I've never seen such devotion in a droid before
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: April 02, 2016, 08:58:36 PM
Although perhaps unknown to many on this forum the CIYAM Developers have been developing a new kind of blockchain technology for the last couple of years (it isn't ready for use yet but is getting close to completion).

As the CIYAM Developers have been involved with Qora for some time we are now considering the idea of perhaps creating a clone of Qora that works using the principles of the CIYAM blockchain (which is not POS but instead a POW for account creation that then works on hash-chains for block creation) as a trial of the concept.

The final CIYAM blockchain won't be a coin and if this Qora clone is actually created then it won't be owned or controlled by CIYAM but instead according to rules that will be part of the coin's creation (perhaps involving those Qora holders prior to the block that was published before this post).

Such a clone would of course support AT and ACCT between Qora and itself (and Burst) so IMO it should actually help both Qora and Burst.

Also to perhaps put things in perspective (as to why I am suggesting a clone) please research Diaspora (which was a failed attempt at a decentralised social network). IMO you can't charge people to create blogs or web pages (as it will never take off) so you need a way that allows that to be free (which requires controlling the amount of accounts that can be created to avoid attacks).

I wonder if all the people buying Qora in the last few days noticed the small print, 'Qora holders prior to the block that was published before this post'

Where can we get a CD from? I'd love one also!!

At the minute I have only printed some for giving away at CoinFestUK but if I have one left over I can post it over to you.

Thanks, that would be most appreciated Smiley

EBK1000, congratulatios on very successful ICO! Smiley

This means your long time efforts on BITZ did not go unnoticed. An honest and responsible Dev is an asset, and I am glad your great attitude, your persistence and work on your previous projects have finally been rewarded. 'Rewarded' not only by money, but most importantly by the trust people have in you.

Cheers! Smiley

+1
Good work EBK1000

>>- First ICO day bonus. Users who buy WAVES tokens on April,12 receive a bonus of 20%
Is this coming from the pool of 1m set aside for early supporters or from the 85m itself?

I would like to know this also
126  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any devs who can make a scammers database on: April 02, 2016, 01:10:19 AM
WAVES's built-in reputation system will facilitate pointing out scammers. Tune in! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1387944.0

A reputation system is much better. A scammers database would look similar to a reputation smearing database, especially if only admins could edit
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: March 30, 2016, 03:46:15 AM

My reply was not only targeted towards you but also to those who constantly attack my technological statements by attacking my motives instead of attacking the logic of the statements. It changes the topic from the technology issues of the CCs I am analyzing to an analysis of myself and my plans.

One of your points was asserting or positing that I need to win support from this forum, which I want to refute. My early adopters will not come from this forum. Even if I had no reputation and no presence on this forum, my plan would proceed outside this forum.

The main purpose of this forum for me has been to learn about the technology and what to not do for a CC project. And also it provided the contacts for the minimal angel funding that sustained me while I completed my learning process, worked on my health, and is sustaining my initial development work until I can get the project crowdfunded (not selling tokens).

I don't need P&D speculators in my coin. The long-term HODLers will be welcome if they can find a way to obtain tokens. I am not going out of my way to help them do so, other than needing to provide a decentralized exchange so that users can cash out their tokens for fiat if they want to. I will not do anything to get tokens listed on centralized exchanges. And I am not making any promotion or promises to investors. Nor am I am offering any tokens to investors. I can't control what other people do with their for-use designed tokens. So you could I guess argue that my reputation here will determine if some speculators go try to obtain the tokens in the free market, but I can argue that there will be many more investors finding out about my project from outside this forum due to the planned crowdfund and later Seedr fund raising for the shares of the software startup I am proposing to launch. We will just have to see if I get any success in my project. Again my greatest challenge is my health. If rangedriver is correct and I am cured from taking Oregano oil, then I can code a lot more myself, and not need to rely so heavily on another developer, although I will still try to add another developer or two, hopefully who are as talented or more so than myself. We will just have to see what transpires. I can't predict.

