One winning bidder who doesn't understand bitcoin's problems and bought the 30k mainly for his son. All others probably did their research before placing the bids, and had bid well below market price. Conclusion: no dumping of the SR coins, neutral to market in the short term.

@potential buyers, If you are interested to wait until it hits $5000, I have a few thousand BTC for sale. Contact me.
Interesting, rpietila seems to believe that the uptrend is running out of steam.

Does anyone here really think people that are managing $100s of millions, or even billions, care about overpaying by $12 million? ...
You probably don't personally know any filthy rich people. Believe me, they care about that kind of sums, that's how they built their wealth. And 12M$ wouldn't have been worth the advertising he got. He probably bid a bit over market price, and won since all others bid well below.

Interesting... So far 13% of the voters went for >8000$, which is utterly delusional.

Looks like Huobi is going to be the first to dump...

OP, the answer to your question is: because those people are over-leveraged long, and fear a long squeeze that would wipe out their trading funds.

So, what can you buy from Newegg and you couldn't buy from Overstock months ago?

I guess the pump was based on the fake winning bidder's list, and now it's back to normal.

... Why would the price increase if some groups of people was able to buy on a cheaper price? ...
Pump now to move the market to a higher support level (if it holds), so when the coins will be transferred from the USMS, sell them for a larger profit?

... Investing implies letting money work in a sense that it is actually utilized by somebody else. ...
I beg to differ. The fiat money invested by late adopters into bitcoins is utilized by early adopters to buy mansions, luxury cars and silverware. Thus requiring even later adopters to invest fiat into bitcoin, so the late adopters themselves can buy mansions, luxury cars and silverware.

4h and 1h MACD suggest a moderate dump possible in the next hours.

Really strange for Huobi. Such dumps have happened pending FUD, but now it's weekend, no FUD should come until Monday.

It's the 27th, I voted 575$ and so far 65% have been wrong.

Not that stupid if you consider that altcoins draw their source of dollars from Bitcoin almost exclusively. If Bitcoin shrinks, so do they.
Altcoin holders when seeing the value of 'x-coin' dropping against BTC and BTC also in a downtrend are more likely to sell their x-coin for BTC and then BTC for fiat, increasing the seller pressure.

This is why you should ignore bears
If you would have been thorough, you would have noticed the context: that day the price dropped from 12$ to 9$, and the next days just below 6$. During the next 3 months it dropped down to 2$. So his bearish views were confirmed on a medium term. Someone who ignored the bears back then made a big mistake.

Instead of talking to ShroomsKit maybe I can obtain a Shrooms Kit and have my own crazy visions and feelings about what is behind market movements. What is included in a Shrooms Kit anyway? A bunch of accessories and tools?
You should definitely give it a try Just mushrooms? I thought it was something stronger, based on this:

Total sum of active $ swaps is still 25M$, just below the peak, average rate has dropped. I don't know, is BFX supposed to have all the $, or can they operate with a fractional reserve (this may be a silly question )?

I have some doubts that it will work properly in micro-gravity.
May I know why, I'm curious ? I don't know if this is what Tzupy was talking about, but perhaps along the lines of what a commenter on the site mentioned, the reduced gravity would require the printing process to be modified to ensure no defects were introduced into the printed objects. And maybe these modifications would require additional material or energy, making the process less efficient. Still, I'm pretty sure actually sending replacement parts to the ISS would require far more resources than simply printing them aboard directly. Found more information about it, so now I believe it should work: http://www.madeinspace.us/made-in-space-and-nasa-to-send-first-3d-printer-into-space
