In the short periode of time where I followed fiatleak, I saw like 20k BTC in something like 1hr or so, Insane! I saw over 9000 in one minute on a completelymadeupsite.com |

I'm just pointing out that the info on fiatleak that he's basing that statement on is clearly false. fiatleak shows pretty much only china as buying or selling btc right now. it's showing 125x the volume in China as the rest of the world. |

possible conspiracy theory: i think the US govt made mt gox an offer they couldnt refuse(threats from govt?), help bring crash bitcoin with a transaction maliability bug excuse and they will get off the hook for money laundering. the govt does not like bitcoin competing with their reserve currency
China is buying BTC at 20 times the speed of the rest of the world right now. So if your theory is right, is this an attempt to destabilize Chinese economy too  Bitcoin is a financial nuke! Total B.S That Fiatleak map clearly doesn't show any other exchanges cept the Chinese one. You can watch all the volume on btc-e and bitstamp and it doesn't register on fiatleak at all |
