He's deleting warnings to use escrow. Be extremely careful
902  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling on LocalBitCoins? Watch out.. on: August 13, 2014, 12:28:51 PM
You should have turned the tables on him and told him you know someone looking for a hitman.

Then when he says he can do that, call the cops for conspiracy to murder.

By saying that, you'd be part of the conspiracy.

Actually you wouldn't, saying you know someone isn't illegal. How do you think they set people up in those fake hitman stings?

The person who says "yeah I might know a guy" then rings the police doesn't get arrested.
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi will ever spend his bitcoins? on: August 13, 2014, 04:48:30 AM
he could wait til it's near universally accepted then donate 1000btc per day to a good charity for three years.

or give a few hundred million $ to people like federico pistono who are trying their best to change the world and bring about real lasting improvements to society

906  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: August 13, 2014, 04:07:04 AM
It's assumed a Ponzi because of the fact we don't see TXN ID's, a lot of their "behind the scenes" operations are very questionable. Not to mention that by having others say "I'm getting paid, why do you think it's a Ponzi?" it builds their reputation to attract other customers. The earlier customers get their ROI, but newer customers may not. Because the BTC paid by newer customers feed to the older customers, not to mention they might have a storage of BTC that maybe they stole or something, and are finding a way to "give it out for free" sort of thing. What happens if they stop getting income? Their prices and contract lengths are too good to be true for a legitimate mining operation, unless they're getting free or super incredibly cheap electricity.

I've e-mailed them myself about this, and wanted clarification. I suspect they tossed that e-mail away because they responded to my website improvement suggestions and some other basic info, but nothing about how they operate behind the scenes.

I've gotten my ROI from them in terms of USD value. In terms of BTC, I'm keeping track of that on a sheet. They're a bit more than halfway repaid in my book. It'll take a couple more months until it's repaid in full. After that, any extra BTC I get from them is fine by me, plus any extra GH I get from referrals. I'm moving onto Bitcoin Cloud Services, and checking them out. The operator seems more transparent and more responsive than PBMining's operators, so we'll see how that ball rolls. Their pricing is very similar to PBMining with higher minimum GH orders. We'll see how this goes.

Remember they were also originally in Canada, but when Canada tried clamping down on bitcoin mining and changed the laws they were "magically" in Iceland.

It must be really hard to move a real mining facility, a fake one can be moved with a few retyped words.
907  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: August 11, 2014, 04:58:40 AM
You're all fuckin retarded if you think being paid proves it's not a ponzi.

As for using Paypal, it's easy to use paypal anonymously and withdraw to prepaid cards. You can even use a payoneer card with a fake name if you want to do it with a US verified account.

908  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Investment Opportunity on: May 26, 2014, 04:11:09 PM
I'll be honest silverbox you're being a troll.

This business seems legit, either he's a scammer whos gone to the lengths of creating a website which is integrated with paypoints API just so he can gain a few btc from investors - which seems retarded, or he's legit.

And it;s not like hes going to rip off buyers either since paypoint will have made sure of who they're dealing with in order to allow him to utilise their service.

909  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Investment Opportunity on: May 26, 2014, 02:29:37 PM
yeah it's not larger limits that i'm concerned about.

I spent a long time selling bitcoins in London to nervous potheads, the majority will be £30 to £200
910  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Investment Opportunity on: May 26, 2014, 02:19:07 PM
btw I no longer sell in the UK so  I am not competition, I'm just giving my genuine thoughts on your proposition
911  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Investment Opportunity on: May 26, 2014, 02:18:01 PM
ok, well if you enable the ability to purchase different amounts directly on your site then I guarantee you will get more business.

As someone whos been selling bitcoins in the UK for years you get an awful lot of people who want anonymous coins for small purchases (silk road and the like) and who don't want to use their online banking/dont have online banking.

I can see your service being useful for them, but like I said fixed amounts are a major stumbling block there.
912  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Investment Opportunity on: May 26, 2014, 02:09:33 PM
The only advantage I can see with your service over bittylicious is that people are dumb and sometimes want to pay for things with bitcoins and can't figure out bitcoins or have online banking.

if you enable the ability to buy different amounts of bitcoins thatd be a major plus, but unless you do that I can't see a single positive of yours over bittylicious Im afraid
913  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Investment Opportunity on: May 26, 2014, 02:05:36 PM
The UK has bittylicious.com which is the easiest and quickest method to buy bitcoins in ANY of the countries Ive so far purchased bitcoins in.