I'll be watching for news of your progress as I'm a hodl'er by nature! I understand your motivation for using this forum now, I was wrong.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: March 30, 2016, 03:03:24 AM
TPTB needs publicity, not VB

Illogical. I need publicity within the crypto currency arena, like I need a hole in my head (and I already have one of those). The only way my project will succeed is by NOT mentioning there is any plan B to involve a crypto currency to the initial target audience. My project is not primarily about crypto currency. Rather it is about trying to make a unicorn startup in the social networking realm.

You need early adopters, (VB already has his), that was my point. I think your strategy to keep the crypto element on a 'need to know' basis is wise, Jo Six-pack doesn't care how his sausage is made, he just wants flavor

The deleted reply was moved to my project's thread.

Since your and other posts in this thread accusing me of preying on Vitalik's fame require my response. If the mod is not going to delete every such accusation in this thread, then I have the right to respond to the accusation. I have moved that response to my project's thread so as to not clutter this thread.

Consider re-calibrating your responses, my original post (below) was actually complimentary towards you, i.e. VB is smart to avoid debating you as you might be able to show him up, coz you have skills, and you're criticisms aren't easily dismissed.

VB is smart to avoid TPTB, he doesn't need to prove anything to users on this forum, or other crypto forums. His target market isn't reading forums, but TPTB has a right to challenge him all the same. One day I think he will respond when it suits him. TPTB needs publicity, not VB

The rest was neutral and merely states the facts. Ethereum has launched and has acquired early adopters, and his target market is not using this forum, whereas you still appear to be recruiting supporters (is that not the case?). A case of friendly fire. In no way did I accuse you of 'preying on Vitalik's fame'
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Powered by PoSP | Est. 2013 on: March 27, 2016, 10:22:40 AM
A reminder; Wall Buster Incentive Program is still in force - this battle is not over yet!

This program applies only to CBX for sale at .0006 BTC, or cheaper, at Cryptopia.

Please wait for the usual huge Wall to appear before making WBIP purchases.

Once purchased, please send back the purchased CBX to your computer's Vault...

I will donate 400 CBX to the WBIP. Give me an address to send to VonSpass. I'm tired of staring at that wall \O/ yaaawn.

This is very generous of you, your help is appreciated: working together, we are stronger!

My receiving address is 5fJqTqKYXey79cA9CFDT6faXTcanadNcBR

Sent. I'm in total bewilderment as to why this seller is doing this, taken that they will be fully aware of what they are doing, as well as the efforts the community are giving towards taking those CBX off the market so we can progress. Lets get rid of this holdback!

It's a rational play for someone who mined CBX in the early days and ended up with a HUGE CBX stack. Even though this price point is extremely low for most of us given the fundamentals, it makes sense to offload a significant chunk at this price for a whale who's been sitting on CBX for a couple of years and wants to diversify. IMO the dumping whale is doing a good job at offloading his unwanted position in a consistent and predictable way to those with safe hands who want a stake (like myself). Once he's offloaded his excess I think he'll happily hodl a good sized stake like the rest of us. Diversification is a good strategy in the cryptospere!! You don't want to go balls-in on one coin when you can spread your portfolio around.

Was looking for an undervalued coin and TEKcoin caught my eye. The Dev seems legit and the coin is on two pretty good exchanges. I wonder what the backstory is. Did this used to be on bigger exchanges? Any dev changes?

TEK is great coin, and has stood the test of time, so it's a buy imo

Well done with that, good work-around.

Have you completed your submission?

As things currently stand we are likely to be calling the last hour before cut-off in the next ten minutes as we've not had any requests for an extension.

Let's do it! I'm in, and excited Smiley
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 27, 2016, 09:51:17 AM
NEM could be its own AZURE ... the NEM cloud!

