1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any gambling site that uses bitcoin? on: June 04, 2018, 04:35:30 AM
Not just online casinos, these days even physical casinos have started accepting Bitcoin. Every since Cryptos came into existence, people started to have surplus money in hand and I think gambling places are the ones which have benefitted the most from it.
Here is a link of top 5 casinos that accept Bitcoin payments - https://www.casino.org/payment/bitcoin/
So many gambling ICOs have also come up. Gamblica is one such project that I am aware of.

Still there will be limitations while using bitcoins at a physical casino. Both for deposit and withdrawal , you will have to wait for some time as they will require to at least wait for some confirmations. This can de done in seconds at an online casino and then you can play once transaction is conformed. For a physical casino, you will have to visit it even for for a small bitcoin deposit. I have no idea if they charge more transaction fees as well.
1042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: June 04, 2018, 04:33:16 AM
I really want to believe that anyone who cannot actually stay without gambling is somehow addicted because that is what addiction simply means. Good thing you realized this and I really hope a lot of people who have derailed can understand that gambling was never meant to be a money making scheme as it is just a game of luck and rather than wasting money trying to look for things you obviously will not find in gamble, while not gamble the money on some real investment or probably find a work to do and earn something substantial daily but I guess some will just never get it.

I actually never thought about how I was able to recover but it was a combination of factors. In addition to the primary reason that I mentioned earlier (busy work schedule), changing my environment worked as well. I was introduced to gambling by neighbors when I was living on rent. I left that place and it helped a lot as well.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: June 04, 2018, 04:31:06 AM
Instead of feeling bad for yourself, you should be happy that you cannot waste a lot of hard earned money in gambling. As a gambler, it is not possible that you don’t have any idea regarding true nature of this game. All it brings is pain. Losing small amount means small suffering. How about giving up on this game and spending time on something that can make you rich like these casino guys.

Agree with you. Most of the people just complain about the money they lost in gambling. But in my opinion, the time lost in those activities is even more important. One realizes this with time when he really gets engaged in some real business or job and compares the returns for same amount of time spent.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: June 04, 2018, 04:25:02 AM
I agree with you because playing online gambling is not difficult and we don't have to complete any documents. just register on the site, make a deposit if we want or we can get some free coins and then we can play. we can use the android phone or laptop or personal to play and like you said, we can play it at everywhere without anyone knows.

Also, online gambling has resulted in new opportunities like gambling with Bitcoins. It is not possible to gamble with Bitcoins in a physical casino. To gamble with Bitcoins online, you will have to first make an account on respective website. Thereafter, you have to add some Bitcoins which are added to the account after some confirmations. Thereafter, you can play with the deposited Bitcoins and withdraw the final earnings. These websites usually charge some fee for withdrawal like 2%. It is one of the easiest ways to earn Bitcoins online.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: June 04, 2018, 04:24:21 AM
No one allows gambling to become addiction for him as it becomes an addiction without getting noticed by the gambler that’s why their treatment becomes very difficult because the time when they become aware of the fact, it’s too late for them as gambling has made a base in his mind till that time and destroying that base is very much difficult because it consists of whole building on it.

Treatment is difficult at later stages but it is not impossible. I know a lot of people who were addicted to gambling badly but they recovered and are leading a very good life now. As per my personal experience, the only way to avoid that stage is to keep yourself busy in other activities that are more important for your survival.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 04, 2018, 04:22:35 AM
Nice thread with some real experiences. Mine will not be that interesting as I have already overcome addiction.

This story is of two brothers who introduced me to gambling. Their current age will be about 40 and 32. Both were addicted to gambling. The older brother started with offline gambling and was also involved in various other illegal activities. The younger one was having some part time job t pay for bills and the money he used to loose on gambling online. Their parents knew about this but they perhaps gave up on them. Lat time I checked  about them, all 4 were living in a rented room of 100 sq feet.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding Online Casino Bonuses on: June 04, 2018, 04:14:16 AM
There are rules and regulations about the bonuses so people must read this to fully understand on how  bonuses works in online casinos. This is one way of attracting players and for sure something is hidden on this kind of advertisement. You win for sure in short run but expect to lose more money in the long run so better to be wise while playing with online casinos.

I agree. There are different wager requirements in different websites and thus you should gather all this information beforehand. It is mentioned clearly in rules section.

Then there are special bonuses on some exchanges as well. These are usually given for making the deposit through a particular payment option. One such payment option is Neteller and you can expect about 10% extra as bonus with this payment system.  One should read all rules to make best use of these options.
1048  Other / Meta / Re: Is the merit system flawed? on: June 04, 2018, 04:00:55 AM
as far as i do not wish to think about merit, but the merit thing is halting my advancement to be very very honest.

And I had to admit the rank could be most useful for signature bounties and it aint really fair if the old timers are the ones hogging to the pie only

You can only focus on own profile. Many members who joined after you advanced to the next rank. You can see various threads here sharing data about how many members advanced to next level after the merit system. You can also do this if you focus on the correct things. Good luck.
1049  Other / Meta / Re: Merit for helping on moderating the forum (?!) on: June 04, 2018, 03:57:10 AM
Why are people attacking the merit system left, right and center? It shows that majority are not concerned about the quality of the forum but just quantity.