In Australia you have to deposit cash/face to face
in the US its not easy either
Canada also.

In the UK bittylicious gives you bitcoins within 5 mins of you sending them a bank transfer. Yeah theyre 5% or so above market rates but I can do it instantly from my home, how will you compete with them?

You are more expensive than them too. £100 buys 0.278 with them versus 0.271 with you.

Also you limit people to 25, 50 etc. Whereas I can buy exactly what I want with bittylicious
914  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: May 25, 2014, 04:43:45 PM
Considering the amount of money invested and the number of people involved, I would think that folks should actively try and track down who is behind this now while they are still on the radar.  Because once they do vanish, threads like this will be filled with folks asking how to get ahold of them.  And there is just one foreign Ebay account to work through, which is likely a dead-end.

Nah they fucked up. I have the doxx on PBMining. I would publish it but I'd rather wait til all the PBMining disciples who called me asshole/scammer/jealous are desperate when their money disappears and beg me for it.....

I am the person who exposed one of the largest btc scammers to date..i've doxxed multiple scammers, I love doing it

I know who PBMining is. You can quote ths if you want.

They made a DPR style mistake....lol

915  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: May 25, 2014, 09:43:48 AM
I won't say they are not legit, but just think about things as these everytime you invest: Does 5 year look legit? (no), are the prices realistic? (no), do we have proof of theyr setup? (no).
Again, I won't say they are not legit, but I have my thoughs about it.

I'll say it. They're not legit. If they stopped taking orders today, there is no way they would be able to continue paying out for 5 more years. The numbers just do not add up. The only way thay can stay in business is to get new customers to pay the old ones.

You literally cannot convince some people they're not being scammed.

Funny story, I spotted a scammer on Silkroad, I posted on Reddit outlining the exact details of this scam he was pulling. Someone read my entire post outlining exactly what this scammer was up to and said "he has good feedback, I'm gonna risk it"

And of course that guy got scammed, but he actually decided to buy based on my pointing out that this guy was planning a scam.

tl:dr - People are fuckin retarded.
916  Economy / Goods / Re: [FOR RESELLERS] No-name Visa anonymous debit cards WHOLESALE on: May 25, 2014, 09:41:32 AM
Those cards have limits of somewhere around 3000-3500 USD, and are issued by mBank and I think some others in Poland. However, guys, have you ever heard Latvia is also part of the EU, but quite open-minded when it comes to offshore banking?

Anti money laundering laws are an EU wide directive, so if your cards really have this limit the bank could at any point shut it down, demand KYC and AML information and withhold your money without cause.

I actually doubt your cards have this limit anyway though.
917  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAINTECH - NOT HAPPY WITH MY ORDER on: May 22, 2014, 04:28:36 PM
There are international import codes, I live in a foreign country where customs is notoriously corrupt. When I import things I know theuy will want to add loads of "duties" to I make sure to put the commodity code for that item, and 99 times out of 100 if it's tax exempt and it has the correct commodity code they won't charge me.

I.e if I import $500 office supplies with no commodity code - $200 tax and fees.

Do the same thing with correct commodity code - no fee.

Even put commodity code for tax exempt item on non tax exempt item and customs man can't be bothered to look in box - no tax Smiley
918  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAINTECH - NOT HAPPY WITH MY ORDER on: May 22, 2014, 08:21:37 AM
If they misdeclared it I expect you can write to customs and show what you actually paid.

Bear in mind though customs usually use the value inc shipping cost.

If customs won't refund you then bitmaintech should since it's their screwup
919  Economy / Goods / Re: [FOR RESELLERS] No-name Visa anonymous debit cards WHOLESALE on: May 22, 2014, 04:04:06 AM
They do, basically a couple of Polish banks offer those. One is MBank, i forget the second.. WZK or something similar.

They are sold everywhere and can be purchased for $10-15 retail for the basic one.

IMO, the original poster is trying to make a quick profit.

No, those cards have a small annual limit nowhere near 15,000 a month.
920  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Potential Bitcoin Killer - > Prohibited content in Blockchain possible! on: May 21, 2014, 03:43:27 PM
There's "prohibited content" on the internet too, I'm not concerned about them shutting the internet down.......