AZURE is quickly becoming as ubiquitous as the 90's mullet hairdo ... I think NEM needs something more to stand-out
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar]Burn/buy process for experimental coin started ends GMT12:00 on: March 27, 2016, 09:09:05 AM
It is scheduled to end at 12:00 today. That'll be 12:00 BST/DST what with the clocks having gone forward.

If there are calls for it to be extended for a few hours we are open to such requests.

The process will be that we will provide an update in the final hour announcing a 60minute countdown for final submissions. As soon as the submission period ends a table listing all the deposits will be posted, meaning that any further deposits made to those addresses will not count.

We'll give some time for the community to confirm they are happy that all looks in order and then will post a second table listing the proportional share each deposit will receive. Once confirmed by the community again that the numbers tally we will begin sending the coins to the listed receiving addresses and seek confirmation that everyone has received the number of coins they expected.

Finally, once the distribution has been completed the Bitstarcoins in the deposit addresses will all be consolidated into one address which can be monitored by the community until the new BITS wallet is released. This new codebase will omit that address in the new chain, resulting in a confirmed burn and reduction in total coin supply.

Sounds like a reasonable plan! IMO extending the burn deadline will cause problems, so just close when the time comes. Looking forward to learning more, and following the experiment

lol, " I'm still encouraged, dev is still logging in regularly."

That must be a sign of success  Cheesy

no, sign of life, sign vTorrent dev is still here. Qora dev went missing for many months and didn't  login here ... I was discouraged by that, but he eventually came back and handed Qora over to new guys
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: March 26, 2016, 12:04:57 PM
Vitalik isn't a genius. I can already see that clearly. To be a qualified genius, you have to prove your rarity by your accomplishments.

We cant know yet if hes a genius or not,hes still young, but its obvious hes smart. And that would be one of the many reasons i wouldnt debate if i were him,hes still gaining experience and he doesnt have to do anything alone,he has a huge dedicated team working with him,he cant be better/best at everything, and wouldnt surprise me if in ethereum team were alot people way smarter than he is.And because of that ethereums odds to succeed as a team is very likely (i'm confident they'll eventually fix ethereum's flaws). But ofcourse that success doesnt mean ethereum price will skyrocket,it has to be used and applied as technology, since,at this point,i dont see two coins used as "payment" or "store of value" in short to med term, even btc is not so widely adopted.

VB is smart to avoid TPTB, he doesn't need to prove anything to users on this forum, or other crypto forums. His target market isn't reading forums, but TPTB has a right to challenge him all the same. One day I think he will respond when it suits him. TPTB needs publicity, not VB
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTR] vTorrent - Share with freedom | Bittrex on: March 26, 2016, 12:01:07 PM

If anyone seeds licensed content for free, you might consider him a rebel or fighter for information freedom, but if he takes money for seeding licensed content created by others, he is nothing more than a thief, who sells the stuff he stole...

It will be used by artists, the ones who produce will sell their stuff, not the thiefs.

Imagine how many micro producers, like hobby DJ's and other small entrepreneurs could sell their stuff there.

Whereas big record companties dont accept them.

+1
vTorrent will be a toolbox for content distribution. Who uses it, and how, is still to be determined. I'm still encouraged, dev is still logging in regularly.

CDs have been ordered ready for CoinFestUK.

..
Pretty banner .. I like.

I have a lot of friends in the Serbian music community, pretty much know someone who knows all the musicians. For those that know Serbian rock scene: Kerber is a neighbour of mine, Galija a friend of a friend and that's just the old guard in my city of Nis, all the younger generation are friends of mine Smiley

Have touted the idea to the friends to have a think and 1st reactions are positive.

Music and blockchain are such a natural fit, it is a wonder how little progress is being made there. Bit like gaming, of which both I hope to have a hand in changing for the better  Grin

I'll make sure to give you a CD aswell  Grin

Where can we get a CD from? I'd love one also!!
