1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US freaks out on MT. Gox meanwhile China hoards all the coins.... on: February 25, 2014, 09:32:19 AM
it's complete bullshit.

Just seen 30 btc go on bitstamp in a few seconds, nowhere on that chart.

60 going right now at $460

Also Reddit reports fiatleak showing china with 35x the US trade volume too http://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/1ugn89/why_is_millions_going_in_to_bitcoin_from_china/

That's from Jan 5th

I think Fiatleak is fiatbroken
1225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This is great on: February 25, 2014, 09:26:49 AM
but for instance I sold 6 btc at £330 each this morning (£1980)

I am currently looking at them for sale for £280 on lbc in the country I am in.

so I'll have made £300 if I buy right now

It's not a lot but I've never traded like this before, it's quite fun
1226  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox just verified me! on: February 25, 2014, 09:22:12 AM
I feel a bit offended that they still havent verified me.

I have been waiting 3+ months with no response.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US freaks out on MT. Gox meanwhile China hoards all the coins.... on: February 25, 2014, 09:16:12 AM
That map doesn't show anything happening on bitstamp whilst they report volume in excess of 100k and you can watch their live order book, dozens of trades of 10+ bitcoins happening as we speak.

1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US freaks out on MT. Gox meanwhile China hoards all the coins.... on: February 25, 2014, 08:58:33 AM
how is that map made? it shows zero trade anywhere but china

1230  Economy / Trading Discussion / This is great on: February 25, 2014, 08:35:46 AM
Selling for £ on localbitcoins.com bitstamp + 20%

Trader in the country I am currently in selling for bitstamp price + 0%

Have sold 6 so far today, not sure when to pull the trigger and repurchase them for -20% less.

If you need stats you can easily look at the bitcoin address for any well known ponzi.

I hear bitcoin addresses have this thing called a public ledger where you can look up all the transactions without actually running your own ponzi  Wink
1234  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Leancy Ltd - Bitcoin Investment - 150% Return & 5% Daily Interest ($5 Promotion) on: February 25, 2014, 07:49:03 AM

The Lieven guy is not an admin of Leancy. I've went through the trouble of finding that out for myself since his name came up while I was researching Leancy in the beginning. I cannot prove what he did or didn't do in the past is true but as long as he isn't an admin of Leancy, I'm fine with it. To my understanding, he is a member of Leancy just like everyone else except he was one of the early adopters.

You don't know much for someone going by the name of LeancyBTC

Also nice of you to keep your customers data so secure

if he is indeed a customer

1235  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGox lost 750K Bitcoins? on: February 25, 2014, 07:28:15 AM
So MtGox got SilkRoaded?
1236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that Gox is dead, shouldn't we have a rally? on: February 25, 2014, 04:40:16 AM
I put 8 on LBC @ $500 each and sold 2 within mins.

Pulled the other 6. there is still massive demand at $500 i'm surprised.

Dunno if I should just flog the lot and buy a bit lower.

1237  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox just verified me! on: February 25, 2014, 04:37:33 AM
I'm still waiting for verification.

Just checked my gmail
1238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Astonishing growth of the American gun culture in 3 graphs on: February 25, 2014, 03:24:22 AM
In Britain you're more likely to be a victim of every violent crime (short of murder) than in the USA where they can defend themselves.

Also our murder rate is based solely on convictions - 1 conviction of 5 murders = 1 added to the murder rate.

So it's entirely possible our murder rate is similar/higher too.

But Brits get all smug about how safe it is compared to the USA
1239  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: February 24, 2014, 04:37:59 PM
Someone with a link to an obvious ponzi in their sig isn't helping my confidence.

Wife think it's a bad idea anyway, which means if I do it and it turns out to be a ponzi I'll never hear the end of it.

If I do it and it turns out to be a great investment she'll think it was her idea.
1240  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: February 24, 2014, 03:47:01 PM
Their domain was only registered 55 days ago.

Seems legit  Wink

How vetted are the advertisers here?

The "feed your greed" slogan puts me off, I ended up taking a job in a boiler room by accident once, and the boss was always going on about appealing to peoples greed.
