Well I just bought ~1000 DMD from that shrinking whale  But I think this is it. He will keep the remaining 40k DMD at "cold". He will open it again in 2 years for staking. More stupid behavior from the side of the bag of money, it is difficult to imagine. With the network and interest expanding I believe we have a need to expand the permanent nodes. Currently they are too few in number.
We pay transaction fees currently to support them, I believe we should expand this process. Long time, trusted members of the community could be reviewed and their "permanent node rights approved."
More nodes = more security. Especially as we go through volatile times with the Bitcoin markets at the moment.
I know I for one would open a permanent node, currently I host 47 active connections at any given time. With a small DMD incentive I could easily expand this to 2-3 servers supporting up to 1250+ clients each. I would be almost entirely paying out of pocket, but small DMD fees could help offset this. While at the same time achieving our main goal of propagating Diamond and securely it properly.
I already run a server farm, with an incentive I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be willing to put in the work and expense to expand our permanent nodes.

What is different about Diamond's PoS system then that makes it not have the usual problems so many other PoS coins have?
Is it a matter of which original type of PoS a given family of coins was cloned from?
For example the setting your clock forward less than two hours but maybe close to two hours, that one is apparently quite widespread?
You do not come across as knowledgeable about these problems so it is not clear that you have enough knowledge of them to actually even have seriously examined your code to be sure they do not apply to it?
For example the recent coin Axiom apparently has the problems, they are claiming to be looking into fixing them.
It is not clear whether the recent coin NINJA has them or not.
So far I have not come across any coherent explanation of which ancestries of coins have them or if maybe all of them do.
The problems are ancestral, dating back I don't know how far, inherited by many coins as they keep cloning each other.

And your time zone coincides with the real time. for example BitTorrent Sync. Perhaps that the development of the code, many coins were based on a basic system time as a reference. Does diamond have any kind of fixes against the stake cheating that seems to be in most Proof of Stake coins?
Apparently there are a number of the problems but the only one people have described publicly is the one where you set your clock ahead.

hmm i invested 57 dollars to cloud mining and another 57 to buy dmd.
so far my cloud mining earns .17dmd a day. in 1 year i will have 62dmd. at current rate i will have .01.
maybe i should just buy at bittrex!
