21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are the most popular ICO listing sites? on: August 30, 2018, 03:50:33 PM

Well compiled list, I would also suggest to take a look at those that list bounties, as many times bounties can tell you about how popular an ico is.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How long will bounty programs stay with us? on: August 30, 2018, 03:49:47 PM
No one knows, maybe if it is no longer needed, the bounty program will leave. With the bounty program, there will be many who help to introduce ico and the products offered, if the project does not need product introduction, it will stop its business.

It think it will last as long as many projects need a way of gaining some adepts and it is reasonably cheap to do so by selling tokens instead of paying fiat I guess
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are most new tokens Ethereum ICOs? on: August 30, 2018, 03:48:41 PM
Hey guys! I was just curious to know why most of the tokens I've been seeing have been on Ethereum. What are the benefits?

It is a widely adopted and a well proven algorithm, it can handle a reasonable tx volume and it is accesible through many exchanges. It is quite useful frankly.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many assholes in ICO industry? on: August 25, 2018, 03:30:33 PM

This industry is unique in many ways, but it has a similar number of stupid people per square inch than the rest. It is a new economy and many different people are inclined to run to it.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Analyze the Three Basic Elements of a Blockchain Startup? on: August 25, 2018, 03:26:53 PM

This investigation always starts by taking a look at the documentation that every project should provide. Besides painting a clear picture of the business model, they should allow the investor to analyze three core elements that determine the viability of an investment. These are the startup’s plans in regards to marketing, legal, and more importantly, technology. A proper execution of these elements during the ICO process says a lot about a team’s capabilities going forward....[/i]

So wrong. The investigation does not start by reading what they give you, but looking for clear identification and careers of the team members to see if anything else is worth reading.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want from an ICO? on: August 25, 2018, 03:25:17 PM
Having taken some time to look at a number of ICO's in depth, it looks to me that a large number of them may be marketers first and developers second. They all seem to be great at selling a vision or product but when you actually start to scratch beneath the surface, you start to notice that they promise the impossible, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. That's not to say that all ICOs are like that, there's a number of very well thought out and genuine ones.

So my question is, what do you want from an ICO with regards to its presentation and what they offer? Is having a working demo or MVP the most important? Is it all about the team or does that not matter if they've already demonstrated their competence? Do you want the ICO team to generate hype and "oversell" or would you rather a more honest and direct approach?

I don´t want quick profits, but I don´t want to buy something that goes to 25% in a week, that is not a way of investing. ICOs should set more realistic goals.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australians can pay bills in Cryptocurrency! on: August 25, 2018, 03:19:45 PM
https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/08/21/new-partnership-allows-australians-to-pay-bills-in-cryptocurrency/

Thanks to a new partnership, Australians will be able to pay bills using a number of cryptocurrencies!

That is good news, Australia seems to be decided to lead the way but many other countries will follow until cryptos are normalised and become just another usual thing.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Volumes are growing. on: August 22, 2018, 04:28:14 PM
Interesting fact: starting from July 16, the volumes of BTC increased significantly.According to tradingview. If you look at the weekly schedule.

This is a lost month to trade and to gain frankly, it is much more ineresting to start checking the next season ICOs and see what do they have on the next year.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many assholes in ICO industry? on: August 22, 2018, 04:26:50 PM
Everyone wants to earn free money. So is assholes. Its our responsibility to not get hijacked by them and lose money. When selecting ICO put very good time to search all the facts about it

It is a business that attracts all kind of people and have a good stance on the side of the less diligent individuals. That is just a sign of the frontier economy that cryptos live in.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are not independent! on: August 22, 2018, 04:21:42 PM
How many studying this forum, I see a lot of topics, such as:
"Ethereum is dead?"
"Achieving Etherium$ 15,000 or more this year?"
"The price of Litecoin will reach 400?"
"Why is EOS falling?"And many similar questions.. I want to give an explanation of what is happening... Everyone should understand that individually neither Etherium nor Litecoin, virtually no cryptocurrency will not go against the General mood of the market! That is, where the most important cryptocurrency Bitcoin is sent, all Altcoins follow it. And if now the price of Etherium is 430$, although at the peak reached 1440$, then this does not mean that the Etherium died, and this is primarily due to the fact that Bitcoin at the moment is not worth 20000$, as then, but 6000$. And only Bitcoin begins to come to life, once the entire market is green. I understand that for many this is not news, but I hope this information will be useful to someone...

