bit off topic it seems that diff is plateauing a bit with the drop in bitcoin price

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

I'm kind of glad about the price drop, its really hurting the whales who dump BTC i think since it makes it harder for them to pay their bills and they might have to start dumping hardware at lower costs.

It's negative feedback loop, caused by inefficient miners forced to sell to pay electricity bills.
On top of that, BitFury is selling huge amounts.

I disagree. It will cause only 2-3 manufacturers to survive, which is a real threat to the ecosystem, IMHO.

The ecosystem is already under threat.  Grin You do not need to see under $200 to see beads of sweat forming on the fabricators brows.

Now it's time for the FTC to put everything Butterfly Labs has done through the magnifying glass and then burn the wings off those bastards.

I've found that hash rates all come down to ambient temps.  During the warm part of September the unit seemed to be stuck at about 4445TH or so.
now that its cooler 23c front back and 72, 73 top bottom I'm seeing 4550 or so.

The lower ambient temp helps .. but the pool connection influencing CGMiner restarts is the biggest headache IMHO.
This >> http://powerprice.info/SPT/graphic.php << is what I get out of mine @ 5 min intervals.

BTC on the exchanges.

And all these companies have to sell more and more coins, cheaper and cheaper to pay the same costs of mining.

This loop will end when they'll close the doors. Or at least most of them....

IMHO....

Nice drop today anyway .. if this continues .. who does cash out first wins Grin I guess they will cash out all the fiat for the BTC they own eventually .. BTC will kick off again if there's something to do with it, and these guys stop getting the $$$ out of the ecosystem.
