1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, coin mechanics, 50% POS on: June 15, 2014, 07:19:17 PM

We'd like to reach out to the community and see what things they'd like added next.  Your feedback is extremely important to us.

Our goal is very clear, to make Diamond a serious player in the crypto coin market.

Some things that have been discussed are the following:

- A paper wallet that allows you to import coins without losing the "age".

- An android wallet that is able to allow "minting" of the coin.

- Setting up a merged mining pool for coins using the Diamond Grøstl algorithm and be able to merge mine.

- Setting up a multipool that will allow you to mine using ASIC's, SHA256 and be paid in Diamonds.

- Some press releases announcing the new Diamond.

- Getting Diamond listed on a couple exchanges.

We will have bounties for some of the things listed and develop the remaining in-house.

Again we want to emphasize that this coin isn't one person or group. It is a coin for the community.

We have explained a rollout of the new coin here http://dmdcoin.net/forum/index.php/topic,991.0.html

We want to make it clear that long-term, that Diamond will be a rare and valuable coin

Right now we have a few people mining  the coin and selling instantly at the exchange(s).
Once we reach a certain barrier their will be less and less of that..

Again, we'd love to hear from you, so please post your comments or send me a PM.
Regards,
Brian
Team Diamond
Hi
You need a more serious approach to the new site http://bit.diamonds Its shell looks promising, but many links do not work. No normal DMD blocks explorer network. At this point it is worthwhile paying the utmost importance. Until now, not work objective monitoring on the site http://coinmarketcap.com
I believe in a great future for this coin, but only if the development team will be strong. And will promote Diamond on the market more resolutely.

Great news! Website still quite fresh. The first step is to create a new  quality blocks  explorer Diamonds network.
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: June 01, 2014, 11:20:22 PM

All this is of course great, but starcoin needs a new site ..
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, coin mechanics, 50% POS on: May 31, 2014, 10:58:46 PM
Of course it's impossible to debug any software 100% especially the one of such complexity. We would be aiming at making it very robust, so we wouldn't have to change anything significant for as long as it is possible.
Client functionality for an 'ordinary' user has been already tested positively; what we concentrate now are things that would affect minority of users (i.e long term serious miners). We can test these on our Foundation wallet with thousands of micro transactions.
The client will be released once we are sure it is ready.
The next step will be definitely contacting Cryptsy and giving them a lot of time to test the software (and this time GitHub will be properly used and appropriately commented so it is transparent to anyone what changes have been made), to avoid any trade freeze. Mining pools and then 'ordinary' users will follow suit.
All of that is going to happen sooner then later.

P.S. I've updated the first post with Download links to Sourceforge for those who cannot use Mega.
Work quietly, the main thing that the update is delayed for months. Coin with the Diamond name should correspond to its name.

It is possible that Community Diamond now very few participants. Moved too slowly work. In this situation, work must be carried out in different directions - new site, improving and promotion coin, wallet for mass acceptance, quality network blocks explorer .. Maybe you need to consider the option of increasing the staff, and to attract new investors to his team..
When people see that the project Diamond is actively developing, then the price will go up.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: May 23, 2014, 11:39:35 AM

Many coins simply dream of being on a cryptsy. Starcoin seems not appreciate this opportunity

This. This is why I did a fixed build. I did it being in a simple hope that someone who is strong in marketing but have no programming skills would pick it and develop.
Decent answer. thanks anyway. Why do not you want to become a member of the new team to support starcoin? Personally, I am not strong in C + + but versed in web design and have free time.
Also, I have a small amount of starcoins.

Please note, I am not going to be a developer of this coin, I just released a fix that may allow the StarCoin to survive.
Then why do it. Or coin will have normal design and own team or do not need it and must die. Let worried those who are bought tens of thousands of these coins.
They can’t sit back and wait for something indefinite

The community should decide to support the coin further or not by running wallet or not running. The holders could hire someone for part of their stakes, for example, if they do care. The coin has no team for almost 6 months already: the last update to the coin had been published on Jan 7 and it was a checkpoints update. At that time the PoS was already broken: the last PoS block submitted to the net on Sat Dec 14 12:49:20 UTC 2013. It had been delisted from cryptsy and then listed again in Feb. So, there is still quite a number of people who likes it for some reason.

Juts tell me please, if Gavin and company announce today that they quit the project, would Bitcoin die? Why do you think that the existence of a dedicated dev team is a must? I agree that it is nice, when the dev team exists. But still, this coin survived during 6 months without any developer support!
Survived? Total price dangling below the plinth. I think someone decided to buy more coins for pennies in the hope then sell expensive. Developers should take care of the coin, have your own website and be investors. Without such an approach - success will not. I like starcoin beautiful name. It would be unfortunate if it dies.

If developers want to be a coinocoin  has survived, against the background of the upcoming arrival of ASIC mainers is necessary to achieve the appearance of trading on cryptsy

Price dropped to half after a massive dump - probably the early miners who had such a low difficulty from the get go after the code change to groetl.
About what a massive dump you say? Diamon will have only 4.7 million coins, this is a drop in the ocean compared with the Amount in other alt coins.
If developers DMD implement all what they say + coin will add to the Chinese exchanger, maybe in the fall we will see the price of $ 10 per coin.

Now the complexity coin production is not quite adequate to its cost, but still waiting the coming changes.

At the moment, high extraction complexity not corresponds to the low price.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: May 21, 2014, 10:26:43 AM
It now remains to wait when there will be a new team and new developers. Otherwise, it can be stated that the death of the coin.  Undecided
