86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Official Sexcoin Thread - New MANDATORY upgrade: KGW Timewarp attack FIX on: November 11, 2014, 01:10:33 AM
I think a problem is the fact the difficulty is so low its still pretty easy to solo mine so most of the pools that started up got no one mining so they shut up shop.

p2pool.sxcladies.com:9699 is back up and running. Still only getting 1-2 people other then me gpu mining on it

Thanks, I notice the difficulty had started to creep up again.

I might consider adding it to a pool, especially if the team showed some encouragement.

No offence(SexcCoin Team) but it was awful when it started but like IFC, I think it will go down in crypto history as one of the clever moves.

It has the cult status. Maybe still potential.

You can grab a 512mb droplet at Digital Ocean, and run a couple of different daemons for 5 dollars a month.

Either begin with a 2 gb when you compile and then stop the daemons and downsize to 512. Or simply compile on desktop and use sftp to upload the daemon(s).

Also, if you have AWS free, you can still run a wallet (not  daemon) on a Windows server, just leave it open and eventually it should join the network (make sure you open the ports on set up).

But if people are paying $4 a node, and not expecting years of blockchain, I'll set one up for you.

That's pretty much what I'm doing.  And compared to what some people charge to host a node $4 is cheap.  I'm not looking to get rich, just help pay for a couple of my own personal nodes I run.

No, it's a fair service. It took me a year to find out how to get a daemon onto a server.

The charge is reasonable.

*Edit ... plus it's actually time consuming getting it set up

So what is the situation with sexcoin and mining?

I've had a look around the forum, and found a lot of dead links, but then that is always the case.

Is Sexcoin worth adding to a pool (based on the theme), or is there just too much competition? Nobody wants 1 miner.

I think the coin is a victim of its own success. and the information on the web is overwhelming that it is difficult to make sense of how the land lies.

Any thoughts?

Cheers.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy --> Mintpal --> Bittrex --> what's the next alt exchange leader? on: November 10, 2014, 11:55:07 AM
Bittrex is the worst ... and the one I trust the least.

They have presided over more pumps and dumps than any exchange, even allowing Elitecoin to trade there without a clue at the real total of coins available to the thieving devs.

Disgraceful.

Are these in any way special to make?

I'm thinking X11, but I have only ever made a SHA256, and the arrangement of files is different.

Any input appreciated?
94  Other / Off-topic / Re: Plant a Tree Campaign - Win BITCOINS - Join the Revolution. on: November 09, 2014, 12:38:21 PM
Make sure you plant trees that are natural to the area, you can cause damage to soil, flora and fauna with the wrong choice.

Plant whatever flourishes in your area.

Birch for the north is good, given it is fast. Planting Birch and then an oak tree underneath is cool. They grow together but the Birch dominates due to being a fast grower. However, the Birch enourages the Oak to seek light so the Oak gets taller than it would. In like 50 years, the Birch dies of natural causes, and we are left with an Oak tree.

Hello Im newbie here and also want to know more about SEO thing...
he is selling his SEO service here not giving tutorials
if you want to learn about SEO then you must spend some time on google

Exactly, a beginner can take 4 hours and really work at looking at the strategies to employ. It's not so hard,
97  Economy / Services / Re: Want to promote your business or service? on: November 08, 2014, 10:31:55 PM
A new service will have very low traffic, maybe give away advertising for a month, if you have content worth reading, it will pay off.

And I guess you are looking into the art of SEO? It's so important.
98  Economy / Services / Anyone want my signature? on: November 08, 2014, 10:27:49 PM
Looking through the the thread, everyone is closed, scamming or unable to articulate what they actually want.

My sig is for rent.

Anyone want it, just reply with simple instructions. Don't PM me.

99  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinbomb type script on: November 06, 2014, 11:41:44 PM
Can you explain what coinbomb is exactly?

coinbomb.com

The game where you buy the bomb (bounty) and hope to sell it within 24 hours to someone else at a higher price. Then they do the same. It ends in tears, for someone.

It's an old game, and adaptable.

*Edit - it looks like coinbomb has stopped trade anyway, but my reason for wanting the script is to add flavour to an altcoin that people will not be afraid to gamble with

100  Economy / Gambling / Coinbomb type script on: November 06, 2014, 07:09:44 PM
Anyone know if there is an open source version of it? I've seen plenty of sites running similar games, I just can't remember what they were called.

Also, there was a site called Cryptobounty that had a 50/50 game.....is there anything like that in open source?

I don't mean to sound rude so sorry if my questions look like I believe I am owed your attention!
