121  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: October 30, 2023, 06:08:59 AM
Many governments are moving to push hard to reduce sales of diesel and petrol cars, the European Parliament has officially approved a law banning the sale of new petrol and diesel cars in the EU from 2035

Quote
The landmark law will require carmakers to cut down CO2 emissions by 100 percent.
The 100 percent cut in CO2 emissions from new cars sold would make it impossible to sell petrol or diesel-powered cars in the 27-country bloc. The law that comes into effect in phases that will require a 55 percent cut in CO2 emissions for new cars starting 2030, which is a much higher target in comparison to the current 37.5 percent.

Some reports indicate that the costs of running an electric car are actually lower than the costs of running a car with an internal combustion engine.
So, will this goal be achieved by the year 2035? Will the cars be more efficient and at a good price compared to current prices, or is it a policy that may take decades?

It will be reality in nearby future. Because there are other types of vehicles becoming popular like electric vehicles. In my country, even the leading political company is in favor of no more petrol cars by 2030.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 30, 2023, 06:04:57 AM
One of my older brothers bought bitcoin with that money, instead of keeping it in the bank, about 6 months ago, the price of bitcoin was 24-25k+, and he bought about 1 BTC. The price of bitcoin has increased to 34K+. In just 6 months, he has made a profit of 9k+ dollars, which would have taken more than 20 years to get from the bank. This means that bitcoin can become a millionaire if people invest in it at the right time. I also bought some bitcoins myself and did it by withdrawing money from the bank. Success is not possible if you do not take risks in life. I know how hard it is to make money and if it is to sweat your head and work day and night, then it is worth it. And we can make a lot of income by buying or trading bitcoin with the right rules. I think bitcoin is a bright future for us.

Yes, Bitcoin can give decent returns. But do not invest everything in Bitcoin, keep some money in bank also. This is because the returns with Bitcoin is not guaranteed. Sometimes when there is bear market, your funds will get locked for very long time. Then you will regret that you invested all the money in Bitcoin.

Who cares?

Those who lost money because of the attack.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto? on: October 30, 2023, 01:46:27 AM
I think it's fine to call shit coins some weird things too, I traded my precious gold (BTC) for some shit coins thinking that they are going to be the next big and better Bitcoin, I was dead wrong, so many people are looking for the next Bitcoin and I was one of them until those altcoins start sinking deep to no return.
-snip-
LOL, Damn coins are a disaster that I have also bought.
There were even many that I bought back then by exchanging some BTC, ETH, and USDT to buy them and they ended up being useless junk in my personal wallet.
I even did my research and the coin was good in the beginning but when the hype was over the coin sank and became worthless.

But that's still nothing compared to my other purchases, which used thousands of dollars of my own funds to buy an NFT for a P2E game I was hoping to make.
But in fact, when a few weeks passed along with the bitcoin price entering a bearish trend, everything collapsed and even the NFT was worthless until now.
This silly thing even made me have no more capital at that time and had to get up again to start from scratch.

That will be a lesson, that the best investment is in Bitcoin and top altcoins like ETH, not in new coins that will only scam in time.

Yes, Bitcoin has proved its worth for long time. Other types of crypto have lost relevance but Bitcoin has proved to be useful till now. It is used  for payments, to buy services and even for offline e purchased on stores in some countries. It will always be more practical than something like NFT with no real use case.
125  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges allowing fixed monthly investment in BItcoin on: October 30, 2023, 01:43:43 AM
Where are you in the world? Not every exchange operates in every country.

NOT YOUR KEYS NOT YOUR COINS

NO MATTER WHICH EXCHNAGE YOU USE

Don't leave your BTC on an exchange, deposit -> trade -> move coins to your own wallet.

-Dave

This thread can be helpful for newbies. There can be live services or upcoming ones which will allow automatic  SIP deduction of payment to buy Bitcoin and then transfer it to some safe wallet.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Surpasses Tesla, Ranks 11th Globally on: October 30, 2023, 01:40:48 AM
According to the latest data from 8marketcap, Bitcoin's market capitalization has surpassed that of Tesla, now ranking as the 11th largest global asset by market value. Bitcoin's market capitalization is approximately $676.6 billion with a 14.13% increase in the past 24 hours, while Tesla's market capitalization stands at around $673.1 billion with a 0.04% increase in the same period. This sounds crazy.

