221  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [SHARE] Bittrex Open Registrasi Lagi!!! on: April 22, 2018, 10:58:28 AM
222  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Akses Facebook terancam ditutup di Indonesia on: April 17, 2018, 11:42:25 PM

224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know when to BUY? on: April 17, 2018, 11:14:02 AM
Hello,

Can somebody explain how to decide buying an altcoin?

Let me write what I know;
  • Check the coinmarketcap.com and choose ones with high volume
  • Check the projects
  • Check the chart, if it is pumped, don't buy, wait
  • Check the chart, if it is dumping, wait low volatility

Please correct and/or add other ideas to help noob traders like me Smiley

I will try to give merits to good posts as much as I can.

Thanks.

If you want to check it using chart, technically you need to mastering trendline drawing. If price hits the line, that could be a signal to buy or sell. But note that, it is not always valid signal so we should use other supporting tools like indicators and news.
225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What makes a successful trader, not a gambler? on: April 17, 2018, 11:08:22 AM
Here are some characteristics of successful traders and gamblers:

A gambler:

- Have no transaction method.

- Do not take notes of your views on the market trend daily.

- Don’t care about risk management

- Spend most of your time focusing on winning and making profit.

- Let emotions dominated their mind when trading

-Place orders without consideration.

- Place too many orders

A trader:

-Understand and master an effective trading method

-Have a clear and specific trading plan and comply with it.

- Have a daily note on market view and trend

- Pay attention to risk management for each trading order

-Don’t set making profit and winning as their 1st priority

- Only make the deal when the price model matches the method.

-don’t let emotions control their actions

- Consider coin trading as their career and daytime job.

If you have those characteristics of the gamblers, you should change it immediately. If you have trader traits, maintain them for as long as possible and remember to always think twice before doing.

Those points you have mentioned mastered by professional traders only and I don't think any newbies here hardly achieve that. If I may add, being able to control our emotion to be patient is also virtue to conquer the market. Trading can be a gamble if traders don't analyze the chart first. They only work based on their instinct.
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: April 17, 2018, 11:02:07 AM
Yes of course, numerous institutional investors have jumped in Bitcoin to secure their profit in the future. Bitcoin will be always around to make our life easier. It is not fully adopted by business yet, but the potential it can make is still widely open.
227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have 5K€ to invest ! on: April 17, 2018, 10:57:14 AM
Hi,

I have 5000€ to invest in crypto.

What do you think for buy 5K€ in BTC for the halving, or buy stuff for minning ETH and other crypto?

Thank to all investissor!

That's hella a lot of money mate, if you were residing in my country  Grin

Well, I think you should allocate it for bigger return. Say 50% for bitcoin and the rest for buying top 10 alt coins based on their market cap that you can easily find in coinmarketcap.com. I don't recommend the rest for buying mining rig but it requires expensive resources.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: April 17, 2018, 10:42:25 AM
Just wondering if ETH can

Unfortunately, I don't think ethereum can outperform the crypto giant Bitcoin considering its price comparison that really far, period. Besides, bitcoin and ethereum work differently with their own ecosystem.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: April 17, 2018, 10:32:00 AM

Seems many people treat bitcoin like an asset given how much it's gone up over the last year or so. But some academics disagree with that assessment. If it is to be treated as a currency, it will need to stabilize to be of use.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/24/nyus-dean-of-valuation-says-bitcoin-is-a-currency.html

IMHO, bitcoin can function as both asset and currency. Initially, it was meant to pay for goods anyway. Because of its demand very high, now its price is increasing along the time till now. You are right, because of that finally most of people treat it as asset.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: April 17, 2018, 10:08:02 AM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

Bitcoin notoriously used in the dark web anyway. Fortunately, it has been developed for something better than that. We need it to disrupt expensive traditional banking system to send and receive money everywhere. Besides, a lot of startups have been established using blockchain technology.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should i do after buying bitcoin on: April 17, 2018, 10:04:42 AM
I have 20$ of bitcoin. What should i do with it instead of spending all.Tell me Pls. Cheesy

Seriously only $20 Bitcoin? I hope this is not another kind of joke but hey that's good mate! Better than nothing. Well, I suggest you keep hodling because if you sell it for other coins I am afraid its fee will eat all your profit. Over past years, 1 BTC was worth $1 only anyway. So, better hodling mate  Grin
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your bitcoin story? Good or bad on: April 17, 2018, 09:57:54 AM
Every one has a story to tell so share your bitcoin story for us to learn from. Either good or bad.

My bitcoin story is really bad but I can take a lesson from it. In the early this year, I was rewarded 2 ETH from promoting an ICO, but I invested more than half of it in Bitconnect worth $1500. Actually I knew this website was a scam but I thought I could still can make money out of it. It was about time it would collapse. Then it happened, I was really depressed. I had the money. Learning from my mistake, joining random make-money-fast programs must be avoided at any cost.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Government. on: April 17, 2018, 09:43:14 AM
Is it good combination about bitcoin and our current government? lets talk about this things if these two option was combined in the future, Our government used bitcoin and spread to every people in there countries. For me it is good. why?

