People would require you to put bitcoin into escrow so you would be losing money and helping anyone else.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 29, 2014, 10:47:52 AM
I don't think we will ever be seeing 10k because it seems bitcoin has been reasonably steady for a few months. I think this may be the best time to sell personally.

I would check the price history. The price has been stable for way longer periods. Before, everyone was saying Bitcoin will never go to [insert number here] because it was volatile. Pretty funny you're claiming the opposite here  Cheesy

It's just my feeling  Roll Eyes nothing others should take seriously but I've been thinking of selling recently because im just wondering what would shift the price upwards instead of down.

Surely theres a issue with instant payments such as secuirty. Bitcoin has a delay for processing and for security. so you add the funds to someones account before the Bitcoin is even sent? that could be exploited very easy.
1025  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC games? sort of clash of clans on: May 29, 2014, 10:38:08 AM
There was a game which you had to build a village and go to war with people and earn bitcoin whilst doing it but it woud take you a very long time in order to earn at least 0.01 bitcoin. search the forum for bitcoin games. I cant remember the name but I believe it was something golden.
1026  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Explain the process of bank transfer with localbitcoins on: May 29, 2014, 10:36:49 AM
I've searched around and found out the process and thanks for the replies everyone. Although I don't know if it's worth the risk of dealing with someone who I don't know and they could be paying with stolen fees. is there any security enforcement on this?
1027  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Domain Portfolio Sale - 0.2 BTC ea on: May 29, 2014, 10:35:01 AM
What are the fees of transfering them? would we have to pay those fees or are you willing to?

1029  Other / Off-topic / Re: I have something to spare, who do I send it to (2150 BTC)? on: May 29, 2014, 10:30:42 AM
Do something which will benefit many people not people who gambled their bitcoins and lost it because thats their own fault.

1032  Economy / Service Discussion / Explain the process of bank transfer with localbitcoins on: May 28, 2014, 10:54:33 AM
I'm looking to sell some of my bitcons at localbitcoins but i dont have the knowledge of how a bank trasfer works. what information would i have to give to the other person? I don't want to end up giving away sensitive bank information. Any one explain the process and the things i have to give to the other person?

1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are under 18's using Bitcoin? on: February 20, 2014, 02:56:08 PM
Some under 18's have rich daddy.

And how could a currency be illegal under 18?

If they are using a exchange to withdraw Bitcoin to usd or what ever fiat currency then that would illegal and I should imagine their parents could get into big trouble.

Surely they're father would do it instead of a inexperinced minor.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should I join the Bitcoin Foundation on: February 20, 2014, 02:55:01 PM
I can't possibly join a Foundation that still has Mark Karpeles as one of it's board members.  As long as someone like that remains in power, it would seem hypocritical for anyone to join or be elected while you have that major stink in the room.

Seems the only reason they are getting so much hate now is because of mark but I still think they are corrupt for the way they are handling donations and haven't even paid attention to the petition against him.
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are under 18's using Bitcoin? on: February 20, 2014, 02:53:19 PM
They mine. Buying Btc is not the only way to get it you know. Some might have done it long time ago, others mine alt coins and exchange for btc. They won't be able to change those btc to fiat until they are 18 that is for sure.

How would under 18's with no jobs be able to afford mining equipment that sounds a little unrealistic to me.
1037  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can we de-throne the foundation? on: February 20, 2014, 02:52:01 PM

... if all the big players started to denounce the foundation then they would lose all credibility.

wow, it's not like they are the enemy, just start a new foundation

[/quote]

Could start a petition to remove the Bitcoin foundation all together I doubt many people want this though as there is good potential there.
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should I join the Bitcoin Foundation on: February 20, 2014, 02:51:04 PM

Do not touch or donate to the bitcoin foundation until MtGox BTC withdraws are resolved.  They represent the community, the community needs help.

This.  As long as MtGox is involved, stay away.

Can this be Confirmed?

Can what be confirmed that mt gox is involved? Mark is the owner of mt gox and is a founder of the Bitcoin foundation I doubt mt gox even donated to get on their website and was just put on there.
1039  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Obligatory I'm not dead or running post on: February 20, 2014, 02:50:01 PM
Does no-one know anyway to contact him? Raffle coins have yet to be paid out... almost 2 months after the drawing.

Theymos stated he's contactable via email and someone posted his alleged one somewhere in this thread I think.
yes Theymos is trying to contact him by email lets hope we have some good news about this in near future

Is he? Has he said he's doing this?

Theymos said he has his email nothing about contacting him I don't think.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should I join the Bitcoin Foundation on: February 20, 2014, 02:49:17 PM
Even if mt gox is involved what do the foundation actually do for the community? They don't do much I can tell you that.