Comparing growth of Bitcoin with the growth of a company might not be a good idea. This is because the journey is completely different. This can be observer worh rate of growth. The rate of growth achieved by Bitcoin or crypto is impossible to be done by any other company. When someone starts a company there is lot of time required for setup and other things.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto? on: October 27, 2023, 02:14:13 PM
I have nothing weird that I've purchased through Bitcoin. It is always the usual ones that I also used to purchase with cash.
That's why if ever that there's something weird that's been purchased on crypto, I have nothing. Although I watch nonsense videos on YouTube about these content creators telling that they've purchased mystery gifts on the dark web using Bitcoin. However, I know that those were just for contents.

Most people buy usual services only. Like me also prefer to pay for online services aith BItcoin only. It helps me track payments also.
128  Economy / Exchanges / Exchanges allowing fixed monthly investment in BItcoin on: October 27, 2023, 02:12:37 PM
What are some good exchanges allowing fixed monthly investment in BItcoin? I need options where my funds will be secure.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto? on: October 26, 2023, 06:31:11 AM
In a deal, 2 years ago, I asked the seller of a real estate project, if he will accept crypto for plot but he demanded some extra money for this deal. So, I was not able to close the deal but may be in future, I can buy something unique with crypto.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Real Estate: Is it worth it? on: October 26, 2023, 01:43:06 AM
I've seen digital property being sold for thousands of dollars (USD) in Decentraland. I'm yet to understand why digital real estate is appalling to mainstream investors. Owning a virtual property is not the same as owning a real one. It's just like NFTs (through the form of digital art, items, etc.). It may be all hype that will eventually fade away into oblivion. Or maybe I'm wrong?

Do you think digital real estate has a future? Is it worth it? If not, why? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

Real or conventional real estate is itself so lucrative. It will also increase your reputation to own one. Then why run behind digital real estate which has no existence in reality. Such concepts are still new and this lot of risk is involved in this. In future, if this market also matures, then you can think about investing in digital real estate.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: October 26, 2023, 01:26:31 AM
3) Checking the community of the project on social media. If there are lot of bot replies or comments on their posts in social media like Twitter, there is strong chance that the coin price is being manipulated.
You will see this point quite a lot of the project is running a bounty campaign to promote their projects. Most of the comments there are just garbage and so many recycled words that is not bring nothing constructive into the projects.

I would not recommend checking the Twitter for this kind of matter, would be better to check the telegram to see how well they manage to answer any queries from the askers both investors or just lurkers. You'll see something good there based on how well they answer and how the supporters acting.

The reason behind this common pattern in all projects is that they outsource this work to same companies most of the times. Or in worse cases, same person is behind these multiple difference scam coins.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 26, 2023, 01:24:28 AM
I get why people keep betting even when they lose.  Each new bet feels exciting and hopeful, like maybe this one will be the big win.  It's kinda like chasing a high.  For other folks, it's just entertainment, even if they're not winning and  theres also the social part - some enjoy betting with friends and chatting about it.

Betting or gambling with friends is very common in many country. In fact, many people become friends because of this one habit. In some forms of games like cards, this is very common even in offline gambling.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: October 26, 2023, 01:22:13 AM
Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? Many here will feel that this is waste of time and will also not let them enjoy the game peacefully. Do you also have same mentality?
The company I register with have a nice record of this and that is more than enough. Through their platform,  you can see your gambling records on daily, weekly and even monthly  basis. There is also the flexibility of choosing a period and the records will be displayed, showing individual bets played, total won and total amount lost for the period chosen.

That is really a cool feature in my opinion. Can you disclose the name of the company?

137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 23, 2023, 03:18:49 PM
Even though I don't live with my parents they are aware of it, since I've been gambling even when I was a teenager, and I am also open with my father about it, and there are times that I would tell him how I gamble back then.
It's really good if your parents allow you to gamble because not every people are have such "privilege", most of people will try to gamble secretly and lying to their parents. It's bad because you broke the rule from your parents, but gambling isn't bad as long as you know how to control yourself.