Because:
1. Is good for all businessman for good transactions. Buy something and sell something.
2. Is good for payments needs to pay like billings every month.
3. For less time and moved for travelling on anywhere we want.
4. Its easy to transfer money from other country with less taxes. this favor is aprove for ofw's
5. Easy to transfer money if they needed immediately like emergencies. pay for medicine.

Theres a lot of good reason.
Pinoy 🇵🇭 Telegram 🇵 Group

I appreciate your opinion mate but I don't think bitcoin and the government can walk together all along because their fiat would be in danger. So, suggested solution is that the government create their own digital money by adopting bitcoin technology.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing to Bitcoin is not that easy on: April 17, 2018, 09:27:50 AM
There's a lot of things you need to consider that if you don't give importance your investment may be at risk so here are some of the things ou need to consider or to study.

Learn about the basics first such as:
• Bitcoin wallets
• How Bitcoin works
• What is Blockchain
• Types of wallet
• And different kinds of investments

Second Learn what kind of investments you need to do, here are:

• Trading
• Holding

When you've decided what kind of investment you're going to do start finding exchange where you will bought your first bitcoin there's a lot of platforms where you can buy bitcoins such as:

• LocalBitcoins
• Binance
• Coinbase
• Just search on the internet.

NOTE: You should know the risk you're going to face when it comes to investment remember that there's no assurance that if you invest you're going to earn so invest only what you can afford to lose.

It is yourself that make it complicated. Instead of saying Bitcoin is not easy, why don't you suggest any idea to educate people about Bitcoin in simpler method? You know it is more important that rewriting content from website anyway.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering? on: April 17, 2018, 09:24:01 AM
Between 2004 and 2010, HSBC laundered Billions of Dollars for the Mexican Drug cartels and nobody blinked an eye. After

7 years of doing this, they got busted and they paid US$1.9bn in fines. {This could be recovered in profits, within a few

weeks} Most people saw this as a slap on the wrist for the people who were involved with this. Not one person working for the

Bank got jail time for doing this.  Roll Eyes  https://observer.news/featured/5-years-ago-hsbc-fined-record-us1-9bn/

Ross Ulbricht, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for creating and running Silk Road, which allegedly facilitated

the sale of $250 million worth of drugs.

Why are we seeing such double standards, when Bitcoin is involved?

Bitcoin can be used anonymous, I think that is why most of criminals use it for money laundering. Because of its decentralization, almost all countries hate it as well. I believe it is more dangerous if it not regulated real fast globally. It has a side effect which is price might fall deeper but it will find its way to be clean from the dirty hands.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc good experience for young people on: April 17, 2018, 08:39:40 AM
Hey, I'm not old but I'm closer to old than young. I was fortunate to get into the stock market early and even a couple ipo's which led me into real estate etc. so now I'm in crypto, follow it, read it still trying to figure it out. Anyway, although everyone is now talking Bitcoin I think this story has sent a message about saving and investing to younger people. I don't think speculation is a good lesson but the ability to do more with ur money than spend it or gain no interest in a bank account is a good thing and I only learned it by listening to others as I was making my way.

I don't think btc is the answer to everything and it could even crash, that would also be a lesson, but the US population in general does not save a lot of money, perhaps this new development could help change that.

Good for you! Even Warren Buffett has regret not investing when he was still younger. I managed to purchase my first stock when I was in the early 20. But nothing to regret. We have to work hard and smart to achieve our dream with Bitcoin.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news! on: April 17, 2018, 08:34:38 AM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korea-allows-cryptocurrency-trading-real-name-registered-accounts/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Hey guys good news here. Hope this will affect bitcoin price and it will grow up. What do you think?

This is what we need. Bitcoin is decentralized but doesn't mean Bitcoin can't be transparent. It is very important to avoid any fraud and to prevent money laundering. S. Korean government was doing the right thing. Much better than banning crypto currency completely.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the invention of the century! on: April 17, 2018, 08:30:09 AM
You are right! But it's more than that! Bitcoin disrupt expensive tradition banking system to send and receive money everywhere. It is even cheaper, safer, and still traceable in the blockchain. Besides, Bitcoin is extremely applicable to help business owners and customers to make transaction. The whole world should be informed about this Bitcoin in order to make it more demandable.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: when is the right time to invest on bitcoin on: April 17, 2018, 08:17:55 AM
hi would like to know when is the next price to invest on bitcoins ?

anyone can advise

thanks

Anytime! Bitcoin trend is bullish for the long term. If you buy high you might suffer loss temporarily. It's just about your patience anyway. So, if you spot any deep in the chart, it's your good chance to jump into the market. Remember it only works on Bitcoin because it is "mother" of cryptocurrencies. Buying other coins can be risky other than Bitcoin.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will regulation kill cryptos? on: April 17, 2018, 08:13:37 AM
Actually Bitcoin needs regulation. Why? Regulation is extremely important to protect investors from Fraud and SCAM. It doesn't kill crypto at all. But it has a "side effect" as we can tell, the price might drop. But don't worry, it will rise again.
