601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 30, 2014, 11:03:20 PM
I had an order for 0.20 BTC for LTC which is no longer there, and nor is the BTC.

I also have a 2 WDC deposits for close to 1100 WDC made on the 14th which are still waiting to be redeemed.

I just got a payout from a purchase 20+ days ago

I bought 2,638,157, and transferred it to my wallet immediately.

My payout today was 36,326

However, I expected 527,631 (assuming 20%)

BUT --- I am confused, because it came through as MINING  ... yet I am not mining, I just have my wallet open.

Anyway, what POS am I due from 2,638,157 (2.6 million)?

Your 'stake' (2,638,157) will generate 25% (659,539.25) OVER THE COURSE OF THE 1st YEAR.

It does this in 20-day chunks.

365/20 = 18.25

659,539.25 / 18.25 = (TAH DAH!) 35,650

So you can expect the same every 20 days for a year (roughly)

It comes in as 'mined' because your 'stake' acts like a miner to generate coins.

Note the occasional Minting will initially NOT be accepted by the blockchain, don't panic, it'll all come good in the end.

Note that if you don't spend anything, in year 2 you will get 20% on 2,638,157 + 659,539.25 so this time next year you wallet will hold 3,297,696.25 & you can expect 659,539.25 in Minting @ 35,650 every 20 days.

In 2 years your 2.6 Mill will have grown to 3,957,235.5 Grin

NOW do you get it?

E2A - Double-posting so soon will not win you friends.

very well explained, thanks  Smiley

So my Proof of Stake is due today, it is 10th March since I put coins in my wallet, and they have stayed there, and been added to.

Any tips?

My client says stake is 0.00, but I'm 10 hours early.

What should I expect to happen, and do I need to do anything other than open the wallet?

My wallet is not locked.

606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DIMEcoin l community take over l updated everyday on: March 29, 2014, 01:57:10 AM
As long as you are trying, I'm backing Dime all the way.

Just a a note about Coinedup. I know Coinedup has a lot of Dime (gifted to it ...). Of all the exchanges, the amount of Dime posted for sale there is way, way higher.

I am bewildered, then, that suddenly in-house buys and sells are now capped at 10,000,000 (currently the same as 0.2 to 0.3 LTC maximum)

This is very recent, and given Coinedup's grip on the market, it is almost certainly stopping Dime from finding a natural price.

You can put multiple orders or sells in, but given it often takes 2 minutes just to put one in at Coinedup, I doubt many casual observers can be arsed.

607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Apocalipsis on: March 28, 2014, 01:42:48 AM

KWH,I appreciate you.
I am not a scammer.
Yes,I used ,Litecoin+Franko coin source.
I didn't create absolutely new coin like NxT,I used source, and pasted parameters that my client rikkejohn wanted.

Erm, I sent KWH the original agreement. it was not for NXT. I answered your questions regarding specs.

I sent him all project, and yes, there was small bug, that it was apperead FRANKO in console,I offered to fix bugs, but rikkejohn said that I am scammer.
But All we know, that every coin is based on previous source, isn't it?

Erm, I know the coin was going to be based on a LTC source. But I expected that it would be adapted. Not just cloned from Github and sent to me (yes, I can find out how to clone a coin at Github)

And yes,I used ABE as a source for block explroer.

So why offer a blockchain as if part of the service. I ca also download the abe source code. why would I pay youto do it?

And yes, client should setup it by himself,it's just 2 lines of code that he should type in console.

You mean setgen? Am I mining Franko or what? That's what my console claims.

I didn;t say him, that I will setup it on my vps servers.

I asked for a working client, you agreed (it was on one of your questions)

And one more,I didn't create blockchain(it means network of minimum 2 nodes),cause rikkejohn asked about premine, and I coded, that in first generated block, will be premine that rikkejohn wanted.

I didn't ask about a premine,it was one of your questions on your little sales pitch.

So,I can't mine coins for him,and I didn't say that I will do that.

Erm, it's on your questionnaire, it's exactly what you did claim you would do.

rikkejohn should do it by himself/

Well then don't offer it as a service

To conclude,
I am not a scammer,
I am ready to fix all bugs.

Yet you sent me a PM saying you were finished with the job

P.S KHW,when I asked rikkejohn to send me VirusTOTAL logs,he didn't send me,but I've sent him,and from my side everything was clear there.
My opinion, that rikkejohn, just don't want to spend more energy with his coin, and just want to refund his money.
But otherwise,I repeat again,I am ready to fix all bugs.