Those people who can control gambling habit in limit can make other good decisions in life as well and do good financially in their life. It is obvious that their parents will be happy with them.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 23, 2023, 03:16:59 PM
Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?
In my case I am not that kind of people who were addicted with gambling. I do gambling in some times for the entertainment purpose. So in my case it would be that my wife is more important to me than gambling.  I will ask her why she is asking to stop this gambling. Then if her words seem logical to me, then I will not increase my words and if it does not seem logical, I will make some arguments. And even If she still say to stop playing it, then I'll stop it, I mean try to stop it.  Grin
Like many, I will also say that why would he or she tell you to stop gambling?  It will mostly be the case of those who are more addicted to gambling and it is causing their financial crisis and family problems. Even then if there is no such reason if he or she say to stop you this, then I think it's better to let it go because gambling is not bigger than family.
Wont really be that a problem if you arent that into gambling on which you would really be just that easily be able to deal with if ever your wife soon to be will really be making out such request or saying that you should quit but they wont really be saying things unless you have done it on which it is really just totally that have sense. lol. If we do put up on some assumptions that we are really that indeed doing gambling and they would really be asking about quitting or stopping then it would boil down in your own choice whether you would really be that quitting for your good or really love that still continue and would put up the risks on the relationship that you are into. Some could really just do and some cant really just take up the risks.

Some people might not really that much that letting other people do really involved on what are the things that they are doing but
there are ones who would really be doing everything for love and would really be sacrificing anything or losing everything for it.
It does really actually depend.
It's not just about the wagers; it's also about the excitement, the entertainment, the lights, and the noises. However, the truth is that your future wife is probably expressing anxiety for a reason. She might have observed something you haven't, or she might simply be concerned about the future. She's worth listening to in either case.

The question you must ask yourself is "Do I love gambling more than I love her?" if she is urging you to stop. Even if it's a challenging question, you must provide an answer. Some people are able to successfully juggle their love of amusing online gambling with their interpersonal connections, but not everyone can. Priorities, priorities, priorities are the key. It's your decision whether you want to put your relationship at jeopardy for the thrill of the game. But keep in mind that love is also a gamble, and there are moments when stepping away from the cards to concentrate on what really matters is worthwhile.

This is the reason why sometimes it is important to take other people opinion also before making any section. There perspective can be different as they might  be seeing something that we have ignored.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 21, 2023, 06:08:18 PM
Lucky for her I am not a gambler because there is no need for her to ask me to leave gambling. But what if I am a gambler and my future wife told me to leave gambling? Well, since my family is my priority I will definitely without a doubt leave gambling.

Most prospective wives/ wives ask their partners to stop gambling because they are afraid you are too much in gambling so that it ignores your family, many cases like that happen, even violence because gambling in the family is also many happening, but while you feel able to cover up your needs And your responsibility as the head of the family, I think they also will not forbid you to gamble, but here must be a note that you are only to look for the pleasure of gambling not to double your money, it can destroy yourself.

You are right to some extent. But even the people associated with gambling are smart now with their financial decisions. They are not like past gamblers who used to take loans for gambling. Someone who is doing gambling with crypto is already wise enough to be aware of crypto. Such a person will not be involved in activities like violence for gambling.
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if there is no crypto bull run for next 10 years ? on: October 20, 2023, 03:28:50 PM
It is difficult for us to predict what would have happened. I expect the price growth would have been slow and stable. This tech would have been full of tech savy people within a small group. New ideas like AI, Web3 would have been developed though big tech companies which eventually led to a loss of interest over previous technologies. The whole altcoin industry wouldn't exist.
The industry would stay alive, and the adoption level would just slow down because most people these days join the industry for the profits they expect to get from their investments, and if they see that there isn't much growth in the market, they wouldn't be interested and will probably look for other ways of making investments and earning money because the world wouldn't stop moving and humankind will keep looking for ways for their own survival for sure.

If we talk about altcoins, I think the top ones will stay, others that don't have strong fundamentals might not be able to survive if there aren't a lot of investors in the market and altcoins are basically dependent on Bitcoin when it comes to their price going up and down and if there won't be much movement in Bitcoin, there wouldn't be much in altcoins as well and most of them might die off.

One thing I did not understand is that why will altcoins not be able to survive when there is less demand for them. Do they have some fixed monthly costs to operate? If not, whatever valuation is there, they can always survive with it.
