sounds to me your equipment is effing u over not Slush. resolve your problems and dont bad mouth Slush for your problems.

What's your problem? I got a problem with Slush's way of threating their members.
It's normal that sometimes the hash rate goes down whatever the cause is, but it is not normal that Slush will punish their members so bad!
It's already hard enough to mine some bitcoins nowadays.
I got my opinion and it got nothing to do with you! Are you their lawyer?

oh my bad. U r on this pool knowing how Slush wrote his algorithm using bad equipment and bad mouthing slush cuz u have bad equipment.
Wah wah I have bad equipment, me bad mouth slush.
Know how u can resolve this? Fix your equipment. or why dont u threaten slush in private messages, dont forget to mention your equipment is bad so he can laugh too
422  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12000 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: July 06, 2013, 04:26:29 AM
Cheers. I'll check it again tomorrow.

To be sure, my system lost connection three times. Once for a few seconds, the other for about 2 mins, and the other about 10-15 mins. Not sure if that would have cost me significantly, but I'm getting the impression not.

On long rounds like the 3+ hour ones disconnecting for a few minutes won't matter as long as it's at the beginning of the round.  Now if it's a short round or you disconnect near the end of the round then you lose out big time!  But... that's how Slush's anti-pool hopping rewards system works.

Meaning... Slush sucks so bad nowadays!

I've got over 15 USB hubs with USB sticks running. In past few weeks, already 4 adapters blown.
Everytime when 1 adapter dies, it costs me. I have to buy a new adapter, but that's normal.
It's not normal that Slush f*cks me over when one blows, or when I'm getting disconnected, or whatever problem causing hashing rate going down.
I will be looking for another pool. KUT!

sounds to me your equipment is effing u over not Slush. resolve your problems and dont bad mouth Slush for your problems.

Hi, I'm mining for the first time, on Slush as it was frequently recommended. Still haven't got my head around the rewards systems. I've been running at 1.6Gh/s for about 10 hours, and the rewards are so far pretty low. I'm assuming this has to do with the scoring. How long should I wait until the reward rates are more representative?

u will be getting in the .002x per block as 1.6gh/s isnt much anymore.

man, i just saw the latest graph. my daily performance was real suckage today. even dragged my 7 day average way down. Sad

Today sucked big time.  The pool luck was very low.

Hey I spent some bitcoin on mining hardware that I'd like to earn back.  Everyone in the bitcoin mining community needs to stop mining for a few weeks, so I can earn my coins back.  OK   Grin

that is waht syn floods are for derpa!

shame on you for saying Slush is 20th/s!!!!!  it was bad enough at 18th/s now 19.8th/s grrr I dont want to buy another card to make up for these 1th/s increases!!!

If you really believe a higher Pool hashrate will lower your earnings, switch to a smaller pool or mine solo for maximum income! :-P

how is your post count doing?

No of course it doesn't.
every 1th/s increase/decrease in slush pool creates a decrease in my block amount. It is just a fact.
pool is at 19th/s now and my blocks are less
against 18th/s I am .005ish against 19th/s I have .004ish against 17t/hs I am .006ish
But u r right of course the pool hashrate has nothing to do with it...
After that 1st pool interrupt this week and the hashrate dropped back to 17th/s I wasnt getting .006ish a block AGAIN, when the hashrate got back up to 18th/s my blocks didnt drop to .005ish cuz it has nothing to do with the pool hashrate...
now with the pool at 19th/s my blocks are .004ish, but it has nothing to do with the pool hashrate....
For the past 2 months while I have chased this adding a 500mh/s miner it hasnt brought me back up to speed according to you.

u r right what I just said above is all a lie. how is your post count doing?
432  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12000 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: June 27, 2013, 07:35:44 PM
when are we do for another difficulty change? Huh
On Saturday afternoon most probably.

Network hashrate dropped significantly today and average between blocks is back up to 9.5 minutes or so.  I guess I would be surprised if the diff went up on Sat, but what do I know.

You have a good analytical mind - don't put yourself down,

K.