Your opinion is wrapped up in either defending your incompetence or in defending refunding the money you effectively stole from me.

Regards,
Alex

So .... send me exactly as agreed (read the agreement again), or send me a refund.

608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ** UNDERRATED ALT-COINS ** on: March 26, 2014, 10:35:42 PM
#1 Reddcoin

- 31st fastest growing subreddit on Reddit (out of ALL subreddits), and #1 fastest growing digital currency subreddit (it is growing at the same rate as bitcoin, dogecoin, and litecoin all combined).  It is also has the 4th highest amount of total subscribers out of all digital currencies (behind Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Litecoin)

- Over $100,000 IPO that is being distributed over 3 months, has been handled very professionally, and has allowed for the devs to dedicate all of their time to the coin, as well as hire professionals to assist.

- Clear, focused goals.

-  And, the reason it is undervalued currently...the price is actually being purposely suppressed, rather than pumped, to allow new users to get coins at a decent price.  A few whales have came in to try to pump it, and every time they have been crushed and driven away.

I can conform that I  get my free Reddcoin consistently. Quite impressed that they have continued to honour their obligations.

Thumbs up for that.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 26, 2014, 04:25:19 PM
I've had 1083 WDC waiting in the chain since the 13th, a day or two before CoinEx went down.

Still not redeemed .... other people had similar issues.

The fact that deposits have still not arrived gives a glimmer of hope (meaning they haven't just opened up the wallets to receive whatever they can).

I wish they would communicate more, though.

They must know what they are missing, and what they have left. So let's hear it, and work out what everyone is entitled to as a proportion of their balance.

As far as I know, it was BTC that was stolen, in which case the alts can be divided up so no one coin-type holder is disadvantaged.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]DeleteCoin *MANDATORY WALLET UPDATE NOW* YOU MAY BE ON THE OLD CHAIN! on: March 26, 2014, 02:10:13 PM
instead of doing this scheme, why not just go and do some good deeds, like helping the homeless?

it seems so pointless
611  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Would you send money or bitcoins to MtGox when it re-opens? (poll) on: March 26, 2014, 06:51:47 AM
Depends on the management & CEO. You mean it will re-open with new management & CEO or the same management & CEO?

Exactly
612  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: March 25, 2014, 11:13:50 PM
BCX can't go to jail for mining a coin. It just so happens that he can be more than 51% of most network hashrates. Forks happen all the time its the nature of the beast. Perhaps people are stupid for putting a multi-million dollar valuation on a blockchain that can be forked by such little hashing power.

I see nothing wrong with this.

AUR has a value established by free markets. You see nothing wrong with deliberately destroying or degrading that value out of malice?

If Icelanders come to value this windfall and then BCX deliberately damages the value of their holdings, I could see a hue and cry from the Icelandic population demanding that their government do something. It would not be hard to imagine them charging him with any manner of infractions having to do with property damage, vandalism, financial wrongdoing, you name it - and seeking to extradite him.

The same government which issued a public warning with the impending airdrop?

Yea the same smartass. Because they dont want AUR to influence their country. And now the politicians will do what public will demand, if it does not cost them. And blaming one person for everything certainly is the way goverments work for centuries, in case you have not noticed.

Politicians do what the public demand? You've actually made my day with that comment  Grin

The point I was trying to make the government has done its duty by issuing a public warning.

The governments want to protect their respective banking systems, not crypto.

Governments are not a single breed. Some are slaves of the masses, others are not.

Western democracies, in my opinion, have the most servile governments of all.

Mob rule will always get its way at the end of the day.
613  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: March 25, 2014, 11:09:53 PM
Iceland is a neighbour to me, and the population could quite easily adopt a cryptocurrency. Iceland is modern, technologically advanced, wealthy, educated (don't take that for meaning clever) and has a great sense of itself as independent.

However, it is conservative and is bound to its traditions, like most small countries on the edge of the world. Iceland would adopt the Krona in cryptoform as long as it was a simple extension of the current Krona.

Iceland will not adopt someone else's vision, especially given the vision is the type off financial manipulation that Iceland fought just a few years back.

