don't forget that today is the big day! Polymath's token distribution. they even uploaded on their youtube of them sending tokens to addresses. Pretty cool concept. I watched for an hour and found my address Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juvaaWQOgTAMany people feel that this airdrop that requires a KYC is just a scam. Frankly, they are not getting my ID documents directly uploaded to their web in exchange for an "airdrop" that many people feels is a fake.

IMO the price drop is unrelated to the hack or whatever it was. NEM has been pumping for a while and a correction may come from any excuse. The hack itself is meaningless.

Hello, I would discuss the topic. What do you know about Airdrop? Why do u think ICOs provide us with the airdrops? Do they just want to attract more people? Rise the value of their currencies pretending that people buy their cryptos or just share some of their currencies to reward the community?Btw, There is a company KickCity. They issue their own currency based on Ethereum Network, but at the same time they use referral links program to spread their currency for free as well. So they both attract people and reward them for participating. May it be considered as airdrop as well? website https://ico.kickcity.io airdrop/telegram chat https://t.me/kickcity_chatI believe it is really good to provide airdrops because it contributes towards both companies and community. Many companies use good thing and I believe that it is good until they are scammers. What i your opinion on this topic? I am interested in hearing any ideas so feel free to say whatever. Yet another promotional post of Kick City today. Frankly, you are starting to get noticed but for the wrong reasons. Anyway, and answering your question, airdrops are intended to generate liquidity, as many users will sell and buy as well as adoption, that is, paid adoption in exchange for free tokens.

Hello i feel shame when asking this but i am really confused . i see here is approx 1400 coins in market but i want to ask if i launch my own coin how i will get profit ? how i will manage development and other expenses ?
for example Sathoshi made bitcoins but i am unable to figure out does stoshi getting reward from it or maybe earning ?
please explain in details if you know near me there is lot of expense
At this point people should be considering if their coin has any merit at all. But more than the people who launch new coins, I would strongly advise everyone to think twice about putting their money of productless and featureless coins.

Although I know that residents of USA are restricted from participating in ICO's, I was wondering what exactly would happen if a USA resident does indeed go around it and still put their money into one. Would the SEC take the money, or what kind of consequences are there?
IMO that would depend on what precautions has the company taken to avoid it. The buyer himself I think would not suffer any consequence, but the company would have to prove that has taken all reasonable measures to prevent it.

Please, do the world a favour and unless you are creating a technologically superior coin with an innovative use case... please donīt create yet another coin. Or even better, unless your coin cures cancer, just donīt do it.

I am opening this thread so that people who have been on ICOs and have endured them can provide a guide for "good practice" for companies launching ICOs.
PLEASE DONīT POST GENERIC COMMENTS. I intend to curate the thread and edit this message is sufficient members have relevant things to say. If you want to spam, there are many threads out there.
Curated contributions:
- Obviously, donīt scam. - Set clear Soft and Hard Caps and donīt change them. - Have your telegram groups moderated. - Have a group for bounties and treat your hunters as partners, not as beggars. - Donīt make decisions that harm your community and investors. It will come back as negative publicity. - Do no whitelist three times more contributors than what you need. At a certain point is best to close the list because you will create a community of angry people than will not ever buy your token. - Donīt ignore your community and have a decent response time. - Set realistic soft and hard caps and do what is required to achieve them. - Fix the dealines / dates and adhere to them.
Please, add...

Neo will get there. But it will take a little bit of time to get the top ten. Every good project required time to develop, go thru the test of time, and build up a solid community.
As I am writing this, NEO is basically swiming when all others including BTC are drowning, it is quite a show to see this.

I have stumbled upon this web page https://www.fuzex.co/ and they are developing a card that seems really futuristic. Firstly because it has advanced safety measures and secondly because it combines several cards into one and includes crypto. What do you think about it? Do you think this could solve the crypto to fiat bridge? Oh, I really hope they can make this a reality. The specs are quite awesome and I would seriously consider buying one. But I would rather pay for one once it is ready.

A coin must have clear fundamentals and have a clear value proposition. Does it solve any of the fundamental problems that current crypocurrencies face? If no, then no matter how high it goes, it will all be due a marketing/hype-job whose will be short lived and will leave everyone that doesn't dump on time bankrupt. This describes 99% of altcoins out there and this is the only valid analysis.
Yes.. and no. The perfect coin would have great fundamentals, a clear use case and be at a 50% discount on pre-sale However, as thing are today, it is possible to profit from a less than perfect coin as long as you know when to jump of the horse.

Hey there
In june & July I bought Digibyte & Stratis & Siacoin with all my bitcoins, till now I lost almost 80%
What can I do, HOLD or Sell or What!
How did you manage to do that? Most of the altcoins have gone up in value, so you must be a real master of the loss! Given the situation the only advice I can give you is... Donīt trade.

