uruguay missing Cavani, which would be the only serious mismatch against them in this tournament).

What else is so clearly on French side besides their name - running + freshness? I think England, a slightly younger team, already tried that.

+Don't forget the most important thing. It is always 50-50% in the final. Just look at the history and what happened to those that were most assured they would win.

Now I logged in after a while and there is a message "airdrop ended", but my Telegram and Twitter settings are still under verification. I also haven't received any tokens for the earned points.
Why is that?

the absence of commissions......

Do you want that in your country issue bitcoin-bills?

Yes, because you probably already paid a fee in some way, it's just that you don't give this fee to the developers but to some Government institution... hence this is probably a disadvantage as well.
I don't see a purpose really (since you can use your mobile phone as "a physical thing", "wallet", call it how you want...) except as a little social experiment, mind game... "let's just issue everything the same way it is issued with FIAT money... it will help people adopt". However, I personally don't understand this mindset.... if you are switching to something new, then you should have already accepted that it is ...well... new...

You should post a screenshot (just keep sure that none of your private data is visible, especially not your private key) so that we can be 100% sure on what you are referring too.
But in any case, you are only given 1 address - you use it for deposits, withdrawals, and any other actions. You activate transactions by using your private key, which is another (longer) address that you will be given.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters should be paid in ETH on: May 21, 2018, 06:22:12 AM
It is a good idea but not all projects are generous to share the ETH they mobilize. There are many projects they do not sell their tokens and they can not divide the ETH they mobilize. Apparently ETH is more stable than the token they release. They look for redistribution of their tokens because they do not lose anything. ETH is the source of money to help them develop the project later. Your idea is good but not really feasible.

Exactly, and there are plenty of projects to choose from. You can just pick those that are paying in ETH or Bitcoin.
No, it is not a good idea, because some bounty tokens has a great potencial for growth, and i think that the payment in Ethereum will be much less than in tokens at the price of ICO.

Everyting has its advantages and disadvantages.

Payments in ETH or Bitcoin:
Advantage: Secured income (provided that the bounty campaign manager is legit);
Disadvantage: Minor income

Payments in ICO/project crypto
Advantage: A possible huge income being it that the payments are much more substantial than those done in ETH or Bitcoin;
Disadvantage: The actual income depends on the success of the project.

Let's not talk about what is a good idea and what is not. People should know the advantages and disadvantages and decide for themselves.