614  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Apocalipsis on: March 25, 2014, 01:51:54 PM
After reading many PM's as well as the rebuttal I came up with this:
rikkejohn purchased Apocalipsis's services, (March 14th), to make a coin with certain parameters. Price was agreed to (0.2 BTC) and the project was started on March 15th according to Apocalipsis PMs. Message from Apocalipsis on March 17th states he is almost finished. March 18th, query was made as to the progress and if any problems were encountered to which Apocalipsis replies: Finished, give me your email. March 19th, another query was made by rikkejohn, still having yet to receive completed project. rikkejohn asks if there is a time conflict or is too much for Apocalipsis and asks for a refund. Problems crop up, SMTP issues with email for Apocalipsis and apologies were  made; project uploaded to a server and info on how to retrieve were sent. After attempting to download the completed project, (March 19th), rikkejohn encounters a virus alert on the project content, notifies Apocalipsis who claims it passes virustotal 100% and rikkejohn again asks for a refund. Apocalipsis asks for the virus detection log, unknown if it was sent. March 20th, more banter about browsers and virus, Master files missing and a refund was asked for again. March 21st, still trying to find a solution, accusations of cloning Franco come into play as it apparently comes up in the console as such. No denials were made but a fix was offered. Again on the 21st, a short list of additional wants was sent by rikkejohn, as well as an offer of a percentage to Apocalipsis who replied he couldn't set up a network for rikkejohn but would try to help as he was late with the project.
March 23rd. rikkejohn asks for a refund as nothing was getting done, Apocalipsis  replies that he doesn't have a VPS to make the coin work and doesn't have the time to do so. Apocalipsis agreed to refund the 0.2BTC.
March 24th. Still no refund but Apocalipsis says he is recharging his wallet to do so.

I left out banter and "heat of the moment" comments for clarity. Here is what I suggest:
Either Apocalipsis needs to get the project completed as per the agreement or a refund, (that was already agreed to by Apocalipsis), needs to happen.
A little more patience from rikkejohn might have yielded a different experience from this deal. Yes, we all get impatient when something drags out. Also, I would like to know what exactly was your web browser seeing that flagged these files a virus. From your talk of consoles and coin name, you did download at least some of the files?
One more thing: If you get the refund and you use his code, Apocalipsis would be in the right to ask you to be flagged.

Not 100% right: He offered a fix, but did not fix it. He later claimed he had finished the project without having done this fix.

Download the file if you want to see his work.

I'm not getting my BTC back, and I can't use the crap that he sent me, so I'm not wasting more time on this. I don't believe he can make the product either.

He was given the specs (I filled in his little form) and he ignored all of them (I sent you the original deal). He was never asked for extras.

Thanks for trying adjudicate, it is kind of you, but I I have too much work to do to mess about with this kid.

As far as I am concerned, it's finished with. Nonetheless, given he is scammer and incompetent, it is right to point this out so that others do not get burned like me.

Thanks again! :-)

Package received, a Frank source file with a pathetic attempt at pasting in it, an open source blockchain from abe (that I should set up).

Client no working block chain (as agreed), and a laughable console for Franko.

The guy is a beginner and sadly a scammer, too. I think he wanted to make this, but actually was not capable. I checked his previous posts and they catalogue him asking other people simple questions on making a working model.

Oh, and the tosser claims to have made Darkcoin

Watch out for the guy called Apocalipsis.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=99211

The guy scammed me for 0.20 BTC for a coin that he could not make.

Eventually he sent me a a semi-clone of Franko, and could not even find out how to paste over all the Franko bits, or change ports or set a genesis.

He promised a refund, but it never came.

Beware of an offer for a free coin. The first file he sent me is the only qt I have downloaded that was immediately flagged by my browser as malicious.

Anyone that wants to see the eventual product is welcome to PM me.

Anyone that wishes to view the Franko source code that you sent after 9 days, where you couldn't even paste over all the relevant parts is welcome to PM me for a copy - and I have a number of PMs from you where you claim opposite to the post above.

Ever since you sent me a file that was deemed "malicious" it kinda went down hill.

Hang on everyone, this guy scammed me out of 0.20 BTC and has repeatedly lied and cheated.

He cannot design coins, or code.

He is a pathological liar.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your lottocoin predictions.... on: March 24, 2014, 04:14:26 PM
Lottocoin was under 2 difficulty up until today, and anyone with a mining rig of 1000+ should point their miners at it. Real opportunity (although the reward has gone down I think).

Predict it will pump to 100, settle at about  50-60.

ya maybe in the next 18 years, it's dead, can't believe I spent so much money investing in it Sad

I was being a bit sarcastic with my prediction, but if you invested in it, I'm sure it will rebound.

I have about 5 million and although not much, I'll hang onto them till it gets another crack of the whip (I bought between 2-5 satoshis)

It needs a new Dev with a new plan, otherwise it's a good idea and has potential for a niche market.