Because the majority will not be able to get merits because of bad post quality.

You can see the same behavior everywhere. For instance, when students do not get good marks in exams, they will start blaming the subject or the teacher. In reality, it is those students who are not making good effort. Same applies here.
1050  Other / Meta / Is there any bounty for reporting security bugs on this forum ? on: June 04, 2018, 03:55:31 AM
Is there any bounty for reporting security bugs on this forum ?  If yes, where to report it. Details of official rules and bugs covered will also be helpful.
1051  Other / Meta / Re: KYC at Bitcoin talk account in place of various bounty manager? on: June 04, 2018, 03:53:54 AM
Admin has already ruled out that possibility in the past. So you can think of other suggestions to stop people abusing the signature campaigns here. Some of the bounties do require users to give information or have some additional requirements like joining a telegram channel. This will not eliminate multiple profiles completely but will reduce the numbers for sure.
1052  Other / Meta / Re: Any suggestion for me? on: June 02, 2018, 02:58:50 PM
Can you suggest to me some interesting contents on making post?
Gonna make it extraordinary..  Cheesy Thanks!

Anything will be appreciated!

I checked your past posts and you are doing fine. However, when you post anything like this thread, be prepared for some attention and serious analysis of your profile.
1053  Other / Meta / Re: Demand for sig managers on: June 02, 2018, 02:56:55 PM
I have a question for you Admin. Why don't you send those people interested in advertising here to the advertising packages offered by this forum ? You sending them to an affiliate manager (however reputed he is) can cause unnecessary troubles.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there still hope for the altcoins on: June 02, 2018, 02:52:36 PM
The downturn is temporary and provides an opportunity for weeding out coins with nothing but hype backing them up. Of course solid altcoins will thrive and will be among the leaders in the coming years.

Yes good coins will recover. One of these can be  Substratum. Valued at $0.51, Substratum was launched in the third quarter of 2017 – with an ICO of $13.8 million. Substratum, an open-source network, lets anyone rent their computer as hosting server and earn cryptocurrency. Substratum is aiming to become the foundation of the decentralized web. Users should definitely keep an eye on this one.
1055  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Idea on: June 02, 2018, 02:52:21 PM
Instead of rewarding users for sending merits, deleting the merits if not used for some time is better idea. Sharing merits is not something that takes a lot of time. Admin did wrote the message in merit history page that they can delete merits in future to avoid hoarding but this was not implemented in reality here.
1056  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk history of hacks and vandalism. on: June 02, 2018, 02:50:06 PM
I did not knew that this forum has faced 3 hacks in the past. This is really something to worry about as out information is also disclosed to the hackers. Was the forum able to catch any hacker in any of the cases above ?
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have potential to grow? on: June 02, 2018, 02:45:20 PM
As for me, there is no any other coin that have a good potential to grow except ethereum. Ethereum future is great i believe.

There are various other small coins like Dragonchain. Currently being valued at $0.78, Dragonchain is a business platform, incubator, marketplace, and blockchain. It is probably the friendliest, most secure, and flexible platform and it has plenty of benefits and features – not to mention that it is connected to Disney.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best upcoming ICO on: June 02, 2018, 02:43:54 PM
I think people need to watch out for ICOs coming up on ICON and EOS platforms, these two platforms are great and are likely to be a big hit, there are some names of projects being thrown around recently but the date of the ICO has not been confirmed yet. For now, I will pick Dav network, Token Union, Quarkchain and Qurrex

One should check the team behind an ICO.

Last year, Filecoin’s initial coin offering (ICO) became the largest token sale in history, collecting $257 million in contributions. And aside from being built on really cool technology, Filecoin is also being backed by some well-known companies, such as Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Union Square Ventures, sending Filecoin on the first spot of top  alt coins to invest in 2018.

1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS or ETH, which one is preferable?? on: June 02, 2018, 02:43:32 PM
Both EOS and ETH are good. You can also consider Ethos. Currently being valued at $2.90, Ethos is one of the promising contenders for the top 5 alt coins to invest in 2018. Ethos’s aim is to make cryptocurrency investing accessible for a non-expert with a universal wallet, liquidity coin, and easy portfolio management. With Ethos Universal Wallet, Ethos makes it easy and safe to transfer money of any form – anytime, anyplace, and in an instant – for free. This piece of innovation will surely close the gap between technical experts and average users.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: June 02, 2018, 02:41:42 PM
Based on the information, financial stability and performance, bitcoin is the best and perfect cryptocurrency that suited for a long term investment.
Investing in bitcoin provides you a assurance that you can become financial stable in future and you can achieve all your dreams with the help of them.

There are many other alternatives like  Filecoin (FIL). Valued at $18.72, Filecoin is being eagerly anticipated as a decentralized storage solution. There are a lot of competitors in the market, but Filecoin stands out because it is built with IPFS, a protocol and network designed to create a content-addressable, peer-to-peer method of storing and sharing hypermedia in a distributed file system.