Of course now the network hashrate is climbing again (it was 140,000 GH/s earlier and now 160,000 GH/s) and time between blocks is down to almost 8.5 minutes.  I am curious about the large fluctuations in the total network hashrate. I mean 20,000 GH/s is the size of Slush's entire pool, how does that much compute power come and go so quickly?  Its like someone with 40 BFL Mini Rigs is dropping in and out of the network.  If I was in charge of $900,000 worth of equipment that generates sooo much  that a few seconds down can cost $1000s or $10,000s of dollars, I would make sure as
#!&| that the systems didnt go down.

Hmmm.  I'm only getting 350 - 380 out of mine.  Though I haven't tried all those scary options in the BIOS -- sending extra power to the cards and stuff like that.

You are probably using the 13.4 drivers too... a 7870 should be able to hit 400 easily.
Dont go higher than 13.1 drivers...
However if you did install the 13.4's UNINSTALLING them and using the Clean up utility dont work they leave remnants behind.
You have to physically go delete them or all installers below 13.4 will blue screen on detection.

delete all these in the windows directory including opencl.*
system32(amdocl_as64.exe, amdocl_ld64.exe, amdocl64.dll, OpenCL.dll)
syswow64(amdocl_as32.exe, amdocl_ld32.exe, amdocl.dll, OpenCL.dll)

If the installer blue screens on detect you missed a file.

ALSO Install GPUZ as people here dont seem to understand the 7870's have this little feature if you lower the memory too much aka like 200 below the GPU speed it throws the Memory to their default which u dont want.
Lowest I can get memory to on my 7870's is 1005 or they default it back to 1200 GPUZ will show you this.
Pretty sure the card is doing it as my 7870xt's I can get memory down too 1020 with gpu at 1200 any lower bam back to 1500 for memory

lotta spam here guys - there's dedicated forums for all this stuff - no offense meant

yes there is, just like 98% of whats posted in this thread. This thread is a community as well as a slush pool help thread. Just look at the posts about 55 activity for verification.

i'm over 55 now! now I am not a scammer! the system works!

Thanks everyone. I'm just gonna have to get more fpga's I guess.
I would love one of those avalons. They only accept bit coin. But I live a half hour away
From their mailing address in Albany NY.
Wish I could just knock on the door and give them cash. So for now each miner is 439MH/s

For a price, I can build ya a wicked GPU miner bumping out over 2GH/s...   Wink
yes I'm interested but I just spent 1000 on these puppies and bought http://bit.ly/17zInxx
So  have to wait a couple weeks.. Sad

Wait what did you spend $1,000 on? The 2 FPGAs running at 439MH/s?  Geez... For less than $1000 you can build a machine with 2 7870xt's (each put out > 500MH/s) and have room to expand!

That gaming rig has a nice MoBo, but that GTX570 isn't too hot for mining (plus it takes up 3 slots!! WTF Asus?). I'd swap that out for a couple 7870xt (each card = $260 @ 500+ MH/s)
Link: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-11199-20-20G/dp/B00AWKYB1M/ref=sr_sp-btf_title_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1372263403&sr=8-6&keywords=7870+GHz

or just a couple of Sapphire 7870 GHz editions (each card = $215 each @ 410-425 MH/s)
Link: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-DL-DVI-I-SL-DVI-D-PCI-Express-100354OC-2L/dp/B00A2J4ROE/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372263403&sr=8-1&keywords=7870+GHz

just a waste of money not going to the 7870xt for 100mh/s+ each. I have 2 doing 530 and 2 doing 520mh/s where my 7870's are 425 410/410 400. took me 4 loser 7870's to realize the 7870xt was better money! grrr....
I got all the $15 rebate cards and all the game cards for the 7870xt so 250-$15 selling game cards -$15 cyrsis3 -$40 for bioshock/tomb raiders/farcry3 so paid basically $180 for each card.

well the payout is normal up against 17,000 gh/s
but in 2 hours I should have 6000ish shares

oink... please dont go back to 19,000gh/s  Undecided

what's wrong with a higher hash rate? don't you get less of a payout, but more frequent?

no u get lower payout same frequency. it isnt enough of an increase.
but then again this is that question where u r going to get the ones trying to increase their post count to push a pointless point of it is when it isnt.