Of course they are not independent, but that is the same with the stock markets, the bonds and other financial instruments, they all move more or less at the same time.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can ethereum be bearish? on: August 22, 2018, 04:19:35 PM
Ethereum has been making some loses for quite some time now and I wonder if this loses are going to continue.  Before this time ethereum is always carry along when bitcoin is bearish or bullish but now that is no longer the case.  Today I see bitcoin making some  gains and ethereum is falling.  How long can this continue.

Normally, after large falls there is certain room for small peaks, so if you play it carefully it does not matter how long they last, but how high they get before dump.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trident coin, world's first coin based index fund on: August 22, 2018, 04:15:45 PM
As multiple digital currencies beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum have taken off, many crypto enthusiasts have proposed diversified portfolios of blockchain-based assets. Hence the proliferation of crypto hedge funds seen this past summer.

But not everyone who wants to invest in a basket of crypto assets can afford the minimums or fees of a hedge fund, and nor do all such investors want to hold anything more daring than a basket of the top coins.

Enter Trident crypto index fund, which is launching the HOLD 10, a new passively managed index fund of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by inflation-adjusted market capitalization.

The index will hold and weight the top 10 cryptocurrencies by inflation-adjusted market capitalization, taking into account the supply inflation schedules for the next five years, in contrast to the more common ranking by current circulating supply on sites such as Coinmarketcap.com.

Eligibility requirements include that a coin needs to trade on multiple exchanges, its monthly trading volumes must exceed 30% of circulating supply for the last three months, and it must have a free-floating price, not one pegged to another asset.

This is much like crypto20 and does not seem to provide clear ownership and acreditation is doubtful. There is plenty to do before getting it ready
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to promote an ICO on: August 18, 2018, 09:42:11 PM
In your opinion which is the best way to promote an ICO at initial level to create buzz?  Do you think Ann threads are enough for that and how much is the role of bounty campaigns in that?

There is no substitute for a powerful signature campaign, particularly one that is long and has the ability to gain support from the senior members that have large signatures.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A man in UAE took six figure loan and lost 85% of his crypto value on: August 18, 2018, 09:40:46 PM
This is how bitcoin affects people and even countries and regions: it will show you that your greed is your worst enemy and that is something that you should try to know sooner.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better for hodl? ETC or NEO? on: August 18, 2018, 09:39:13 PM
ETC was just listed and trading on coinbase. Comparing with NEO, which one is better for holding?

I don´t think there is any reason whatsoever to hold ETC. The community is small, the developments insubstantial and there is nothing to say about where this fork came from
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: August 18, 2018, 09:38:05 PM
In the following year ETH will overwtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency. I would dump your bitcoin while despite everything you can.  Undecided

Judging for the results of the market and the trends, you are really wrong. It also seems that it not going to happen this year nor possibly in five, so happy fudding.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT DOES HODL MEANS ANYWAY?? on: August 18, 2018, 09:11:29 PM
A lot of newcomers to altcoin think that HODL is another way of saying “hold.” Actually not, the truth is a little more entertaining.
It actually means “Hang On for Dear Life,” an old British expression that means if you give up or let go you will die. This usually refers to extreme situations such as sudden price fluctuations or collapses.

For your information 😊😊

Not at all. This comes from an old post, dated in 2013 I think, in which someone wrote about why he "hodled" because he was a very bad trader I seem to recall.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest problem of altcoins on: August 15, 2018, 05:05:27 PM
I saw month ago - NEO has done it pretty good , i mean it did not fall in price, when BTC went down and dragged all altcoins with him. For me this is a good sign , that coin gained the power and not so dependent from Bitcoin.

NEO is fine, it tends to have news from time to time, so it pays to be watching the twitter and the official channels to know how will it move. It is a good one.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people want ETH to over come BTC on: August 15, 2018, 05:01:13 PM
Why some people want the Ethereum to over come Bitcoin in the near future? Is it because they make profit from ETH or what?

The reason why some people wanted Ethereum to overcome bitcoin in the near future is because they have a vested interest. They have huge ethereum on their account balance and that is why they want ethereum to overtake bitcoin so they could be millionaires if that happen. Its a common attitude of people and thus we only need common sense to answer it.

Well of course, it is not only a vested interest it is that people, believe or not, actually do hold ethereum just as much as the hodl bitcoin. It is also a promising one.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you care about product? on: August 15, 2018, 04:59:31 PM
Of course, I think one of the main reasons to invest is to make it into a product that you think will work, and if the ICO has a demo or model that they can reveal is much better, those ICOs rarely fail and I'm always looking to put my money into ICOs like that.

A demo is not enough, you need to have a mVP that can be tested in the market inmeditely, is not about shoeing is about learning about your users.
