CGminer will recognize this device. If you can run CGminer. You can run a gridseed asic!

That is my impression anyway and i think firmware is being made for the raspberry pi.

You have to use the custom version of cpuminer that is provided...ordinary builds of cgminer and the like won't work for these devices.  There's also a USB driver which you need to install in order for Windows to correctly detect the device.

Yes, you are correct that users chirale and drfranz are working on a rasberry pi version but it's not ready yet...so you'll have to use the custom CPUminer program provided.

Thanks. To do bank transfer, would I do this on the site or pm? Asia btc, get my pm? Thanks.

I think he is sleeping. Ill hook you up with a copy of the PM i got from him. I wouldn't send any funds until you confirm stock obviously. I am under the impression he has plenty though.

Thank you very much.

To my knowledge Gridseed has not released the source code for the custom CPUminer software...however, chirale/drfranz's rasberry pi version is linux based...so i don't know if that helps.

Hi everyone  Smiley

As mentioned in a previous post I was one of the selected folks to receive this item for testing the validity of it. I did the initial set up and gave my thoughts on it about a week ago, you can go here and on pages 6 and 7 are my results as well as comments. https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=13314.75

Asiabtc has a lot of work to do on the firmware to get certain things fixed, but I was told these items were fixed as well as the supposed 500kh as show in the secret picture in the initial post. Just to clear some confusion (because I received a few PM's about it over at liteointalk), I have not received the new firmware. I asked earlier today and was told very soon. So maybe by this weekend if I get the new firmware I will post my results over litecointalk.

Thanks all and feel free to let me know if you have any questions Smiley!

Hmm confusing reaction.  All that scrypt hashing means less for each miner and you are salivating?

I wonder if that's an issue with the existing firmware?  Perhaps that's part of what they're working out with the new firmware?