Hey guys, My team just launched https://etherbots.io and you can buy an exclusive presale lootcrate (and redeem it) right now. It's a decentralised collectible form of Robot Wars, and there are over 2 million unique robots possible to create. We've hard capped the number of crates from the presale at 3900, and hardcoded in an end date, as we're launching the full game in less than two weeks. >inb4 shill (yes, it's our game!) >inb4 copycat (we're the first real, non-ponzi game since Crypto Kitties.) Hope you guys enjoy. Get them while they're cheap Frankly, I would feel much more reassured if the user was not a newby. Nothing related to classism here, it is just that it looks suspicious from the start. But just for my amusement, is this another "cat attack" on the Ethereum network? Are you trying to block next months ICOs on your own?

Government is not completely responsible if the community are lacking in financial education. We can start to educate ourselves by reading books about financial literature or searching through the internet. All we need is an initiative because we can learn about these things if we are not dependent in the educational program of the government. Even at home we can share our essential knowledge and skills to our kids to guide them and become aware regarding this matter.
Governments are very different in different parts of the world. Some authoritarian governments are fully responsible but others that have democracies (in different levels of participation) cannot be blamed as it is the citizens themselves that donīt ask for it. Without education, democracy is not possible. Without financial education, governments are not held responsible.

i still believe in ICO, but i will contribute in ICO with a lot of potential with great vision, also very clear roadmap and professional team member too
There are some incredibly good ICOs out there! It is stupid to think that all are scams and that is normally the case o those who are just not able to analyse a business plan nor, for that matter, tell a potato from a car.

It's a scam for hyping the crap out of this thing, keeping 50,000 people waiting and hanging on their every word, and then making last minute changes so that hardly anybody will actually be able to participate. Maybe it's not a scam in that they are not stealing from people, but they are up to something. And even if they aren't, this trainwreck doesn't inspire confidence in the company.
I have to admit that it does not look good. It has a huge telegram group, but it is not organic, is just adoption paid with theoretical coins that are never reachable. Never send a passport without some mark on it.

Oh, so easy, even I feel tempted to launch the BBR coin (Black Box Records) and say is a PoW ASIC coin that will rule the world. It is just easy money, easy promotion paying with tokens... even if the project makes just a tiny bit of sense some guy from Korea will throw in his ether.

While you're saving the world with "scam" accusations......you may want to go after some really bigger game...
>Bitconnect, a literal Ponzi scheme $2.5 Billion
>Tron, literally a scamcoin selling the idea of "Web 4.0" to normies on Twitter went to $17 billion
>Cardano, ballooned to $20 billion on just a whitepaper
>Qtum, still no product yet, $4 billion
>Dentacoin, literal Bulgarian Pajeetcoin for dentists, $2 billion
>Bitcoin Gold, pointless fork of Bitcoin, $4.5 billion
>Verge, a "privacy" coin that leaks its users' IP, literally a dogecoin hardfork that's still valued at more than a $1 billion
>Eos, $6 billion, no working product
So these total around $57 billion dollars....go gettum!
100% agree with you on most of what you have said there, but if xspec was worth 5 billion you would need to add i there because all these projects except 2 or 3 have one thing in common ... terrible distribution which has led to manipulation and market making to create huge fake caps. however i do actually view xspec to be better than most of those you have listed in one way or another Wow, thatīs a really impresive list. It is true that nowadays is easy money as it was during the internet golden era. And in the same manner, it is not yet clear which horses are winner and which ones have only three legs.

so this means, u got ETF only if u hold your ETH on KuCoin or Binance? Bcs i hold my ETH in Mew and i never received any ETF
I donīt know about the exchanges, as most of my eth is just in an address ready for ICOs. However, I am sure that some exchanges would credit you a ETF in an account. Otherwise, you would probably need to open a ETF address, but as pointed out on this thread... not worth it.

if you had many bitcoins now, do you sell them or hold?
remember if you sell now and : Price drop : you will be lucky millionaire. price goes up later : you will be stupid millionaire.
if you don't sell now and : Price drop : you will be broken. price goes up later : you will be Billionaire
So that is a fantastic argument for selling in any case, as an Stupid millionaire can stupidly use its stupid millions for whatever (stupid) things he wants to do, whereas a stupid guy broke has not much LOL

Well, it depends on your strategy, and type of coins you've select. For instance, if you find a new perspective coin, which will be able to enter in top 50 crypto, you will better hold it till your expectations come true.
I agree with you. it all depends on what altcoin we have, because there is a good altcoin for the long term and there are even coins whose prices are falling. Yep, well in general terms hodling with care could produce results, but as a general strategy, is it still the best way? I think that there are alternatives that may give more yield??
