644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I keep a Hot wallet secured ? on: July 14, 2014, 09:05:23 PM
Just leave what you intend to spend in a short time period. if you are planning on purchasing something within a month for $60 then leave $70 just in case. Otherwise I can't really think of any good ways to prevent losing all your savings.
645  Economy / Services / Re: I am looking for some work on: July 14, 2014, 09:01:56 PM
I am still looking for work.

Consider joining a signature campaign not really work but if you are posting then its another way to earn a extra few bits on the side.
646  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you know that most girls are Bi? on: July 14, 2014, 08:58:53 PM
I WISH more girls would be bi, think of the threesomes! Cheesy
Actually if you had girlfriend for some time and you asked her, then i'm sure she would tell you that she had something to do with another female.

most of my previous girl friends would take offense I think I don't know how somebody would go about asking that type of thing.
647  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion on: July 14, 2014, 08:57:40 PM

HELP CRASH BITCOIN ..??
I am certain you could find some enthusiastic support for "crashing" some alt coins.  Cheesy

649  Other / Meta / Re: Congrats hilariosandco on: July 14, 2014, 08:55:30 PM
Congratulations Smiley
So how much does a mod earn these days?

they get a small portion of the advertisements bought at the auction sub forum (I think) but I don't think they get much because there is a lot of staff members at the forum and not many buy adverts.
650  Other / Meta / Re: Can I pay people who petition for compensation? on: July 14, 2014, 08:53:47 PM
Suppose I make a thread and say, if you do something to help this project, petition to be paid in this thread. Then someone says hey i made this really cool video that explains how altcoin x works. And i say hey thats great ill send you 1 altcoin x. Have i broken the rules?

Broken the rules? Doesn't sound like breaking any rules to me. Sounds like your paying someone for adverting or making a tutorial about your alt coin or what ever alt coin? It's similar to paying someone to make guides about certain things etc.
651  Other / Meta / Re: I regret not putting a capital at the start of my username on: July 14, 2014, 08:52:11 PM
Maybe it can/will be changed:

theymos occasionally changes names by request.

The recent one I have seen is this. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=665508.0

Adding or removing text to/from a username is particularly likely to be accepted because it doesn't make it significantly easier for someone to scam. Your identity isn't really changed. I tend to ignore requests for complete username changes except from veteran members. (Even then, it's one of the lowest-priority requests I receive, so it can be forgotten. I have kind of a "leaky queue" for forum work -- if I don't get to a request in a couple of days, I usually drop it.)

Thanks for quoting that. I might consider contacting theymos about it and if it gets changed then thats great if it doesn't I understand why he couldn't do it. I always thought you needed to purchase donator status to change username.

EDIT: It got updated even though I didn't send a message yet. Thank you very much this has made me a lot happier that I don't have to stare at that "b".
652  Other / Archival / Re: [SELLING] itlookup.com Information Technology - ITIL Domain Name on: July 14, 2014, 08:47:54 PM
If you can reduce the price below 1 Bitcoin I might be interested in buying the website. But I would want to use a escrow to protect both of us.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. Banking: An Infographic on: July 14, 2014, 08:45:50 PM
Thanks for sharing! Great article!

Quote
Credit Cards go through four processes before a transaction is approved while bitcoins go through only three. If you store your money in a traditional bank, you risk bank runs, inflation and deflation due to government actions. Bitcoins main concern for risk is someone breaking into a wallet without proper preventative measures, such as encrypting your wallet, and your coins being taken.

I hate that I need to use my bank account ...

I believe and truly hope that it is a matter of few years when I will be able to pay for everything using my Bitcoin Wallet.

As for now I am forced to use a bank account :]

Kind regards.

I can't wait until the day where I can shut down my bank account and don't have to worry about those money grabbers. though I will have new worries in keeping my Bitcoin safe.
654  Other / Archival / Re: [help] how to get 1 btc in 1 week on: July 14, 2014, 08:43:00 PM
600 odd dollars in 1 week would be very hard. if it was easy everyone would be doing it because thats more than some full time jobs. Offer services at the services section if you are a good programmer it should be  pretty easy  to get that amount.

300$ will help also, do you have any method ? Undecided

Hmm it really depends on the person. Do you have any skills worth mentioning? I know there are a few jobs over at the services section but normally require good skills in a certain area.

I don't think it is different not according to one of the posts I read its a fixed date and time every 2 weeks.
658  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: July 14, 2014, 08:37:45 PM
It will never reach 100k, 10k not even 5k. I think it would be pushing it to get to 3k. 10k is a lot to ask  for and I don't that will happen in our life time.
659  Other / Meta / Re: Activity (2 week periods) on: July 14, 2014, 08:36:24 PM
I think I read somewhere it's was last 12th so 14 days from then. I'm unsure what time I'll try to look for the thread.
660  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I am looking for a Bitcoin Earning Game script! For website on: July 14, 2014, 08:35:01 PM
So you want a game which would allow you to earn money for people playing the game? Without gambling that would be hard unless you want a very small income with adverts.
